Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, all arm, I guess I'm gonna do it. It
is that time on iHeartRadio for us to chase down.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Florida man and or Florida woman and follow all the
re exploits. We do that every day in this it's
called WTF and that stands for.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
What Floria We go first, he said to a Florida man.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yes, on this Florida man decided to throw some rocks
at Florida patrol cars and he was rested twenty minutes later.
I mean, because yeah, what did the police him twenty minutes?
That's it, that's all I took. This guy with his
crime spree. A man was released from jail, found himself
back in custody just twenty minutes later because he was

(00:50):
throwing rocks at a Florida Deputies patrol car. So he
was already in jail, gets let out, throws rocks right
back in twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Later, serving up a good lunch he didn't want to miss, right, Yeah,
he's liked that cheese sandwich. Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Kevin Barrios was arrested and then he was released from
the Bavard County jail at three thirty pm. And then
right after that he encountered a deputy who was driving,
and that's when he threw a rock at the marked
patrol car.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Did he hit it?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Well, the deputy was already on his way to bring
another person in the jail, so he's like, you know what,
let me just pick up Kevin.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Here too and bring him stop.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, no reasonable explanation was provided why Kevin threw the
rock at the deputy. So Kevin was taken back to jail. Oh,
come on, Kevin, damn. The deputy was getting a loaner
vehicle because his was damaged from the rock, and uh yeah,
that's uh. They got mister Barrios on surveillance footage ouiting
the jail. He walked across the street and then they

(01:48):
see him throwing objects at the patrol car.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Shoot, there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
He got the target anymore a prize?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, well there you go right back in, all right,
that's a lot of funds.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yeah. Kevin's like, it's gonna be shower time. I don't
want to miss that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
We go next to not just a it's not a
Florida man or a Florida woman. No, this is Florida
real estate at its finest. Okay, because you know, Florida's
weird Florida man, Florida woman also very weird. It makes
sense that Florida real estate is also very strange, like
this one where not only is there a basement at

(02:27):
this Florida home, which I didn't even think was that thing?

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Oh, a basement in Florida.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Golly, I miss a basement so much. I used to live.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
I used to live in the furnished basement when I
was when I grew up up north.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
It was a magical you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
That was the Shack Central.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Absolutely, they had a bar back there. It was awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Why does every basement have.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
A bar always every single time?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yes, so they used to do it back in the day. Man,
they were stars. I like that.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Yeah, this one has a basement, but not just that,
it also has a swimming pool well in the basement.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Here in Florida. Yeah, drop that location.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Weird, right, Yes, let's let's uh, let's let's buy this thing,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Shot.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
According to this the current owner of the home did
not put the pool there, and he doesn't even want
it there. He's gone online for the next steps ahead
of selling the property.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
He's like, look, I don't want this pool.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I can imagine that whoever buys this thing is also
going to not want this pool. What do I do
with this basement that is currently holding a pool? Now
the room is enclosed with French doors. I had to
recess lighting, tile, concrete flooring, and a small adjoining sitting area.
They say, structurally it's fine, it's got its own ACU,
you know, but he wants ideas on what to do

(03:40):
with it. According to this, some people said, here are
options that he shared. Refinish it as a functional indoor
pool slash spa, because I guess it's it is a pool,
but it's all jacked up, you.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (03:52):
So all right, fix it up and let's keep it
as a pool. Either that or turn it into a
rec room slash gym slash home theater, keeping the pools
shape but you know covered, you know what I mean,
So it's not all filled in, you know what I'm saying,
filled it in.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Turn it into a game room, studio or a bar.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
I mean, just turn it into a skate park there,
you know, yeah, freeze it and turn it into an
ice skating rude.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
There, you go, Come on about that?

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Where's this again where in Florida.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Some people were commenting, I didn't even think there were
basements in Florida, let alone once with pools.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, One person said, the biggest complaint of Floridians is
not having enough mold in their home, so this should
solve that problem. Yeah, this will keep the gators out right.
It's actually a terrible idea to have a pool in
your home.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
All that. You're right, The mold alone is just going
to be a nightmare.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
But in the basement like anything like circulation.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
No way, No, turn it into a night club. That's
what you do. Charge it mission admission.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
We go lastly to a now former Florida Man school
principal who had to design after swimming while intoxicated and
getting arrested.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Oh boy, I.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Gotta tell you there's not a person in this room
that hasn't swam while intoxicated.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
You know what I'm saying. Please, Yeah, things were bad enough.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
According to this Christopher Mertz, he was notified that he
was going to be fired.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
This is back in May. They told him, the school board.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Said, hey, dude, just so you know, we're going to
be firing you soon because he was involved in a
quote inappropriate romantic relationship with an employee. So he's the
principal of the school. He was hooking up with a teacher.
Not only that, he gave that teacher a promotion. Oh boy,
not supposed to do that. No, yeah, And then and

(05:45):
then the final nail in the coffin was when mister
Mertz got arrested for swimming while intoxicated. He's forty four
years old and he's now in the grievance process.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
He's trying to keep his job.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Listen, I don't mind the drinking and swimming while intoxicated. Right,
If you're fratenizing with one teacher, you need to frotnize.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
With them all, Okay, you know how they got to
snitch on you and want you to do them all.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
It's like bringing bubble gum in the class.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
If you don't have enough to share, then don't bring it,
do not, Wow, mister Mertz, Look get that. I know
I'm liking mister he's single now, right, yeah, right, exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, he doesn't have a job that teachers like warn
him anymore. Yeah, I broke too.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
We can't have too.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Boy, that's too much broke energy going on. Well that
was fun, I mean for everybody except for this teacher.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
You know.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
It was in formed back in May that he was
gonna be losing his job, and then really lost his
job after getting caught while swimming drunk.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
I know, shoot city girls up though, no one, that's it.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
No women today.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
He's got a lot of time on his hands. Lady.
You know they'll be there for you. Well, that was
a lot of fun. We'll do it again every morning
at seven thirty and nine thirty.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Remember, listen to the podcast. You know that's free. It's
on iHeartRadio, right you just look forward The Freak Show.
WTF the podcast? That is the Freak Show. WTF the podcast?
And if I'm being honest here, I don't think that
I swam during my twenties at all.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
While I was sober, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
It was always drum, always drunk.
