Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nobody, and I do mean nobody does it like your
early morning phraise party. I am Sherry Mackie. And it's
time right now four Today's word. When God says it's
time to release. When God says it's time to release,

(00:20):
Ruth one fourteen and sixteen says. Then Orpah kissed her
mother in law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her. Ruth replied,
don't urge me to leave you or to turn back
from you. Where you go, I'll go, where you stay,
I'll stay. Your people will be my people, and your
God my god. You know, life brings seasons of deep connection,

(00:47):
you know, friendships, partnerships, relationships that feel like they're gonna
last forever, and then unexpectedly, a shift happens. What once
felt like permanent suddenly becomes temporary. The same people who
walk with us in laughter, who held us through tears,

(01:10):
may no longer be meant to continue with us into
the next chapter of our lives. This is exactly where Naomi, Ruth,
and Orpah found themselves. Y'all. All three women experienced heartbreak
and loss. They were bound together by grief, by love,

(01:30):
and by shared memories. But when Naomi decided to return
home and urge her daughters in law to go back
to their own families. Each woman responded differently. Na Orpah,
she kids Naomi goodbye, like, all right, then take care.
Now you gotta realize Naomi painted a really grim picture

(01:56):
of her future, and Orpah chose to go back to
her family. Y'all, that wasn't betrayal orpen didn't betrayed Naomi.
It wasn't failure on Orpu's part. It was simply closure.
Her part in that story had come to an end. Ah,
but Ruth, Ruth had clunged to Naomi, no matter the uncertainty,

(02:21):
no matter the cost, she chose to stay. She chose
covenant over comfort, faith over familiar arity. So here's the truth.
Some people are assigned to your past, others to your destiny,
and wisdom is knowing the difference. If someone wants to
leave your life, don't you dare force them to stay.

(02:44):
You can pour out love, you can pour out support, encouragement,
and even loyalty. But if God is closing the door,
no amount of effort will keep it open. Sometimes the
greatest act of faith is simply letting go. Not every
goodbye rejection. Sometimes goodbye is just a redirection by God. See,

(03:05):
he loves you too much to let the wrong people
stay attached to your future. He knows the voices, he
knows the relationships, he knows the support that you need
with where you're going. But just like he brought Ruth
into a divine connection that eventually positioned her in the
lineage of Jesus, God is leading you toward divine purpose too.

(03:26):
So today, take the pressure off. Release what God says
is finished. Trust him in the transition. Believe that if
he allowed somebody to walk away, oh, it's because he's
preparing somebody better to walk in. Your story doesn't end
with who's left. God is sending who's next. Come on, Jesus,

(03:47):
oh Father, thank you for being the God who gods
our relationships and our steps. Give us peace to release
what no longer serves our purpose and faith to trust
you when connectionshift. Help us to deserve those who are
as signed to our destiny, and to walk confidently into
every new season you plan for us in Jesus' name.
That's your word for today. Take it applied to your

(04:10):
everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
It's your early morning Praise Party. I am Sherry Nacky

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
