Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nobodyn do me. Nobody does it like your early morning
(00:03):
praise party. I am Sherry Mackie at his time, right now.
Four Today's word when Grace finds you. Genesis forty sevent
eleven through twelve of the New Living Translation says so
Joseph assigned the best land of Egypt to his fathers
and his brothers, and he settled them there, just as
(00:27):
Pharaoh had commanded. And Joseph provided food for his father
and his brothers, and amounts appropriate to the number of
their dependents, including the smallest children. You know, life has
a way of taking us through seasons that feel confusing,
that feel unfair, and even painful. Joseph knew this well.
(00:50):
As a young man, he carried a God given dream,
but instead of seeing it fulfilled quickly, Oh, he was
betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slaves, falsely accused,
and even forgotten in prison for years. Nothing about his
circumstances suggested that God was still working behind the scenes.
(01:11):
Yet every setback was quietly positioning him for something greater.
When famine struck the land, Joseph was no longer the
forgotten prisoner. Oh. He was second in command over all
of Egypt. God had elevated him to a place of
influence and authority at just the right time. And then, unexpectedly,
(01:34):
Joseph came face to face with the very people who
had caused his deepest wounds. His brother stood before him
in need, unaware of who he truly was. They were
standing before him. Now Joseph had a choice. He could
let bitterness have the final word, or he could allow
God's grace to flow through him. Joseph chose grace instead
(01:59):
of revenge. He offered provision instead of punishment. He extended favor.
He gave his family the best land, abundant food, and
security during a devastating famine. What they intended for harm,
God had transformed into a blessing, not only for Joseph,
(02:20):
but for generations to come. See this is a powerful
reminder for you and me. God knows how to place
you in the right position at the right time. He
can orchestrate connections, He can open doors, He can move
hearts in ways you could never plan on your own.
There will be moments when people show you kindness you
(02:41):
didn't expect, opportunities open that you didn't earn, and favor
finds you even after long seasons of waiting, y'all, that's
not coincidence. That's the goodness of God at work. You
may not see it now, but God is arranging things
behind this. He's preparing surprises of grace, of restoration and provision.
(03:06):
So I want you to stay faithful, keep your heart soft.
Trust that the same God who brought Joseph from the
prison to the palace is still in the business of
amazing his people with his goodness. Oh God, thank you.
Thank you for your overwhelming goodness and mercy in our lives.
(03:27):
Thank You for the divine connections, the open doors, the
unexpected favor you place along our path. Help us to
trust you even when we don't understand the journey. God,
we believe that you are working things together for our good.
