Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Gambler starts. Now, here's Adam Kaufman.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
What's up? Welcome to Thursday. This is the Gambler with
Adam Kaufman. Heind that's me not alone. Dan Watkins is here.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Hey Dan, what's up? What's up?
Speaker 4 (00:13):
Brian bought on the board. What's going on? Brian?
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Happy Thursday?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Well, I hope it's a happy Thursday. There's a long
way to go in this TNF. This Thursday Night Football game,
Cowboy at the giving game it is if you played
the under I did not as an official show play.
It got a little sweaty in the opening half. Right now,
I'm feeling a little bit better about it. It was
under forty five and a half. We're sitting at twenty
(00:37):
three total points about five minutes into the third quarter,
so obviously a ton can change. But the big most
notable thing that we have seen so far, and we'll
let you know how official show plays are going in
all of that giants, by the way, our third and goals,
So that can certainly flip things around momentarily as relates
to the total liveline is forty five and a half,
(00:57):
right on the nose. And if you were to go, oh,
that it is at plus money. The Giants have had
the ball so far for twenty four minutes in change.
That's it, Whereas the Cowboys are at eleven and are
leading somehow this game. But the Giants have just methodically bledclock.
Penalties have come into play as well. The Cowboys defensively
(01:20):
can't get out of their own way. Giants are probably
going to take a lead or well, I guess they
got a big third down stop, so presumably they're going
to hold him to a field goal make it fourteen
to twelve, assuming the kicker does what he has been
doing all night long, which is, you know, successfully drill
field goals. It has been the most reliable scoring play
for the Giants so far has been the foot of
(01:42):
the veteran Greg Joseph with a long of fifty two,
and we'll see what he can do here at a
much shorter distance. Official show plays. This is meaningful. I
mean it's good. I guess that the Cowboys had them
held them to a field goal. If they come back
and can go back and add by a touchdown, that will
put us.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Back to where we would like to be.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Because one of the official show plays is to cover
the five and a half points and the field goal
is good, so we're trying to cover the five and
a half again. Long way to go in this game.
Dallas is up by two. Dan's leg which we all loved,
Ceedee Lamb first half cash and then some it was
over on the receiving yards, he is sitting just one
below right now on the over for receptions that was
(02:23):
six and a half. He is six for ninety four,
including a big fifty five yard gain, just somewhat outdoing
his rookie counterpart on the other side of the Leik Neighbors,
who is six for seventy four with a thirty nine
yard er difference being again more yards for Lamb, but
also he has one of the two touchdowns for the Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
The other Rico dudele a receiving score.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
So if you went over on Dak Prescott for passing touchdowns,
he cashed that in the opening half the play that
I am a little bit nervous about, and there's time,
but I am nervous. Prop bombs pick last night with us,
which was over what we got it at thirty one
and a half rushing yards for the quarterback Daniel Jones
(03:08):
on the Giants side now the close game right now,
I guess does help us out. But he is three
for eight. That's it, yeah right now. In fact, the
Giants have just been miserable running the ball. They are
nineteen for thirty one so far.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, they're not even like Jones isn't even really looking
to run here. And I mean we've seen Michael Parsons
get banged up in this game. Now, Dexter Lawrence or
DeMarcus Lawrence rather getting banged up two for Dallas, their
two best pass rushers. Maybe he looks to kind of
move outside the pocket here a little bit and hopefully
you can take off. I mean, if this game does
get to garbage time, though, I still like that for
(03:44):
us because I think that's when Jones will just get
greedy and just try to pick up yards anyway he can.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Entirely possible. Entirely possible.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
As far as the bank rollerpayers, Dan, you have a
plus one oh seven. I think the only thing we're
missing right now is we need one more catch out
of Brandon Cooks.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Correct, all right? And then mine is a plus one
oh five.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
We won't no no until the end because part of
it is the Cowboys plus three and a half there
was a little insurance for us, so God forbid the
Giants win this game. I can't begin to tell you
how on a personal level much that would screw me,
So I hope that doesn't happen. Outside of that, looks
like we need one rushing yard out of Devin Singletary.
(04:26):
We got to get him to twenty five, so long
as the Cowboys, you know, ideally win or again, God forbid, lose.
But within a field goal, everything else is tracking pretty well.
We need Dak to get to two hundred passing yards.
He's at one seventy.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
At the moment.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
They're moving, they're moving the ball, so everything, everything is
well within reach for us. Tonight's we're sitting. We're sitting
pretty I would say right now.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah, in the perfect world where we cash everything, that's
plus eleven.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Twelve units'd Great'd be amazing.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
I'd be the most we've done, I think probably since March.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Been a little bit of April, a little bit. Yeah,
So hopefully that'll happen tonight. We always tell you we
love Thursdays because this opening hour is mostly going to
be looking ahead to the college football weekend. Of course,
there were games tonight, A game or two anyway, but
we'll have action on Friday, mostly obviously Saturday, that gigantic
(05:19):
Alabama Georgia matchup. John mckeckney from Ronal Wire is going
to join us and looking forward to chatting with him.
He's a he's a bulldog guy, so he's gonna be
We do the People's Parlay, two of them on Thursdays,
one for college, one for the NFL. And I texted
mckechney and I said, you know, just let you know
you're gonna be part of the show parlay. Uh, you know,
(05:43):
try and you know, keep your your bias in check.
And he said, rest assured. I'm nervous as hell. There's
no way the official show play that I give you
will have anything to do with that game.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah. I'm like looking at that game too, man, and
I'm like, I think I'm just going to enjoy this one.
This is like the pace of college football. It does
not get better than this Georgia Alabama and we get
to finally figure it out. If you know Kirby Smart,
if he has just had a Nick Saban problem for
the last decade, or if it's a Alabama problem with
Calen de Born. Now they're smart one in five in
(06:16):
his career against Alabama, all those games with Saban of course,
and Georgia forty five and two over the last three
plus years, those two losses, both of the Crimson Tide.
So cannot wait to watch this one Saturday night.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Should be a blast. It'll be in prime time.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
I do have a I told John, I have a
very small play, like so small, I just don't care.
I have a very small play on Alabama.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
With the points.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Did you use the FanDuel boost?
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Not yet, because I will by the time kickoff rolls
around have a play that I do care about related
to that game, but it'll it'll be more than likely
one of the like I tend to with those boosts.
For anyone that doesn't use FanDuel for some of these
bigger matchups, they'll three a fifty profit boost with like
(07:01):
a minimum minus two hundred legs something like that, right,
And so what I usually do for those.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
Games, and who knows?
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Obviously, Like I would say, the only reason I do
it is because I've had more success than not. But
it's it's not an automatic. I wish free money were
such a thing, but I tend to get cute. I
do a you know, some sort of an alternate spread
potentially on both sides and look to middle it, but
a very wide ranging spread and points as well, and
(07:34):
just try and like cut it perfectly right into the
middle and then boost that.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
I've been doing that quite a bit this season. It's
you know, knock on wood.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Worked out pretty well, so that I do tend to
put more money on so that I will care about
quite a bit. But I have not even thought about
what that play is going to look like yet.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, I'm with you, I have no idea what to expect.
I mean, I can't wait to get John's opinion, because
once again Georgia they open up with their SEC road
game and it is just an absolute slug fest in
a game that you shouldn't that you weren't expecting to be, uh,
you know, a rockfight of a game against Kentucky. But
both these teams coming in off of off of a
(08:12):
buye a week ago last weekend, so well rested and
ready to go, and it's gonna be a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
So John will join us much of this opening hour
to talk college football, and next hour after we give
out our bank roll repairs. The majority of that hour
will be spent with our old friend at Jonathan von
Tobel from Vson. I don't know if the I haven't
seen the JVM the John von model out there.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
I think he retired that halfway through last year.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
I'll ask him, Yeah, I'm way too busy. I'll ask
him a lot of changes at Vson in the last
couple of months or so. But we'll ask him if
that's still in practice or if it's just something he's
doing for himself. Because Lord knows, this football season, we'll
go game by game, give you a pick a leen,
whatever it is, for every single contest, including the Monday
night football doubleheader. But this has been such a weird
(08:58):
football season it could only potentially be made weirder tonight again.
Heaven forbid. Really hope that doesn't happen. But you know
we've told you some of the numbers. They're incredible. I mean,
coming into tonight because tonight's game would apply because the
Cowboys again five and a half point favorites, and there
looks like readying themselves for a field goal. Here be
(09:19):
a long one underdogs of five and a half plus
points this year fourteen and two against the spread, with
ten outright wins, including five in week three. Seven plus
point dogs four and oh straight up this year. So
if you believe that trend is going to continue, then
you're throwing some money on the money line for the
(09:41):
Patriots at that was a sixty yarder. My god, yeah,
thank you, thank you, sir. Brandon Aubrey has quite a
leg on him. I played his over one and a
half field goals as well, so incredible. All right, So
the Cowboys go back up by five, which is meaningful. Again,
we need five and a half, but that helps step
in the right direction. Noah scoffing in a sixty yarder.
(10:03):
But anyway, if you believe that seven plus point dogs
are going to continue to win, nevermind cover invest in
the Patriots, who are ten and a half point underdogs
this weekend at San Francisco spoiler alert. I don't have
any confidence in that happening, but same do what you
want to do, obviously.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
And don't forget about the Chargers either. They're getting seven
at home against the Chiefs. I mean, if Herbert's healthy,
I feel like San Diego or la excuse me, has
uh has given the Chiefs trouble in the past here
and they might be able to do it again this
weekend here if there is a healthy Justin Herbert. I
don't trust Taylor Heineke at all.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
When we're talking baseball next year, you're gonna refer to
the Athletics as Oakland probably forever and ever, forever and ever.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
I'm not going to the Sacramento A's. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
No, at least they won today. They did give him
that much. You know the h did you see the
real Did.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
You see the Ricky Henderson quote?
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah, you sent it through. Yeah, he send it through
to our chat. I don't remember what it was for
Batim it was.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
It was it was basically like they asked him, you know,
if he was sentimental or whatever about you know, Oakland
going away or they's leaving Oakland, and he said, I
don't care. I have too much money. What a line.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
It was crazy. There was a who was it?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
It was probably a tweet from Major League Baseball, which
really tells you something even still about the steroid era,
because it just I don't remember exactly what it was,
but it was like, you know, talking through the the
memories the history of Oakland, and it's like, you know,
Ricky Henderson and Catfish Hunter and uh Dennis Eckersley and
(11:35):
like a handful of guys. No mention of Mark McGuire,
Jose Can. Yeah, just like the Bash Brothers never existed.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
No, they just went from from act to Moneyball.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Basically I didn't even mention moneyball at least as far
as a you know, it was just like my name,
yeah ended it ended it in the mid eighties or
something like that one.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Right, We'll always have Scott Hadiberg hitting that big home
run or was it Chris Pratt? Okay, we'll step aside
when we come back again. John mckeckney wrote a wire
college Football Talk. We will preview all the big games
this weekend and give you a college football people's parlay
back here on The Gambler with Adam Kaufman. If you
(12:19):

out tons of great information, picks, parlays, plays, survivor advice.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
A little bit.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Later on as well, do check out the podcast if
you miss any of it, Again The Gambler with Adam Kaufman,

almost daily basis, they will be sent right to you
wherever you listen. Let's get into some college talk. We're
going to be joined on the show by a couple
of John's tonight beginning pregnant pause intentionally with of course
(12:52):
John mckechney, our good friend who has not been on
with us since Back to School week when Dan was
filling in and hoping out, you know, immensely in getting
people ready for the college football season. The thing is
now we are underway and we got some huge matchups
coming this weekend. Mckechney here from Road to Wire, Handles
NFL and college content over there. You can get him
(13:14):
on Twitter at John's Underscore Tailgate. John, Welcome back, gentlemen.
Speaker 6 (13:20):
It's good to be back. Always always look forward to
catching up with y'all and talking to some college football
during the season. And you know, we've yeah, it's been
about a month or so, so we've got, you know,
four weeks in the books, four point five, you know,
if you want to count week zero in there. And
I feel like we've learned a lot, but I feel
like this weekend's going to teach us even more well.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Obviously, the biggest game of the weekend comes tomorrow night,
and that is Washington against Rutgers. No, clearly it is
your alma mater that you are so passionate about Georgia.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Taking on Alabama.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Huge matchup, of of course, you know Prime Time two
against four a one point essentially a pick them. This
one is in Tuscaloosa. The Bulldogs are considered the favorites
at least as of right now, but the money could
change that. How do you feel about this game other
than nervous?
Speaker 6 (14:12):
Yeah, well, darn you kind of took my answer right
out of my house there. I am extremely nervous for
this one as a Georgia fan because you know, Alabama
has traditionally had George's number dating back to the start
of the Saban era, and you know, Kirby Smart, I believe,
is just one in five against the Tide. And you know,
(14:34):
when this game was announced and when Saban retired and
Alabama had kind of this funky coaching search in which,
you know, there just weren't that many people that were,
you know, stepping up to be the guy after the guy, right,
you know, it took them a while to land on
Kale and de Boor, And you know, I think that
there was a fair amount of concern, if you will,
(14:58):
or just uncertainty rather when it came to hol Milree
was going to fit within the Kalen Dobores system. You know,
different type of quarterback than Michael Pennix was at at Washington,
and you know, it is the talent. They're the same
exact way that we were used to under Saban, but
they didn't get the traditional kind of pillaging through the
(15:22):
transfer portal when it when a coach leaves and and
you know, especially one of Saban's ilk, the roster you know,
largely remained intact other than the guys that went on
to the draft, and through the first three weeks, Alabama
looks really, really explosive. I think it is the big
takeaway for me and that that's always been a big
part of these Georgia Alabama games. A lot of the
(15:43):
times we've seen it be kind of a rock fight
early on, and then Alabama is the one to deliver
that first big punch.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
You know.
Speaker 6 (15:51):
We saw it with Jalen Waddle in the twenty twenty
game where I think Georgia was up at halftime and
then Jalen Wattle breaks off this ninety five yard touchdown.
And you know, kind of just breaks the will of
Georgia and the game kind of fell apart from there
for the Dogs. But that's ancient history, of course, But
you know, I think we also can look at the recent,
(16:12):
the most recent examples for both these teams. You know,
Week three, Alabama goes up to Madison and just lays
waste to the poor Badgers. And obviously Tyler Van Dyke
going out early in that game had a significant impact
on the outcome of that game. But even still Alabama
was was, you know, landing those shots from from Milroe
(16:33):
to Ryan Williams, who looks just like the next great
Alabama receiver already, even though I don't believe he's old
enough to vote yet. And then on the other side,
Georgia had a traditional rock fight with with Kentucky, as
they tend to do. You know that it seems like
once a year Georgia really struggles on the road in
(16:53):
a night environment in conference, and that certainly ended up
being the case. We saw it a couple of years
ago when Georgia almost lost to Mazoo during the twenty
twenty two season. So our recent you know, examples are
just so vastly different and it's hard to swear it
going into this game. And you know, I think that
most of the public, you know, has the confidence in
(17:13):
Alabama based on what we've seen so far.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
So which way are you going, John? I mean, is
it a Nick Saban Has it been a Nick Saban problem,
or is it that you know, it's an Alabama problem
for the for the Dogs.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
Well, they are still Saban's players, so I think they
still kind of have kept that that mentality. And you know,
my lean right now is to you know, from a
betting man, which I am, I'm taking Alabama and the
points where where I can get it. You know, I
think that, you know, I think Alabama wins this game outright.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
I'm just not.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
Sure that that Georgia has the offensive firepower necessarily if
the defense breaks down. And there I think the defense
for Georgia just isn't quite at the same caliber that
it was in twenty twenty one, in twenty twenty two.
So if Alabama is landing those big shots, then it's
gonna be tough for Carson Becking company to kind of
(18:12):
keep up on the scoreboard. And I wonder if they're gonna,
you know, start feeling that pressure even if they get
down by one touchdown, if it's a one of those long,
big plays, I think that, you know, Georgia could get rattled,
especially in that environment. So frankly, going into into this weekend,
I would be surprised if Georgia comes out of Tusco
(18:33):
So with a win.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
How shoul we feel about the forty nine and a
half point total?
Speaker 6 (18:38):
I like the first half under I think that things
will will be a little bit you know, there will
be a longer feeling out process in this game before
things really get going. At least that's my expectation. But
I think ultimately that this could kind of melt down
in the second half. That's where I think we're going
to see most of the points. And so I do
(19:01):
like the the over forty nine year.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
So, John, you're worried about your Bulldogs, I'm worried about
my Irish this weekend. Riley Leonard apparently doesn't know how
to throw the football anymore. I mean, that's been a
real startling development here this season for Notre Dame. But
they do get a chance at revenge here against a
Louisville team that knocked them out last year, or at
least well they handed them a big, fat l on
the road in Louisville. This game's in South Bend. The
(19:27):
Irish six and a half to seven point favorites here.
Tyler Shug is healthy. He is awesome when he is healthy.
What do you make of this matchup?
Speaker 6 (19:36):
Yeah, this is definitely a you know, a prime game.
I'm really excited for this one, you know, number fifteen
versus number sixteen. It's nice that Louisville is kind of
proving to not be flashing the pan, you know, like
like some people have kind of expected that they had
the great season last year with a number of like
(19:56):
you like you alluded to, you know, kind of feather
and your cap type of wins. But they've able to
They've been able to cobble it together really nicely through
the transfer portal and and you know that that can
be a gamble that goes the other way, as we've
seen at Florida State.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
But it's gone.
Speaker 6 (20:11):
Well for Brahm and company at Louisville. They have an
Alabama transfer at wide receiver. That's never a bad idea.
I don't think in Jacory Brooks, he's really taken on
the mantle of being the alpha receiver in that room.
So I think that Louisville is going to be testing
that that Notre Dame secondary a good bit on on Saturday.
(20:32):
It's just a matter of like, can Notre Dame stay
true to what it does and what it does is
it going to be enough? And by that I mean
are they going to be one dimensional with with the
run game and are they going to be able to
have enough success that way? But I love the Notre
Dame backfield that I think Price and and Love are
(20:53):
both excellent running backs. I think that's a really nice tandem.
And I think for all of Riley Leonards shortcomings as
a pas sir, I do think he is an extremely
effective runner. So I think that you know, you have
that three headed monster back there, and I think that
the physicality there Notre Dame having already gotten its wake
up call back in week two against Northern Illinois, I
(21:15):
think the Irish are going to come, you know, ready
to roll here. And you know, this was a spread
that was four and a half earlier in this earlier
in the week, and now it's you know, up to
seven at some books. So that kind of lets you
know the way that the line has swung towards Notre Dame,
and I think that Notre Dame can cover the full touchdown.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
We've only scratched the surface. John mckeckney is here with
us from Road to Wire previewing the college football weekend.
We're also keeping an eye on this Cowboys Giants game,
still a seventeen to twelve game. Giants have the ball
back late in the third quarter, just got it back
off a punt, So we'll let you know what happens
as this one trickles on. We'll be back with mckeckney
(21:55):
including a people's parlay for your college football Saturday. Back
here with John mckeckney from Road to Wire looking ahead
to the college football weekend. And there is yet another
matchup that involves two top twenty teams. That is Penn
State playing host to Illinois in eighteen points spread, the
number nine against the number nineteen. Looks like most of
(22:16):
the money most of the bets are coming in though
on the dog at least to cover plus eighteen. Once again,
no surprise that you're seeing more of the significantly more
of the bets when it comes to the money line
on the home team. But how do you read this game? Here, John, So, I.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
Think that the kind of axium I approached Penn State
with is as long as it's not Michigan or Ohio
State on the other side, they're probably going to roll.
And I know that that Bilima had a really nice
win last week with the ALIGNI going into Lincoln. Who
you know, that Nebraska team what was generating a lot
(22:55):
of buzz in its own right. But this is a
Penn State team that, on like the blue chip ratio
talent wise, is head and shoulders ahead of what Illinois
has on their side. I'm not a huge believer in
quarterback Luke Altmeyer. I think that you know, we have
a guy and Drew Aller who continues to take step forwards.
(23:17):
I think that on a talent basis that that backfield
at Penn State is one of the best in the
defense is nasty as well. So with this one being
in Happy Valley, you know, I think there's a little
bit of that initial sticker shock when you see, you know,
a ranked Illinois team being underdogs by this margin. But
I think it's with good reason actually, and I do
like the nit new Allons in this spot. It could
(23:38):
get a little bit ugly here for the Aliini.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
John, I'm fascinated by this Oklahoma Auburn game Saturday afternoon
because both these head coaches, Brent Fennables and Hugh Freeze,
legitimately hate their starting quarterbacks. They have both called them
out this week. They've both benched their original starting quarterbacks
to start this season. We have two new guys coming
in to play this week. Oklahoma opened as a two
and a half point favorite. It's such a sense swung
(24:05):
to now they're getting a point on some books. I
think there's a lot of injuries on the Oklahoma side here,
but historically they're undefeated against Auburn, and I just don't
think this Auburn team is quite ready yet to start knocking,
to start, you know, rattling off quality wins against big
time opponents.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
I think that that's, you know, a really fair summation.
On both sides. These are two reeling teams. These are
two teams with coaches whose seats could be getting a
little bit warm here. I mean on Oklahoma side, it
looked great last year. They kind of made me eat
my words a little bit. But then you see Dylan Gabriel,
you know, leave via the transfer portal, and you know
(24:45):
the Oklahoma's just standing there and they're like, oh, no,
we're fine. Jackson Arnold is the guy. No he's not, obviously.
I mean, if you watched any of the Tennessee game
or some of the games before that, you know that
two in game what was ugly, and there were some
other examples in there. So Oklahoma does not have its
quarterback situation figured out. I do think that Michael Hawkins
(25:07):
looked really impressive in that spot against Tennessee. But but
even still, now he's gonna have to go on the
road against Auburn, I'm not completely convinced that he's ready
on his own accord here because Jordan Hare traditionally. I
know that it hasn't necessarily been that way with Hugh Freeze,
but Jordan Air can be a very tough place for
(25:29):
road teams to go in and come away with a win.
And like you alluded to that, there's some injuries in
key spots elsewhere for this Oklahoma team. So the line
has moved a decent bit. I liked it a little
bit more when Auburn was a home dog, but I
think either way, whatever you can get Auburn at at
this stage, as long as it's, you know, under three.
(25:51):
I would say I'm comfortable siding with Auburn in this
spot that they do have some impressive talent littered across
the roster. Is not a loaded roster by any means.
But I do think that this is a huge, huge
game for you, Freeze if he wants to take the
temperature down a little bit on his seat there at Auburn.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
We've thrown a lot of games at you.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
What are some spots that you've maybe already got tickets
and pocket on.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
So I do like USC against the number. I think
they're giving fourteen and a half at most places, maybe
up to fifteen at others. But Wisconsin, given the quarterback situation,
I know that we just kind of saw what a
similar game script could look like and how that goes
for USC. With Michigan basically not or deciding to just
(26:42):
simply not throw the football and still being able to
come away with the win. I think Wisconsin's going to
have to do something similar, but I don't think that
they have the Jimmies and Joe's to do it the
same way that Michigan did. So it's on the road,
it's at USC. I think that this could be another
long day and what's kind of quickly developing into a
long season for the Badgers. So USC have been definitely
(27:05):
more impressed by than I expected coming into this season.
That I think their defense, you know, outside of playing
against Michigan, is solid enough to slow an offense like Wisconsin,
that I think they do have legitimate firepower on offense
that you know, they start to build that lead early,
you know, this could really backslide for the Badgers. And
(27:26):
then I think my other favorite bet that this week
is going to have to be Washington State Boise State.
That that's gonna be a really fun way to cap
off the night on Saturday. We have you know, a
nice big total there of sixty four and a half
and I could see the over coming in on that one.
But Boise State is favored by six and a half.
(27:48):
And they do have the best player in this game
period in Ashton gent and he's one of the best
players in the country, definitely the best running back in
the country. It's nice to have a running back of
his quality, you know, kind of headlining college football right now.
But Wazoo has looked really good so far. I mean,
they win the Apple Cup, they've rattled off some other
(28:10):
impressive performances. This guy, John Mattier, their first year starting quarterback,
has looked like the real deal in my opinion, So
I like Wazoo covering this number on the road. It's
a six and a half, which makes you a little
bit queasy, you know, compared to the seven that it
was earlier this week. But I think there's a non
zero chance that the Wazuo goes in and gets the
win because they as long as they can just kind
(28:30):
of keep a lid on gent, you know, and the
lid being off is six touchdowns like Gen t rattled
off in the season opener. I think that this ends
up being an okay night for the Koks.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
John.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Are we not putting enough respect on UCF and Gus
Milza on this season? Three and zero they take on Colorado.
Big Noon is Big three thirty this week for those
on your who plan on viewing that game. But I
feel like the Knights couldn't put up fifty points in
their sleep if they want to in this game against
this team. Now, there are some remnants of the hurricane.
(29:04):
I think that will still be there in Orlando on Saturday,
but I don't think Colorado has a chance of stopping
this offense right.
Speaker 6 (29:14):
You know, I think the physicality of UCF is really
going to be an issue for this Colorado team. We
saw Colorado kind of struggle with the physicality against North
North Dakota State earlier on this season, and you know,
certainly against Nebraska as well. So we two guys to
keep an eye on on the UCF side, Quarterback kJ Jefferson.
(29:35):
You might remember him from Arkansas, so especially when when
Arkansas was rolling it. You know, it's kind of a
long time ago at this point, but he's still you know,
a load to bring down. And you know, this is
a UCF offense that that really leans on the run.
I think they run it almost as much as like
Service academies at this point. And the guy that's kind
(29:56):
of the tip of the spear is R. J. Harvey,
and he's been an absolute wagon so far, and I
think that he's going to be, you know, someone that
is giving that defense for Colorado trouble all day. And
if there is you know, you know, weather complications in
this game, I think that plays even further into UCS
hands because they're not really that interested in throwing the
football and that's basically the lifeblood of the Colorado offense.
(30:19):
So if Shader, Sanders and company are kind of off
kilter as a result of the elements this, this would
get really bad for Colorado.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Actually, all right, Bellas, let's get to the people's parlay. John,
certainly you know how this works. We will each give
a favorite play. We played the straights, we put them
all together, full unit play on the parlay as well.
Historically you have fared well not on the parlay, but
that's not your fault.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
The people's parlay with you.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
It's zero to four, but you personally are three and
one on the plays that you've given us. So Dan
and I we need to step it up a bit here.
What do you have start us off?
Speaker 6 (30:55):
All right, we are We're gonna go with what I
was just talking about a moment to go. I think
we are backing, or no, I don't think we are.
We're back in the kupes. John Mittier and the Washington
State Cougars catching six and a half at Boise State.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
All right, Dan, all right, I'm heading out west, two guys,
and I'm going to make us sweat this out until
the last game of the night. Oregon Ucla. Let's go
over fifty five points in this one. I think Oregon
figured some stuff out a few weeks ago against Oregon State.
Now they get to play another former Pac twelve opponent
in their first Big Ten game. If you're still following
along here, that's because Oregon and UCLA are now Big
(31:33):
Ten opponents as they play this weekend. But historically when
these two schools match up on the grid iron, it
is points galore. They have put up over sixty five
their last three meetings against each other. They have gone
over fifty five and eight out of their last nine
dating back to twenty ten, and I don't think that's
going to be any different this weekend. I think Oregon
will threaten this fifty five on their own, as this
(31:54):
UCLA defense has just given up thirty plus to just
about everybody. So yeah, over fifty five. I've on DraftKings
minus one oh eight. There's fifty fives and a half's
all over the place too, So that's my pick.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
So listen, Narrative Street.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Within my household, I would love to give you Syracuse
to cover the like thirty points against holy Cross because
I went to Ques, my wife went to holy Cross.
I would just like that story. It would be a
fun way to help us cash at Barlay. I'm not
going to do it, though, because I'm not sure it's
really the smart play a lot. It's a lot of points. Well, yeah,
we're legal, I guess that's true. No, Massachusetts, use your
(32:28):
other books.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
You're off.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Use your your bet on lines and your your Bravadas
or whatever the heck? Uh so, oh that's right, Yeah,
go to New Hampshire. Drive over the border. Look, I'm
going back and forth between two games, and I'm just
hoping I'm not picking the wrong one.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
I am between.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
I've chosen, but I am just to let the people
know maybe you like one better than another. I have
been between Nebraska to cover against Purdue and North Texas
to cover against Tulsa, and I just can't pull myself
away from Nebraska. I think it's a really solid spot.
I think Purdue is just right to underwhelm in this game. Obviously,
(33:11):
we saw what happened the hands of Dan's irish there.
That's sixty six to seven game Purdue out gained by
more than four hundred yards. You know, the Beavers took
it to him by more than two scores. They just
they haven't even been close in a lot of these
I like the spot for Nebraska. I've I was wrong
(33:32):
about them last week back.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
In Rayola or Riola.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
I'm gonna try again and hope for the best here
I again decision made. Brian's doing the math while we're
crunching numbers. I would love your thought, though, John, on
these two plays, Nebraska to cover, North Texas to cover.
Speaker 6 (33:51):
I saw the same things that you did. When it
came to Purdue. That was one of the more abysmal
performances I've ever seen a power for team it forth.
What happened with them against Notre Dame that was just
a joke. So I don't think the Purdue has fixed that.
You know, they got shredded on the ground again by
Oregon State. Nebraska doesn't push the run game.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Quite as hard.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
It's not as big of a part of its DNA
as those other two schools, but they can go to
it and they do have. You know some guys that
Dowdell in particular, that you know they're comfortable feeding twenty
plus carries too. I think that this is a really
nice spot for him, and I think that you know,
right Rola in his own right is going to have
success anytime they call on him to drop back. So Nebraska,
(34:37):
I think, is gonna have very little resistance that they're
facing offensively.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
All right, beautiful, you can text me about North Texas.
Brian has crunched the numbers. We have plus six h
two on DraftKings for everything that we gave you or Dan,
and I'll leave it up to you entirely. We could
go to ESPN at plus six twelve, but that means
over fifty five and a half.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Sure, I mean we need fifty six regardless we lose
the push. But yeah, let's take it.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
All right, very good ESPN bet plus six twelve your
college football people's parlay for Saturday. We will load everything.
If you have trouble following that, we'll load everything into
the action app our gambler account. It is the gambler
with AK that is the handle. But great pleasure, John
beIN a while, obviously, love having you back.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Let's make it a winner this weekend.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
All right, boys, I'm looking forward to cashing this one
this weekend. Thanks again for having me on and I'll
catch you guys down the road.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
All right, sounds great. When we come back Bank roll
repairs for your football weekend.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
It's time for your bank roll repair, Howard, my today's collision.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Just got a text from our buddy prop Bomb says, well,
we got Aubrey and Lamb going over on their field goals.
Remind me never to play a QB rushyards prop again
complete luck.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Wow. Yeah, it's tough. It's tough, and we we need
Dallas to keep adding on here.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
I was just saying to Brian, I just I can't
believe they never opened it up. And I know that
the Giants have had the ball the vast majority of
this game and that plays into it.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
But five field goals, it's just.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Yeah, not that four and a half and five and
a half makes a difference here, folks. We got how
much times left in this game? Five minutes? Yeah, all right,
so there's time. We just need to force a turnover
here or not, Like, just turn them over on downs,
don't let them have a long, methodical drive. Come back
and get some more points here, cowboys. Also, I could
(36:33):
really use some rushing yards out of Devin Singletary, Like please,
how is he only a twenty two?
Speaker 4 (36:39):
All right?
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Anyway, let's get to the bank roll repairs. We can
check in on our bank roll repairs for the show
as well in a bit. But let's get to these
What do you have for the football weekend?
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Brian? Go ahead, all right.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
We're gonna stick with the going after the commander's number
one receivers tactic that's been working the last three weeks.
So Marvin Harrison fifty plus yards and Sunday Night at
the Sunday Night game over forty and a half points
between the Bills and the Ravens both all six of
their games combined, they've gone over forty points. So put
those two together minus one oh nine on ESPN bet.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Nice Dan, all right, I'm heading to college again with
mine this week, guys. Let's go to the big ten.
Let's take three home favorites, all pretty heavily favored here
by about a touchdown or more Michigan USC. Indiana, all
on the money line. Put those together plus one all
four on FanDuel. Every other book this is minus money,
so play it on FanDuel.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
All right, I am going to have something that is
minus money barely minus one ten on ESPN bet. That
is the best place as of right now one in
college to hopefully get us to Sunday in the NFL,
it begins and these are all money line plays. It
begins with Eastern Michigan a heavy favorite in its matchup
against Kent State. But just we don't really have time
(37:58):
for a lot of explanation, but just know that this
is a very lopsided matchup. And then in the NFL, Yes,
I am taking the Niners on the money line. Could
get cute with an alternate spread, I won't. And the
Texans at home against the Jaguars, I just I have
no faith whatsoever in Trevor Lawrence, and my faith has
(38:18):
been waning a little bit in CJ. Stroud, but I
expect to bounce back out of him. So again, Eastern
Michigan Houston, San Francisco minus one to ten.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
That was your bankroll repair powered by today's Collision with
locations involved in Chelsea, Stoneham and Dan Very's check them
out at today's Collision dot Com. The Gambler starts. Now
here's Adam Kaufman.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
Our number two of the Gambler.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
With Adam Kaufman here on WRKO, as we have our
I in the waning minutes of the Cowboys and Giants
and rooting for some very particular things personally and for
the show, and right now they are seeing I FM
Molik Neighbors was in fact in bounds on a catch
and held the ball and survived the ground, all of it.
This all makes a difference in a lot of different ways.
(39:07):
But we'll stay focused. Task in hand, dear. We're going
to go game by game across the NFL preview everything
that is to come in this football weekend from Sunday
into of course another doubleheader on Monday night football. And
to help us do so, our good friend who we
haven't had on in a while. We've missed him, Jonathan
(39:27):
von Tobel on Twitter at me JBT A host over
at Vison John, how are you, Bud.
Speaker 5 (39:35):
I'm good. I'm sweating out at the end of this
game just like you, and I'm sure your tired audience here.
Lead five with the Cowboys, so sitting right on the number.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Yeah, see, we were on the five and a half
and so we're sort of running out of hope there,
but also chasing some player props at the moment that
are annoyingly close and would swing a lot. It's it's
I just I can't believe. I mean, I I am
(40:05):
beside myself that that Devin Single I need a first
down here out of the giants, but I can't believe
that the well, I guess it didn't happen because the
cowboys of the ball, but that Singletary couldn't get to
twenty five rushing yards and I had that as part
of a parlay builder, and it's like, it's it's it's
gonna be the only thing that fails me. And he's
sitting at twenty four and it's gonna sing.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
Yeah, that's well. I think he had what about like
about ten fifteen minutes ago, Well, he had a big
run that was called back from holding that.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
I mean, the flags have.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
Been ridiculous in this game, so that is a very
frustrating outcome.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
Oh my god, I just people don't want to hear
my problems.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
But good lord, all right, let's let's uh before we
get into the game by game here, John is the
has has the the JVM died. We haven't seen the
John von models since probably midway through last year.
Speaker 5 (40:51):
Yeah, pretty much. Uh man, it's hard, and it was
really hard to kind of put that thing together and
then give him some changes and responsibilities over at the
Vegas ads and Information Network, felt like I could keep
up with the way that I should so instead of
putting a little effort into something that should get a
lot more effort, decided to put it to the side
until maybe my role changes or I get some more
time to tinker with it like I should have to
(41:11):
because the model up keep was insane.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Well, let's start our preview of Sunday here and again
we'll touch on every game over the next little while
that you're here with us, So we appreciate that Saints
Falcons we have a two and a half point spread.
The home team, Falcons are the favored ones total of
forty two in this one. I would think Derek Carr
is going to have time to operate, not too much resistance.
Favorable matchup for Alvin Kamara, who's coming off a down
(41:35):
week but faces a bottom ten rush defense here. Not
a great matchup necessarily at least on the ground for
Jean Robinson as the Saints our top ten against the run.
Speaker 5 (41:44):
What's your expectation, Yeah, I think what worries me here
a little bit? I mean both teams are pretty beat up, right,
Like that's kind of the issue. We saw that Reeves
was beat up and added to the injury report, with
Alma Kamara's on the injury report of into a long
list of guys for both teams the most part, but
the keys are for Atlanta's defensive line. On Thursday, both
offensive linemen and Caleb McGarry Jake Matthews were dnps. So
(42:08):
it's a hard game, I think to really jump in
and get involved in. I think if you're going to
play anything, I think you're feeling somewhat comfortable if you
want to go under this total, it's already moved quite
a bit, so maybe you see if you can get
some high scores for a side. I think, given the
impact of the injuries, I'd probably lean toward New Orleans
only because we know that Kirk Cousins is not too mobile,
and if both his offensive linemen are going to be
(42:28):
out here in this matchup, Saints are gonna be able
to pressure him, get after him. He's not gonna be
able to escape that pressure. Could be the offensive performance
for the Falcons. So given the injuries and the fact
that looks less likely that the two offensive linemen are
playing for Atlanta, I'd go with the New Orland Saints.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
John Steelers and Colts. Pittsburgh one of the surprise teams
so far to start this season. At three and oh,
they're looking to go four and oh here against Indy.
They're laying a point and a half here on the road.
I'm back in the Steelers this week, and according to Viiesen,
they're seventy five percent of the handle. Seventy eight percent
of the bets are also on Pittsburgh to cover. Personally,
I just think Anthony Richardson is just not a good
quarterback and the Steelers defense should be all do give
(43:05):
him fits the entire day. But how do you feel?
Speaker 5 (43:08):
So this is I think going to be a contest
leg for me, and we're going to go head to
head here. Now. It does depend as well on the
injury report because Smith, they're right tackle for the Indianapolis Colts,
was banged up. Think he returned to practice today. On defense,
Quity Pay Kenny Moore both pretty injured. So we'll see
if those two are going to be available if they play.
I'll be in on Indy because I do think that
(43:28):
we're at a point where this Steelers number from empower
rating perspective is pretty high. I mean, you go back
a couple of weeks ago, they were laying this same
number in Denver against the Broncos, and I think this
Colts team is better than that Broncos team. And I
think as well when you look at Indy, I think
what's forgotten about the Colts is in week what, Anthony
Richardson had three touchdowns and two hundred and sixty eight
total the yard against the Houston Texans. There is some
(43:49):
upside here. Jonathan Taylor's run for over one hundred yards
in each of the last two games, and the Steelers
haven't played many good offenses, and I think they're going
to be a very good defense, but I don't know
to what level. And I think this Colts offensive line
ran by PFF standards number one in the league right now,
and a team that can really run with some ferocity
is going to give this Steelers team but some trouble.
So I'm kind of buying low on Indianapolis. I'm for
(44:10):
sure there's going to be a contest leg with a
super contest out here in Vegas and millions. I'm going
to use the Colts as a contest leg for sure.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
The oh to three Jaguars at the two and one
Texans divisional battle and really a must win for Jacksonville,
the team that I think has been overrated by a
lot of people coming into the year. And you know,
I've always felt I've just I've never been a Trevor
Lawrence guy. And he is now zero to eight straight
up over his last eight starts, one and seven against
the spread, looks worse by the week, and you can
(44:39):
point to a bad offensive line. I get it, but
he is not the second coming like so many people
believed he was for a long time.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
Meanwhile, CJ.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
Stroud not so great last time out, but you know,
good quarterbacks tend to respond to losses, and he is
five and two against the spread after a loss in
his young career. We have the hometown Texans favored by
six and a hal happier where do you go?
Speaker 5 (45:02):
So I think I kind of agree with the market
in that, like they're at least not letting this get
to that full seven. So like if it got to
the full seven, it would be a play for me
on Jacksonville. I mean, you talk about overrated. The Texans
also have failed to cover a spread so far this year, right,
And you know I mentioned, for example, like if you
think that Anthony Richardson and the Colts are bad. Well,
they actually scored and they were very explosive against Houston, Texan.
(45:24):
So that's not really a great sign if you're somebody
who maybe thinks that this Colts team is not particularly great.
Now again, I think it's a little bit better. But
it's a good line of demarcation, right, Like, the best
the Colts have looked is against this Houston team. And
they're also kind of beat up. And we know they
added Nico Collins to the injury report today. Joe Mixon
Damian Pierce, I think both neither of them practiced today either,
(45:44):
So Cam Anchors again should be there. Tank Dell is
beat up too, so this could be a pretty thin
wide receiver corps. Their centers were banged up last couple
of weeks. So I at the very least agree with
the thought of, like, hey, let's not put this on
this key number. If we're sitting at six, just because
of the number, I'd lean a little bit toward Houston.
I mean, I get it. Also, Jacks might have a
key member their secondary out there, a team that likes
to play heavy man coverage. It's not a game that
(46:06):
I love, but I at least agree with the Marcus
hesitancy to allow this to get to that full seven
and for an actual bet, I'll be sitting back waiting
to see it by Sunday we get that full seven,
because if it is, I'll be taking a little piece
of Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
So it's got to happen at some point for the Bengals, right, guys, Right,
it's got to happen here. At some point. They're laying
four and a half on the road John at Carolina.
We got the Andy Dalton revenge game factor, I guess
if you want to throw that in there. But the
public seems to think that this is the week Cincinnati
finally gets it done here. Seventy eight percent of the
handle on this game is for the Bengals to cover
the four and a half. Does Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase
(46:38):
T Higgins, those guys, do they finally get their first
win here this week?
Speaker 5 (46:42):
I mean I think so. So I keep talking about
it this week that that this game is like the
am I really going to do this game?
Speaker 4 (46:48):
Right?
Speaker 5 (46:48):
Which is am I going to lay this for the
Cincinnati Bengals? Because you know, the underrated part about their
loss to Washington is the fact that they had thirty
first downs, four hundred and thirty six total yards, the
average seven point three yards per play. Offensively, they were great,
Like they were everything you wanted. And t Higgins is
back and healthy. Jamar Chase looked a lot better in
that game. So these two guys are gonna start to
(47:09):
get even more comfortable. And again against the Panthers defense
that the metrics do point out, we're not particularly good.
And I also think, look, I'm out here in Las
Vegas a cover you know, I covered the team just
a little bit part time for ESPN Las Vegas out
here and help them out there. Like I don't think
this Raiders defense is good. I think this Raiders defense
got to play a lot of backup quarterbacks last year,
and some of the worst offenses in the National Football
(47:29):
League played at the cent to what they really are.
This is a Raiders defense. Each of the last two
weeks has been absolutely vote raised by the Ravens, even
though the Ravens blew it, and then of course the Panthers.
I don't know, I want to put too much stock
into the fact that the Panthers did what they did
against the Raiders by the way. Sorry, I got distracted.
A very thick miss kick for the Dallas Cowboys. There
were twenty seconds left. Awesome, So I give.
Speaker 4 (47:51):
God you're ahead of me on the feed.
Speaker 6 (47:54):
Yes, I am like that.
Speaker 5 (47:57):
That would have been very great. So the Cowboys are
gonna miss that. They're gonna up by five to thirty
seconds left in the cage. Giants are gonna get the ball.
Speaker 4 (48:03):
This is just a perfect summation of my freaking night.
Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (48:09):
So anyway, I apologize for the in distracted, but yes,
give me the Bengals here. I think I'm gonna use
them in contest as well.
Speaker 4 (48:14):
At this numbers, What an asshat this guy is.
Speaker 2 (48:19):
Geez, all right, one more before you know what. No,
let's just break, we'll come back.
Speaker 5 (48:24):
Well, collect ourselves.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Yeah, I can't. I can't listen to anything else for
the next two minutes.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
We're gonna break, We're gonna cleanse, we're gonna comeback. We're
gonna talk Vikings Packers with Jonathan von Tobel. We got
Jonathan von Soebel here from Vson. Stupid Cowboys just finished
off their five point win. If you were on the
five and you have to push like you know, JVT here.
Congrats if you were on the four and a half
(48:51):
early before the line moved. Congrats if you're on the
five and a half like us and so many others.
I'm sure who thought the Cowboys were gonna blow door tonight.
Thanks for nothing, Brandon Aubrey, who hit a sixty yard
field goal earlier and is damn near automatic this year
and can't get a chip shot in the final twenty
seconds to put your team up by eight and they
(49:13):
win by five. And apologies to Brian because he's just
listening to me rant and rave in his ear and
wisely not saying anything. But all the parlays that I
and look, I get it. You should play straits. You
shouldn't parlay. I understand it is not a good way
to gamble. If you're just out to make money, play
the straits. That is the smart way to do it.
But the number of parlays that just missed, you know,
(49:38):
by one leg here, one leg, They're all in different ways.
A parlay could have cashed if I had two hundred
and twenty five yards out of dak to twenty one
twenty five rushing yards out of Singletary, he has twenty
four forty rushing receiving combined for Singletary, he has thirty
eight Ceedee Lamb one hundred receiving ninety eight after he
(49:59):
had eighty in the opening half. How about twenty five
in each half for both Lamb and Neighbors. Nope, ZD
couldn't cooperate eighty five in the opening half, lands at
ninety eight, Like this wasn't even all you know, well,
the Reds were just off.
Speaker 4 (50:14):
This was one of those nights that I want to
put my head in a freaking blender.
Speaker 5 (50:17):
John, I feel you, So I'll see on Sunday, right,
so we can bet all these games again.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
Oh god, I hate gambling. I hate gambling.
Speaker 5 (50:29):
I yeah, it's I was going the same way on
Sunday when I was watching the Ravens almost blow that
game against the Cowboys. I turned to a Dustin Sweetls
to my co host we were on the air at
the time, and I said, if the Ravens blow this game,
I might take this headset off and just leave. I
can't do this. Luckily they didn't, but I feel you.
This game is ridiculous and these numbers are tight. It's
(50:50):
always floating around these numbers every time.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
I don't know what's in the water out there where
they're making these numbers, but they're sharp, all right, Vikings Packers,
I have not cleann the Packers two and one. We
think Jordan Love is going to come back, but who
needs them? Malik Willis went to and oh the three
and oh Sam Darnold led Vikings on the other side.
Huge matchup. Obviously, it's a division battle, and I mean
(51:14):
we here have a Super Bowl future on the Packers.
So thanks to Willis for you know, keeping that alive
during Love's absence. Obviously, Packers are three point favorites in
this one. Much like the you know, Andy Dalton returned
to Cincinnati, we got revenge narrative here with Aaron Jones
returning to Face's old team at Lambeau for the first time.
(51:35):
How do you handicap this one?
Speaker 5 (51:38):
Yeah, I mean, I guess it's really just dependent on
Jordan Love. He had another limited practice today. It seems
very likely that he's on his way back. And I'll
say this, like right now, if you tell me Jordan
Love is playing, I think this number should be like
three at the very least, and maybe even like three
and a half, like under a field goal that even
aduced one feels pretty cheap for Green Bay if Love's
(51:58):
going to be out there. I know he didn't look
particularly great in the Brazil game. Right committed a couple
turnover with his plays pff, Paxcrae wasn't particularly awesome. Looked
like he kind of struggled around a little bit. But
I think from what he is worth and his value
to a point spread and what we seem for his
Bikings team, like, look, they look great, Floors has done
a great job for the defense, Ive Darnoald looks fantastic.
So they're coming off their best performance. Market I think
(52:20):
is water down their power rating pretty strongly to the
point where maybe you get a little bit of value
coming against this Biking team. But it all comes back
to love. If you're telling me a love us playing,
which it seems like it, I think under a field
goal seems pretty cheap for this Packer squad.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
You want to talk about games, they want to make
you put your head in a blender, throw your headset off.
How about having to San Francisco forty nine or minus
six and a half ticket last weekend when the Rams
Matthew Stafford to to out well, come storming back to
just beat San Francisco outright, San Francisco, or excuse me,
Los Angeles is going to try to make it two
in a row this weekend. John, They're getting a field
(52:54):
goal on the road at Chicago. The total in this
one's dropped down to forty and a half. Maybe we
have a little bit of a the remnants of that
hurricane still lingering around in the Illinois area on Sunday afternoon.
But who do you like here?
Speaker 5 (53:06):
So I think I'm going to be using Chicago here
as a play. I think when you look at it
from the Rams standpoint, I mean you mentioned it. Look,
I had an in game wager on the Rams in
that game at seven and a half, and they got
away with them. Man, we were watching that one pretty closely.
And when you look at what they did in that
matchup to get back in there and what had to
go right for them, And then you look at statistically,
(53:27):
what's been going on with this team hasn't been great.
They come into this game thirty first in the NFL
and defensive EPA p play just ahead of the Washington
Commanders defensive success rate. They're near the bottom of the
league as well too, like this is a team that
really has some issues and they've lost quite a few
guys as we know, like obviously Aaron Donald not on
the team. The back end has been beat up with injuries.
(53:48):
We know the offensive line and what's been going on
in front of Stanford or Stafford. I think when you
look at every single metric in that game against San Francisco,
the only takeaway is that they got away with murder
and so now are you going to be able to
do that for a second straight game? And I just
don't think that's the case. And for Chicago to give
them some credit for what they've been able to do
early on by ep standers, they are the second best
defense in the NFL. I think they're going to be
(54:08):
able to get after Stafford and reviews. This offensive line
and Caleb Williams has looked a little bit more comfortable.
It's a little bit more comfortable againt the Colts. Now
again you could say Colt defense not particularly great. They're
floating around average fifteams and EPA for play. But he
did what he was supposed to do. And it's not
like this defense, as we just established, isn't any great shakes.
So I think that this Bears is gonna be pretty live.
I think for sure it's one of these games that
(54:28):
I came into the week thinking I would like the
Rams because of what they did against San Francisco. But
you rewatch the game, you look at the statistics, you
kind of break it down. They put me on Chicago
and the Bears, for sure, I think are going to
be one of the five legs in the contest card
for me.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Broncos Jets. This game is at the Metal Lands. Jets
seven and a half point favorites. Bone Nicks obviously torched
the Buccaneers on the way to his first career win,
just like everybody expected. No, he was awful his first
couple of starts, but give it to him, he was
great last time out. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers looked like his
old MVP self against the Patriots. Now he's going to
face a defense that sacks Baker Mayfield seven times last week,
(55:05):
so clearly Rogers will be under pressure. It's not a
good situation for Garrett Wilson, assuming he's going to just
be blanketed by Patrick Surtan. So how do we look
at this one? Is there a potential look ahead spot?
Here for the Jets with a trip to London against
the Vikings on deck.
Speaker 5 (55:23):
I tend to not think that professional teams fall into
traps of book ahead spots. I reserve those a little
bit more for the college ranks, and so I don't
think they're going to be overlooking this Broncos team. And
I also think this is a game that I had
like the least feel for. But I will say this,
I don't want to take too much away from what
Denver did last week against Tampa Bay because Tampa Bay
(55:45):
was missing Beata Bay Elijah Tansey, Anteline Woodfield and one
of their starting tackles, ursueing offensive linemen and lu Gottaky
like they were really beat up in that game, and
the Broncos did what they were supposed to do on
both ends of the ball. But you lose a key
defensive piece, obviously to an injury. How about finishing a
game on a tour in ACL That's kind of crazy.
And I don't want to do too much with that
because I know that Bonix has not looked great through
(56:05):
the first couple of weeks outside of that game against
a really beat up Tampa Bay squad, and like really
quietly you know, EPA wise, the Jets come into this game,
they're like six than the NFL. They've actually kind of
gotten better on a week to week basis. When Rogers looked,
I think pretty comfortable on that Thursday night, plus extra
time to get ready for me, I think it would
be Jets or nothing.
Speaker 4 (56:25):
Here.
Speaker 5 (56:25):
It's not a game I'm gonna bet, not going to
use on a contest, But if you're telling me pick
a side, it would be the New York Jets.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
So the Philadelphia Eagles, especially their wide receiver wide receiver
corps guys, is really banged up here this week. Both
aj Brown and DeVonta Smith have not practiced at all
this week. But Philly they're one and a half point favorites,
even two point favorites on some books. John As they
head into Tampa Bay to try to get revenge on
the Bucks, the team that knocked them out of the
playoffs last year. The total in this one has dropped
(56:53):
down to forty two and a half on FanDuel. It
opened up at forty seven. Who do you like here?
Speaker 5 (57:00):
And don't forget Lane Johnson also in concussion protocol right,
So yeah, you have this offensive line that's feed up.
I always like to mention too, because we've got the
interview with Super Bowl week. He's a great kid, he's
a great guy. Covey, a third wide receiver for this team,
broke a shoulder. He's on ir so he's done too.
So you could be out three wide receivers. You're starting
off one of your starting offensive lineman. This team is
really beat up, so I'm kind of surprised the market
(57:22):
is just sitting here now. I do think, going back
to what we just talked about with Denver, a lot
of this has to do with the buccaneers own injuries, right,
two starting defensive tackles, your best defensive player in winfield.
But we're starting to see the market slowly kind of
come off with two, so when in a hash to
pop it up. So for me, I think the way
to handle this is, for sure, you're using Tampa Bay
as a teaser leg I think that makes a ton
of sense, right, teasing them up, getting those twos, getting
(57:43):
them up to eight, pairing them up with another spot
whatever you want it like Cleveland for example. If you
want to tease that up to eight in the game
with a total of thirty seven, that makes a ton
of sense teasing the Chargers. Going the Chiefs down against
the Chargers, I think it's being better leg there, but
I think that's what I'm going to handle.
Speaker 6 (57:57):
The Bucks.
Speaker 5 (57:57):
They're going to be a teaser leg for me because
of their own injury concerns. I'm kind of worried going
all in at two, but I think that that too,
is definitely worth using on a teaser leg with some
pretty strong confidence that they're going to be able to
hang inside of that number.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
So I have no earthly idea where to go between
the Commanders and Cardinals. I really don't. I mean, I
respect the you know, both quarterbacks obviously, and I think
there are a lot of similarities between the two Jayden
Daniels and Kyler Murray Daniels. I think the only reason
where we really have pause in this one, with Washington
getting three and a half points is because of what
(58:32):
the rookie just did against the Bengals twenty one of
twenty three in that upset win, including you know, fifty
five and twenty seven yard touchdowns to Terry McLaurin.
Speaker 4 (58:42):
He was awesome.
Speaker 2 (58:43):
Cardinals secondary is not great, and so Daniel's going to
be able to work again It's a good position for
Kyler Murray as well, because the Commander's secondary sucks. So
you know where do we go? And once again we
have another just revenge narrative storyline as obviously Commander's offensive coordinator,
Cliff Kingsbury used to be the head coach of the Cardinals.
Speaker 5 (59:05):
Yeah, so I think as this number starts to get cheaper,
I for sure have the Cardinals circle. Then if it
gets to like that full three, because it's like three
and a half pretty much everywhere shaded to the favorite side.
If you're gonna give me three minus one ten, I'll
be laying it with the Cardinals and you you've hit
on a lot of the important points. But like, go
back to that game against again the Bengals. I listed
(59:26):
you guys off all those stats when we were talking
about the Panthers game. They were terrible. They were awful.
Over thirty first downs, the seven point two yards per play.
This Commander's team does not looked good. Daniel Jones looked
competent against this defense as well. I think this team
has a lot of problems defensively. And you as a team, right,
we know the stat haven't punted in those two straight games.
That's just not sustainable, Like at some point you're going
(59:47):
to have to be forced to punt, and I think
that that's this is the game where that happens. And look,
I'm pretty high on the Cardinals. I have I have
this team over the win total. I've beten him somewhere
frequently throughout the year. I think there I have a
future on the to win a Super Bowl. I think
this team's actually somewhat good. I'm a little bummed out
in the tray. Mcrising can catch a protocol, so we'll see.
He's gonna be out there. But for me, all signs
(01:00:08):
go are at three minus one ten. If it gets there,
it's gonna be Arizona for me, because I think the
market is really gung ho about this Washington squad and
I get it. But if you're just gonna have me
lay three with the Cardinals against that defense, I'll take that.
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
So time to talk about the Patriots, guys, the past
it is. We got to do it at some point.
I think now is a good time. Pats are getting
ten and a half on the road in San Francisco.
They've had ten days to prepare for this one. John
the Niners they're banged up as well as a lot
of teams are already at this point this season. Javon
Hargrave has not practiced yet this season. They're big defensive tackle,
(01:00:41):
they're in the middle. Kittle and Deebo are limited at practice.
They didn't play a week ago. I mean, we've talked
a lot this week about how these big dogs are
covered and not only covering, but they're outright winning here.
I mean, I don't think the Patriots are gonna outright
win this game, but can they hang around enough and
cover here in San Francisco, Yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (01:01:01):
Don't think so. Like you know, so we go back to,
like you were on that forty nine Ers game right
against the Rams, and you know, watching that game and
looking at the outcome statistically of that contest, like that
was the game that they're at. The forty nine Ers
should have gone out there won and covered. I mean,
you've gained them for twenty five to two ninety six
average six and a half yards per play. You were
six and eleven on third downs, you converted your loan
(01:01:21):
fourth down, get twenty five total first downs. Like that
was a game that if I just showed you that
box score, He's like, oh, what they went by like
seven ten points whatever it was, No, they lost. So
I think that this is a team that is maybe
in a spot to kind of get right against a
pretty bad Patriots club, Like they have not really looked
great ever since that win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Even
in that game when you go back and watch it,
(01:01:42):
you know, scored a touchdown I think on their second drive,
first drive after that, really didn't do that much against Cincinnati.
It was much more about the Bengals than anything else.
I think we all kind of understand it at this point.
I think for me, this team's going to be able
to get after the quarterback here. That offensive line is
hsimal for the Patriots. It's going to be a pretty
ugly day. I think could actually be forty nine ers
or up in here. This has one of those kind
of get right, blood letting spots all over, like the
(01:02:04):
forty nine are come out, jump on top and not
really let them go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
All Right, we still have five games to get to
with Jonathan von Tobell, plus a People's parlay for your
NFL weekend, So why don't we step aside here. We'll
have more time on the other side, and some interesting
afternoon games for Sunday when we return. All Right, we
got a handful more NFL games to get to with
Vsin's Jonathan von Tobell, and then it is off to
(01:02:31):
the people's parlay streets, see if we can maybe hit
one of these things.
Speaker 4 (01:02:37):
Been a little bit with a guest.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
All right, Browns and Raiders. That's next on our docket here.
And this is another one that's a little tough to read,
mostly because I don't trust either of these teams, and
I think the spread reflects that one and a half
point favorites the Raiders. Right there, John, in your backyard.
We have a total of thirty seven in this one,
one of the lowest on the board for the weekend.
(01:03:00):
Tennessee and Miami just a smidge lower at thirty six
and a half Monday night.
Speaker 4 (01:03:04):
Where do you go here?
Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
Yeah, one of those totals on the board. Obviously, I
think the most comfortable play for me here would be
over the total. Max Crosby is beat up, did not
practice again, has an ankle injury, so it looks like
he might be in danger of missing this game. We
obviously know how bad this offensive line has been and
has been beat up. For the Cleveland Browns, we know
that Deshaun Watson is awful both on the field and
(01:03:27):
off the field, so I understand why this total is
so low. But given how beat up that the defense
is starting to get. For the Raiders, Crosby being injured,
they just lost their starting safety and fs, I don't
think they're particularly good. Again, going back to what we
talked about earlier in the program, which was I think
it was a team that went got their egos and
their reputation inflated by playing a lot of bad offenses
(01:03:48):
last year, and we've seen the last two games they
are not great. I think this actually might lend itself
to a little bit more of a higher scoring game,
and for Cleveland defensively, I don't know if you guys
saw the footage of Miles Garrett trying to get in
that golf cart after the game. This dude is beat up.
We saw the report last week that he had those
two foot injuries and he aggravated them in the game
or he seev being the loss to the Giants, I
think this actually lends itself to a little bit more
(01:04:09):
of a higher scoring affair than the market would think so.
I think over is probably decided, and I would lead
toward the Raiders as a play only because they do trust.
As much as it pains me to say this, I
think I trust their quarterback more than I trust the Browns,
which is saying something.
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
So Chiefs and Chargers, John Kansas City laying a full
seven points here on the road in LA. The total
has dipped all the way down to thirty nine and
a half at a lot of books here justin Herbert's
been limited in practice both days so far this week.
We don't know if he's going to play. But when
these two teams match up in Los Angeles, the Chargers
do find a way to keep it close here. Can
(01:04:43):
they do that again this week?
Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
I don't know, man, I don't know what to think
is I don't think the Chargers are good. I mean
this is what I really came around and as the
season came along, But you really evaluated the roster, You
look at a team that really was going to have
some trouble and then you just see it, like you
mentioned just all of the absences, than the injuries and
the nature of this team, like it's just terrible. Slater
and Joe All which, by the way, Joe All has
(01:05:06):
the best nickname in football. Now. I don't know if
you guys know this control all elite, absolutely tremendous, right, So,
like you have those two guys obviously, Herbert, we're talking
about Derwin James and the suspension Joey Bosa aggravating the
hip injury.
Speaker 6 (01:05:21):
Like, I just don't this team.
Speaker 5 (01:05:23):
All said that, It's not like the Chiefs have blown
anybody away at this point. You know, you can probably
look at this and go due. This team could be
only three coming into this game if they're actually called
for penalties and whatnot. So I think, for me, you
go out this. I trust that the Chiefs are going
to win this game. That's not saying much as a
seven point favorite. I think you use them as a teaser,
Like I think that's what you're most comfortable with. I
think you tease them down, you get to those team numbers,
(01:05:44):
you pair them up with a team like the Bucks
like we talked about earlier, or if you want to
tease up the Browns that are sitting on too, that
makes some sense. But I think that's the only way
to attach this because I don't want to put my
money on Chargers plus seven with all of those injuries
and absences. But I don't want to lay seven with
the chief team that has been pretty underwhelming through three
weeks and whose quarterback, by the way, is in the
midst of if it held a career high in terms
(01:06:06):
of turnover with the play rate and a career low
and average up the target, it does not really look
great for Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
Sunday Night Football features the Bills and Ravens on paper
and in name reputation great matchup. You know, Dan here
is sitting here with his Great Sports Almanac feeling real
great about this matchup because we have two preseason futures
involving these teams, one being a plus eight p fifty
(01:06:33):
MVP ticket on Josh Allen and the other being a
under ten and a half wins for the Baltimore Ravens.
So a few weeks in, Dan's feeling great, the show
is feeling great. We'll see where things go. But as
far as this game goes, Baltimore the hometown team minus
two and a half. You talked to earlier about how
they almost gave one away again last week. That came
(01:06:54):
on the heels of giving one away against the Raiders
the week before.
Speaker 4 (01:06:58):
I don't trust him.
Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
I just continue to be proven wrong by the Bills
and what Josh Allen is capable of doing with this
no name offense. So what's the right way to play
this one?
Speaker 5 (01:07:09):
So I think it's Baltimore. It's not anything strong that
I feel yet, but it's again one of those that
you tell me pick aside. I'm going with the Ravens
only because, like, look, I came into this year thinking
that I kind of want to play against this Bill
team and then see what's going on, and they were
the Cardinals. Cardinals covered in that matchup, and then you
kind of see as it went along, right well, the
Dolphins stink and they got handled even with two tungue
(01:07:31):
by low out there. The Jags got absolutely steamboat or
steam races by him. And the Jags aren't particularly great,
Like I still don't know if this team has been
great like tested yet, and I think this Ravens team
is going to be able to do that. They're going
to be able to go after an interior for defense
that is missing a linebacker and Milano, an interior that
has two safeties that I think are not particularly great still,
(01:07:52):
and you know, DeMar Hamlin picked off a PASSLA on
Monday Night that was hand delivered, but Lawrenson that loss
as an awful row. I still think I want to
test my theory that this Bills team is not as
good as we think, and I think that the schedule
has just broken very nicely for them and going back
to be somewhat there to Baltimore in the game that
they we're talking about almost blowing that to the Cowboys,
(01:08:13):
they did. Their defense was the culprit, and that does
worry you right in this game because they give up
a long touchdown drive, then they give up an onside kick,
then they give up another long touchdown drive. Like their
offense was off the field for so long that they
didn't really get a chance to play with that lead
as one might expect. So I think for me, it
would be Baltimore or nothing to test the theory that's
still this Bills team has yet to be tested. Has
(01:08:34):
some questions. That wide receiver has questions. That's safety, but
haven't faced an opponent that can do it, and I
think the Ravens can so.
Speaker 3 (01:08:40):
Normally, guys, I am anti Monday night football doubleheader, but
this week, thank god, we have one because I cannot
wait to turn off this first game on Monday night,
Titans Dolphins Miami laying a point at home. John, I mean,
I just want to turn it off because I bought
whoever's playing quarterback in this game stinks.
Speaker 5 (01:08:58):
Yes, well, and I actually I think Mike McDaniel deserves
a ton of criticism here. We watched Matt LeFlore take
in Malik Willis after being on the team for what
ten days, whatever it was, scheme up two brilliant game
plans for the kid to get them two victories and
put him in the best position to win. And then
we watched Mike mc ganiel he can't do that. And
(01:09:19):
that's a guy that on his roster and sky with
Thompson that he picked right he wanted him as the backup,
and he can't do anything with this group. So we'll
see if it's actually gonna be Thompson. Whatever it is,
this is going to be a nightmare. Like you mentioned,
the totals what it is for a reason, and will
Levis just cannot stop making those boneheaded, just explosive mistakes.
We know it happened at Week one to pick six
(01:09:40):
against the Bears. We know happened at week two and
he was like horizontal to the ground and tried to
pitch it. We three with another pick six against the
Green Bay Packers. I just don't trust it. So lesser
of two evils give me Miami, but I'm not doing
anything with it personally for real.
Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
What should be the better game Seahawks and Lions, and.
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Surprisingly Detroit is three and Ozero to the under this
year not what you think of when you think of
the Lions in that offense. Of course, Sam Laporta dealing
with the ankle injury, wouldn't be surprised if he misses
this game, but no official word there yet.
Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
Seahawks looking to go to four, and oh, what do
you think?
Speaker 5 (01:10:15):
So I like the Lions a lot in this spot,
I think you go back to and I feel like
maybe I'm just trying to get some revenge for last
week when I had the Dolphins as part of my
contest because I trusted Miketando. But I think that when
you watched that game, when they built that seventeen to
three lead, they did jack with it the rest of
the game, and Gino Smith got absolutely crushed throughout that game.
(01:10:37):
He was getting pressured he was getting moved off of
the spot, and you would think like, Okay, it's one game,
why would that matter. Well, it's of course following the
fact that they put George stan On. I are like,
this is a team that is missing arguably his best
offensive lineman, and that looked like a group that was
really missing. And now, yes, Davenport is going to be
injured and out for the rest of the year. Team
for the Lions, in Hudgington leads the league in pressures.
They're going to be able to get after him. They're
(01:10:58):
going to be able to test this defensive line in
terms of what has looked like at times a somewhat
poor run defense up front. I think the Lions are
going to be able to come in here, run the
ball down their throat on the other side, be able
to get after Gino Smith, pressure him, get after him.
And you mentioned the number. I mean, we saw this
thing open what like four and a half, and I'll
get all the way down to this three and a half.
I'll lay all three and a half of those points
(01:11:19):
with Detroit. I think they're in a good spot here
to get this win and cover against the Seahawks team
that I think is somewhat fraudulent.
Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
All right, guys, time to get to the people's parlay.
We all know how this works, especially people listening, because
we already did one earlier this show for the college
football weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:11:32):
JVT. Listen, when you do we do.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
That is what we have learned, because you are two
and four on official plays that you have given us,
and the people's parlay with you is also two and four.
So let's see what we can do this weekend here.
Speaker 4 (01:11:47):
What do you have?
Speaker 5 (01:11:48):
Give me the Lions, just everything, every point that I've made.
I think that this number is cheap. I think the
market's overvaluing the Seahawks team. I understand the injuries of
the Lions are going through, but I think they can
overcome it. I think it's a great matchup four at
home on a Monday night against the Seahawks.
Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
All right, Dan, all.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Right, horrible betting logic here, But the Bengals have to
get a win. They need a big wind. I'm gonna
lay the four and a half with Cincinnati. It has
to happen this week, right, So give me the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
It's funny to say I almost put them just on
the money line as part of my bank row repair,
and I just I couldn't go against Andy Dalton in
the revenge game.
Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
But I will root for you and root for the show,
and obviously root for the Bengals since we've got a
nice future on them as well, if they can get
their heads out of their collective butts. I'm gonna go
to Narrative Street and knock on old Aaron Jones door
right here. I am going over on jones rush yards.
It is a modest line. You can get. Fifty six
(01:12:44):
and a half's out there still. It is, of course,
as I mentioned earlier, his return to Green Bay with
his new Minnesota team and going against a team that
has already been torched by Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor
this season. So this is not outlandish thinking. And we're
playing the Narrative. It's a good matchup as well. So
you put those three plays together and looks like we
(01:13:06):
have a bevy of options that Brian has cooked up
for us.
Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
But ah, god, what do we think?
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Maybe if we're willing to go up to fifty nine
and a half, we have plus six point twenty nine
on ESPN if we want to do the fifty six
and a half, we have five eighty one at MGM.
I realize this is my play, but anyone have any opinions?
Speaker 3 (01:13:32):
No, it's all you go with your gut.
Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Yeah, man, all right, Well, considering what freaking Devin Singletary
did to me today when I needed one yard, I'm
gonna go with my gut. My gut says the five
to eighty one, So we'll go MGM on that and
again lines to cover Bengals, to cover the over for
Aaron Jones rush Yards. That is your people's parlay for
your NFL weekend. Jonathan von Tobili is on Twitter at
(01:13:57):
me JVT of course, popular host over at V and
a good friend of this show.
Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
John. Always enjoy when you hop on.
Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
Man, popular host. Thank you very much.
Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
Absolutely no, I mean no one even asked me to
say that.
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
It's just true. It's fun to listen to you. All right, buddy,
we'll talk to you soon.
Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
Have a good eight guys, Thank good luck.
Speaker 4 (01:14:18):
We'll come on back with some survivor thoughts for week four.
Thanks to our guests.
Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
Of course, we had, most recently Jonathan von Tolbel from
Veson Before that John mckechney wrote a wire a couple
of people's parlays, loads, straights, bankroll repairs. Three of those
that we gave out everything will be listed shortly on
the action app. The Gambler with Ak is the handle.
If you're looking for reasoning on the plays or on
(01:14:47):
a million other would be plays that we talked about.
Make sure you check out the podcast The Gambler with
Adam Kaufman wherever you get your podcasts. I was just
Dan doing a little couple of minute therapy session with
Brian up my gambling night, so I didn't even have
to pay him for it. That's on the Company times,
So thank you iHeart for taking care of that and
(01:15:08):
Brian for being a friendly ear. Let's let's get into
some survivor talk, guys. You know, if anyone's actually alive
in their survivor pool. I just entered a you know,
my survivor pool ended three weeks in, not only with
me eliminated, everybody else except the winner. So I am
now in a second chance survivor pool. We've reset the
(01:15:28):
board circus Survivor for anyone that pays attention to that.
That started with fourteen two hundred and sixty six entries,
and it is down to six forty two. Ninety five
percent of the board is out after three weeks of
the NFL season. This contest was one thousand dollars to enter,
(01:15:50):
Dan and Brian. The implied value per entry now, because
some people do sell them, the implied value per entry
is over twenty two thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
But of course first place if you win is fourteen million.
Speaker 3 (01:16:04):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:16:04):
So you know people will be hanging on, presumably for
at least a little while longer. Do you go anywhere
other than the Niners? I mean, I would have considered
the Cowboys tonight, and obviously if you had done that,
you'd already be in and waiting for next week. But
for games that remain, do you go anywhere other than
San Francisco?
Speaker 3 (01:16:23):
Well, Cincinnati, that's the other one, got to know one
of them.
Speaker 4 (01:16:27):
I mean, it should be. I agree that it should be.
Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
And obviously anybody that is stole in has not used
Cincinnati yet. Correct, So because they're owing three.
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Cincinnati by itself has knocked off more than fifty percent
of the.
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
Board, I'm sure, and they could probably take out some
more this week if they don't do their job. But yeah,
San Francisco, Cincinnati, and I guess maybe the Jets if
you haven't used them, those would be the three.
Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Thanks to our guest Todan to Brian. Enjoy your betting weekend.
