Speaker 1 (00:01):
W r ky O presens Boston's only nightly sports betting show,
The Gambler with Adam Kaufman, Now from nine till midnight,
your home to talk spreads, promps, totals and more. Hey, Doc,
and what's the harm of bringing back a little info
in the future. I maybe we can be a place
covering backs. The Gambler starts now.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
All I have to do is bet on the winner
and I'll never lose.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Kears Adam Kaufman, Hey, Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Everybody? Welcome into a Tuesday edition of The Gambler with
Adam Kaufman. I am not Adam Kaufman. I'm Dan Watkins.
Adam is off tonight. He will be back with us tomorrow.
I'll be taking you through the night here as we
weave our way through what is a relatively dry night
in the world of sports. But don't worry, there is
plenty to talk about. Brian Budd is here on the
(00:51):
board as always, producing the program. Brian, how is the weekend?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
It's good to be thankful for the four Nations for
giving us sports to watch this weekend, and excited for Thursday,
which I know we're going to talk a lot about
later and probably throughout the show.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Oh yeah, I cannot wait for this one Thursday night,
USA Canada Championship gold medal, however you want to refer
to it in the Four Nations. As we are less
than forty eight hours away from puck dropping that one.
I got some thoughts here that we'll get to on
that game here in the opening segment in just a
few minutes. But let's just kind of just talk about
what we're gonna talk about tonight. That's definitely one way
(01:23):
to phrase that. So we're gonna start off with some
college basketball tonight here in this hour. We got a
couple of late games going on out wes UCLA Minnesota
is one of those games. Got a bunch that just
tipped off right here at nine o'clock, or are about
to tip off in the next couple of minutes. Cody
Mitchell is going to join us to talk about that.
We're gonna break down some of those games live look
ins on a couple of them as well, and we'll
(01:45):
also be touching on a few college basketball futures too
here in this opening segment. As we are getting closer
and closer to the month of March, March madness, conference tournaments,
all that kind of stuff. So I do think there
is still some value here on some of these conference
races as we get to the final few weeks of
the regular season. I mean, some of them, like the
SEC and Auburn are are pretty much under wraps and
(02:08):
those are pretty much locked in for the regular season
portion of that in those futures, but you know, could
someone like Auburn be on an upset alert as we
get towards tournament time. Definitely something to look at. Cody's
gonna join us and do that next hour. Well, if
you're a baseball fan, if you're a Boston sports fan,
you've definitely been paying attention because the Red Sox Brian
(02:29):
all of a sudden have generated just an absurd amount
of buzz, like it's two thousand and four, early two
thousands all over again. The Red Sox are like the
lead story in town right now, which is insane to
say on February eighteenth, because of all this drama that
is now going on with the Alex Bregman signing, and
I just think it's fantastic, absolutely just loving just that
(02:53):
the Red Sox have like become a conversation topic again.
And I think it's great that we're gonna have a
real baseball season with stuff to to dig in on
all season long, more so than just the team stinking,
which is what they've done the past few years. They've
been a pretty much a five hundred ball club here
the last three seasons, so higher expectations this year. I
would say that the playoffs is an expectation for sure.
(03:14):
The the sports books would tell you that as well.
So we'll get into some Red Sox thoughts at the
top of the next hour, and then we'll kind of
lead us into a broader baseball future segment or two
with Adam Rosenberg, who will join us. He has been
putting out baseball futures on both his Twitter page and
his other one with his Babies who Bet page as well.
(03:35):
So we're gonna get into all that with Adam Rosenberg,
who's got some just just insane looks for the season
and and just he is how he feels about the
whole Rafael Dever situation. He's gonna give us his thoughts
on that too, So looking forward to talking about that
with Rosenberg, And then we're gonna get to the eleven
o'clock hour, where we're gonna bring on Andrew mckinness, who
is a Canadian. He is from Montreal. He's flying down
(03:57):
here for the final on Thursday night, So we're to
get the Canadian take of this USA Canada game and
how he's feeling, if they're as jazzed up and hyped
up for this game on Thursday night as we are
here in the States. How this is just taking over
the sports world here over the past week. How I
think it's just been an absolute blessing. And then finally
Ryan McIntyre Moneayline Max is gonna come back and join us.
(04:18):
He's been on with us a few times this season,
and we're gonna preview the Wednesday slate in college basketball. So, Brian,
last week, when I got the notification that I'd be
hosting tonight, I was like, oh cool, all right, obviously,
yes I'm gonna host, of course. And then I'm like,
so let's let's let's take a look. You know what's
going on next Tuesday night. And I'm looking, and I'm
(04:40):
looking and not go to the NHL. Nope, they're still
off for the four Nations. It's not even a tournament night.
They have the final round robin games on Monday. Nothing
until Thursday, so nothing in the NHL. Go to the NBA, Nope,
we're on the All Star break because those guys need
even more time off there in the NBA, So no
end games tonight either. So I'm starting to say, oh,
(05:02):
I think Adam might have just like took a look
at the calendar to be like, yep, I'm out to
see you guys on Wednesday, as there's one Wednesday NBA
game tomorrow night between the Hornets and the Lakers. Probably
not gonna see Lebron in that one. If we have
some time at the end of the show, maybe we'll
give some thoughts there on that as well. Could be
finally a night that Luka Dancic shows up and score
some points in this game. He's only got thirty points
(05:22):
as a Los Angeles Laker here through two games, and
then college basketball a pretty decent slate tonight. Been some
interesting action here. Yukon comes rallying back to beat Villanova
at home. Michigan State beating Perdue was a big one
in the Big Ten, but just a couple of games
in the Lake Games, so it's in the late window
rather that is, so it's kind of like this weird
(05:42):
sports desert here tonight. But like I said, we will
talk our way through it and navigate through it and
find some best bets here as we wrap up this
Tuesday night. So, as I mentioned, the Red Sox very
interesting situation going on with Rafael Devers down there in
Fort Myers. Will he be the starting third baseman, will
he be the starting DH? Where's he going to play
(06:04):
this season? Alex Bregman, Where's he going to play this season?
All that kind of stuff We will get on there ultimately.
I think this is a first world problem, Brian. I
don't know how you feel, but it just feels to
me like this is a very good problem to have,
something that the Red Sox have not had here in
the past few years, which is that they have kind
of an abundance of good players right now, in real
major league players, and we're not gonna be seeing the
(06:26):
likes of like a David Hamilton playing the majority of
the time at second base and that kind of stuff.
So I don't know about how you feel, but I
feel like this is a very good problem for the
Red Side.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
I feel like the last few years especially, it's like like,
who who's going to fill out all these spots. Now,
it's like we have too many guys. I don't know
much about the second basement they have coming up. This
seems to be causing the potentially causing the problem. I
do think their best lineup is with Bregman at second base,
cast Us at first, and Yoshida is a DH. But
(06:55):
who knows if all those guys will be here by
the time the season comes. But I said, I think
it's problem to have. And obviously Trevor Story will eventually
probably get hurt at some point too, so they can
move Bregman over to shortstop as well when that happens.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah, that's that certainly could be a possibility. And if
you looked at his first few years here in Boston,
that has happened in each season. But you don't want
to get the guy in trouble for something he hasn't
done yet. Christian Campbell is that second baseman. He skyrocketed
through the miners last season, and yeah, he is kind
of the X factor in all this. And I think
if the Red Sox get their way and what they
want to happen is that this kid forces their hand
(07:28):
and that they have to put him in the lineup
at second base, which would put Bregman at third, and
then Devers is just gonna have to suck it up
and play DH and be the designated hitter. Excuse me.
So we'll get to more Red Sox stuff, more baseball
stuff in the second hour. I do want to talk
about this hockey game here for a minute coming up.
I don't know about you, Brian, but like I've been
(07:48):
just like having this feeling that we're heading for like
a twenty ten situation again, and like you look at
the lines right now, it's a pick them everywhere except
for Caesars. I think has has the US is a
very very slight favorite at minus one fifteen compared to
Canada minus one oh five. Everywhere else, this game is
a true pickham. The way the injuries, though, are piling
(08:10):
up here for Team USA has me very nervous. Charlie McAvoy,
who was fantastic Saturday night, set the tone really swung
that game. After Canada had the early lead there on
the Coom McDavid goal, he then like he trucked McDavid,
which set off that sequence leading to a goal for
the US. But Charlie was admitted to mass General last night.
The Bruins putting out a statement today confirming everything to
(08:31):
undergo testing related to an upper body injury sustained during
the Four Nations face off and it's currently being evaluated
by Boston Bruins head team physician doctor Peter Asniz and
he will not play for Team USA and the Four
Nations Face Off Championship game Thursday night at TD Garden.
The Bruins will provide further updates on his conditions and
(08:51):
status as soon as they become available. So Charlie McAvoy
is out Thursday night. I think that's a huge loss
for the for Team USA. Defensively, Mac was just the
total wrecking ball Saturday night. The Kachuck brothers are banged up.
It sounds like they're going to be good to go,
but you don't know at what level they're going to
be playing. You know, of course, the tenacity's going to
be there, but just how what is their true impact
(09:14):
going to be in this one and just how hurt
are they? I think is gonna be a big and
we'll find out probably pretty early too early on in
this game. And then Austin Matthews, who missed Monday night's game,
against Sweden is expected to play as well. So USA
is a little banged up here where Canada is relatively healthy,
and I think that might tilt this because these two
teams are very, very even. Canada has the top talent,
(09:36):
top end talent and McDavid, McKinnon, mccarr, those guys. Where
Team USA, I feel like the depth has been one
of their strengths and that's really gonna be tested here
tomorrow night because we're gonna get like Jake Sanderson in
the lineup. Quinn Hughes that whole situation. We don't know
anything more any more about that. He is in Vancouver
right now, because I guess the way this thing is
set up is that he can't actually be activated onto
(09:57):
the US roster unless there's another injury. So we'll see
if there's a good old phantom injury coming up in
practice in the next few days. But Brian, as you
said forty eight hours here, how do you feel you
full raw rot Team USA, free bird here we go,
or do you think that Canada might have the edge
here on Thursday night just because of the injuries.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Kind of with do you feels like things are not
trending as crazy as that is for the USA, just
do the injuries. Obviously, Macarr being back for Canada's gonna
be massive. And I think I don't know us winning
on last Saturday night when I just might have woke
up Canada a little bit, and they'll be definitely, I
think they'll be ready to play, and they'll be ready
(10:34):
to take on that physicality.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
In the USA honestly might.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Not be able to play as physical as they did
the other night because they're all banged up and they
all kind of kill themselves for that one game.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Right, And I wonder if I doubt any book has this,
but if I put the over under for fights tomorrow
night at point five, would you take the over of
the under? I would take the under. I don't think
we're going to see any fights.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
I don't imagine it. Maybe if it's like a blowout
situation in there else someone gets pissed off and they
start beating each other up. But I don't see any
fights happening this game.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
No three fights in the first nine second of the game,
which was awesome. That was just like one of those
why you love sports, why we love sports, why it's
just great to be a fan. And that was just
an awesome night of hockey on Saturday, and I hope
we get something close to it, and I think we
will on Thursday here at TD Garden in Boston. So,
like I said the line there, it's a pick them.
The total sitting at five and a half plus money
(11:22):
to the over. I'm sure these game these teams are
going to treat this like a Game seven. And that
could actually also play into a United States advantage too
with Connor hellibucking net, which I do think is the
United States big advantage in this game over Canada is
the goaltending, and that will also lead us to a
potentially different way of how to bet this game Thursday night,
(11:42):
which we'll get into more tonight tomorrow leading into that
game on Thursday as well, kind of something similar that
we talked about leading into the Super Bowl. So we'll
talk more about that later on tonight with Andrew mckinnis
and see how he's feeling about Team Canada Team US
in the Four Nations face off.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
If there are games to be played, there are bets
to be made. I'll bet you twenty bucks. I can
get you gambling before the end of the day. No way,
I'll give you three to one, Eyes five to one
Ino on Heren, get ahead of line movement, find in
game value, and hear the latest insights from your favorite
industry experts.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
This is my gambling.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
If I win, we all win.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Tell your smart speaker to play that Gambler with Adam
Kaufman on w RKO on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
All right, welcome back to the Gambler with Adam Kaufman.
Adam is out tonight on Dan Watkins. Brian but is
here as well, producing the program as he always does
each night. We just gave out Minnesota plus eleven and
a half as a group play, group play. Excuse me
for this Tuesday night here, late night. That game is
getting going at ten thirty out in Los Angeles, so
(12:56):
still plenty of time to lock that in and ride
with us if you so choose. But now it's time
to turn our attention to the Red Sox here. And
it's been a wild past seven days. As I feel
like Brian, the buzz has gone from zero to like
one hundred and ten in seven days here with the Socks,
(13:16):
starting with the Alex Bregman signing the three year, one
hundred and twenty million dollar contract that they give to
Alex Bregman. Craig Breslo gets his guy, Alex Korra gets
his guy from Houston to come in here. And the question,
you know, was where where Where's he gonna play? Is
he gonna play third? Blit third base, where he was
a Gold Glove Award winner last season? Is he gonna
shift over to second to appease Raphael Devers? And well,
(13:39):
we still don't know yet because it's only February eighteenth,
but the Red Sox are leaving us, you know, no
shortages of stuff to talk about here in the month
of February, in this just sports desert, as I was
calling it here this week here as we wait for
the Four Nations Final, the Celtics to get back going
on Thursday, as well NFL combined next week. So I think,
(14:02):
on one hand, this is just great. It's great to
have Red Sox drama again in the month of February.
It feels like we've turned the clock back twenty years
and that people now have this real buzz and high expectations.
I feel like for this team, you bring in Garrett Crochet,
you bring in Walker Buehller, Alex Bregman, obviously the socks.
You know, they made some moves in the offseason to
(14:24):
bolster this team. Pitching should be a strength with Lucas
Gielito coming back, hoping that Tanner how takes that next step.
But there could be a little bit of maybe maybe
an internal riff. Maybe. I say maybe because ultimately, Brian,
I don't know how you feel, but I do feel
like this thing is going to blow over and the
guys are going to be fine with it. I think
we're going to I don't think this is going to
(14:46):
be an issue in a couple of months from now.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Yeah, they get over a month to figure this out
for the start of the season, so I'm not too worried,
and honestly, I'll take the drama makes the Red Sox fun.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Again, absolutely, So let's like kind of turn this back
to Monday. Yesterday, Red Sox have their first full squad
workout pitchers and catchers. Reported a week ago, Raphaeld Devers
is inside by himself, you know, doing some work because
he's still rehaving that shoulder injury that just was nagging
all season last year. Missed you know, I think over
(15:17):
twenty games a year ago. Alex Bregman is taking ground
balls at third base, which then you know, kind of
just you know, sets a little bit of an alarm
off with some people that oh, okay, what's going on here? Rafaeld.
Devers then heads to what used to be the picnic
tables to talk and where he pretty much just puts
his foot down, saying that I am the third baseman.
It's my position, it's what I was promised when I
(15:38):
signed that massive extension, and that I don't want to
be the full time DH. I don't want to go
to first base. I am the third baseman. So Jillian mcmilliams, McMillian,
Nick Williams, excuse me. In the Boston Globe did a
great job just you know, writing all this out here.
I'm just reading from his article on the Globe. It
was basically he votes, he puts it it waseemingly a
(16:00):
version of around the horn horn would Devers entertain a
move to first quote? No, what about designated hitter? Quote No,
third base is my position, Dever said, through team, through
the team translator, I don't know what their plans are.
Like I know we had a conversation. I made it
clear what my desires were. So Craig Breslow, the chief
baseball officer, and Alex cor the manager, spoke to Devers
(16:22):
last week. Devers admits that he said and he says
that he was shocked by the suggestion.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
Quote.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I'm someone that believes in people's word, said Devers. I
take it to heart, and yet it's very surprising that
they would suggest that. I've known that this is a business.
I know that each side is going to do what's
best for them, what's most comfortable for them. I don't
think this is the right way to do business. So
on one hand, Brian, I do like the fact that
Ralphaeld Devers has a lot of pride, that he is
(16:48):
competitive and that he wants he thinks that this is
his position it's mine. But on the other hand, too,
I hope he uses this as fuel and then it's
a bit of a wake up call that, you know,
he's never been in the best of shape. As one
of our coworkers put it out in the hallway before
we came on air tonight, he is a little round.
That is definitely one way to put Raphaeld Devers. He's
(17:10):
a bigger fella, but he's got to get in better
shape here because he's been and I think that will
that's only going to help him because he has been
one of the worst third if not the worst defensive
third baseman in all of baseball. Here. Yahoo had a
little write up today. Among the seventeen players who spent
at least seven hundred and fifty innings at the hot
(17:30):
corner in twenty twenty four, Devers ranked sixteenth, and stat
Casts fielding run value. Bregman, who won his first Goal
Glove award last season at third base, was sixth overall
and second in the American League. And in terms of
defensive run saved, which is a modern metric, advanced metric,
whatever you want to call it, Devers was a minus
six last season, that's according to Fangrafts, where Bregman was
(17:51):
a plus six. So just a huge swing there when
it comes to their defensive value between these two. So yesterday,
Alex then goes and talks after Devers spoke and basically
throws Hein Bloom under the bus, saying, you know, Bloom
is in Saint Louis now. He's the one that signed
Devers to the contract, He's the one that made those promises.
He's not here anymore. So those promises are kind of
(18:13):
out the window. I didn't love that from Cora, but
I do like though, how he followed it up yesterday saying,
decisions are going to be made here about roster construction
and what we're going to do in the future. We're
going to make sure that we have the best team
possible out there. Devers has a lot of pride, we
know that, and he feels like he's a third baseman.
He's going to work out as a third baseman, and
then we're gonna make the decision accordingly. So they're still
gonna give Raphael Devers the chance to win the job
(18:35):
at third base. What happens from there, we'll see what happens.
As we were talking at the start of the show,
Christian Campbell, I think is a big X factor in this.
If that kid can hit major league pitching, he's going
to factor and probably be the second basement and slide
Alex bregmanover.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
So then.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Alex Cora reiterates that today, you know, while also calling
out Devers for some stuff as well, that he needs
to get better at in the field if he wants
to be in the field every day. And we pulled
that for you too, so Brian, if you could play
Core Cup one, it's a.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
Big locks, right, and we're gonna take the best twenty
six guys to Texas and Raffi again, see Raffie Devers
is one of the best players that we.
Speaker 7 (19:11):
Have things he can do to kind of help the
case to reclaim that third base jobbers are more.
Speaker 6 (19:15):
Just about how like I said, you know, we will
decide when we decide. But he's actually he's there's a
few things that you know, Flow has recognized that he
needs to do better. We always talk about going to
his left. That's something that is very important for him,
you know, for to keep evolving as a third baseman.
Speaker 5 (19:37):
The arm.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
We got to get him right.
Speaker 6 (19:39):
You know, he's accurate, you know, actually look at the numbers.
I don't know, probably you guys know that in October
he's only made one error, only one, you know, and
I don't know how many serious he's played, you know,
So he's locked in right in that aspect. But and
the other one. Alex actually touched something with him when
they were taking grounds a few days ago about the
(20:00):
mechanics and if he's like, try to do this, this
is going to help you. And he actually executed. So
it's fun to watch man. You know, the communication between
them is good, and we'll take care of all that
stuff whenever we have to.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
So that was Alex Cora, and I think this is
going to play into one of Alex Corra's strength as
a manager, and that's managing egos and massaging these egos
with these guys, Like, finally, the Red Sox have some
legit major league players here and that Korra is not
basically babysitting a bunch of kids that should be in
Triple A. You got real big league talent this year.
I think the Red Sox are going to have much
better season. Alex core is gonna be a big part
(20:37):
of that with the way he's going to manage this club,
keeping these guys happy. We've seen him do it in
the past, whether it was twenty twenty one in that lineup,
you know, with Kyle Schwarber and where his position was
going to be, or all the way back in twenty
eighteen when the Red Sox put in one of the
best years in team history. Also, and in case you
were worried about any rift in the clubhouse between Bregman
and Endeavor's, Cora shut down that really quickly, saying, no,
(21:00):
these guys are getting along. It's a competitive thing.
Speaker 5 (21:02):
Here.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
You can find that clip online. I'm not going to
play it for you tonight, but the other clip I
do want to play though, is Thank God, Brian, we
got Tristan Cassis' thoughts on all this. Tristan Costas, who
apparently thinks he's some sort of general manager, whether this
is like his fantasy baseball team or all that. But
they asked Tristan Cassis, you know, how would he fill
up the fill out the lineup card? And this is
what Costas had to say.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
You feel like that's something you have to maybe navigate
in the clubhouse being kind of pregnant or I mean,
I know you're a younger guy comparatively, but how you
maybe navigate that and how approach that in the clubhouse?
Speaker 7 (21:35):
I think, uh, I think it's I think it's Rappie
Devers's position. I think he's he's the third baseman and
at that point, that's where it stands, and he's done
it for you know, a really long time now, and
I think he's only getting better at that position. I
think his defense is getting better every single year. We
(21:58):
don't know what the future holds, but we know holds
rapid divers. So I think he's got to play defense.
It's going to keep him athletic, and he's gonna hit
because of you know, him being at third base. He
doesn't know any other position, he doesn't want to play
any other position, and he's going to fight for it,
even if it's with any of the younger, younger guys,
(22:20):
any new guy. I mean, I think he's the best
third basem in the league. I wouldn't taken them. I
wouldn't take anybody over him. So I think he should
play the third base.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
Yeah, so you think Bragman should play second.
Speaker 7 (22:32):
I think Bregman should play second base.
Speaker 5 (22:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (22:35):
I think he's going to make the transition. Well, I
think he's athletic enough to. And I think Trevor you know,
is going to play an awesome short stop.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
This guy. Man, every time this kid opens his mouth,
it's just awk. Dude, Please just stop. Whether it was
the ghost swings thing he was talking about last year
when he was on the broadcast for a Sunday night game,
or you know how he felt like he was getting
stabbed in his rehab. I just think this he's a
big headache for Alex core and I don't think he
helped things today. But luckily Alex Bregman, who had you know,
(23:05):
the Red Sox latest acquisition, who has come here really
to be the adult in the room. And I think
he's doing just that. He's it feels very similar to
the Drew Holiday move for the Celtics, Brian, where this
guy knows how to win. He's gonna come and come
in here be you know, be step into a leadership
role and get these guys on the right track here.
And he talked to Chris Catillo today of Mass Live
(23:27):
saying that I think everybody here believes in their abilities,
you know, when he's talking about Raffie Devers. I think
all of us believe that if we put together a
good effort this season, we have a really good chance
of being a winning baseball team. I can only talk
for myself, but I'll play wherever helps the team win.
So that's the second or third time now that Bregman
say said that. He said that in his opening press
conference on Sunday. Adult in the Room. I think they're
(23:49):
gonna be fine. I think this is all gonna blow over,
and I think it's It's really gonna come down to
that Christian Campbell kid, and if he makes the team,
it's going to force their hand what they do. If
Campbell can't hit big league pay ching in the spring,
then Raffie Devers is going to be a third base
on opening Day. That's how I feel like this is
going to play out the Red Sox when it comes
to gambling. Here their win total eighty five plus wins
on DraftKings, you can find that at minus one fifteen
(24:12):
ninety plus wins for the Socks. You can find a
plus two to ten on DK, plus one seventy five
at FanDuel. And then Raffi Devers right now, if you
think this is going to motivate him, thirty plus home
runs is his line at minus one thirteen on FANDEL.
That's minus two hundred on DraftKings by the way, guys,
so some big time value on FanDuel to be the
MVP is thirty to one home run leader, fifty five
to one RBI leader, nineteen to one. So some interesting
(24:36):
lines there for Rafael Devers. And that's going to take
us into some MLB futures talk. And Brian, I know
I cut you short here. If you want to just
hit on a couple of the big time acquisitions in
Major League Baseball through this offseason. Obviously we had won
Sodo go to the Mets, Alex Bregman to the Red Sox.
But what were some of the other big ones here
is we got to get reacclimated to baseball.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
The m and the Yankees made a ton of moves,
obviously losing Sotos, they signed Max Free to a mega deal.
They traded for Cody Bellinger and Devin Williams, and they
also signed the corpse of Paul Goldschmid. We'll see how
the games plays this year. The Dodgers spent the gazillion
dollars again. They signed Blake Smell, resigned ti Oscar Hernandez.
That Japanese pitchers Tosaki, they signed him, and Tanners, Scott's
(25:18):
supposed to be the best bullpen arm and free toency
this year. Yeah, you kind of hit the big ones.
Kyle Tucker got traded at the Cubs, and Corbyn Burns
signed with Arizona. So those are the big ones.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
The Astros are interesting, man Like, a lot of people
are still really high on them. Eighty seven and a half,
it's their win total. Maybe it's all because of their pitching,
but that lineup is not the same as it was.
I know they got Alvarez, they got al Twove, but
like they lose Bregman and Tucker. Those are two pretty
big losses there. So it'll be interesting to see how
you want to bet the Houston Astros and now was
the team that got up to a really slow star
(25:50):
last year and we were able to get him at
like plus two hundred or whatever it was to win
the AL West. So Adam Rosenberg from Ller is going
to join us in the next segment. The next couple
of segments, we're in head around the Major League Baseball,
get his thoughts on the Red Sox, how he's looking
at betting the Red Sox. Is he high on this team?
Is he high on Ralphiel Devers? Does he think he's
got a monster year coming? We'll find all of that
(26:10):
out when we come back to Stick Around. Welcome back
to the Gambler with Adam Kaufman. Kaufman's out tonight. I'm
Dan Watkins. Adam will be back tomorrow, but we're about
to be joined by a different Adam, one that joins
us quite frequently during baseball season with spring training ramping
up the Red Sox, you know, creating some headlines here.
(26:32):
Raffi Devers thrown a little bit of a temper tantrum.
Tristan Cassis adding his opinion on the whole situation. Alex Bregman,
being the adult in the room, I thought it'd be
a great time to bring in Adam Rosenberg at Hey
Rosenberg on Twitter. He's from outlier rhythm like I am
as well. He just some stuff on picket too. He's
got his page babies who bet where he is just
giving out tons and tons and tons of MLB futures
(26:55):
here as spring training games start at the end of
this week. Adam, what's up man? Welcome back? Are you
done celebrating the Eagles or is that that party still
going on?
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Personally, I'm done because I you know, I came home
to getting that, you know, part of that quademic or
whatever that's going around the state and everywhere where. Everybody's
getting sick. It's right. I don't know if you're like,
I'm the only person who managed to get like flu
bookended by a trip to Broad Street with the Eagles.
I got it twice, but no, man, I look you
(27:26):
know me, I'm really sad to talk about spalling. You
and I were texting this afternoon a couple of things,
and now that I've lived in Boston for five years,
I've always liked this team, and I still like this team,
even though I think this team has a little bit
of a pr problem right now.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
That's for sure. That that is absolutely for sure. Brian
and I were just talking about this last segment, how
like the Red Sox buzz in the last seven days
has gone from like zero to one to ten, and
like they're like helping themselves and not helping themselves at
the same time. I think it's a very first world
problem that they have right now that for like the
(28:01):
first time in like three four years, they actually have
an abundance of like talent and good players on this team.
What's your whole take on this Raphael Dever situation. How
do you think this is going to impact him this
year as he is still kind of rehaving that shoulder.
We got some good prices with Raffi Devers or some
interesting lines. Rather, his home run line is just sitting
(28:21):
at a flat thirty on FanDuel. That's minus one thirteen
to the over thirty plus home runs for him on
DraftKings is minus two hundred, so some big time value there.
On FanDuel, I know you like him to go even
well above that. What's your take on the whole Raffie
Dever situation?
Speaker 5 (28:37):
So, look, this is his team. Bregman wasn't signed for
it to be. This is Raffie's team, and it should
be Raffie's teams, and he took less money to stay
here and he signed that extension. It's his team. But
the reality, the reality situation is where I don't think
Bregman was signed to play third base. Just think as
(29:00):
a PR person watching sports PR, it's one of the
most mismanaged situations that I've ever seen because it is
very very clear they didn't say anything to Raffy about
it and then stand then they allowed the fact. Look
the fact that Krens lost kind of control of his
locker room, and we're not even at spring training games yet,
it's very very problematic. I'm like, I'm looking open up.
(29:23):
You mentioned the constant of Costas is just comment on everything,
but I think some of that is also personally. I
think I think Costain is probably the odd man out here.
I mean, the Red Sox have this wonderful benefit of
her not having been good for a little while. They
now have like you know, they have two of the
top four camp miss prospects that are coming right now,
especially with like you know, with Campbell and and Roman Anthemy.
(29:43):
Roman Anthony could fly to that outfield if you move.
I think ultimately what's gonna happen is the Devers is
gonna play first place. It's gonna be DH because that's
just like how that's gonna work. You know, they talk
about Bregman going the second, but I think Costance is
also talking because it's kind of giving him a little
bit of value and you know, and trying to do
his thing and whatever advice he's getting from his agent
(30:04):
on how to manipulate the market is that. But look,
I I do believe that what's gonna ultimately end up
happening is your opening day is in my opinion, is
probably going to be rappy at DH and and uh
Rabbi Brandon as I call him, being at third bitch.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
So yeah, like I was saying, I do think Christian
Campbell is the X factor here in this entire situation.
If he can hit big league pitching in the spring,
and they think he's ready to go. He's going to
be on that roster opening day at second base, uh,
starting for him, And I think that's going to force
Evs to d h Cossus Like every time he opens
his mouth, like my skin kind of crawls because he
just it's just dude, like just just stop please.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
Like last year, I didn't even touch this thing till
today when he said when he said, none of those
prospects are ready for the majors.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
But what are you talking about, GM Tristan, GM Tristan,
you know, giving out his takes on everything to do
with the Red Sox right now. But yeah, he was
a guy that was in talks rumors anyway with some
of those Mariners pitchers throughout the offseason. I do think
the Red Sox would like to move on from them
from him. I don't. I don't think they really loved
the way he handled his rehab last year with the
broken ribs. So back to back to Devs. I know
(31:15):
you you're thinking, maybe really really big season for him.
What's what's your look when it comes to betting him
for this year?
Speaker 5 (31:22):
So look, I I had the baseline bet I bet
this every year with him, I like, bet he's over
home runs his regular bunks, But at sixty to one
for him to lead the league in home run, I
think it's worth a sprinkle. And you have you know,
like I, well, almost hit thirty and he was, he was,
(31:43):
He was hurt regardless of what he looked like, he
was hurt all of last year. You could tell he
also had virtually no protection around him in that lineup,
and you still almost hit thirty. So let's call it
a thirty home one floor with him. You really need now,
barring the judge and Otani kind of things, you really
(32:04):
need about somewhere between forty seven and fifty two you
could leave the league. So obviously it's a huge elite
from there. But look, he's also a lefty playing in
the best arguable the best ball park for a left
handed hitter, and I think the biggest can send Outing
is that price the same as Mike Trout to leave
the league at home run, and Mike Trout.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Is so physically incapable of playing, they have to move
him to a position where barely anybody hits the ball
so that he does not break and die. So to me,
a sixty to one bet on Raffie Devers, who we
can all agree is that at the very least a
top fifteen hitter in the league from a power perspective,
I think it's worth a shot on that. And like
(32:48):
I'd rather bet a lot of these guys like I
just would rather bet their ceilings on certain things.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Like you and I had talked about a couple of
days earlier that I actually got around too. You had
mentioned you, like, you know, Vlad, I really like that bet.
I like Lad forty to one to leave a month
because it's one of these things where he's fifteen to
one to be MVP Helia's league at home runs. You
can guarantee he's gonna be MVP. So like because if
he Lla's the league at home runs, he probably had
(33:14):
a forty seven one thirty year it's gonna be so
you know, some of these things you just got to
look at who are these guys being priced with? And
if you had to give me, like one reason of
why I like Raffi Devers to leave ing at home
runs is because him being priced the same as Mike
Trout is just objectively wrong.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yeah, and he's moved up the odds boards. Actually a
little bit. He's now a fifty five to one where
trouts dropped the sixty, so that's moved a little bit there.
Now he's tied with Tyler O'Neill, his former teammate, the
king of the solo home run Taoskar.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Yeah, the king of who can't hit anything other than
the left hand and omer so yeah, yeah, it's it's insane,
and they it was always a solo home run too.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
I think he hit like I think he hit like
one twenty for like the first like half of the
season with runners on base. It was it was.
Speaker 5 (33:56):
It was instance reminding me a lot of uh, reminding
me a lot of Pop burl Ye where he had
I think he had pretty home and sixty five RBIs
and I was like, yeah, this tells you everything you
need to know. Nobody was on base when he got
on when he did it.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Some other looks for Devers as well that I do
think are interesting. Now, maybe you think he does have
a career year when it comes to home runs. His
career highs thirty eight. If you think he gets to forty,
you can find that at plus four hundred on DraftKings,
which is also a nice little ticket to have for
yourself RBI's his line is at one hundred minus one
oh five to the over one ten is plus one
sixty and then for him to be the RBI leader
(34:32):
is plus nineteen hundred before we break, Adam, I do
want to get your thoughts just on the Red Sox
in general. I know you're pretty high on this team.
They add Bregman, they add Crochet, they add Walker Bueller
a role as Chap and I hope is off the
team within the first half of the season because I
just think he's terrible at this point. But the Socks
win total here is sitting at eighty five. What do
you like when it comes to the Socks as a team? Uh,
(34:54):
for this season, I like to.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
Just better to make the playoffs. Burnt go off that
decision a little, But I bet the bet the ladder
on that this team team did very well last year
in my opinion, But despite not really how pitching it,
that kind of was bringing it. I mean, I believe,
you know, I know that I saw like Cutter had
a little bit of discomfort, but I believe he's want
to be pitching out of the pen. And that's still
somebody who you know, could actually start, Like I still
(35:18):
think they're going to I'm gonna try it six I
mean everyone's gonna try a six manutes. So that's a
big thing. I would would say everybody had a lot
of these pitching stats for the year. Check the teams
that are doing six man. We know that the Red
Sox are probably six minutes. We know that the Dodgers
are doing a six man when Otani comes back. So
a lot of the Phillies are probably going to do
(35:38):
a six man. A lot of these these teams you
would want to look to unders on some of the
pitching long term, just because of it's gonna be one
extra guy. But look, man, I like this Red I
just like this Red Sox team. I think that I
like the what they gave to those young guys. They
have great they have guys who can play defense. It's
a really good group of young young players on this team.
(36:01):
And like you know, having having I think having Bregman
in there, he's gonna hate it to the exact same
spot on the Monster every single time for a double
and it's gonna happen. Loki like him as a double
leader because of that, Like if you look at his projection.
But like where he hits the ball in his double,
it's gonna be double city for him.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Nope, hang on, Adam, we we just lost you for
a second. We're gonna step aside and take a break here.
We do have to take a break. Brian's yelling at me,
so let's uh, yeah, no worries. We'll come around to
the other side. I'll let you finish that thought on
the Red Sox. I have one other Red Sox bet
it involves Jared Durant that I want your take on. Uh,
and we'll get a thought on that, and then we'll
hit some of these other teams too, So stick around.
We'll be right back, all right, Welcome back Hits the
(36:44):
Gambler with Adam Kaufman. Adam Kaufman is not here, but
Adam Rosenberg is here hanging out with us as we're
talking some baseball futures, talking a little bit about the
Red Sox. Adam, you got kind of cut off there
at the end of the last segment. Uh, let's just
pick it up with this. What do you think the
ceiling is with this Red Sox team?
Speaker 5 (37:01):
Ninety wins and it's plus one seventy five, ninety wins,
which I think is a good bet. I think that
I think that they have they have pitching. It could
win that, you know, could win the pennanty usually so.
But I think that any with the wind total be
in eighty six and a half. I think the ninety
plus one seventy five you can get a little bit
extra money there.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
You can actually find it at plus two. Tenant draftings
right now, I was just like.
Speaker 5 (37:22):
Yeah, even better, Yeah, that would be that's a great bet.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Yeah, just looking at that myself. So I mentioned Jaron Duran,
who is someone who's on arbitration, still playing to try
to get that next contract. What do you think about
Duran to be the runs leader at forty to one?
Speaker 5 (37:38):
Oh, okay, that's the Yeah. It's funny because last year
I liked him as Triple's leader and it didn't end
up betting it. I love that. I do like him
as a look, I like him as a I like
him as the runs. The forty to one is just crazy.
I mean, that was the market I was diving into
the night. He's the shortest, he has me the shortest
odds is for that? Oh right now, let's tell you.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
Let's take a look runs RBIs runs leader Otani at
plus three eighty.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
No, that's I don't know. He had one hundred and
seventy strikeouts last year. I hope people still realize that.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Yeah, and the Soto's right behind him at six fifty.
And then you get to like Carol and Judge and Gunner's.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
Funny, I'd rather Soto and that's a huge way.
Speaker 7 (38:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (38:19):
No, Tannic forty to one. I'm with you on that bet.
That's a good bet. I like that bet a lot.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Very interesting look there, So let's let's kind of bounce
around talk about some of these other teams. Brian was
telling us about all the acquisitions in the offseason, from
Soto to the Mets, to Crochet of the Red Sox
obviously the Dodgers and everything that they added, and how
they're the heavy favorite next freed to the Yankees. But
one that I think is being a little underplayed here.
And I actually wrote this down and then went and
(38:44):
cross reference with some of the plays that you've given
out on your babies. Who bet page. Cincinnati Reds I
think are a very interesting look. With Terry Francona coming
in as the manager. You can get the Reds just
to get to eighty wins. They don't even have to
get above five hundred at plus one thirty. Right now,
what's your outlook on Cincinnati.
Speaker 5 (39:03):
I love Cincinnati this year. I mean the key for
me is that Matt McClain didn't play last year. He
was hurt all season. He in my opinion, this is
probably baseball blast for me. I thought that the rookie
the year where he him, Spear and Ellie were all rookies,
I thought, actually, he was the best rookie of that team.
And I'll die on that sword. He's got a great
(39:24):
combination of speed and power, and at the top of
that lineup, that type of speed is like it's just
a we all know this from watching Tito manage. He
really values on base, high on base percentage, guys that
can manufacture runs and keep things moving. That lineup's kind
of built to do that. It just David Bell is
probably one of the worst possible managers in terms of
(39:45):
how he constructed that lineup. So I'm pretty high on
the red I'm high on the fact that I think
a lot of it are They're gonna have some key
pieces that are gonna come back. I liked I liked
ya as a Saints leader on that team. I thought
that they made some pretty good pieces that they did
from Yeah, and.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Of course you always got Ellie day La Cruz as
their leadoff man as well. You can find the Reds
right now to make the playoffs at plus three hundred,
something that Terry Francona has done time and time again.
The Cubs did make a splashy moves Kyle Talker. Very
interesting move there. I find that very interesting, not just
because of the Cubs, but also in the Astros angle
here as well. Houston's win total still sit in at
(40:25):
eighty seven and a half, and I look at that
lineup and I just think they're going to struggle to
score runs the way they have in the past. You
lose Bregman, you lose Tucker. I know you still got
Jordan Alvarez, but what do you like with Houston this year?
So we'll work to get at him back, Brian, if
you could just ask him if he could take off
the headphone since he keeps dying on us. But anyway,
some other futures here that I really like this season.
(40:47):
Rosenberg was kind of hinting at it in the last
segment Vlad Junior to lead the league and home runs.
Guys is sitting at thirty five to one right now
on DraftKings. Laddie is obviously in that contract year. He
gave a deadline for earlier this week that for him
in the Blue Jays to try to reach a long
term deal. They did not get to it, so he
is truly playing out of contract here. Wouldn't surprise me
(41:09):
to see him possibly on the trade block at some
point mid season. But yeah, I really like Ladd Junior
to lead the league and home run something that he
did do a couple of years ago with like forty
five forty six, maybe even got up to forty eight
to one point. Vlad really found his power swing in
the second half of last season, so hopefully Vlad Junior,
if I do make that bet, can come through there
(41:31):
as well. Another interesting play, I like Bobby Witt to
have thirty five plus home runs at plus one seventy five.
I think that's an interesting look too. Witt has seen
his power numbers increase each season so far in the
big leagues, as we've seen him climb from all the
way up to like thirty two I believe most recently
in this last season. Obviously he's in the middle of
the lineup. So Bobby Witt, I do think is another
(41:52):
interesting guy to just take another step forward in his
career because the kid is just an absolute superstar. Adam
Rosenberg's back with us. Adam, I was just talking about
the Toronto Blue Jays a little bit, a little more
information about that Vlad bet, how he's going a contract year.
I think this is he's going to smash this season,
obviously after he gave that deadline earlier this week. But
(42:12):
I know you like the Blue Jays for some different
reasons as well. What are some of those.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
Look, blue Jays were the worst team last year in
one run games. They saw the worst bullpen in the league.
Both of those things are gonna kind of give some
positive regression. So I like to feel again, I like
the ceiling on that bet like they're in a real
tough division. I don't want to bet them it two
three to one to make the playoffs. I'd rather bet
on them to get to the playoffs and have a
three man. I'm pretty high on of Gousman, Asset and
(42:42):
Balbin Francis. People are sleeping on He's our fifth starter
and the guy has incredible case stuff as we saw
last year to your lad point glad to leave the
league in home runs. I think it's such such a
great bet because he also doesn't strike out, and he
and he walks, he takes really full advantage of as
a bat he's got he's got one of the quick
get swings in the league. He's a again, he's when
(43:03):
he's fifteen to one to be MVP, but he's for
the one to lead the league at home runs. You
got to take that home run bet.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
Yeah, absolutely completely agree with you. There some other looks here.
I know you've been dabbling in the wins leader market.
I saw you tweet something out over the weekend about
Shane McClanahan, a guy that has a very nice floor
when it comes to wins. You know he's getting to
double digits. Now, this is a very tricky category to
bet because of just how these teams use these pitchers nowadays,
Like someone like Garrett Crochet last year in the second
(43:31):
half didn't even get into the fifth inning once, I believe,
I think he was done after four every single time.
Who do you like in the wins market?
Speaker 5 (43:39):
So Shane mcclanahan's my favorite player on here. You know
the reason if he made it like he got hurt
early in so yet he's had a full recovery time.
There's no restrictions on him. In spring. He's already been
named the starter opening. They started as we expected. And
also just I think that this race team's going to
compete pretty well. Way I look at it, you need
(44:01):
between sixteen and eighteen wins to make this happen. He's
never had less than ten wins. Any one hundred to
one is what I founded on Bette Rivers. You can
find it off of like seventy to one in a
lot of the markets. I love Shane mcclannan there, and
then also over on Caesar's Michael King at fifty to
one to be the wins leader. I like that one
a lot. On the Padres, it sounds like the Padres
(44:22):
are going to be dealing Dylan. Dylan sees they're also
weirdly in this. We got to win now because of
these contracts. There's Bogart's contract and all these other ones
over there, they got to like try and win now.
I don't think they're gonna be getting rid of King,
and King was pretty lights out for about three quarters
of the season. So one of the things that's great
about if you back a guy who's not an ACE
(44:43):
is that generally the way they line up sometimes and
things work out, they don't always go ace to ace
against the other lineup, so you can get count on
them getting some pretty good run support, which is what
he got a lot of last year. So give me
Michael King at fifty to one. A lot of these
are darts, obviously, because you need the team to win,
you need the manager him in those kind of things.
But Shane McClanahan Michael King probably two my favorite win leader.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
Bets so sticky with pitching here. I'm just looking through
your uh the list that you've put out so far,
and it looks like you're strongest lean when it comes
to unit wise. Is Paul Skeens to win the cy
Young this year? You found a plus five fifty of baalies.
This says low as plus two to twenty on FanDuel.
Right now, do you do does Skeens? So you're not
worried about a sophomore slump? Basically is how I want
(45:25):
to put this. Now.
Speaker 5 (45:27):
They're dying to give this kid the award, Like the
it's just It's one of those things where and Skeins
is just also just all his stuff is just ahead
of everybody else. Is Look, if Paul Skemes does not
get hurt, Paul Skeins is winning this award. I'm very
confident in saying that he's just he's he is built
differently than other pitchers. He's just like fool he's I
(45:50):
think he's just the best pitcher in the league. And
with the way that things work, the fact that he
got a enough steam that he did for cy Young
last year is pretty incredible. So yeah, give me schemes. Look,
the other thing is that some of this is just mass.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
If you have.
Speaker 5 (46:04):
Short favorites, you got to kind of add a little
bit more to them because if you build your portfolio,
you're kind of hoping for some of these darts that
you have to shorten that markets so that if your
shortest gods don't win, then you know you're kind of
covered from some things that you're gaining value on. So yeah,
schemes is my biggest position. There's some math reasons for that,
but you know the end, if it doesn't work out.
(46:25):
This is kind of how I felt about Spencer Strider
last year. But yeah, gimme Paul skeans to do that
even though he's on the worst managed team. Uh from
a roster construction perspective, I think in the major leagues.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
And I see you also threw a dart at Blake
Snell as well as he heads over to the Dodgers
trying to win his third Cy Young Award with a
third different team.
Speaker 5 (46:44):
Yeah, I mean, look, Blake Snell's got it. He also,
don't forget he didn't have he didn't pitch all last
year because he signed late. He signed late and did
all these things a little bit differently.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
He's, you know, that Dodgers team. I think it's something.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
That's really important there, the oldest team right now in
the league average age. But you know a lot of
them also flocked there because Tommy's doctor was on was
on this team before he even was a Dodger, So
they got a pretty medical staff that's going to take
care of some of these guys.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
I liked.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
I like Snell.
Speaker 5 (47:12):
I just think that. You know, I'm also like just
a sucker for lefties and how these things work, But
I liked I like Snell on this end. You know,
he's got the good case stuff. He's seen a lot
of these guys before, you know, and it's probably the
pitcher that I had the most confidence in kind of
on that team, really coming out there doing sticking it
for a Cy Young type resume.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
Yeah, and I think if he did win the Siging Award,
he might be the only guy decides clements to deal
with three different teams.
Speaker 5 (47:38):
Yeah, yeah, Yeah, there's him, like you know, and then
the other the last guy that I really like a
lot in the Cy Young Well, there's you know, there's
a long shot that I've talked about a little bit
is Christopher Sanchez on the Phillies. But wile of all
season for me to talk about him. But Jacob de Gram.
If Jacob to Gram, I feel the same way that
everybody did been watching Chris Sale last year. If Jacob
de Gram has a Chris Sale season, Jake up to
(48:00):
Grom could win that award in the AL. He came
back in September. His fastball was there still at ninety seven.
He's throwing hard right now, like things all look good
and people forget that, you know, it was twenty twenty two,
is the last time he really played a full qualifying season.
But if he does that on this Rangers team, which
you know I've talked about being pretty high on. He's
(48:21):
in a high K division. It's a lot of angels
that he's gonna be able to strike out, a lot
of athletics. He's gonna be able to strike out the
high K rate aster the team without Kyle Tucker in
that lineup, so you know, you get to play those teams.
Is gonna have four or five starts against them to
inflate some stats. But I like Jacob to grom as well.
I think he's around there. He can find him in
like fifteen to one shorter position by an alsion.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
Great looks. Obviously, spring training just getting underway, got plenty
of time to talk baseball, Rosenberg, thanks so much man
for hopping on. I'm sure we'll be talking to you soon.
Speaker 5 (48:52):
Yeah. Sorry about my headphones. We can blame Apple on that,
but thanks guys.
Speaker 3 (48:56):
No worries man. All right, we'll be right back with

Let's get to some bank roll repairs for Wednesday. We
(49:45):
gave you one here tonight. Checking in on that right now.
It was a three legger from May it was plus
one twenty five. Two legs are in. The third leg
is Houston on the money line. We just need them
to win. They are up by twenty points right now
with less than eight minutes to go out in Arizona State,
So if that can come in, that'd be a nice
one point twenty five unit swing for US or plus
one point twenty five units. Excuse me, LSU just went final.
(50:08):
We needed them to win by twelve and a half.
They won by fourteen, so covered with ease, no sweat there,
and then we gave out Minnesota plus eleven and a
half here for a late night sweat, a group play.
They're down six right now. Just that one just got underway.
All right, So Brian, do you have anything for tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (50:26):
No, I'm not. I'll have a sudden for later.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
This week, Later this week, all right, looking forward to
it when all the other sports get going again. I
got one for you guys tomorrow. All in college basketball,
let's go with Ducane, Drake and Indiana State all on
the money line. Those are three fairly heavy favorites. All
at home. You put those three legs together, we got
a nice plus one fourteen on DraftKings.
Speaker 6 (50:49):
All right.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
When we come back, we're gonna talk a little four nations.
We're gonna head north of the border, get the Canadian perspective.
We'll also talk some more college basketball. So stick around here.
It's the Gambler with Ada Kaufman.
