Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome into it second hour underway, little news and notes.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm your host, Dylan Emery along with Shane Carter.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
We're gonna get you to the bottom of the hour
as the Houston Texans get ready to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
We're gonna take you on over to the Houston Texans
pregame because you know why, we're the home of the
Houston Texans. That's what we do here on Ticket seven
to sixty. We bring you sports and sports opinions, sports talk.
We also do a little NFL picking.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Shane, are you ready?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
We're gonna jump this up about three segments. You know
why because we only have two segments left, so producing
on the fly. It's week number three of the NFL. Yes, Oh,
let's get started, shall we.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
You not hear the music?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
No, I can't hear the music. Oh, you're not producing
right that one second? Oh, we're waiting one second. One
second in radio land.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Let's try let's try this.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Here.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
It is, sorry about that, folks. Hyes, it is.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Week three of the end f L football Today. We've
got at twelve o'clock a couple twelve o'clock games to
go over the Atlanta Falcons visiting the Carolina Panthers in
the NFC South matchup, Shane, who do you got?
Speaker 4 (01:19):
I was really impressed with how that Falcons defense played
last week against the Vikings. Granted, JJ McCarthy got hurt,
but you saw a lot of rookie output from guys
like James Pearce and j Jaylen Walker. I think they
get I know, think they beat Carolina. I think they
get seven sacks today.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Wow, Okay, I like that. I do like the Atlanta Falcons.
They have surprised me, Shane. I think they're the closest
ones that are gonna give Tampa the run in the
NFC South.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
The Panthers they're nothing. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
It's just gonna be an easy win, as the Atlanta
Falcons will knock off the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
The other twelve o'clock game, the.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Green Bay Packers traveling to the Cleveland Browns. Now here's
a fun fact shame before I get your pick, Michael
Parsons is salivating about Joe Flacco. He's one of the
many quarterbacks that Michael Parsons.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Has yet to sack.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
He would like to get him on his scoreboard today.
One will he do that in two. Who wins this game?
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Well, I'll answer the win. I think the Packers win
this game pretty handily. But two, because we've seen the
snap account increase each week and the Browns offense sounds
like it's beat up a little bit.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
He might get two sacks.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Okay, okay, yeah, hands down. Green Bay wins this one. Cleveland,
I'm sorry you suck another game. We'll get to the
Texans towards the end here. Another game is the Cincinnati
Bengals and the Minnesota Vikings. Some are calling this the
hospital game, as both backup quarterbacks will make an appearance
for both teams. So if you're going to Vegas right now,
(02:50):
please don't bet on this game because you'll have no idea,
just like we won't either.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Shane, who do you got so? And the game of
Jake Brown versus Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz, it feels like
it's a tear age.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Jake Brown.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
I feel like could actually be a viable starter in
some teams. And even though they're going on the road,
the majority of this team looks like it's set up offensively.
They just got to get the offensive line figured out.
The offensive line is terrible, but I got Bengals on
a close one.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
The last time Carson Wentz was valuable was at North
Dakota State. I don't think he's done anything else in
the NFL. He's a backup, proven backup. I don't see
something happening here. I think Cincinnati goes into Minnesota today
and wins another one.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
You've got Aaron Rodgers traveling it up to.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
New England as the Steelers hosts the Patriots.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Who do you got?
Speaker 4 (03:37):
So? I told the guys this on the week, but
I'll tell you right now. I am a Kendrick fan.
I will never pick Drake. So therefore I'm going with
the Steelers, all right.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I like it. I think the Patriots are still one
of the teams that is still trying to run along
and stay along. I think the Pittsburgh Steelers go up
there today and get a win, a game to watch
at twelve o'clock, and I think think it's gonna be
a good one. The Los Angeles Rams against the defending
Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
The battle of two and oh's who loses and who wins?
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Shane, So, I think the Eagles win this game, but
I'm watching out for us to see, like how much
more the reps pay attention to the tush push. Are
they gonna watch out for any false stars? Are they
gonna watch out to in any extra curricular This is
gonna be closely rerelated regarding the beyond going beyond that.
Saquon Barkley in his last two games against the Rams
(04:29):
went over humped fifty yards each, both on turf and
the snow he owns them.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, So give me the Eagles in this one.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
And that's a key fact there is he owns the Rams,
and it's in Philly, there's no snow on the ground.
Give them all running all day. I think the Eagles
win this win and go three and Ozero the other
game that I kind of want to watch, but I
only want to watch because of the fashion that is
the Jake E. Te Yes Jets Jets Jets against the
Tampa Bay Cream Sickle Buccaneers.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Shane, who do you have in this one?
Speaker 3 (04:59):
You think I got this one? I'm going Tampa Tampa,
of course I am.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Not only do the Jets not have justin fields, not
only do they have the best offensive lineman, they don't
really seem to have some sort of offensive cohesion.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yet they don't even know how to lay in the
jet yet. Let's be honest here, I think the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers own them. But I think what we're watching
that game for is the cream Sickle. By the way,
Hint hint, wink wink. If anybody wants to get me
a gift, I want the creams Sickle jersey of Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
That is on my Christmas list. There you go, here's
another game for you.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
The Indianapolis or Indiana Jones Colts against the Tennessee Titans.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Who do you got in this one?
Speaker 4 (05:36):
I thought Cam Wore played pretty well last week. He does,
he seemed to be he seems to be getting better.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
He's at home.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yeah, but he's still gonna lose Colts the.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
First time Indians on the road.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yes, I believe so.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
But the thing is that the Colts seem to have
found balance on offensive defense and lo and behold, Daniel
Jones is playing maybe the best ball off any quarterback
in the league right now.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
He is, He's found a home. Indiana Jones and his
Colts are two and oh ten. Titans are zero to two.
But you know what, sometimes you just gotta win and
sometimes you gotta know that cam Ward is my starting
quarterback for the Raging Bananas of Fantasy football, since not
only Daniels is out for the Commanders, by the way,
my backup was McCarthy.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
He's out, by the way, so let's go.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Pick up the rookie, the number one rookie sensation, and
let's see what cam does. I'm pulling for the Titans
here in this one, and if you're a Texans fan,
you're pulling for that as well. And the other twelve
o'clock game, the Raiders against the Washington Commanders. I know
our friend Ricky Bobby's gonna be watching this game. Who
do you got in this one, Shane?
Speaker 4 (06:37):
I think I think the Raiders might be even better
than their record indicates another five hundred, but the Action
might be a team that could be better than the
Chiefs at this point. I think they beat a Jaden
Daniels lists Commanders team, even though they're on the road.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
You know, Mariota, he's pretty good coming in stepping up
to the plate for the Commanders. He's he's kind of
done some good stats against him. Uh, Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Pete Carroll after that twenty to nine loss against the Bolts.
I think they're gonna be looking to bounce back. The
Raiders lose this one to the Commanders. I think Washington
pulls this one through and wins that one. Three h
five games that we've got, and we'll go through these
pretty quickly.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
You've got the.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Denver Broncos against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Shane, who do you got.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
I'm kind of surprised at the way the Broncos lagged
and to start the season. I think I still think
they're a playoff team. But the Charger right now might
be the best team in the NFL, at least in
the AFC, and Justin Herbert is playing at an elite
level beyond what we've seen in the past.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yeah, So I think there's a lot of Charger people
or a lot of people thinking that the Chargers are
going to slip. They're at home in Los Angeles against
the Broncos. The Broncos are gonna kind of have their
backs against the wall. They're one and one going in,
but give me the Chargers to come out three to
zero after this one. Another one the New Orleans Aints
against the Seattle Seahawks, who do you got, so.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
I think the big the big contingency here, honestly, is
gonna be Jackson Smith and Jigba. The Saints are one
of the worst teams to allow, allowing receptions to the
slot receivers. I think he's gonna have a big game,
and I think the Seahawks blow.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Out the Saints.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, not a lot of talk here. The Seahawks will
handle them, no doubts. New Orleans probably gonna go Owen
seventeen this season. Another late game for you. The Arizona
Cardinals and the San Francisco forty nine Ers. Surprise, surprise,
both teams unbeaten.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Shane, who do you have?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
I have a hard time believing it.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
But mccorco looked pretty good last week, didn't he?
Speaker 2 (08:35):
He did?
Speaker 4 (08:36):
And even though I've given a lot of respect to
the Cardinals and the way they developed the defense, the
way the rush is really really selt up set up well,
I don't know what kind of kil Murray I'm gonna
get as the best way to describe it here. And
the Niners defense, even though it's getting older and a
little more beat up, they seem to have.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Replenished the secondary pretty well. Even the Niners.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
I like that one. I want to go with Arizona.
I like what Arizona's doing. You know, Kyler Murray's Rylan Murray.
I liked him at OU and even when he was
at Texas A and M for a little bit.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
But I like the.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Cardinals to knock off the forty nine ers at home today.
I think that that's gonna be a good one. The
Sunday night football game, I'm.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Feeling oh in two and.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
That would be the Taylor Swifties against the New York Giants.
The battles of oh in two. Shane, who finally gets
their first win.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Of the season, say what, The Giants really impressed me
last week.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
But I don't know if that's because the offense is
more improved or just because maybe the Cowboys defense is
really that regressed. And I have a hard time. I
have a hard time believing the Giants can be the Chiefs.
I don't see it.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Could we have the banner tomorrow? The headlines is Kansas
City in trouble? Could they go oh in three in
a night game? Not so fast? I think Kansas City
blows out New York. Russell's week last week was a
fluke We're gonna see a lot more Jackson Dart in
this game. New York will get. Yeah, I know a
little crazy in prime time, but give me the Chiefs
(09:59):
in that one. And in the Monday night football one.
This is gonna be a good one. Some blue collar
towns here. You've got Detroit at on the road.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
In Baltimore, you've got the Lions versus the Ravens. Shane,
who do you got?
Speaker 4 (10:11):
I got the Ravens because what we saw last week
is the way this eventually wants to move. It wants
to move on the ground and wants spread through the air.
They have found a complete game plan on offense. Give
me Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
You like Baltimore in that one.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
This one's gonna be hard because Week one where was Detroit?
Week two there's Detroit. Who are they? We don't know yet.
Detroit's gotta find their connection with Baltimore. Right now, they're
scoring points and they're scoring at will.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah, they have.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
That loss against Buffalo, but they're getting forty fifty a game.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Baltimore is on.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Fire right now and at home on a Monday night game.
Give me Baltimore to win this one big over the
Detroit Lions. A twelve o'clock kickoff that comes over here
on Tickets seven sixty. The Houston Texans taking on the
Jacksonville jaguarres By the way of the Jacksonville Jajaguars are
one to one, the Texans are zero to two.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Does Houston get their first win today? Shane?
Speaker 4 (11:08):
The Jaguars have allowed the ninth most passing touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Through two weeks.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Even with the addition of Travis Hunter, who's still part
time offense, part time defense.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
I some to see him play like it did in Colorado.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
I think that even though the Jags are obviously improved,
I think there's a bounce back game for the Texans,
a team probably they should have won last week against
the Bucks, but I got the Texas winning this one.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Look, you can't afford in the NFL to go out
oh and three and in your division where the Colts
are undefeated, the Jags have a win, and you're facing
Jacksonville and then you get a chance to get Tennessee.
I believe next week you gotta get a win, Houston Texans.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
But wait, it's not going to happen today.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
The Texans will be oh and three and they will
lose to Sunshine as the Jaguars will beat them twenty
four to one.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
He won on a game ending.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Field goal, not strod the I like the confidence in
that one.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
So we've got Jacksonville, You've got Houston. I've got the Jags,
and in a game that matters, the Dallas Cowboys taking
on the Bears at three to twenty five from Soldier
Field in Chicago.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Shane, who do you got?
Speaker 4 (12:25):
So the legs of Caleb Williams concerned me because the
Cowoys are stroggles mobile quarterbacks. What also concerns me is
the pass rush, even with the addition to Davin Clowney,
because this week's offensive line with the Bears is actually
much better than last.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Week's against the Giants. So we'll see what that looks like.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
But remember, remember earlier I said the Jags allowed the
I think it was actually tied for fifth most touchdown
pass through two weeks. You know who has allowed the
most touchdown passes through two weeks?
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Dub Bears. They've allowed seven in two games.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
Dak Prescott, even though the stats might not show it,
is playing some of the best ball at least.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
In the NFC.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
I think he has three tuddies today through the air,
Cowboys win.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Cowboys are favored one and a half towards kickoff. But
let me tell you something, Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones
Hey defense, step up, because last week you made Russell
Wilson look like a Hall of Famer and I don't
like that. I don't like that our secondary was that open.
Here's what I hope. I hope that the Cowboys secondary
learned from their mistakes last week and they don't allow
(13:24):
Caleb Williams to run around with his fingernails polished and
everything else like that all over the field. Make him run,
make him make mistakes. Dak Prescott, tell you what, throw
more often to two wideouts pickings and lamb and lamb.
Let's catch one in the end zoner once or twice, right,
Because at the end of the day, you know what
I want to be saying at six thirty as we
(13:45):
get ready for that Sunday night football.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
How about their Cowboys?
Speaker 1 (13:48):
WHOA give me Dallas forty two, Chicago seven.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Wow, that's our picks for week number three? Who Yeah?
That's right, little cowboy.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
Action caffeine in right now, it is, it's right during
the system because because my.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Guy here, you know, you're like, oh, my shoulders, I'm tired.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
I feel the shoulder anymore, you know what I mean.
It's all that game day stuff, man, I get all
that energy. I'm telling you, I'm.
Speaker 5 (14:12):
Telling Jana is doing work for you. Huh, Yeah they are.
They're doing a great job. I'm telling it helps a
little Vanessa. She gets the whole diet thing going and
everything else like that. Actually, run makes me, run, makes
me do push ups, you know, stuff.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
Like I never asked. I never asked her this because
I met a couple of times. What's her school? What's
her college? Like?
Speaker 3 (14:28):
UTSA?
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Oh and by the way, Texas.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
She likes Texas. Okay, shes a T shirt band? Got it?
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Yeah, I'll show you. I got a picture of her
and an oh you shirt. I'm just like letting you know,
just letting you know. There it is. It's all out there,
public record. But coming up next, I want to break
down both Houston and Dallas for you. That's all next
on the Fanatics on Ticket seven sixty
