perspective of coming here with Skyler Thompson to make his

(00:54):
fourth career NFL start at quarterback instead of to a
Tungo Biyola courses out with the concussion. We'll talk to
Isaiah Small's after headlines brought to you by Frost Food
course like choos Chill, the Mariners beat that basically hungover
Yankees yesterday would party to night before and if they're
clinching their playoff berth on Seattle's field three two of
the Mems won. They're now two games back in Minnesota

(01:16):
and Detroit for the final wildcard spot in the American League.
Nine games remaining, the maths still ain't good for Seattle.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Three of those games are in Texas this weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Tonight, George Kirby, coming off the best start of his year,
goes against the Rangers Jacob de gram in which should
be a one nothing game. We'll see which side of
the Mariners end up with. Shoey Otani just amazing. Became
the first player in Major League history with fifty home
runs and fifty stolen bases in the season yesterday by
hitting three home runs, stealing two bases, getting six hits,

(01:49):
and driving in ten runs, a Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Record in the rout of Miami. Just incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Kenneth Walker if the Seahawks training camp, excuse me training
facility yesterday ran with a trainer on the side field
again testing his oblique injury. He did not practice again
for the see. He has not practiced since he got
hurt at the end of the opener September eighth against Denver.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
He had one hundred yard game that day. Of course,
right the.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Running game for Seattle's gone nowhere since he got hurt.
Walker's probably not.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Going to play.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
He may be listed as doubtful as he was last week,
but he has not been on the field of this
week other than the test with the trainer. Signs are
it's going to be Zach Charbonnay starting for Walker for
the second consecutive week.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
On Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
The Seahawks injury report for the game is going to
come out at about one o'clock this afternoon, and I'll
be talking to coach Mike McDonalds shortly after that at Renton.
Starting missing starters list missing practice for the Seahawks went
from seven on Wednesday to four yesterday, and two of
those were getting veteran rest days, Jaron Reed and Jonathan
Hankins on the defensive line, so Walker and Chenna and
Woser are the only two other two starters who didn't practice.

(02:50):
Woser's not going to play, and he'll have missed his
third consecutive game. It appears with that sprain meee he
got in the preseason finale. The WNBA playoffs are set
the Storm or the fifth. They're going to begin their
first round series at the Las Vegas Aces Sunday at
seven pm on ESPN. The crack And started training camp
yesterday at Northgate under new coach Dan Bowsma. Their first

the Coobs home tonight in Martin Stadium to play San
Jose State coming off their Big Apple Cup win.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
That's a seven pm kickoff on the.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
C w Isaia Small's at the Miami Herald, a McClatchy
brethren of mine to come a news tribune in the
Miami Herald, both of whom by McClatchy. He joined us
on the Beacon Plumbing Hotline to talk about what the
Miami Dolphins are bringing to Seattle on Sunday, and Isaiah,
as we all know, it's not to a Tongue of

(04:04):
Iola that they're bringing to Seattle. First of all, your
thoughts on where Tongue of Iola's season and perhaps career
may be going on, where it all.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Stands right now in South Florida with their starting quarterback.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, so well, first off, thanks for having me on
the show.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Guys.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
You know, on Tua's injury, you know, literally just left
the locker room and Raheem Mostered said that, you know,
he looks he looks good, He seems okay, staying active.
He funny enough, he threw a little tidbit in within
twenty four hours of the concussion. The most family, the
Tagavalola family, and the Smith's family as in John Smith.

(04:44):
They actually went to Disney on ice together just to
enjoy each other's company. So on onto a tag of AALOA.
I think I don't necessarily think it's over, you know,
he I feel like he would have said that or
something to that effect, and you know, just knowing how
these guys are competitors, right, I don't think that's how
he wants his final moments on a field to be right.

(05:07):
And so that's the situation there as far as Skyler
Thompson is concerned. I mean, the team has the utmost
faith in him right now.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
You know, he talked about.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Earlier about earlier this week, excuse me about really having
the comfortability in the McDaniel playbook, which obviously is is
one of the more complex offenses in the league. And
you know, when he got his few few starts as
a rookie in twenty twenty two, you know, he said
that he just wasn't as comfortable as he is now.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
You know, there's a lot.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
More, a lot less thinking now and running the offense
than there was, you know.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Two years ago.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
So we'll see how how it goes comes Sunday. You know,
the obviously the Seahawks have was very formidable passing defense,
you know, with those those.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Dbs over there. So I'm looking.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Forward to the game.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
We'll see.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
But I think the key is and as I told
I think Chris earlier this week, like you know, with
the amount of playmakers offensive playmakers that I'm sorry that
the Dolphins have, Thompson really just has to act like
a great point guard right, just distribute the ball, limit
the turnovers, and you know they might be able to
come out with a win.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
A couple of things on that Asaiah. First of all,
do you expect the offense to look the same? And
the Seahawks study Mike McDonald mentioned that their study of
Skyler Thompson's nine NFL games that he holds the ball
longer than Tua does. Do you expect him to get
the ball out more quickly because of the Seahawks pass
rush rates so far in the first couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
And then secondly he most starts availability for Sunday.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, so on the on the on Skyler getting the
ball out quickly, I just don't think he will be
able to do that, just because Tua.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Is kind of in a league of his own with
in terms of.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
How quickly he does get the ball out right, So
I don't think it would be even correct to kind
of compare the two. But it's interesting though, I asked
McDaniel today just about there's a popular adage down year
among all of the the Dolphins fans that really, anybody
can run this offense just because of the playmakers that
they have on the outside and at the running back
position as well as you know the scheme that McDaniel

(07:12):
has you know, employed here. And he kind of used
the word that he hates hearing that because it kind
of triggers him in the sense that like it diminishes
what Tua brings. It diminishes what even Skylar brings to
this offense. Right, And of course there are two different players.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
You know, Tyreek Hill talked a little bit yesterday about
his ability to extend plays, right, and I think that
was one of the things that kind of impressed Tyreek
a couple of years ago when he got his time
to play. And so I will say this about skyt Thompson,
like there is you there.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
I'm gonna point to the last preseason game.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Obviously it's preseason, you know, it doesn't really matter, but
you could tell the minute that he got in the
offense got into the game because he didn't start it.
It was Mike White had started the game. But the
minute that he got into the game, you could tell
that things just change, right, and he almost let them
do you know a comeback attempt come back when excuse me,
didn't pull it off, But you could tell that the

(08:09):
offense has just changed a little bit in terms of
how guys are moving, in terms of how the faith
that they had in Skylar and you heard a lot
of those You heard a lot of that same rhetoric this.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Week leading up to the game.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
How much of it is lip service to try to
get you know, the the back of the quarterbacks confidence up.
Who's to tell, you know, but I think what we
will see come Sunday. And in terms of most of
it's availability, McDaniel said that he is pessimistic today and
that is a direct quote about his availability on on
on Sunday, But you know, from talking with most of.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
It, he said he feels good.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Specifically, he mentioned that he I believe he said he
sprained the s C joint, both of his sea joints,
which is like when you if you look at your chess,
kind of like the outward pectoral kind of like right
over there in that area. So he sprained that and
he had some cardless damage within his chest too. But uh,
you know, he he says he's gonna.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Test it out to see how he feels.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
But if I have to, you know, the long season,
and I'm gonna take McGann on his word and probably
say that most of it won't be out there.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
This is Isaiah Smalls, the beat writer for the Miami
Herald for the Miami Dolphins, joining us on the Beacon
Plumbing Hotline. Chris to Miami Dolphins come to Livenfield to
play the Seahawks on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
How about that offensive line, Isaiah, how's it looking over there?
Because the Seahawks D line is much improved from last
season and getting pressure to the quarterback, They're probably gonna
just use four guys and do that because obviously if
the weapons on the outside with Tyreek and the other
speech there, why am i jongna blanket his name?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Help me out, Isaiah Jalen Wattle? Yeah, yeah, yeah, there
you go.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
So with that being said, how's that offensive line you
think going to hold up against the Seahawks D line?

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:50):
I think.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I mean the offensive line has looked it's been a
little bit inconsistent. I know there are some issues on
that left side. At the end of uh, you know,
last Thursday's game because Toront Arms said and Rob Jones
went out. Both went out with shoulder injuries towards the end.
But we talked to Toront yesterday. He said he feels
that he's wearing a brace. However, he did mention, like

(10:13):
you know, after the game, he couldn't necessarily raise his arm, right,
And so I'm gonna be looking at that to see
how much that's still affective. He said, he feels good.
He said he's playing Rob Jones as well as he
is playing. He practiced all week as well. And so
I guess what we're gonna have to see. I mean,
I would I would have to. I would normally lean
towards the Dolphins. Dolphins a line, but just because of
the talent they have in that unit. But you know,

(10:35):
as you you know, as I just said that, they're
already kind of banged up, and you know, obviously Tron
is a little bit older and they want to have
him towards the end of the season. So it's something
that I'm gonna be looking and paying close attention to
just to see where where they're at. But if obviously,
if the shoulder and injury is affecting him a little
bit more, then then he you know, initially let on.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Then it might be a scary.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Sight for Skyler.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Isaiah the run game, if Moster doesn't play, if you
got Chan has been banged up himself.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Could you see Waddell and Hill as part.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Of a running game to augment and to get speed
on the outside or is this just going to be
a more traditional running back, get out on the edge
type of deal for the run game for Miami Sunday.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
So obviously, you know, Tyreek is a player, and while
they're both players that they need the ball in their
hands to be successful, right, And so you you know
McDaniels very created with the way that he gets not
only those to the ball, but also a player like
John new Smith, right, you know, he's very.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Treated with the way he gets the ball.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
But to say that will be the the the the
driving course of the run game if Moster is out
and Ahan is out, that's just that just won't happen.
I think they have enough faith in Jeff Wilson and
even Jalen Right, the rookie out of Tennessee. But a
chan he said he feels good, though he said that
earlier this week. He feels okay.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
And you know, he had I think what like twenty.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Six touches last week against the against the Bills, and
so that was really like the first time that he
served in that workhorse role. And obviously he kind.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Of thrived in it, right, like more than one.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Hundred yards from scrimmage, second.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Straight game doing.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
That, tying a career high in receptions, and so I
believe that they would just lean on a fan. Again,
I think he's coming into his own and you know,
by the end of the season, you know, if all boswell,
he stays healthy, he could be seen as one of
the top five running backs in the league just because
of his cheer production this year. Just I think he's

(12:39):
he's already top five in yards from scrimmage this year,
just you know, just through two games. Obviously the small
sample size, but they're really doing a good job of
getting him the ball.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
In a variety of ways.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
And again, like that's just you know, you got to
give credit to Mike McDaniel and the creativity with which
he you know, employs in this offense.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
When Mike McDaniel and that Dolphins coaching staff turned on
the game film of Seahawks Patriots, they said, Aha, we're
running the ball one and eighty five yards. I know
it's a different kind of running game in New England,
but one hundred five yards.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
Greg just asked about the the potential that Tyreek and
Jalen watill find themselves in the run game. But how
about this, Dolphins are fifth and yards per play on screens,
averaging eight yards.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Have you been talking to screens up all week, Chris? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (13:23):
Is this a potential where they say, yeah, maybe not
so much in the run game, but hey, we're gonna
do screens, bubble screens. We're gonna get our linement out
there that are athletic to go out and block for
these two speech there's that can open up some passing
plays for Skyler if he gets comfortable in the pocket.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
You know, I think the screens are part of the
bread and butter of this offense.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Right.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
It's something that they would, you know, continuously return to.
And you know, I think we talked about this on
your podcast the other day, Chris. Like, for me, if
I'm drawing up the game plan for Skyler, I want
to get in some very easy throws at first, right,
you know, maybe some you know, some slants, you know,
drag routes, the screens that you mentioned, right, I you know,

(14:06):
just just to get him comfortable and get him to
get the bud flown, the deuce and flowing just so
that when it's time to take that shot down the field, right,
that he's comfortable in doing that.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Right.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
There is a play towards the end of last week's
game against the Bills where I thought he had. It
was a fourth down play, fourth I think of the nine.
I thought he has Hyreek Hill long when he started scrambling,
but you could kind of tell that he was a
little bit hesitant and just decided to run the ball
and got stopped at they're like five yards, right. I
don't think that can happen again, you know, especially if

(14:38):
it's fourth down. I don't want that to happen again. Right,
So he might, you know, be better served to take
that shot against you know, the Seahawks. Obviously, you know
that your guys' dvs are a lot better over there.
But I mean, Tyreek Hill best player in the NFL
according to the players, right. I just would like his chances,
you know, trying to go get that deep ball. I

(15:01):
think it's definitely answer your question, and full definitely going
to be part of that as a game plan. Man,
I don't think that that's gonna you know, that wouldn't
change regardless of who lines up Undertoner, Right, I just
think that that's just one of the bread and butter.
The screens are one of the key elements of this offense.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
Not that you're a home or anything, but you do
cover the team and you've seen Tyreek and yes, he
I think he was arguably the best. You're I just
was a great, great, great seguey. You mentioned that, yes,
the players voted him the best player in the NFL.
I would argue justin Jefferson. But do you think that
was a fair assessment based on what he did last season?

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Do you feel that he was the best player in
the NFL last year?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Oh, you put him me on the spot.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
I am, I know, Chris, I I do.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
I do.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Yes, everything they did last season, I say, yes, he
had the best season out of everyone. Sure he didn't
win at all, but it's a regular season award. They
don't really look into the postseason at all. It's all
about one through seventeen and one through seventeen. I thought
he nailed it.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Yeah, I think ultimately, you know, as analysts and fans,
we kind of, uh, you know, evaluate the stuff like
that very differently. Right If you're saying it's a regular
season awards, and I'll be inclined to agree with you,
because I personally think that anytime that Patrick Mahomes is healthy,
that he's the best player than you. Yeah, the regular

(16:29):
seas and stuff is cute, but like I want, I.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Want hardware at the end of the year, right.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
So personally, uh, you know, I'd have to be inclined,
you know, to that point. Pat Mahonmes probably had I think,
statistically his worst season maybe since his rookie year, right,
or because not as rookie, but his first time, you know,
as as a consistent starter, right, And so I I
he wasn't the best regular season player, but obviously he

(16:56):
turned around at the end of the year. So I think,
person I mean, I would be in kind to say
Patrick Mahomes, but obviously Tyreek would. He did in the
regular season's phenomenal. So you got to give credit for critic.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I knew there's a reason we had you on, sir,
Thank you very much of us, did Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
I know kind of he understood that. They literally asked
you what the hardware is? What he said for the
best player of the NFL, that's what you know.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
They should probably change it. The best player, I agree,
the entire year, not just one through seventeen eighteen games,
eighteen weeks. That is the entire season. And then yes,
I think anyone would take Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
I agree for sure.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Isaiah. Have you ever been on the flight from Miami
to Seattle?

Speaker 3 (17:40):
I have not, and I'm disappointed. I won't be won't
be attending, uh you know, this week, but you know,
hopefully in the new ar few show'll be able to
get a chance to get out there.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
You are saving about a day and a half of
your life. You would think you were flying. You were
flying to Spain more quickly than you would fly to Seattle. Well, sir,
enjoy your weekend. Thanks for the insight and the latest
on most start situation and the quarterback situation for Miami.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Thanks a lot, yep.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Thank you guys. Have a great weekend as well.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Isaiah Smalls, the beat writer for the Miami Herald of
for the Miami Dolphins, who McClatchy, brethren of mine, who
says that Rassimo start will not where he mostart will not.
Well pessimistic is what Mike McDaniel said whether he will
play Sunday the lead running back for the Dolphins against
the Seahawks, and that means Devon a Chen would be

(18:32):
the lead back, and that's who they leaned on last
week in the Buffalo game for Miami and they lost
thirty one to ten doing it after Tua went out
injured with the concussion. He said, Tua and his family
and Jeff Wilson's family and Tyreek Hill's fair I think
he said Tyri Hills family. They all went to Disney
on ice and that is what we talked about earlier
this week.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Chris let him go.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Home and be a dad, but don't let him game
plan and get banged around again and potentially play so soon.
I don't be a dad, And that's great to hear
that that's what he's doing. And hopefully for him that
he comes clear after four weeks and if he wants
to continue playing football, he's cleared by neurologists to do that,
or he takes a long hard look and think about

(19:14):
whether he wants to do this anymore. And he certainly
doesn't need it for the money. He's got great grandchildren,
generational wealth from that new contract he just signed this offseason.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
So the Seahawks still have speed.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
They still have Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle and a
chen and they still have Mike McDaniel going to scheme
the hell out of them on the edge, especially in
the run game because of what he saw on tape
for the Patriots and the Seahawks win in overtime in
New England last week four nine, four five one on
the Telemordude tax Line. Some of you commenting already about
that and about what the Dolphins task posing the challenge

(19:50):
they pose on the Seahawks on Sunday, we'll read back
your text at eleven thirty at eleven thirty five, Factor
Fiction your last chance on this show to win a
thousand dollars from the Emerald Queen Casino this week.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
That's at eleven thirty five.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
The only hint I'm going to give you is that
we're staying on campus and that is somewhat close to home. Well,
those are my two hints that I'm going to stay with.
You'll hear my pick on that at eleven thirty five.
All that coming up next on a Washington State Beef
Commission Football Friday on ninety.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Three point three KJRFM. Welcome back.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
You know what the music means. It doesn't mean boogie
Knights in the radio, not yet not yet. We're trying
to figure that out.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
It's factor fiction.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
At eleven thirty five, right after your text from the
topamore do text line four nine four five one.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
From the four towo five. I am a longtime listener
and my mother in law, Pam Gregelman from Mayersville, would
listen to you guys every day, and she passed away
suddenly yesterday afternoon. She loved your show and ninety five
seven the jet four two five. Look, Greg and I
apologize and we hope your family can get through this

(20:55):
tough time. We appreciate all the love and support though
from you and Pam and the rest of the family
tuned in. But we wish you guys the best, and
thank you again for listening for anything.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
When I ask ye, I'll strength to your families. That's
I've been down that road. I'm in the middle of
that road, so I get it. I'll strengthen them. Thank
you very much. Really appreciate that.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
Marcus from the two oh six, he made me more
confident about my Dolphins twenty three to twenty exact score.
Bet So, I'm guessing Marcus is either at a casino
or he's already made the bet Marcus. You let us know,
but we know Marcus is good for making a bet.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I wonder what made him feel more confident? They said,
Skyler Thompson was much more comfortable than he was. Yeah,
two years ago, three years that's that's huge. That's a
big deal. But he should be.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
The Seahawks defense don't seem to be a joke, So
I don't know it will be. We will find out
so much more on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Let's see SIXOSA is a good test for Mike McDonald
lighton Pete Carroll's tenny with the Seahawks. He was letting
guys like Colt McCoy come to town and beat him.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
That is true.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
That is a fact, another reason why he another reason
why he was showing the door. Let's hope coach Mike
pays a little more attention to detail in the Seahawks
cruise to victory. That is a good point. There is
a recent history of a lot of backup quarterbacks coming
in here and beating the Seahawks in Liomenfield. Our guy
Teddy ball game five six two. So done with the ms.
Let me down here in Socow. It's o Tony Mania

(22:22):
for sure. It's football time. Now waited so long for this.
Let's see. Do I watch the Mariners or Coogs tonight?

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Oh? Coogs win? Go Koog's camblllon for that.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
We'll get to that in a moment, by the way,
Oh Travis, Yeah, Travis, Oh you saw it?

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah, go ahead? Five hundred, good ahead, five hundred four.
You got nine games for him to get four home runs?

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Ohli Rodriguez, Well he has another bet though, I don't
know if he saw this. You know the best, No,
go ahead. I was gonna bring something else. Well, Travis
hit us up earlier this morning, kid, Good morning, it's
Trav getting close on home.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Oh I did see this. Good luck. NFL is now here.
Got a new wager for you.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
If interested, Gino gets twenty four or more TV passes
in the regular season, I'll pay you five hundred. If not,
I get five hundred.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
This is how betting you start losing your shirts and
you're living in boxes, and this is where it goes down.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
As long as I'm employed, we'll double down on No,
not doubling that's another bet. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Don't cover the boss you're about to take on Julie
Rodriguez by betting another bet.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
I'm really away walk away. I'm considering it. I think
walk away, Travis. I don't want to say wait until Monday,
because obviously that could really take the scale. But if
you come up with another, I don't know about this
one's a good one.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
This is a tough one. But we're gonna move on.
Is the FCC cool which just opened? Wagering what they're
gonna say? Christy can't bet listeners. As long as I
pay up, there shouldn't be any issues. What do you got, Greg?
What's the next one you say? For two five to listen?
Being a father and being president in your family's life
is the most rewarding thing ever. Man, Are you right

(23:54):
about that? You know what, when I look back on
what I've done the last twenty one years of my life,
none of it involves anything to do with anything other
than my family, my wife and my kids. And how
many times had I stayed on a Saturday to watch
my kids play soccer or basketball or baseball, or go
to their band concerts and then catch a red eye

(24:16):
to Cincinnati on a Saturday night, get their Sunday morning
cover a Sunday afternoon game. Yeah, I was tired. Do
I really regret that. Hell no, hell no, do I
regret that? And man, I'm so glad that I've done
that and flown across the country. I'm going to try
to She's in my daughter's fly is rowing for Coast Guard,

(24:37):
the Coast Guard Academy in the Head of the Charles
at Boston, And anyone who knows anything about rowing knows
how prestigious ahead of the Charles is. It is the
Windermere Cup of the Eastern Seaboard, and it's the second
time in three years she's rod in it. The Seahawks
play Atlanta the next day. I'm flying to Boston, spending
Saturday in Boston and see her row in the Head

(24:57):
of the Charles and then catching a flight Sunday morning
down to Atlanta. And do I regret that? Hell no.
So totally get that. And the same Texter, says Otani says,
now begetting the Michael Jordan treatment, meaning that when the
Dodgers come to down you buy a ticket, he must
see You're absolutely right.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Otani is a modern day miracle in baseball.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Right now, now a chance to win one thousand dollars
from the Emerald Queen Casino on your airs from every day,
Factor Fiction begins right now, where's that to go?

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Glad you with us.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
It's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the
ten thousand dollars grand prize. It's Factor Fiction brought to
you by the Emerald Queen Casino, the betting capital of
the Northwest. Make the beautiful new WEQUC Sportsbook your home
all football season long. Factor Fiction is on Sports Radio

(25:48):
ninety three point three KJR FM.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Here we are your last chance to get the skinny
from the best show there is on KJAR to tell
you what Factor Fiction is. I'm gonna ride that until
it's not true. We're leading the standings through two weeks
and I ten firth to continue. I think we're gonna
be eleven to three after this week. I'm staying on
college campuses is where I like to be for these.

(26:19):
Washington State host San Jose State tonight in Pulman. If
you missed it, my Manny Eric Bell is going to
be on the KUGR YouTube channel tonight broadcasting the game
for student radio and the Cougars.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Check it out. First time he's done.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
He's done soccer, we hadn't done college football, so I'm
checking out out at seven o'clock, turn down your TV
and watch it on TV and listen to him on
the radio with his color guy. San Jose State, ken
Ne Matola was the Navy head coach. He's the all
time winning his coach at Navy. He got fired in
the locker room at the Army Navy game after the
first overtime game in the history.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Of that series.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Ridiculous how they canned him in Navy, the best coach
they've ever had. He's now at San Jose State because
San Jose State's coach from last year, Brennan is now
the Arizona.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Coach because Jed Fish became the Washington coach.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Well, anyway, he Santjose's state coach. Can coach defense. They
gave up seventeen points to Air Force. They gave up
twenty four to sax State, Okay, sax State FCS. They
gave up ten to Kennesaw State, a Conference USA. Washington's
Kate State is coming off their big Apple Cup win.
Of course, they got a big game next week in

(27:25):
the Blue Turf and Boise against the Boise State Broncos.
Short week Friday night game after a Saturday game in
Seattle Man. This has all the signs of a letdown
or at least a struggle down game for the Coups.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Yes, they should win.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
I'm gonna stay away from the points spread because I
get I'm not sure they're going by two touchdowns or more,
but fifty five and a half points is the over under,
and I could see the Coogs taking a while to.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Get going Tonight, I'm going under.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Washington State, San Jose State take the under and fifty
five and a half points. The Cougs still win, but
they gotta get through this one and before after Washington
and before Boise State. Washington State, San Jose State take
the under at fifty five and a half points Tonight.
It's at seven pm on the CW. If you agree
with me and you're right in you're you should four

(28:16):
nine four y five one. If you disagree and you're
misguided'd go wayward in text fiction to four nine four
y five one. You've got twelve minutes After that, you
gotta wait until two thirty five when Edith Fornest makes
his pick for today, or three thirty five when Dave
Softymorrow and Dick Fate make their pick. Washington State, San
Jose State take the under combined points of fifty five
and a half. I'm saying that they will not score

(28:38):
more than fifty five points tonight in Pullman at Martin Stadium,
seven o'clock kickoff on the CW. If you're agree with me,
text fact and only fact the four nine four to
five one. If you disagree, text fiction and only fiction
the four nine four y five one, you now have
eleven minutes.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
I couldn't go against your coups.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
It was twelve and a half on the spread, and
I didn't want to give that out there well against
because Jackson went plus. Yeah, there are reasons to think
Washington State can score on San Jose State, but I'm
swayed by the fact that air Force only got seventeen
on them. And Santaose State's picked to be tenth in

(29:16):
the twelve team Mountain West this year.

Speaker 5 (29:18):
But they ain't seen a white Mike vic yetyah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
You're gonna be ripping and running.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
What is this white Mike vick is coming off a
Friday game in the Apple Saturday game in the Apple
Cut playing on Friday in Pullman. I'm just thinking they're
gonna it's gonna take a bit. It's gonna take maybe
that most of the first half, and that the score
will be low at halftime and Kook fans might be
wondering what the heck's going on, and then Wazoo pulls
away in the second half.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
That's my thinking. We'll see, so we go ahead to
head here, so.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
We have a chance to open up a lead here
on Anders and Ian's show, if you believe it, Washington
State San Jose State in the under fifty five and
a half points. If you believe me saying it's gonna
go under text fact the four nine four five one,
I think it will fiction four.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Do you think it's gonna go under? I do.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
I just think it's gonna kind of just be like
disjointed start to the game, maybe a slog they pull
away at the end of win thirty one seventeen or
something like that.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Unless the Klugs just don't play defense and it's shoot right.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
That's that's the only thing the fear that I have,
which I think that's why Jackson ended up taking San
Jose State plus.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Eleven and a half. Oh, that might be the reasoning.
I have to go back and listen. But oh, he
didn't take the over. He they took the point to
the points bread. Well, yeah, they San Jose State only
scored seven points against air Force.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
That's what made me think they're not gonna run go wild.
But we'll see.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Yeah, fifty five and a half. So I got Army
and I got Wazoo. This week, you got Northwestern and
I got the the I got the over on that
over on that weecond Washington.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Yeah, north Questern pick two over and unders this week.
Look at that? Look at that.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Yeah, I got the over of forty two and a
half on the Northwestern Washington game. Going to tell them
we'll do text line. If you're a degree of disagree
factor fiction Emerald Queen Cassina, the betting capital of the Northwest,
gives you this chance of win one thousand dollars every week.
Whoever wins the most gets ten thousand dollars at the
end of the season. End of the season for this
contest is in mid December. Up next a bevy of

(31:18):
games on our airs, both the FNM AMKJR stations this weekend.
We'll talk about that. We'll talk about the most ones
you're looking most forward to. Heading into Ian Furness's show
beginning at twelve o'clock from Spokane from Whitward Whitworth University,
where his son's playing football this weekend. All that next
on Washington State Beef Commission's Football Friday on ninety three
point three KJR FM. Welcome back Greg Bell at the

(31:46):
News Tribute and Christopher Kidd joined by Anderson Hurst. Now
because Ian Ferness the Marrimickal Valley is actually in Spokane
at Whitworth Yep, her son's going to be playing college
football tomorrow, so he's going to join at eleven excuse
me noon rather than eleven forty five. Blowing up that
it wasn't quite working right away, that weren't getting bounced
back to the Factor Fiction.

Speaker 7 (32:05):
I had this quite a bit as the I don't
know CEO of Factor Fiction here on KJR, but there
are some times where the window takes a few minutes
to open up. But I did double check it and
it should be open now. So if you do well,
we'll add some time on to the end to make
sure everyone gets their pick.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Because were the men of the people, We're going to
say you have until eleven fifty five, Yes, if you agree.
Washington State San Jose tonight at Martin Stadium, and pullman
will go under fifty five and a half fact to
if you disagree with that, fiction to four nine four
five one, And you got about four more three more
minutes to do that.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
We extended the window for you and you will get
a bounce back this time.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Yes, that should all be well, and just hit fact.
You've hit fact. You get a chance to win one
thousand dollars. You guys, you're tied for first huh tied? Yeah,
I mean Ian biffed it on Monday nights. Yeah, but
you in first place, man, technically as of now. But
you guys' picks haven't been like, there's no results yet,
so if you can't really they say.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
In the first place, we are in first place.

Speaker 7 (33:03):
The results are from through last week, so once the
results from this week, I'm not living.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
I'm living in the present. We are first place. I
am foreign one.

Speaker 7 (33:13):
You are first hosts. You're the first actually I am
the first place host because I'm undefeated.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Had two games. Because because Ian won't let you do it.

Speaker 7 (33:20):
It goes by percentage, man, And yeah, yeah, it goes
to percentage.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
That's how we do it.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Though a squirrel, blind squirrel can get a nut twice well,
a couple of blind Squirrel one.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
A percentages. It's funny.

Speaker 7 (33:40):
Ian talks a lot of smack about uh, the shows
before him and their factor of fiction pick. So you
guys kind of shown him up a little bit. It's
kind of funny.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
It took a while for you guys to sing, we
have another great week, because if what.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I'm saying, you gotta wait.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
I'm waiting at the moment, man, stay in fact, all right,
the best show on the station.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Okay, wow, wow.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
If you wanted all my picks hit, that's what I'm
your chance for one thousand dollars away. I don't care
kept to me. I'm just telling you want a chance
to win one thousand dollars, text fact to four nine
four five one or you don't text fiction.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
That's how I'm That's really all it is to that.
All right.

Speaker 7 (34:18):
Well, I mean, as many people pointed out to me
on Tuesday, and I was mentioned, oh I'm doing oh
you know, I'm bound to get one wrong, so you're
bound to get a couple more wrong as well. So
maybe maybe every once and now and then.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
I don't think I'm bound to anything.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Man. I think I think you guys were years later
on getting someone who knows what the hell he's talking
about on the show. That's my personal opinion.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Taking Army under every week. There we go. I didn't
do that this week. I did not do that because
the thunder just plummeted.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Yeah, on the Washington game, it actually the line the
over under went down thirteen points really in a day
and a half. It was a fifty five and it
went to forty two and a half.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
So I took the old. Yeah, it's a call. That's
one of my picks. I like that Northwestern Washington over
forty two and a half.

Speaker 7 (34:56):
I'm curious what Ian's taken to day, But no, I
like your pick that I think the coup.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (35:01):
They have a good defense. San Jose State has a
pretty good offense. And it's at San Jose State, and
it's tonight. It is im pullman. Okay, I thought it
was at San Jose State. But I think they're gonna
win that game. I'm with you on your whole like,
all right, what if they go undefeated and run the
table that they get kind of the rest of the.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
College could be a Huskies fan. Yeah, cool, I would
think absolutely, Maybe not, but.

Speaker 7 (35:24):
Well, and the other thing is there's a lot of
college football guys are mentioning this to us like you're
kind of rooting for them to do well the rest
of the year. Both Kook fans are rooting for the
Huskies to do well in the cop and the Husky
fans rooting for the Cooks to do well to make
that loss look better. So it's like it's kind of
a weird dynamic, especially having it not be at the
end of the year like it normally is.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Some people are writing still no bounce back, really are man?
Nico and three six O's right in that, Nico, I'll
try to take care of you.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Man. You have a longtime listener.

Speaker 7 (35:50):
No worries say if if there are some glitches with
our system and nothing ever works one hundred percent, well
here so you know how that goes well.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Just fact this text kickoff kickoss is seven. The book
will close this six fifty nine. Let's go yeah, all right,
Washington State, San Jose State fifty five and a half
total points under. You believe that and you want to
win a thousand dollars text fact to four nine, four
to five one. If you just want to be wayward misguided,
pick fiction and just you know, wasting your.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
Time on that.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
But we'll get it straight on the tech end. What
do you got with Ian to say really quick?

Speaker 7 (36:25):
Since we're up against the break here, We got Dani
O'Neil from The Dang Apostrophe. Ian calls him the best
sports writer that lives in New York that talks about
Seattle sports. So that's a pretty small group of people,
but yeah, he is great. Cosell NFL films at one o'clock.
We got Robb Ring at two, and then someone from
the Kraken is going to join us at one forty five.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
For day of power play. Good. Yeah, hockeys are back.

Speaker 7 (36:46):
Oh yeah, absolutely, camp start yesterday.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Yes it did. Let's go. Nico says, it went through
so beautiful.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
We're good to go. All right, great, let's worries for me.
Just go win your thousand bucks. Listen to me right, fact,
And I don't know, it's not that hard.

Speaker 7 (36:59):
We have more than four chances with you, so I
mean do with every show, not just with you guys.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Anderson Hurst and Ian Forness will be I guess Jess
is probably on the sideline.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Getting ready for she's out today. Yes, she's getting ready
for a game to night at Washington.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
State and for Ness Anderson Hursts Up next Washington State
Beef Commission Football Friday, rolls on and have a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Thanks a lot for listening.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
I'll be back with you with Chris on Monday morning
on ninety three point three kJ RFM
