Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
in his time, right now for today's word. Strength for
the ones who stand, Strength for the ones who stand.
Psalm's twenty nine eleven says, the Lord gives strength to
his people. The Lord blesses his people with peace. Today
(00:24):
we honor the women and men who have served our nation,
those who have worn the uniform, stepped into danger, stood
watch while others slept, and sacrifice so that we could
live in freedom. Veterans date is more than a date
on the calendar. It's a reminder that freedom is never free.
(00:46):
It is carried on the backs of those who were
willing to say send me. Many veterans carry stories we
may never hear. Some carry visible scars. Other carry the
kind that sit quietly in the heart and the mind.
But you know what, God sees every sacrifice, He sees
(01:07):
every memory, he sees every weight, every silent battle fought
long after coming home. He's close to the broken hearted,
and he is a healer of both seen and unseen wounds.
There's a special strength in those who serve, a strength
that not only comes from training or discipline, but from
(01:30):
something deeper, a calling to protect others. That kind of
courage mirrors the heart of Jesus Christ, who said greater
love has no man than this to lay down one's
life for a friend. Well veterans in body, that kind
of love in action. If you are a veteran, hear
(01:52):
this today. God has not forgotten you. Your service is
honored in heaven. Your sacri ad vice matters, and God's
peace is still for you, not just for your past battles,
but for your today and your tomorrow. If you're a
(02:13):
family member of a veteran, God sees your sacrifices too.
The night you pray, the waiting, the worry, the adjustments,
the strength that to hold things together. You are a
part of the story of courage and honor that we
celebrate today. As a community, our calling is to support,
(02:34):
uplift and encourage and stand with those who have stood
for us. Let today be a day not only a
face but also of action, kindness, patience, listening, and love.
May the God who gives strength and also bring deep peace,
(02:54):
Peace that quiets the heart, peace that heals the memories,
Peace that steadies the soul. Father, God, Thank you today
for every veteran and their families. Thank you for their courage,
their sacrifice, and their willingness to serve God. We ask
that you pour out your peace upon them, the peace
that goes beyond human understanding. Heal every wound God seen
(03:18):
and unseen, Strengthen their hearts and their minds. Remind them
that they are valued, that they are honored, and they
are deeply loved. Bless them God in every area of
their lives. In Jesus' name. That's your word for today.
Take it apply to your everyday life, and you continue
to be encouraged and inspired
