Well, Becky has a few areas that I could have
a little more drive in, so, you know, perhaps being
more aware at that time what the babies need and
perhaps helping being helpful making dinner versus laying on the
ground and saying him mangre.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
You Joe, Yeah, twenty five dollars gift card as a
thank you for calling in. I know it can be intimidating,
and if you have a health question, supplement, you know
what what could work for this small this problem. It
could be small, medium, or large something that challenges your health,
I mean, or a loved one's health and we love
to sort of give direction around that stuff. Or you
have a testimony around how supplements or a healthy move
(03:36):
in your life has sort of moved you towards you
being the CEO of your own health. Like that's a
big part of the Healthy Place is introducing hope to
people in sort of hopeless situations when they're in say
chronic pain or sleep struggles, stress, cort assault, you know,
gut issues is super common in our community or other
people that just want to live a better quality of life.
So all those questions are invited on this show. So

email Tim as well, Tim at find your Healthy Place
dot com. That's Tim tim at find your Healthy Place
dot Com. We'll get to your emails in just a moment,
but first we go to the phones and Brianna calls us.
Briann is joining us from Fitchburg with a question about
college in Brianna, welcome to the program. You're on the
(04:21):
ear Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Hey, Brianna, how are you doing pretty good? How can
I help you?
Speaker 5 (04:28):
I'm just wondering with your number of collagen products, what
is your best provided or leasa, what your customers have noted, like,
what's your favorite or what's the Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
So Ancient Nutrition I'm a big fan of Ancient Nutrition
was produced by Rubin, who first created the brand Garden
of Life and then which is a huge, wonderful brand.
He doctor Jordan Rubin cured himself of Crohn's disease.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
I mean, very cool story.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I think his book is called The Healed I sell
I might be mixing that up with another title. But
and then the other owner is doctor Ax who is
sort of the gentleman alongside Brenda Watts that educated America
first on the gut brain connection gut health.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
So those two dudes.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Working together is pretty neat, and everything they produce is
something I respect. So Ancient Nutrition they have a multicollagen,
peptides protein powder. It's very pure, clean sourcing, and they
have different different products for different goals. So you might have,
you know, collagen that you're going more for joint pain,
collagen more for beauty within, beauty without, you know, hairskin
(05:35):
and nails, that sort of thing. So we have seven
or eight different products by Ancient Nutrition. But I also
have a lot of respect for vital proteins and Great
Lakes and meal Cell, So we carry several brands and.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
I do recommend it.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
I take it daily myself with my protein shake and
I get my greens powder in there and extra amino
acids and multi and kind of make a super shake
out of it.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
But I'm a big believer in collagen perfect.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
Thank you. I just want to know there's just so
many out there. I wasn't sure.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, yeah, and shoot an email too.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
I'll give you a couple of links Tim at find
your Healthy Place dot com, and I can get you
that twenty five dollars.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Thank you too for the call.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
All right, thank you, Brian.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
A great question this morning, and uh and I love
that that question is collagen is And I don't know
that we've talked a lot about it, but I know
we've had a caller or two in the past that
I've asked about it, and we seem to get just
kind of a mixed uh group of people looking for
different things, whether it's you know, you mentioned beauty inside,
(06:33):
beauty outside. I know we've got some folks also that
are into you know, they're into working out, and it's
and you would know, I hear, I've got I've got
the expert right here, but I hear from folks about
about even things like like muscle mass and other things,
collagen being beneficial in that area as well.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
So it's really oh yeah, skin, skin, elasticity, hydration, you know,
support joint health is really big. There's a lot of
people suffering with pain and college and will help for
for joint flexibility, elasticity, range of motion, flexibility. Also, hair,
skin and nails is probably twenty five percent of the
collagen market because it builds your you know, your body's
(07:13):
natural collagen sort of goes down with age, and so
taking collagen can help sort of bolster that and so hair, skin,
and nails, but also cognitive health is one of the
reasons I like it is because that mental clarity and focus,
you know, stay sharp with kids and work and life
and trying to make good decisions. Like the more healthy
(07:35):
your brain can be, you know, hopefully the better your
decisions are, et cetera.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
So boosting muscle mass though, is very common.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
So it contains amino acids like glycine and arginine that
support that muscle tissue and combine you know, with strength training.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
And obviously the rest of your diet can really help.
Gut health though too.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Is maybe another one I'd bring up is folks that
are battling IBS is sort of an umbrella that is labeled.
You know, hundreds of different gut problems could have the
umbrella of IBS or irritable bowel syndrome, So if you're
in that group, collagen can be helpful. If you're in
(08:14):
the crones or diverticky lightis the electronic inflammation like collagen
is soothing, you know, And I like to bring up
bone broth in those situations too, can be very healing
to that mcosa ligning so wound healing even. I mean,
the list kind of goes on with collagen. So yeah,
I respect it a lot.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Pretty amazing stuff. So we talked this morning with Tim
O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Great day to get on
and whether it's the West Side Fitchburger Sun Prairie location,
don't forget especially great if you're near the Sun Prairie
location on a Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
That's today. Tim is there from ten until five.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
You'd love to see You'd love to give you that
high five, love you to give you that consultation. Speaking
of getting a consultation, love Gabby. Join us this morning
full lines or open six oh eight three two one
thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
We'll get you right on the air. As a matter
of fact, Mike from Springfield Corners checks in. Mike, welcome
to the program. You're on the air with Tail from
the Healthy Place.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
Sean, Good morning, Tim, Good morning, thanks for taking the call.
Quick question for it, because I'm suffering from it as
we speak. But a little elbow ten to nightis that
I've got that flares up occasionally, the mileage from past
sports that I didn't take care of the way back
then catching up to me now. So every once in
(09:23):
a while I got a flare up, whether it's golf,
whether it's other types of training, and right now it's
letting me know it's there. So I was wondering if
you have any suggestions, any product that might specifically support
that type of the area of the body.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, very good question. And how long have you been
dealing with that?
Speaker 6 (09:48):
Well, let's see, I'm fifty seven, so I would stay
five years.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Oh wow.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
And then when the flare ups hit, how long do
they usually last? Is it like a day like one,
you know, one day, or is it like a week
at a time, two weeks?
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Or is it always different?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
And it could be weeks. This latest iteration started back
in April after a little yard work, but then it
exacerbated with particular types of physical activity that I don't stop,
I don't rest it, I don't ice it, I don't
profit it as I should. So from that standpoint again,
(10:29):
trying to first of all recognize, you know, hey, I've
got to do something on that end, but then also too,
if there's any step I could take further to help,
you know, with supplements or otherwise.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
To absolutely Number one, there's a couple.
Speaker 6 (10:45):
Of X the inflammation we've got now and dress going forward.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Mm hmm, yeah, well well said, And you don't.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
The first thing I'd always say to somebody is, oh,
please keep the activity up, you know, because sometimes with
pain you can sort of sit down and be like, oh,
it hurts too bad to keep moving, which I do
have compassion for. And you don't sound like you're slowing
down or slowing because if activity goes down, just for
anyone listening because of an injury, the rest of your
(11:12):
health kind of goes down with it. So it's like
a matter of finding a healthy way to continue activity
even with pain. So yeah, you don't sound like you're
slowing down at Also, I don't have to tell you that.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
The two things I'd bring up that have been.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Very helpful for this type of issue in our community
over the last fifteen years that we've been open here
and serving the community is.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
A product called Kira Relief.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Kira Relief is ceu r yes a relief, and that's
on our website, in our store. You could even pop
to the Fitchburg store. If you're around today, I could
explain it to you. But it has a form of
kerkhuman that is much more absorbable than a regular Kirk
human form called BCM ninety five. It's used in Texas
a Baylor University right now to treat inflammation, cancer and
(11:58):
inflammation depression with some pretty cool marks and anything inflammation related.
So forty five minute relief for most people, they notice
it takes the edge off. So I'm thinking, like you're
going golf, you take three of these tablets. Forty five
minutes in you're like, okay, okay, I feel this like
the pain you know, hopefully is gone gone. But what
I'd be ida i'd be selling right now is like
(12:20):
I think it would take the edge off for you,
and you can do that three times a day, depending
on how intense or painful your situation is. The maintenance
on it is anywhere from one twice a day up
to three twice a day is sort of like maintenance
depending on where people at. So cure relief I think
could help you a lot. And then another like a topical,
(12:42):
either a CBD topical works really well in five minutes
you feel again from a topical scenario you feel relief,
and Comfrey cream is another one that's five minute relief.
It's called the trauma plant because it's used topically for
all sorts.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Of pain and wounds and healing.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
And both of CBD topical or Comfrey cream if you
had a topical on hand and cure relief, those two
together make a great team. We sell a lot of
those for this exact type of issue because there's carpal
tunnels as well, like people's wrists or say arthritis. You know,
I was talking to a lady playing piano that that
the arthritis was getting too bad and cure relief was
(13:21):
able to help her like that flexibility, mobility, get the
inflammation down in her fingers.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
So it just cleans your body.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Of inflammation, which is really the root of all pain,
and it's the root of a lot of other bad
things too, like degenerative disease and gut problems, and the
list goes on. So yeah, I think those two, and yeah,
I keep me posted on how it's helping you.
Speaker 6 (13:41):
Well, I will let you know. At ten fifteen when
I stopped Atburgh, nice man.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
Mike send me a picture.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
I love to see you guys hanging out this Yeah,

(14:32):

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Don't forget today's Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I mean Tim's hanging out at the Fitchburg location today
from ten until five.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
Who love to see you. By the way, Wednesday, I
do you mentioned.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Your ride your e bike and I know you guys
recently had done a giveaway with Bye and e bike
as well, and people love them.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
And just real quick, this is completely off.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Off topic you first, and then I got a bike.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Cool thing about the the e bikes is and I
know there's in the bike world there's debate about it,
but for folks that are, you know, maybe sometimes discouraged
because of hills and other things, the e bike kind
of takes that out. It gets people out doing things
and really kind of levels the playing field. So I'm
a I'm a big fan of anything I can get
people out being asked yes what.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
So Becky and I bought one for each other for
our fifteen year wedding anniversary, and you know, the idea
of going on dates together the two of us, and
we moved to.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Sort of a very hilly area, you know, and it
is so steep of hills that you.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Know, I mean, hey, if we have our game face
on and we're going for a hardcore workout, let's bring
it right. And you can turn the e bike off
or you can turn it down. And so it also
helps you enjoy a date time where you're actually going
for a jaunt around the neighborhood and I just I
love the wind in my face and I'm having so
much fun on the e bike. And we had a
(15:55):
bike giveaway, like you said, and I got to ride
the e bike.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
I was like taking it for a.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Joy ride before I gave it away, because like, this
thing's really cool, So I take it on a joy ride.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
And when I like coming back, the.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Gentleman that one was right there with a big smile,
and I didn't know it was gonna work out that way,
and he was like yelling with excitement. He was so excited.
So that was fun to give away. Mister Elliott, that
was super fun to give to him, and he is
just having a fun time with it.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
One of the things I love, and kind of a
parallel to that is is people just kind of I
always say, like, got to take that first step, You
got to do that first thing, and and sometimes just
little changes can make big differences. And that's why I
always say, get into the healthy place. Today's day to do.
To get on in and let's talk a little bit
about you got it just about two minutes, tim real quick.
(16:46):
Just talk a little bit about that experience the healthy place,
and you could see each and every day folks who
come in and make very small lifestyle changes and want
to go down that path. You get to see the
results as well. It's going to be super rewarding, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, it's like make tiny changes, you know, like think small.
Like there's a book that's I forget the author's name,
very good book called Think Small.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
And then I saw a bumper sticker yesterday. I thought
it was super neat.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
It was like make tiny changes and like that's the
whole thing that's like every day, like okay, I have
a choice here, you know, and like these little choices
that people make when it comes to their health, it
fans this little flame called the flame of your health,
or like you being the CEO of your own health
and sort of like taking control of your life. All
of that sort of conversation. And when you see somebody
(17:33):
come in and they're just sort of you know, here,
whether you know, let's just think about somebody in pain,
or let's think about somebody that's never really tried a
supplement before for their pain. They just take ibuprofen, you know,
tilan all it's you know, seven bucks from Walgreens, So
why complicate things? And then they learn enough to know like, okay,
this damage is the liver and damages the kidneys and
you know, actually damages my body's ability to treat inflammation
(17:54):
and pain, and so that actually might make things worse
over the years. And so then they sort of venture
in with some courage and they say, you know, hey,
do you have anything for pain? You know, I've heard
my friend had some results here, and they try care
relief and you know, it's two dollars a day, and
they come in six weeks later getting in another bottle
and they say, okay, this took the edge off, and
(18:16):
they get another bottle and that starts a journey sean
for someone into like, hey, deeper issues in their life,
deeper health issues, and our wellness consultants journey with them
and like take them by the hand, so to speak,
because we're all learning this stuff together.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Each of us have health goals.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
And health challenges as well as a wellness consultant army.
So we don't do commission because we want to remove
that distraction. We're sensitive to finances, et cetera, et cetera.
It's all about the human and bringing them on the journey,
reminding them that they're the CEO of their own health,
their life matters, health matters, they're worth fighting for, and
that they add value to the community. Because like, the
more we educate on all of that, the better it's
(18:51):
going to be for.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
All of us.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Take your bike, take your e bike, take your car.
Get on into the Healthy Place. It's a great day
to do that. West side of Madison, Fitchburg or sun Prairie.
Don't forget it's Wednesday that we Tim be hanging out
