Speaker 1 (00:04):
Shane's got to spot.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
He's been telling me about it, kind of not telling
me about it, and he just told me that I
needed to stretch before this segment.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
So Shane, why do I need to stretch?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Dylan? We have beef, not you and me. You and
I each have what you would call one sided beefs.
You and I have a lot of beefs we do.
And I realized something that instead of just complaining about
it as we should, we should make a segment out
of it. And so each week we're gonna say this works,
we'll see how the people listen and like it. We're
gonna do a new segment and each week we get
to air out our beef in sports. It might be

(00:38):
a team, I might be a person out, it might
be whatever. But right now, Dylan, you know what time
it is. It's time to set it off.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I got a lot of problems with you, old people.
You know what really grinds my gish. I would like
to proch you the.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
You that's right, it's time to set it off, Dylan,
where each week you and I will to air out
the beefs we have in sports. And so don't I
fe'll mind.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I'd like to start, please do.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Going back about twenty years ago, before First Take really
took off, they were called Cole Pizza, was turned into
First and Tent, which which turned to First Take, and
that was with guys like Skip Bayless, Woody Page and whatever.
And about twenty eleven twenty twelve it really took off
with guys like Skip Bayless and Steven A. Smith. And
that was a fun niche show because you still had
the rest of the ESPN which was essentially informative and

(01:24):
focused on the audience. Now all of ESPN's program in
this pretty much debate shows, debate shows, and live games.
And so my beef is no, it is with a
the loud mouth that comes from ESPN. No, not Paton McAfee.
But I got beat with him. No, not paulifying Mom.
Yes I got beat with him. I'm talking to you,
Steven A. Smith. I've allowed you for years, for years

(01:45):
to get away with smearing people across sports and across
really politics too, and but get away with it and
calling people disrespect for forgetting names and all that. Earlier
this week you were live at some school. I forgot
what it was, but you were there with First Take
and Cam Newton and you called out Drake May calling
him a liar. You said, Drake May, of course you
watch our show. Everyone watched our show. Athletes watch our show.

(02:08):
Athletes since them have said like, no, we don't watch
the show. Everyone has meetings when that show was on.
But you know who actually watches this show, Dylan? You
know who actually watches first take? Nowadays? I'll tell you who.
Jim's with it on mute, bars with it on mute,
barbershops with it on mute. Doctor's office is with it
on mutes. No one watches this show for three hours
like they used to. It's on in waiting rooms and
places where they have to have TV on mute. No

(02:29):
one actually watches you. They hear about this stuff from
clips on social media. Your relevancy is carried over because
you have gone from a really good, great NBA reporter
to a crappy sorry, sports personality and now you're getting
into politics as well.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Who do you think you are, Stephen A.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
It's one thing to call someone to say someone that lied,
you question his character by labeling him a liar, and
then it turns out now you want to say, oh,
I was just messed around with it. I was just kidding.
I'm sorry, I'm all this stuff like that. No, no, no, no, no,
this is who you are. And Dylan, there's a lesson
to be learning this when people tell you who they are.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Listen, I could not agree more. Who do you got
beef with? Who I have beef with?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
You know, I've got beef with people not knowing the facts,
fans not knowing the facts, getting misleads and informations. I've
got beef with a certain news outlet in San Antonio,
and I've made that a fact in fact.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Currently they're currently blocking me on their.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Social media because they don't know the truth.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
They like to spread rumors, they like to spread lies,
they like to stretch the truth.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I'm gonna tell you one faith current, stick to telling
me what restaurants are good. Try not to dab into
sports because you don't know it. By the way, the
guy that was slamming Project Marvel and you know Prop
and Propy you live in Austin. Really you're not even
from current San Antonio, so I know why you did it.

(03:57):
It's called clickbait. How many times can I get the clicks?
How many times can I get somebody to be mouthed off?
Let me tell you something again. I've invited the mayor
on this program. She declined three times. She didn't want
to go toe to toe with me. And currently current
you're currently behind the process of San Antonio. Let us grow,

(04:22):
let us build, come together unity. You know, that's what
we have to do. My beef is with you, and
you're more than welcome to grab a mic with me
anytime you'd like.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
And that is set it off. I like that. I
like that. How do you like that? How do I
feel better now?

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Now?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I feel like I'm gonna go meet my friends and
be in a better moods online.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I want to hear it. I want to hear it.
They were liking it. They were like, okay, okay, they
don't want to mess with us.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
They still think so in Steth every week, we're's gonna
instead of complaining every single segment, we're gonna save it.
We're gonna play it at the end of the show
and we're gonna throw it in somebody's face. I like
it again, build it up and it's gonna just gonna explode,
and I love it.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
That's good stuff. Hey, we did it two hours today.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
We did We got to our show next week because
the Textans are at noon, but they'll be playing over
at Cappetite The Bull, the Bull next week Sunday.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
That's where they should play, by the way, every weekend. Yeah,
it's the Bull. Makes sense.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Next Sunday twelve thirty pregame one o'clock tip for you
Tuesday basketball. But we will have another two hour show
for y'all next week.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I love it. So that's the Fanatics. I think we're done.
We are to think we're gonna be off. I'm off
to the Hollow. Come join me over at Brook Hollow.
We got the Spurs tonight too, Baby, go Spurs, Go
go Sports, Go see you later.
