(00:24):
your family. Right, is that a good sell? It's all
free caller number nine, Hello, anyone, I think you might
have free people out with the whole, Like we're family fans.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
No, we are family. I mean sometimes, I mean sometimes,
I mean this is like I don't know you that well.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
I mean we argue. I mean, that's just what we do.
We argue, but we're still friends. I know what the
promos says, Yeah, I know, I know. So you know
it's Dallas Cowboy football talk, right, I know the Houston
Texas play today. Of course we'll get to their picks
here in a little bit, probably about team minus eight
minutes or so. But Dallas Cowboys defense could look entirely
different as they retake the field tomorrow against the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
This is four players debuting.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, it is due to a lot of injuries and
everything else like that. Now, through the midway point of
the twenty twenty five NFL season, the Cowboys defense is
ranked at the bottom of the league in nearly every category.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
They're currently ranked.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Dead lasting yards per game at three hundred and ninety
seven point four yep and points per game at thirty
point eight yep, twenty eighth in the league in rushing
yards per game one hundred and forty three.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
No, we did.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
We went up a little bit and twenty ninth in
the league in passing yards per game with oh, you know,
two hundred and fifty four point four yards out feels low.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Well.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Gito Smith is the quarterback for the Raiders tomorrow, and
usually what I'm seeing so far this season is we've
made every quarterback look like a Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Made Rice Young look like a pro bowler.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
But Jerry Jones says, you know, don't panic it. You
know we've got all this, which I finally I went
back to that trade last week. We didn't get a
chance to discuss this, Shane, the Michael Parsons trade, so
I Hawk about that. Did we talk about like the
the the like if you trade him to the Eagles?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Oh, the contingency plan.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah yeah, so he said, you know what they're talking
about with the contingency.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
So we trade. So Jerry trades Micah to Green Bay.
We all know that.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
But part of the deal was, hey, if you end
up trading Micah to like Philly or New York or
Washington or taking your first round pick yep. So Green
Bay is like, oh, okay, Jerry, okay, if you take
Clark and do the same thing and put him in
Minnesota or Chicago, yeah, we're gonna take your first round pick.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I think that part of it. No, it was, yeah,
there's a fail safe for Kenney Clark. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Green Bay was like, okay, we'll do this trade. Like
that's how that's how this trade was. It was dealt like, Okay,
you can't trade him anywhere else, Well you can, but
you can't trade him in our division because don't want
to see him, right because you know, Clark would be
pissed if he had to go with like face Green
Bay all the time, and same for you know Parsons.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
But you know that that's always fun to me. But
the Dallas Cowboys have just been a joke this year.
I don't know explain. They call it the poison pill.
I haven't seen anything about Kenny Clark. No, look it up.
I'm telling you, I am looking at it. Internet is amazing.
I think the see.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
The only poison pill I saw was a contendency that
if you trade Micah to the East, he would generate
a first round pick.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Kenny Clark is not generating a first round pick.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
And if you switch the k Clark ain't producing like
the Dallas Cowboys defense ain't producing. You know, here's my fear, right,
And I had this fear last Monday Night or Monday
Night Football when we played the Cardinals. In the back
of my head, I'm sitting there going, dude, Arizona's going
to have a heyday. Yeah, that's just the feeling I
(03:35):
have as a Cowboy fan, you know. And I know
that this game is in Vegas, and you know the
Raiders are terrible because they are they traded with the
number one receiver. But if I was Monday Night football,
I would have moved this game. I would have moved
this to a noon kickoff in Vegas. Yeah, I would
have too. You know, but again it's it's the Cowboys,
and everybody likes to see themself destruct. You know, Dak
(03:57):
Prescott could go for about nine hundred yards tomorrow and
still be his fault because he's the one to blame.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Guys, if Dak went for nine hundred yards, no one's
blaming Dak. Hey, wow, that that feels a little bit
of a stretch. I got you, because like Dak does
take a lot more unfair criticism, more than any other
quarterback in the NFL, besides maybe Lamar Jackson just because
he also gets criticized a lot.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
But the Cowboys, I think everyone.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
I think since honestly, since that Packers playoff game, Cowboys
fans have soured more on Jerry than ever before, to
where now like whenever they lose and maybe I'm wrong,
it feels almost numb, and when they win, it feels like,
oh that was nice. They don't really have that same
sort of passion they wants to because over the last
ten to fifteen years, EASi, you're a Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Fan, you you know this.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Unfortunately, it feels it feels like every year since then,
more and more Cowboys fans are realizing more and more
of Jerry's stick, so to speak, like you know, when
he's telling the truth and when he's lying it because
he has talls like he's that guy at the poker
table who like who scratches his ear every time he
has a good hand, yeah, and every time he hit,
every time he's a bad he watched his eyebrow, those
little taills.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
So I want to play a little bit of a
game with you guys, because I do sometimes prep for
this show. I've had plenty of times in the past
couple of days to prep for this show. I want
to put some scenarios out there, and I want you
to say you're either gonna say yes I will or no,
I don't think so, And why right? I want yes?
And why is on both of these now here we go?
(05:19):
This is just a bold prediction. Javonte Williams gets in
the end zone twice tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Heza going to me first.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I guess, oh yeah, I'm gonna say yes.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Why I will get back to you on that.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Nice I'll text you later. I'm gonna say I'm gonna
say no, no.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
And the reason why is because the running game is
something to obviously be able to keep established last week
or sorry against the Carlos and the Broncos. I think
what the Cowboys want to do offensively is reinvigorate the
passing game, which is kind of lost against the Broncos
and lost a little bit against the Cardinals. I think
they want to feed and feed George Pickens and feed
Jake Ferguson. I think this is gonna be a game
(06:04):
where they definitely will run the ball well.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah, because the Raiders suck well.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
But the thing is, but the front seven has actually
been I would say, pretty decent this year. I think
they want to test a second there, which statistically is
actually one of the worst.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I think this would be the time that you would
take advantage of that, right.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
But see the reason why I want to throw that
out there is because the Raiders, like I said, they
have given up twelve rushing touchdowns on the ground.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yeah, and I mean I think it's.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
The time to run now? Is the time to run now?
Because sometimes Dak can't throw three hundred yards every game,
but I.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Would I would still say I think they I think
Javonte gets two touchdowns, one is gonna be a receiving touchdown.
I don't think they're gonna like unless it's like a
goal line thing, if that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
I think Dak's gonna have a good game.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, how about this one, Dumarvian Overshown. I think he's
gonna get one interception and two TFLs in return.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
He said, definitely know how she feels about that, Lisa,
I'm gonna say no, Okay, our secondary has not been
the greatest.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
I'm gonna say that. Put that out.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
I mean, you're not wrong.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
I just think that's not gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
I think I also don't the Marvin Overshown is very
much necessary for this linebacker corps, and she's right. The
secondary has also, like not he allowed a lot to
where like you would probably target the secondary more than
the linebackers anyway. And Marvein overshone, I don't know if
they're gonna play him enough snaps his first game back
since the injury, to where he'll make those kinds of plays.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
I could see a tackle for loss.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
I can't really see him being on the field enough
for two and and plus an interception, so I would
say no to that as well.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I'm gonna say yes, I'm just gonna believe in the defense.
To my I think I think when your defense is
down and out.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
You play the Raiders. That's just my opinion. When your
offense is down and out, you play the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Look, let's be clear, this is in Vegas, but there's
gonna be a lot of Cowboys fans in the stands. Hey,
Vegas is one of those traps for the Vegas Raiders
every time. Because if you've got the teams that travel,
the fan base that travels, they've.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Been in Vegas all weekend, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
So I think this is where your defense could kind of,
you know, maybe wake up a little bit. I'm not
saying that they're gonna wake up and go to the
Super Bowl. Uh oh, we just saw a fumble on
the Europe game.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yes, did It's awful?
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Tight's the last one. Quentin Williams records two sacks in
his debut for the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
I'll say yes, yes, because going out there, your debut,
you're gonna play as hard as you can.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Yeah, You're gonna prove yourself. Because he just came from
the Jets. I'm gonna say yes two for three reasons. Okay.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Number one, Aaron Whitecott, he is back with his defensive
line coach that he had with the Jets, who played
him as a nose tackle. Where he was this last
year with the Jets, and you can ask any Jets
fan they know this. They put him as a three tech.
And for those who know, three techs are the guys
lined up in between the guards and the tackles whose
job but a lot of times it is to make
the play. The no sackle of the guys will take
up space. Quinn william is a space taker who also
(09:05):
makes plays. He likes to play over the center. He
likes to be that guy. That's number reason number one.
Number two, the Eraiders are without jack Jackson powers, their
center of powers. Jackson he's out for the year, so
they're already down to the backup into your offensive line.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I think that's gonna be a big reason.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
And also to the Cowboys front seven is actually pretty
solid this year when it comes to rushing the passer.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
In the last couple of games.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
I think that continues, and I think Cornevan is gonna
get enough of the snaps toward it's gonna be a factor.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I mean, it'll be an interesting little, you know, end
to Week eleven. But now we're gonna go over our
picks because it's week eleven of the NFL. Yes, sir,
that music that sound means your barbecue better be ready,
(09:55):
You're brisket better be done, and your chickens that are
laying on the stove now better be cooks. Because it's
time for some football picks. A fanatics way an intro.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Good luck? I know right, I'm getting better.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Yeah, well, you know we can go over the Thursday
night game, but nobody cared, and the international game, well
nobody cares. So let's start off with our new games.
You've got the Cara line of Panthers against the thirty
murd's on the south.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
The Falcons. Who do you got?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Hesa, I'm gonna Falcons here. I like them being at home.
I know their record isn't the greatest, but let's see
the Panthers as well.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I like it. I like it, Shane, who you got?
I got the Panthers.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I think what they become as a team that you
can't really trust, but I think as a team.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Again, this is the same.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Panthers team that shut out this Falcons team thirty to
nothing at home. Even tho any of the Falcons have
figured out something with their pass rush.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
The Panthers have found.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Themselves maybe the most dangerous running game in the league
this season.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Give me the Panthers on the road.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Okay, all right, I like the Panthers. I give me
the Panthers in this one. On the other side, I
did this one in Buffalo. It's cold up there as
we are watching Buffalo fans go through tables. You've got
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who seem to be struggling lately, against.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
The Buffalo Bills. Both teams six and three here.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
This could potentially be a Super Bowl matchup.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Me, So who do you have?
Speaker 5 (11:16):
I got the Bills. I'm a big fan of Josh Allen.
What can I say?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
All Right, Oh my god, A right of Josh all
They love that little kutie pie.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah yeah, yeah, he's.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
A he's a country boy from California. Shit, I know,
I like the Bills too. I the thing with the
thing with the Buccaneers, I feel like they might have
like topped out too early. And I think then, I
think the Bills, even though they've had a couple of
bad losses recently, I things you don't bet against them
at home, like Lisa said, And also, Josh Allen has
found something. I feel like with this running game with
(11:45):
James Cook, and he's able to split it out with
guys like Kincaid at tight end.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I think the Bills want a close one at home.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
I'm gonna I'm gonna do it based on weather. No,
we're good. I'm gonna do it based on weather. It's cold.
Give me Buffalo. I'm sorry, Like, I.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Don't think Tampa can play in this weather.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
I think they're so used to being trained in the South,
in some Florida cold. Yes, I think the only team
that's really good at it, which is weird Miami.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Uh that sucks at Kansas City. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
After that, you've got the Chargers and the Jags.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
This is a trap game. This is a trap game
at so who do you got in this one?
Speaker 5 (12:22):
The Chargers?
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Okay, so much for that trap.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
I mean justin Herbert, he's a sixty senturd completion rate.
I think I think he's gonna pull something out here.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
I guess the Jackars because Jacksonville has a terrible secondary.
I don't feel Solis not, I don't feel soliation, not
lcl Sprain, Travis Hunter, the two a player done for
the year.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
They already had a depleted secondary. He stays right.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Jess Nurbert has one of the highest completion percentages in
the NFL against one of the worst secondaries. Isn't a
trap game. The Chargers are gonna win.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yep, our buddy Cam of the of the fanatics, our
buddy here he.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Is a going Jags.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
I like that pick, but I can't do it, and
he'sa You haven't had me crazy yet on announcing stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
But give me.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
To lose this one, as the Chargers will go into
Jacksonville just not really stun him, just win. After that,
You've got a good NFC North showdown.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
You've got.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Bears against the Minnesota Vikings and the Ices and everything.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
It's starting to freeze over.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
In Minnesota, but thank god we got seventy.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Two degrees inside the arena. ASA, who do you have?
Speaker 5 (13:30):
I think give me the Vikings here.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Wow, I.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
Think the Vikings are gonna take it here.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
You say, I like that pick too, because the Vikings offense,
To her credit, they play better under JJ mccarth that
he gives them a better dimension with his legs.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
But not so fast.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
My friends are course the Bears with Ben Johnson and
Caleb Williams at quarterback have reinfigurated this offense.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
The defense is still a question.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
But I think I think Chicago somehow for the first time,
and I don't know how long goes into Minnesota and
wins this game.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Here's the thing, it's a divisional game. It matters.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Caleb Williams has yet to prove himself as a Bear
where it matters.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
I like the Vikings as well. Today's second year. I
like them.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Hey, I don't care, don't leave Oklahoma ever, and I
won't ever hate you. How about that? Give me Minnesota
this after this one, a game that doesn't really matter.
But you know what, the Packers have surprised us this
year in games that shouldn't have mattered.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
You know, you know what was it?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
The Falcons, Carolina Browns.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Well, be careful, Green Bay, New York Giants.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Of course, the New York Giants getting rid of their
head coach this week because we all know that he
was a problem. And today Jameis Winston is coming in
for the Giants.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
And you've always known this about mister Winston. Anytime he
makes a debut for a team, he wins. So be
ca careful. Who do you have in this one?
Speaker 5 (15:01):
He's the Packers.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Okay, you're the worst car car salesman.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
I know.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
That's why I don't something tell you that Jamis Wintson
like he's a Betley, but he's really a Pinto.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Of course, I'm going back on Packers too. Gosh, all right,
moving on after that, you've got you've got the rematch
of the aa ARP. You've got the Bengals and Steelers.
But I don't like Flackos playing anymore?
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Is he?
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Was he Ben Burrow coming back? He's back in this game.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Burrow entered his one one day window now and probably
disorder December.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
So in a game that's a divisional another divisional here
in Steelers Bengals eats a Jodio.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
I have the Steelers here, Yeah you would.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
Yeah, it's a.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Revenge game for him. It's a revenge game. I know
it's a revenge game.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
But the thing is is, like the Steelers, you can't
trust them consistently.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
There's don't like Aaron Rodgers. It's not even well I
mean well, I mean, first of all, you look at
Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
I know I do, thank you. That might not be
why I like it, but like as far as him
as a quarterback. I get him credit for when he
plays well. The problem is like he doesn't always consistently
do that. Last week, I guess the charters. They got
beat up on both sides of the ball. I don't
think the Bengals have near enough defense for that, and
I don't think enough offense either.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
I think the Steelers from this game too.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
The Steelers win this one in a game that's coming
up at the top of the hour here right here
on ticket seven sixty. The Houston Texans in Nashville. Will
they be singing the blues today? Or will they be
praising the country music world?
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Who do you have?
Speaker 5 (16:25):
The Texans?
Speaker 2 (16:26):
There? You go see Homer. I like it.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
I might be walking in Memphis, but wow, but I'm
riding with h Town.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
I like the way this team has come along.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
I actually I haven't given enough credit for Davis Mills
as a solid backup, at least for this offense. The
playmakers are playing well, by the way, Nick Chubb they
just announced he's back for this game, yep. And surprisingly
the number one defense, which I didn't realize. The Texans
have the number one scoring and overall defense in the NFL.
They're still alive for at least a wildcard spot. So
(16:56):
I think they need this is not a game then
you do win. I think it's a game they will win.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
You tell me, I'm car salesman. There's no reason to
even try to sell that that Houston's gonna win. Houston
wins it.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
I think.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
I think Tennessee holds your brakes. You're about to be
really good in the next couple of seasons. After that,
some of the afternoon games, you've got the Niners and
the Cardinals, and so who do you have.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
As a Cowboys fans? Really hurts?
Speaker 6 (17:17):
It?
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Does?
Speaker 5 (17:18):
I'm gonna have to say the forty nine ers.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Here, wow, Shane. Yeah, I don't if you know this not,
but Brock Perdy finally back.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
It hasn't really mattered how Shanahan just works no matter
what quarterback he has.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
It's it's something to be seen. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
And the Cardinals last week's some of their first loss
that was beyond a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
The Cardinals, I think are on their way on a
serious downward slope.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Here's my problem. The past two weeks, I have cheered
for the forty nine ers to win. I'm not doing
it this week. Give me the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
That's it's that simple. Because the last two weeks, yeah,
I'm the problem. So that'll probably be what happens after that.
You've got the surprise surprise Seahawks at seven and two
and the Rams who are at seven and two. This
is a game to watch because these two are fighting
for a number one seed in that NFC and so
it's a crucial game in LA, who do you have you?
Speaker 4 (18:06):
So this is gonna be a really good game to watch,
evenly matched here, I feel like i want to go
with the Chargers here though, I'm sorry the Rams.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
The Chargers ain't playing this game. It's both of them.
It's either La La Shane, Who do you have you?
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Would take the Rams like the Rams have all the
star power. But the Seahawks might be the best team
of the NFC. Sam Donald needs to be talking on
more as an MVP. Can A Jackson Smith and Jig
But might be the best receiver in football at least
this year. And these Seahawks have the best young upcoming defense.
I think the Seahawks win. I don't think they lose
the rest of the regular season.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Wow two bowld. They are the most complete team. It's
going to be the Rams today.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
After that, you've got the Baltimore Ravens who are trying
to come out of their nest and try to make
a comeback in this season, and they're facing the always
dangerous Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Is this is a rivalry game. You took my team,
I took your team. Who do you have, Hesa?
Speaker 5 (19:01):
I'm gonna go Baltimore here, Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
I like it. Yeah, they haven't been dangerous as they
shift Baker out. Wow. Yeah, they going Baltimore too. Absolutely,
I'm going.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Baltimore and Baltimore. Now, here's a game that I like.
Three twenty five kickoff in Denver, Kansas City Chiefs Denver Broncos.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Here's the test for you, Sean.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Payton, are you ready to be the AFC West High Horse?
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Are you ready to take down the Chiefs?
Speaker 1 (19:26):
They're coming in, They're coming in hot, and you guys
are riding high no pun intended in the Mile High City?
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Who do you have? Liza?
Speaker 5 (19:36):
I like the Broncos here?
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Really do I like it too? That's bold? I like it.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
It's hard to because the Broncos a mile high. Because
the defense is playing really well and as as inconsistent
as bone, Nicks has looked that he's he's pretty reliable,
especially in games that matter to your Caleb Waves point,
m hm. But the Chiefs right now are starting to
play what you would call Chiefs ball. The offense is
getting healthier, the offensive line is getting better with Josh Simmons.
The defense is starting to play a lot better. I'm
talking to you, Chris Jones, who I saw a lag
(20:02):
on that one play against I think it was the Eagles. Yeah,
I think the Chiefs have an upset here.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
You know, here's my thing.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Sean Payton's a coach that can take any quarterback. He's
taken the quarterback bow Knicks, who has the shortest name
in NFL history, five letters, and he's made him into
a stud. He made Drew Brees into a stud. He's
a quarterback coach. He knows his quarterback. You're at home
in Denver, and of course the Chiefs can look at
it one or two ways. They we'll see him in
(20:30):
the playoffs. Here's what's the story that's gonna be. Denver's
going to win. Taylor Swift is going to break up
with Kelsey, and she's gonna announce her relationship with bow Knicks,
and we're gonna have a song about it.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Give me the Broncos in this one. That's almost cougar territory,
isn't she like fifteen years old? Jally matter?
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Nowadays people just date people man like, come on, yeah,
it's Sunday night football.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Now here's some teams.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
You've got the Philadelphia Eagles, which are reportingly rumors there
that you know, the Eagles themselves are getting frustrated with
Hurts as the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
So there's some rumors here.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
It's cooking in Philly taking on the Detroit Lions, and
the Lions on these big time matchups seem to be,
you know, tame, seem to be tied up. They can't
get over this hump. You got the Eagles, who are
seven and two east of Who do you have?
Speaker 5 (21:18):
I'm gonna have to say the Lions here. I kind
of like the Lions.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
You're after their win against the Commanders last week. I
feel like they're just gonna breeze through the NFC.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Oh, she says, she's gonna they're gonna sweep the NFC.
I mean, I mean there's a good chance for that.
The Lions offensive they looked a lot better recently. The
defense pre solid. The issue here is like it's one
of those things you take Jared Goff out of the
dome and into the elements.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
How's he gonna look Ye?
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Luckily enough, this game is gonna be like a fifty
five degree weather, which is more than manageable. I feel
like and the and the Philly in similar fashion fashion
to Denver, is that they only have two losses, but
there's very much a lot, a lot of issues with
the offense.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah, I think Detroit wins a close one. I like that.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Here's my thing, Ricky Bobby, friend of the show. I
agree with him because well he's a Commander fan and
he's about to be very upset.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
But I I need the Eagles lose. I'm a Cowboy fan.
I need him lose.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
So go Lines and your Monday night football. You've got
the Dallas Cowboys that gets the ratus Monday night Vegas
on the strip, the torch lit in the stadium.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Who do you got?
Speaker 5 (22:23):
I have to say, Cowboys. I feel like I'm obligated.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
They're not obligating. I'll send you a twenty dollars pay
check later.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
By the way, the Dolphins just got stopped at fourth
and one on the on the goal line, So we're
gonna have over.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Rickey. Bobby might might not be as I said, you thought.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Wow, the Raider shipped out Jacoby Myers and I'm one receiver.
So now they're down to guys like Jack Besh and
Trey Tucker. Their offense runs a lot through their tight end,
Bronck Bowers. The running game to his side is like
two yards more per carry as posted the other side
with Ashton Jenson, who has yet to crack seventy five
yards except for.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
I think once this year.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
And the Cowboys defense, to their credit, we talked about it, David,
they've done better against the run than then expected that right, Yeah,
and now they've had guys like Kewena Williams as your
nosacklay back, guys like Logan Wilson that a linebacker. We're
gonna see the by way, the debut of Shaban Rabel
at the cornerback.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Uh huh.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
I think the Cowboys win this game not just because
they have better personnel, but honestly, they're playing for Marshawn
and I think just like on the field, it'll show
and it'll be probably the most emotional they win.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
They've had in years.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah, you know, bottom line, they need to win.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Otherwise it's a joke.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Fire everybody, fire, Jerry fire, you win the retirement. Pete Carroll,
this is a late game for him and in his
nap time. He's seventy four years old. But the Raiders
just look like trash.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Now.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
The problem is is that Gino could probably light up
the secondary.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
We'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
But at the end of the day, I think the
Dallas Cowboys take this one on Monday night and that
way everybody on Tuesday morning when you're talking, we're going
back to Super Bowl. So give me the Cowboys and
that one. That's week eleven of the NFL and we
got a little bit of time left too, and some
keys to victory for the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Tonight is or tomorrow night is sin pressure.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
And what I mean by that is sin pressure because
the Raiders have given up the eighth most sacks this season, yes,
with twenty seven. So after the Cowboys earned over five
sacks against Arizona, remember that five sacks they.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Showed him that defensive line. I told you that front seven.
We are playing a lot better of late. I feel
like our best edges right now. And I know you agree.
Clowney has been a good signing. And Donovan Azaraku, their
rookie second round pick from Boston College, he's been there,
maybe the most consistent pass rusher.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Yep. Those are the guys that really they can't leave
the field that much. Yep. We need them on there. Yeah.
So I mean, sind the pressure.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
And then when you're sending the pressure, you're also doing
Number two in my mind, is that you're forcing Gino's hand. Okay,
you're making him make decisions that he's normally making.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Now, we don't make quarterbacks force a hand. And the
problem is.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Is that you need to do this against Geno because
he's very forcing. He's always been like this in college.
He's always been like this in the NFL. I'll take chances,
yeah he does, but those chances need to turn for
the Cowboys. That those need to turn into the cowboy
chances of getting into the game.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Don't shoot yourself in the foot early.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
You know.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
The problem is is that you know, if the Raiders
get the ball first and you let him go score
a touchdown, here we go, right, and we're gonna go
back to that. The number third, the number three thing here.
Stick to your script. Okay, stick to your script. Don't
change anything. Don't change anything. The only thing that possibly
needs to change, And you already did this with trades,
You've already done this with moves is your defense. We're
gonna see what this defense looks like. Stick to the script,
(25:33):
don't be stupid, don't make trick plays. Don't just because
you're in Vegas. What happens in Vegas will be told
to us. Yeah you're staying. Okay, it's not going to
stay in Vegas. It's gonna be all over the headlines
if you screw this one up in Vegas.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Good news, by the way, for the secondary, it looks
like they're starters. Malie Hooker and Donovan Wilson are both
on track to play on Monday Night. So let's help
the secondary out, especially because it sounds like Shabarna Bell's
gonna get a decent amount of snaps. Kaitlin Carson's probably
gonna be the other starter across from drom Bland, who
I hope to eventually go back into the corner the devil,
by the way in this game, and I'll get your
take on I'll get your take on this next. I
(26:04):
think how they rotate their defensive line with guys like Williams,
the guys like Clark, guys like Osa Solomon or Solomon
Thomas actually out for this game, and then their edge rushers.
I think that's gonna put a lot of pressure on
what might be the worst offensive line in football because
they're down I think three starters on there.
Speaker 6 (26:20):
I don't mean, but what's the key?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
What's the key in this one?
Speaker 5 (26:28):
The key here is keeping their defense in the game.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Yep, there you go. Absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
And the Cowboys offense, by the way, the reason why
the script is there is its slipped the past two
weeks against Denver, against Arizona. It wasn't this offense that
you know is magical or is anything else like that.
So you want to see them get back to the
script and you just want to win.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
I mean, the Raiders are a trash team.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
I'm not gonna lie, and I'm not saying that because
a lot of you and San Antonio are Raiders. Like
even if you're a Raiders fan, you're disappointed in your team,
Like the offseason, what you were supposed to get Pete.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Carroll coming from you know, retirement, your team trash.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yeah, and I'm not sitting here talking trash because well,
the Dallas Cowboys are trash. I mean, you got to
trash teams on Monday, and unfortunately we have.
Speaker 7 (27:15):
To watch it and somebody's because you know, this one's
getting very interesting in the in uh well, oh god,
he almost got killed picked No, I think he got killed.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Seriously, that was a that was a hit.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
But you know, we'll see what happens, you know, and
Cam says the key is to binge Dak.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Cam's a Cowboy fan by the way. Okay, well I
love that about quarterback power.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Again, this your fans are your fans, right, your fans
say it's Dak's fault.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
This isn't Dak's fault. Now, I will, I will give
credit where credit is due. Dak these past.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Two games hasn't been great and maybe he should be
called out because is again the first couple games, it's like, Okay,
it's not Dak's fault. And maybe Dak got comfortable.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
I don't know. But the things he does well though, Yeah, hey.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Dak on base of the fanatics, step up your game
