Today's Word 12-09-25: Peace in the Midst of Pressure

It is time for today's word peace. In the mist
of pressure, Psalms fifty five two through five in the
New Living Translation, says, I am overwhelmed by my troubles.
My enemies shout at me, making loud and wicked threats.
My heart pounds in my chest. Fear and trembling overwhelmed me, and.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I can't stop shaking.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Anxiety is a word many people whisper about, but scripture
shows us that it has touched even the strongest, most
faith filled believers, including King David.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
David was a giant slayer.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
David was a mighty warrior and a man after God's
own heart. Yet in this passage he is brutally honest.
He was shaking, he was overwhelmed, and he was battling
fear on the inside.

Well.

This reminds us that dealing with anxiety is not a
sign of weakness. It's not a sign of failure or
lack of faith. It simply means that you're human. It
means you're under attack. The enemy often targets those who
carry purpose. Anxiety comes to cloud your vision and convince

you that something is permanently wrong with you or with
your future. It whispers that you will always feel this way, but.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Those are lies of the enemy.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
David's word teaches us something powerful.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Even people who walk.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Closely with God have moments when their emotions.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Feel out of control.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
But those moments don't define you, and they don't dictate
your destiny. God is not intimidated by your anxious thoughts.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
He isn't disappointed in you. He meets you right where.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
You are, in the middle of the shaking, and he
reminds you that His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
You may feel overwhelmed today by responsibility, by uncertainty, by things.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
You can't fix or change.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
You may feel like fear is taking over your mind
or gripping your heart. But anxiety is not your permanent address.
It's going to pass. God may deliver you suddenly, or
he may bring healing little by little, strengthening you day
by day. Either way, he's working behind the scenes.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
So you keep speaking life.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
You keep declaring his promises, even when your emotions don't agree.
Say every single day, I'm getting stronger, my mind is settled,
my heart is steady. God is restoring my peace. With
every declaration, you push back the darkness, and you welcome
the calming presence of God into your situation. You are
not losing this battle, You are walking through it with

the one who has already won the battle. Come own,
Jesus Father, Thank you that your strength is made perfect
in our weakness. Your strength and difficult time it's a
source of our security. God. We refuse to be overwhelmed
by problems because you will bring us through to victory.

We're resting in the Almighty God, who is greater than
