Speaker 1 (00:06):
Eagles have the records that they have. I believe it's
what eight and two, Yes, eight and two.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Cowboys are four five and one, and you know it's
a home game, and obviously we could talk about the
Raiders win and that that was a statement game for
the Cowboys, because again, Cowboy haters are gonna say, well,
if they barely won, we would have been all over them.
I like when the Cowboys put those fans away, you know,

(00:32):
the ones that talk all this mess and the ones that.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
You know, it's just okay, we get it. You don't
like the Cowboys, so I hate them too.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I guess there's a love pay relationship with the Cowboys absolutely,
which is okay because I feel like doing that sort
of thing also holds the front office accountable, which makes
them do more moves.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
But like you said, and I think it was.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Very interesting that you said the stats used to said
about Dak the man gets up for the Eagles. Man,
you know it's put up for shut up, and you
know it's it's it's a game that you have to
have at home, you know, division games or division games.
You know, you win one at home, me gotta win
one on the road.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Because you also got Kansas City four days later.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, you've got Kansas City coming into town, and either
they're gonna be surprised or not. Either they're gonna be
five and six or six and five trying to make
themselves relevant.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
And it's a short turnaround, right, I mean, I.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Mean the Cowboys are used to that.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
They're used to it.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I don't know if the defense, I don't know what
the defense gonna bring it. Yeah, I know what you're
telling me that the Eagles have this offensive line, which
is great, then the Cowboys defense should take advantage of that.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
And we don't know if they're gonna do that or not.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Because what the Eagles do, and you've seen this the Eagles,
the way they win is they play with elite defense.
They have elite defense. I'm not trying to discrede that
at all, but they play clock management on offense. They
lead the league in minutes per game because they don't
just play for third down conversion. They their first and
second down plays are to set up third and shorts
and eventually a fourth and short because you know what
they're gonna do and they're obviously their guards are gonna

(02:07):
move early, but that's what they're gonna do. They're gonna
set that up because right now their offense has not
just in terms of like on first and second down plays,
they're among the worsts in terms of yards per play,
in terms of efficiency for play.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
It's one.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
They give those third and shorts, those fourth and shorts.
They keep the drives moving and it keeps the other
offense off the field. That's how they win those games.
But the Cowboys, I want to give credit where credits
due because Cowboys teams in the past they made the
trade for Kyrie elm that was a mistake. They made
the draft for Mazzie Smith. That was a mistake. And
Cowboys teams of the past, they would say, hey, we
made this trade, made the selection. We're gonna ride then
till the wheels fall off because we made the decision.

(02:40):
Were gonna be hard, We're gonna be hard nosed about it.
They released Kyri Elam yesterday, they traded Mazzi Smith and
included in the Quinn Williams trade. They got back Malie Hooker,
the safety, very underrated piece of this defense. They got
back to Marvin Overstown. They added in Logan Wilson, They
added Quinn Williams and they added, uh shavn ravel. This
defense not just by addition, but by addition by subtraction

(03:02):
is night and day in terms of personnel inefficiency than
they were two weeks ago. I think this, like I
said in the pick segment, I think this Cowboys team,
the same Cowboys team two weeks ago, would not beat
this Eagles team. I think this Cowboys team today has
a chance.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I think they do. I just you know, but we
can't shoot ourselves in the foot.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
No, we can't clam can't have four drops.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
No, and you can't you can't let Philly just like
let's say Philly wins the toss, they get the ball,
they go down and score touchdown.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
You just can't shoot yourself in the foot.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
If the defense is going to say, hey, we're gonna
be here today, they need to have that stop you know,
you can't do you have to stop that.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
You don't let the touch push happen.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, exactly, you know. Well no, you know what else
you can't do also is you can't just set up
for field goals. No, because the Eagles they can kick
field goals and they can hold on.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
The leads, and you need touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
You need touchdowns you need your offense to come back,
and I think, like I said last week against the Raiders,
that was a good way to get your offensive, you know,
powers back because the two games before that we didn't
know where the offense.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Was also good news. I got an update on a
couple of minutes ago that Jadavian Clowney, the other start
in the ed Rusher, he was a question for this game.
He is going to play. So they'll have all their
starters on the front seven plane.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Today And that's good.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
That's huge, you know, And it's a huge thing because
if you're going to be in this discussion for the playoffs,
it starts today.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
You got to get that win.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Because I'll be honest with you, whoever wins the NFC
this year wins the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I think the AFC is a joke. I think the
AFC has better quarterbacks. I think the NFC has.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Better Yeah, but I think the AFC. Yeah, I mean,
I just think it's a surprise to me. You know,
Buffalo disappointed me. You know, Buffalo is not the counter. Hey,
you can't count him out. But you did go into
Houston and you played without C. J. Stroud in that lineup,
and you let Houston hang around.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
But the thing is though, in the playoffs, you can't
always pick hot like the Patriots and the Colts, I
can't trust them in the playoffs because that's all new
to them, right he was Like Buffalo and even Denver,
you could trust them because they've been to the playoffs.
They know how to make those runs.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Denver knows how to win super Bowls.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
They met last year, like the same team was in
the playoffs last year. They've been there.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
But you're looking at Kansas City in the hunt category
when you normally we've been seeing Kansas City divisional French
right now, right right, they would have been eight, nine, ten,
and oh we're talking about maybe they could beat the
Miami Dolphins record. Gotta gotta gotta I don't know today
for them. I think Indianapolis is a team that's not

(05:35):
messing around.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Now.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
It is loud in Kansas City. I think there's a
huge advantage there. And it's outside and it's outside. But
can Kansas City if they do make the playoffs, they're
not going to be at home. No, they they're not
going to be They're gonna have to do it on
the road. Now they've done it on the road before
you know. And I get that. I understand that, So
slow down, Chiefs Nation. I get it.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
It's called Chiefs Kingdom.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
But whatever, I don't care. Our barbecues better.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Not justputing that, no, but I just think it's going
to be interesting as it comes down, because again, a
couple of weeks ago, we're talking about how the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers are going to be that team. Now we're
talking about Carolina Panthers, maybe that team. Nor the Cowboys
got to do business today and they got to take
care of the Philadelphia period. So we'll see coming up next,

(06:24):
Shane's got a surprise for everybody.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I'll leave it at that. Fanatics take at seven to
sixty
