Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nobody doesn't like your early what in praise party, I
(00:04):
am your girl, Sherry Mackie and his time right now
for today's word. When obedience unlocks the miracle. When obedience
unlocks the miracle. Second Kings five thirteen through fourteen says, Sir,
if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
You have done it?
Speaker 1 (00:28):
So you should certainly obey him when he says, simply
go and wash and be cured. So Naman went down
to the Jordan river and dipped himself seven times as
a man of God had instructed, and his skin became
as healthy as the skin of a young child, and
he was healed. You know, there are moments in our
(00:52):
walk with God when the instructions are so simple, yet
the obedience feels really hard. Name and a respect to
command with influence and power, was accustomed to operating from
a place of strength. Yet when he sought healing from
the prophety Elisha, the answer he received did not match
(01:13):
the level of prestige he carried. Elijah didn't come out
and greet him, he didn't lay hands on him, he
didn't speak an elaborate blessing over him. Instead, he sent
a messenger with a simple command, go wash in the
Jordans seven times, and you will be healed.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Name and became offended.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Surely God's instruction should have looked more significant, more ceremonial,
more worthy of a man of his statue. But the
miracle wasn't attached to name and status.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
It was attached to his obedience.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
What Naman almost missed, and what many of us missed today,
is that obedience is often the bridge between where we
are and where God wants to take us. Sometimes the
instructions God gives us don't make sense. Sometimes they actually
feel beneath us, beyond us, or just inconvenient. Sometimes they
(02:12):
offend our logic, disrupt our pride, or challenge our comfort.
But God uses simple steps of obedience to unlock supernatural outcomes.
Naman didn't dip in the river with great faith. He
didn't go rejoice, and he went reluctantly. He went frustrated
(02:32):
and doubtful. Yet he's still obeyed, and on that seventh
dip the miracle manifested.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
The water was in special.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
The jordan Din whole healing power. The breakthrough was in
the obedience. Perhaps God has given you a Jordan River moment.
Maybe he's nudging you to forgive again, maybe to give again,
or to pray again, to show up again, or to
try again. Though it feels repetitive and you haven't seen
(03:03):
change yet, you got to do what God has called
you to do. What if your breakthrough is attached to
that seventh time? What if your miracle is waiting beyond
the obedience you've been resisting. Obedience doesn't earn God's blessing,
it positions you for it. When you honor God in
the small things, he releases big things in your life.
(03:25):
When you trust him beyond your understanding, he shows himself faithful,
beyond your expectation.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
So keep dipping, keep obeing.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
You may be one step away from seeing God do
what only he can do.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Father, thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
That you are the true, in living God, and that
you reward those.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Who honor and obey you.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Thank you that you notice our obedience and it doesn't
earn your blessing, but it does make room for your
favor and a flow. Help us to trust your instructions
even when they don't make sense. God, we believe that
as we continue to do what is right, you'll meet
us in the place of obedience with breakthrough and blessings
in Jesus' name. That's your word for today, Take it
(04:10):
applied to your everyday life, and continue to be inspired.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie.
