Her early what he praise party.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
today's word. From shame to sonship, From shame to sonship.
Two Samuel nine and eight says mamphibis Chef fell to
the ground before the king. Should the king show kindness
(00:22):
to a dead dog like me? He exclaimed, You know,
maphibis Chef's story is one of the most powerful illustrations
of God's grace and restoration in the Bible.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Y'all.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Mamphibis Chef was born the grandson of King Saul and
the son of Jonathan Royalty by birth.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
But after an accident as.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
A child left him crippled, he was taken away and
lived in a place called Lodobar, a baron forgotten land
for years, but Fibi Chef lived with shame, brokenness, and
feelings of unworthiness. He had gone from the palace to poverty,
from confidence to condemnation. Then one day somebody said, one
(01:17):
day everything changed. King David, remembering his covenant with Jonathan,
set form a fibis Chef. Imagine the fear, Imagine the
confusion he must have felt as he was brought before
the king. He fell to the ground and said, should
the King show kindness to a dead dog like me?
(01:39):
See that's what Shane does. Shame distorts how we see ourselves.
Shame convinces us that our past mistakes, our past failures,
or our brokenness makes us unworthy of love, unworthy of blessings,
and unworthy of restoring. But David wasn't interested in mamphibis
(02:04):
Chef's passed.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
He was focused on his position.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
He said, don't be afraid, you will always eat at
the King's table. See that's what God says to us today.
We may come before him feeling unworthy, weighed down by
guilt or regret, but he calls us his.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Sons, his daughters.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Through Jesus Christ, he has restored us to our rightful place.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Romans aid, and one reminds.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Us there is now no condemnation for those who are
in Christ.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Jesus.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Maybe, like mamphibis Chef, you've been living in a mental
or emotional lodo bar, a place of discouragement, a place
of shame, a place of defeat. You've allowed a dead
dog mentality to tell you you're not enough, that you
failed too much, or that God can never use you again.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
But here's the truth. You are still royalty.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
You've been adopted into the family of God, and your
seat at the King's table is still reserved. So lift
your head up. The King is calling your name. He's
not forgotten about you. He's not focused on where you've been,
but he's focused on where he's taken you. His grace
is greater than your guilt. His love is stronger than
(03:27):
your past. And you are not condemned. You are chosen,
You are cherished, and you are crowned with mercy.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Come on, Jesus, Father, thank.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
You for your amazing grace that restores that redeems. Thank
you for calling us out of shame into your sonship.
Help us God, to stop seeing ourselves through the lives
of our past, and to start seeing ourselves as you
see us, loved, forgiven and free. God, we declare that
there is no condemnation for us in Christ, Jesus. We
(03:57):
are seated at your table except made whole in Jesus' name.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Now that's your word for today.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I want you to take it apply to your everyday life,
and you continue to be encouraged to add inspired. It
is your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
