Today's Word 09-29-25: God's Math is Different

I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
today's word. God's math is different. Judges seven and two
says the Lord said to Gideon, you have too many men.
I cannot deliver midian into their hands, or Israel would

(00:22):
boast against me. My own strength has saved me. When
Gideon prepared to face the Midianite army of one hundred
and eighty five thousand soldiers, he already felt out numbered
with just thirty two thousand men. Yet God told him
he had too many men. Now you talked about thirty

(00:43):
two thousand against one hundred and eighty five thousand, and
God said you still got too many. See that doesn't
sound logical, does it. But God knew that if Israel
won with thirty two thousand, they'd boast that their own
strength saved them, So he kept reducing Gideon's army, first
to ten thousand men, then to a mere three hundred.

(01:06):
Now the odds looked laughable, but with God's repeated promise,
I will be with you, oh Gideon, press forward, and
against all human reasoning, Gideon and his three hundred defeated
the mighty Midianites. God was teaching us a vital principle here.

(01:28):
You don't need everything you think you need. You don't
need the biggest team. You don't need the perfect background
or the best connection. What you need most is a
presence and favor of God. He delights in using those
who feel underestimated. He delights in using those that feel overlooked.
He delights in using those that feel unqualified because it

(01:51):
allows His power to shine through. Maybe you feel like
you're facing impossible odds today. The resources are the support
is limited, and the task feel overwhelming. But God is
saying to you today, go in the strength you have.
He's already breathed his favor over your life. You are

(02:12):
stronger than you realize. You are anointed, you are equipped,
and you are chosen by God. What seems like lack
in your eyes is a very set up for God's
power to be revealed. He specializes in turning the little
into much, the weak into strong, the ordinary into extra ordinary.

(02:34):
You don't have to wait for perfect conditions. Step forward
with what you have, trusting that God will multiply it,
just as Gideon discovered, when God is with you, you
already have the majority. Thank you, Jesus, Come on, Jesus, Father,
Thank you that we don't need everything the world says

(02:56):
it's necessary in order for us to succeed. Thank you
that even when we feel outnumbered or unqualified, your strength
is made perfect in our weakness. God, we choose to
trust you with what we have, knowing you will do
the rest. In Jesus' name. Ooh, that's your word for today.
