Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie,
and it's time right now for today's word. Anchored in
God's Peace, Philippians four and seven says, and the peace
of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts
(00:21):
and your minds. In Christ Jesus, if you're going to
live in peace, it won't happen by accident. Every single day,
opportunities will come to rob you of peace. Unexpected bills
and unkind word, a delayed answer to prayer, even a
small inconvenience that throws your plan off track. Life has
(00:45):
a way of presenting daily irritations and unexpected storms. If
your peace depends only on perfect circumstances, you'll find yourself
frustrated and unsettled most of the time. Oh but here's
the good news. God never promised to remove every difficulty,
but he did promise to give you his peace in
(01:09):
the middle of it. And not just any peace, but
what scripture calls a peace that surpasses all understanding. That
means a peace that doesn't make sense to those around you,
a peace that says, the medical report wasn't good, but
I'm not living in fear. The promotion didn't come, but
I still know God has a plan. A friend let
(01:31):
me down, but I refuse to carry a fence. My
God is fighting my battles. See this piece acts like
a guard over your heart and your mind, shielding you
from anxiety and worry and despair. But here's the key.
You have to protect your peace. If you let every irritation,
(01:53):
every negative report, every rude comment take root in your spirit,
you'll live weighed down. You'll live tense, and you'll live
on the edge. You were created for that. You were
created to live light, to live free and anchored in
God's love. So what do you do? You release it.
(02:16):
You turn that worry over to God. You lay down
that offense, You surrender that outcome into his hands, and
then you choose. Yes, it's a choice. You choose to
live in his peace. The storm may rage around you,
but you can still become on the inside because your
(02:38):
life is angered to the one who never changes. See
that's the peace that surrounds or surpasses You're a human understander.
Oh Father God, thank you that we don't have to
live weighed down by stress, by worry, or by frustration.
Thank you for guarding our hearts and our minds with
your supernatural peace. Today, God, we choose to release every care,
(03:02):
every burden, every disappointment until your hands. God, we declare
that no storm can shake us because we are anchored
in your peace that surpasses understanding in Jesus's name. Hey,
now that's your word or today, I want you to
take that apply to your every day life. You stay
(03:22):
anchored in God's peace and continue to be encouraged and
inspired on your early morning praise party with me your girls.
