Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
along with my co host today James Fortune, and it's
time for today's word. And James, will you give us
today's word?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yes, absolutely, Sherry, thank you so much. I want to
talk about, of course this week where you know, we've
been talking a lot about being grateful and thankful with
being Thanksgiving week, and I want to talk about God's
will is gratitude. One of my favorite scriptures and we
say it a lot is First Us Alone in chapter five,
verse eighteen, and Paul says, give thanks in all things,
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
And I love it because gratitude, family, is not just

(00:32):
a suggestion, it's actually a strategy that when you learn
to be grateful in all things, not just when things
feel good, not just when the money's right, not just
when everything in the relationship is perfect, but in all things,
it changes your attitude and your perspective from complaining to
actually getting clarity because I can look at my situation
and say I can still be thankful even in this,
because That's God's will for my life. See, some people

(00:53):
are waiting on a new season, but God is waiting
on a new sound, not a sound of frustration, not
a sound of complaining, but a sound of gratefulness. I've
gotten to the point, Sherry, where I stopped complaining about
about what I stopped complaining about what I don't have
because I'm too busy thanking God for what I do have.
I stopped complaining about who left, and I started thanking
God for who's still here. And at the end of

(01:15):
the day, when you can have that mindset, it will
literally shift your life and shift your perspective. For one,
I'm no longer complaining. I'm now thanking God in all things.
As Paul says here in First Desalonian Chapter five. Now
that's your word for today.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
I want you to take it apply to your everyday life,
and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's your
early morning praise party. I am Shery Mackie.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Any, Sherbroy James. Fortune the word of today.
