Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh body, does it like your early body? Praise party
with me, your girls, Sherry Mackie. It is time right
now for today's word. Guard your heart from the poison
job A twenty two says, those who hate you will
be clothed with shame. There will always be voices that
(00:20):
try to tear you down. Maybe someone is talking behind
your back, trying to damage your reputation, or spreading rumors
on social media. Perhaps they're criticizing you to your faith,
pointing out your faults, making you feel small, making you
feel unattractive or not good enough. It's easy to get upset,
to feel like you have to defend yourself, or to
(00:41):
rehearse in your mind all the things you wish you
could say back. Oh but friend, don't let that poison in.
The truth is not everyone will like you. Not everyone
will celebrate you or treat you fairly. Some people will
be jealous of the favor on your life. The others
will be envious of your gifts. There will always be
(01:03):
bullies and haters who try to push you down because
they're insecure about who they are. If you let their
words take root in your heart, if you keep thinking
about it, replaying the herd and dwelling on what they've said.
It will contaminate your spirit. That negativity becomes like poison,
stilling your peace, clouding your joy, and weakening your confidence
(01:25):
and who God says you are. But here's the good news.
You don't have to drink it. You don't have to
give power to their words. You don't have to fight
every battle and try to prove yourself to every critic.
Job A twenty two reminds us that those who hate
you will be clothed with shame. God himself will take
(01:48):
care of those who rise up against you. He's your defender,
he's your vindicator, and he's the one who will protect
your name. So instead of letting bitterness take root, keep
your focus on your race, Stay true to the calling
God is placed on your life. Keep honoring Him with
your choices, Keep walking in integrity, keep doing the right
(02:08):
thing even when it's hard. When you stay in peace,
refusing to be distracted by the noise around you, God
will step in. He will silence your accusers. He will
lift you up in due season and cause your reputation
to shine brighter than ever before. Don't let the poison
in guard your heart. Stay in faith and trusted God
(02:29):
is working behind the scenes and ways you cannot see. Father, God,
thank you for being our defender and our vindicator. Help
us to release every hurtful word, every unfair action, and
every negative voice into your hands. Keep our hearts fearing
free from bitterness. God, we choose to walk in peace
(02:50):
to God our spirit, and to trust that you will
fight our battles and bring us into victory. In Jesus' name,
that's your word for today. I want you to take
it applied to your everyday life and you continue to
be encouraged to and inspired. It is your early morning
praise party. I am Sherry Mackie.
