Today's Word 10-08-25: Mercy that Makes You New

It's your early morning phrase party. I am a Sherry
Mackie at it's time, right now. Four. Today's word mercy
that makes you new, Mercy that makes you new. Ephesians
two four and five says, But God being rich in
mercy because of the great love with which He loved

(00:22):
us even when we were dead, and our trespasses made
us alive. Together with Christ by grace, you have been saved.
You know, it's easy to think that God's blessings are
reserved only for those who do everything right, those who
never fail, those who never slip, those who never make mistakes.

(00:44):
But the beauty of God's mercy, Come on, Jesus, is
that it doesn't work that way. Even when we stumble,
even when we stray, God's mercy covers us. His mercy
doesn't hold our past mistakes against us. It doesn't calculate
how many time we failed or how far we've gone
off course. Instead, he reaches into the mess and begins

to bring life and restoration. The mercy of God is
so powerful. It gives you a chance to rise again.
It gives you a chance to start fresh and to
believe that your future can still be filled with hope.
It turns setbacks into setups and mistakes into stepping stones.
But this mercy requires your boldness. You've got to believe it.

(01:31):
You've got to refuse to let guilt, condemnation, or even
shame define your story. I know, I get it. The
enemy will try to whisper you messed up too many times,
you blew it. God's and not listening to you. Who
do you think you are? Oh, but you got to
have an answer for him. You've got to know already

(01:53):
that you're a royal priesthood, that you're a chosen generation.
You've got to know that you're a child of the
Most High God, that you're redeemed, that you're forgiven, that
you are covered by God's mercy, no matter how far
You've wondered, no matter how many mistakes, big or small,
that you made. God's mercy is bigger. He not only forgives,

but he also restores. He can take what seems lost,
and then he can transform it into something greater than
you ever could imagine. So you step forward in faith,
trusting that His mercy is working behind the scenes in
your life, making something new, turning the impossible into possible,
and giving you a fresh start. Every day. Father, thank

(02:37):
you that you are so rich in mercy and that
your love never fails us. Even God, when we stumble
and go our own way, help us to rest in
your mercy and your love and believe that you can
bring beauty for our mistakes. Thank you for making us
alive in Christ and giving us a fresh start in
Jesus' name. Now that's your work for today. I want
