Today's Word 10-13-25: What Looks Dead is Only Sleeping

It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackey,
and it's time right now. Four Today's word, what looks
dead is only sleeping. What looks dead is only sleeping.
John eleven eleven says, our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep.

(00:20):
But now I will go and wake him up. You know,
sometimes in life it feels like certain areas have completely died.
Dreams that never came true, relationships that fell apart, opportunities
that seem to pass you by. You've prayed, you've waited,
and nothing seems to change. It looks final. But in

(00:42):
John eleven, when Lazarus died, Jesus saw something different. While
everyone else was mourning, he said, our friend Lazarus has
fallen asleep. Jesus wasn't in denial. He simply saw the
situation from heaven's perspective. Where people saw an ending, he
simply saw a pause where they saw a tomb. He

(01:04):
saw a temporary resting place. Because when Jesus steps into
a situation, come on, Jesus, even death has to yield
to his authority. Four days later, Lazarus came walking out
of the grave, a live restored and a testimony of
God's miraculous power. Well, the same is true for you.

(01:27):
That dream that's been buried under disappointment, it's not dead,
it's just asleep. That relationship you thought was over, God
can breathe new life into it. That door that's been
closed for years, he can reopen it in his perfect timing.
See what you call finish, God calls waiting. What you

(01:47):
say is too late, He says, it's right on the schedule.
So don't let what looks lifeless convince you that it's over.
God specializes in divine resurrections. He's not intimidated by how
long it's been or how impossible it looks. One word
from the Master can wake up what's been dormant in

(02:09):
your life for years. So do yourself a favor. Keep believing,
keep trusting you, stay in faith, because the same voice
that called Lazarus out of the tomb is still speaking today,
and he's saying to you, it's not over. It's not dead,

(02:31):
it's just asleep. Get ready because what you thought was
gone forever is about to rise again. Come on, Jesus Father,
thank you, Thank you that you are the God who
brings dead things back to life. Thank you that what
we thought was over was only sleeping and waiting for

(02:51):
your perfect timing. We can trust you, God, and we
can trust your timing. We trust you to awaken every dream,
We trust you to awaken every promise. We trust you
to awaken every opportunity that you've spoken over our lives. God,
we believe resurrection power is at work in us and
through us, in the mighty, wonderful, matchless name of Jesus. Yes, God,
