Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nobody does it like your early what he praise party.
I am Sherry Mackie and it's time, right now for
today's word. Walk away, blessed, walk away, blessed. Proverbs twenty
and three says avoiding a fight is a mark of honor.
Only fools insist on quarreling. You know there will always
(00:24):
be opportunities to be offended. People may say things that
are rude, dismissive, unfair, or simply untrue. Someone may overlook
your contribution, speak to you in a tone that you
don't necessarily appreciate, or they treat you in a way
that feels disrespectful. In those moments, everything in you may
(00:46):
want to defend yourself, clap back, or prove your point.
But God is calling us to a higher response, not reacting,
not arguing, not taking the bait. When we take the
bait of a fence, we step out of peace and
into unnecessary battles. Not every disagreement is meant for you
(01:11):
to fight. Not every insult needs an answer. Not every
situation requires you to explain yourself. Some battles are simply
distractions designed to pull your focus away from your purpose.
I want you to think about this the enemy doesn't
always show up wearing a red suit and a pitchfork.
(01:33):
Sometimes he shows up as irritation. Sometimes he shows up
as pettiness, as frustration, as arguments. He wants to drain
your energy so there's nothing left for the places God
has taking you. But when you choose peace over proving
your point, when you decide to respond with grace instead
(01:56):
of reaction, you honor God, and guess what, you keep
your joy. So I want you to ask yourself in
moments of tension, is this battle between me and my destiny?
If the answer is no, then it's not worth your time.
It's not worth fighting for God sees what's happening. He
(02:17):
sees the disrespect, he sees the misunderstanding, he sees the
unfair treatment, and He is the God of justice. When
you stay in peace, God steps in as your defender.
Come on, Jesus, what he can do for you is
far greater than anything you could argue when or force
(02:41):
on your own. Walking away is not weakness, it's actually wisdom.
It takes strength to stay silent, It takes maturity to
remain gracious. It takes spiritual confidence to say God, I
trust you with this. You fight this bad and I'm
keeping my peace. So today choose peace. Stay focused, keep
(03:07):
your eyes on where God is taking you. Your destiny
is way too important to be delayed by distraction. Oh Father, God,
thank you. Thank you for giving us the strength to
walk away from unnecessary conflict and away from distraction. Teach
us God to recognize when something is simply baked to
(03:29):
pull us out of our peace. God, help us to
respond with wisdom, with patience, and with grace. Oh God,
we choose to trust in You to fight our battles
and to be our vindicator. God. We choose peace, We
choose honor. We choose your way in Jesus' name. Mm.
That's your way. Ah, that's your word for today. Take
(03:52):
it applied to your everyday life and you continue to
be encouraged and inspired. It's your early morning praise party
with me and your girl sharing Mackie encouraging you to
walk away blast
