Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's Wednesday morning at eight thirty nine, and taking your
calls to keep you smiling with the Healthy Place bits too.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Good morning, Good morning, mister Sean.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I'm doing really good to help you bed.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
I've been pretty swell, pretty swell Wednesday, so I'm excited
about being at the Fitchburg store. One of my favorite
things about each week.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Did you get a chance to ride your bike the
past week or so?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I sure did.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yeah, the wifey and I and the kids, we have
e bikes and we bought them for each other on
our anniversary. And we pull George and Charlie around, so
that's three and one, so they're in the trailer and
then the three older kids are on the bike. So
we're all around Fitchburg, Verona bike into parks.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
And trying to find new parks. And it's been early
fun summer.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
It's a great area to do that stuff. And you
speak and speaking of the fun of summer, it's always
a great data, you know, to really enjoy and improve
your overall life. That's one of the great things about
getting into the Healthy Place, whether you stop by the
West Side location Fitchburg or sun Prairie chat with the
wellness consultants, start that conversation, start that journey. You can
also do it right online and finds your Healthy Place

(01:12):
dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com. You
can also find the healthy Place on Facebook and other
social media including places like Instagram at finds your Underscore
Healthy Place YouTube as well mentioned getting into the Healthy Place.
It's a great day. Today is a Wednesday. Tim alluded
to it. Just there Wednesdays. That means, Tim, You're going
to be out the Fitchburg Store this morning, aren't you?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
End of five every Wednesday at the Fitchburg Store. And Yeah,
I'm pumped about it, John, because I started about six
months ago and it's a time that I get to
be with the community and connect with other business owners
and network. Right we're all trying to build each other
up in this community and shopping local and all that
stuff is important to us. So just getting to work

(01:54):
with customers around consultations. If you have any questions for
you or loved ones consultation, I love it. I'll be
at the Fitchburg Store. And or you just want to
stop by four a high five. I have had a
bunch of people showing just popping by. Hey, haven't seen
you in a while. Good to see you. High five,
you know, peace out and that has been really enjoyable
as well.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Are you still sampling greens powder in the stores as well?

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, every mission trying to get folks to get more
greens in general in their diets.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So the Lively Greens powder, you can get a sample.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It actually tastes good because we have fruit extracts in
there as well, so you get all this antioxidant capacity.
But the actual taste is a lot better too, because
some of those greens powders out there can taste kind
of like your front lawn, and.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
So you want it to taste decent.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
And I chose this one based on content and taste
profile because I wanted my kids to be able to
take it as well. So Lively Greens has seven servings
of vegetables in it and four servings of fruits, kind
of similar to if you were to juice those items
and then freeze dry them. That's the powder, and then
you get the adaptogens in there which help with energy

(03:01):
and stress. So it's become our stores number one selling
product is this Lively Fruits and Greens powder, and it's
because you're getting seven servings of greens, four servings of fruits,
so a lot of that which is advertised might be
like one or two total servings between fruits and vegetables.
So you're either getting a very low profile or you're

(03:23):
getting a good profile. But the taste is just so
darn bad it's hard to stick to for most people.
So I've been real proud of the lively greens and yeah,
come get a sample.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
That is awesome. Yeah, so we stop on in, you
get a high five from Tim, You get to try
the lively greens, the powder, and then and you're on
You're what a great what a great day to do that.
We think about west Side, Fitchburg Sun Prairie locations. As
to mention it's Wednesday, I mean tay, he's hanging out
the Fitchburg location from ten until five to day. You'd
love to see you, love to give you that high five.
Speaking of getting a chance to chat with Tim, I

(03:53):
get to do it each and every week, and of
course you can always join us. We'd love to hear
from you. Telful number to get on the air six
two one thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three two
one thirteen ten. Had some great questions, great calls last week.
Let's keep that up this morning. If you've got a
question for Tim, would love to have you join us
right now at six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
That's six oh eight three two one thirteen ten. And

(04:15):
a great thing to Tim. So when folks call in,
you give him a little thank you for taking the
time out of the day, don't you do?

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Sure do twenty five dollars thank you gift card that
can be used online or in one of our stores,
just for sharing a testimony around your health or a
question that you have where you're curious what natural alternatives
might help with a health challenge.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
So now's a good time to call six.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Oh eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six eight
three two one thirteen ten. Gets you right on the
air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place, and Tim
will get you a little thank you, a little twenty
five dollars gift card as a token appreciation for for
taking the time to call us this morning. Another way
to reach Tim is via the emails Tim at finds
your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim tim at find

(04:58):
your Healthy Place dot com. We've got an overflowing email bag.
We'll get to Sarah's question. Now, as a matter of fact,
Sarah says, I've been trying different multi vitamins, but I'm
not sure if I'm actually absorbing the nutrients. How do
I know which form is best for bioavailability and my
body's needs? And that question comes to us from Sarah.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, Sarah, that's a super good question.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
And that was one of the areas that kind of
attracted me to the supplement industry is the variance and
sort of the difference between different supplements in general.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
And there is a guide that I.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Used for many years called the Comparative Guide to Nutritional
Supplements by Lyle McWilliams. He is a bunch of different
editions now and he compares and rates all these different
multivitamins based on these eighteen judgments of criteria. And most
of the mass market you know, not to pick on anybody,
but we've all heard of one a Day and heard

(05:53):
a centrum and sort of these mass market multivitamins, and
then you know grocery stores in that will private label
with like centrum or one a Day, so it's like
the same product and you get these heat compressed sort
of synthetic ingredients that are sourced from places that you know,
we're concerned a little bit around heavy metals, maybe things

(06:15):
like arsenic, And the FDA doesn't really regulate the supplement industry,
so you got got to be aware of those things.
And absorption kind of, as you mentioned, bioavailability is you know,
the most important component just about when it comes to
taking supplements. I mean it's like quality, purity, absorption, I

(06:35):
mean those are the big ones. Price, those are the
big you know, maybe three or four things to look
at with any supplement. So I always encourage someone to
get either educated themselves enough to be able to choose
a higher quality multivitamin or get somebody on your team
that can. So that's one of the services the Healthy
Place obviously provides. And just to give you a couple examples,

(06:57):
you look at a basic multi vitamin. You might have
a scorbic acid vitamin C, which is fine, but a
calcium scorbate vitamin C you'll absorb four times greater. So
you know, to one hundred milligrams hundred milligrams you absorb
the calcium a scorbate form of vitamin C four times
greater B twelve. I like to bring up sign kabaloman
is what's mass produced that's synthetic. Your liver has to

(07:19):
convert it. In that conversion process, you lose a lot
of a lot of the content. You don't absorb it well.
So if you get BE twelve in a methacobalamin form
that's the bioactive, your liver doesn't have to convert it,
so you have absorption is much higher.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You feel a nice energy burst.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
So bottom line, if you take a higher quality multi vitamin,
you're gonna feel a nice energy boost, You're gonna feel
stress reduction, you're gonna feel more mental clarity and focus.
And then the fourth thing that we hear consistently reported
back from our community is hair, skin, nail benefits after
a couple months from a quality multivitamin. Those are the
things that if you're not feeling and seeing those things,

(07:57):
you're not really taking a quality vitamin. So we obviously
have our brand so Lively multi Vitamin is our top
selling multi in our stores, has those higher quality forms.
We also carry Terry Naturally's though Megafood. There's a number
of really good brands, and then there's a lot more
not so good brands.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
What I mean, sorry, I mean to one of the
things too about and I think of like with a multivitamin,
what a great feature. And I don't know that we've
ever talked about it on the website finds your Healthy
Place dot com. I guarantee you can do it in
stores as well. Is the subscription is for folks that
are if if it's something like a multivitamin that you're
taking each and every day, how convenient is that you

(08:36):
get the subscription And and oh even better, you could
save a little bit of money too as well by
by subscribing with this stuff, can't.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
You misure Ken? Yeah, you save an additional five percent.
And for me, I'm super consistent with things when it's
on a subscription because I'm paying for it and it's
something I want to stay on top of, and the
fact that I know it's coming the next month keeps
me taking it, you know, each morning, each day and
sort of keeps me on track. So yeah, I think

(09:06):
for a lot of people, showing that subscription is super
handy and you save that extra five percent. We haven't
officially announced it, but we're also doing in store pickup now,
so you can schedule things online, schedule it and pick
it up at your store of choosing an hour or
two later, but that all that information is going to
be online here soon.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
But yeah, anyway, yeah, thanks for coming on the subscription.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
That's amazing, Tim. I'm always amazed by the new stuff
going on it. Then all the stuff that's happening at
the place on.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
My team, I kind of hop that they just kind
of carry me along. Yeah, well you know what the
cool thing?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, having great people around that is that is great
to see and great to be aware of as well.
If you got a question for Tim, we'd love to
have you join us this morn telful number to get
on the program six soh eight three two one thirteen
ten at six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
Love to get your question, or maybe you've had an
experience at the Healthy want to share your story. We'd
love to hear from you. Also again the number six
oh eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six oh

(10:06):
eight three two one thirteen ten. You can learn more
about the Healthy Place online find your Healthy Place dot com.
That's fine your Healthy Place dot com of course, three
locations west side of Madison, Sun Prairie and Fitchburg. Of course,
today is Wednesday. That means Tim is hanging out at
the Fitchburg location. Love to see you today from ten
until five, and you can learn more online finds your
Healthy place dot com. That's fine, your Healthy Place dot com.

(10:29):
And Tim just kind of looking at the emails. We've
got a bunch of different things too, So we talked
a little bit about multivitamins and how great they are.
And then James writes and he says, been struggling with
low energy for months and even though I sleep well,
uh and eat fairly clean, could it be a deficiency?
And what supplements should I consider starting with? And that
email comes to us from James.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Yeah, James, very good question.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
So that's kind of why this Lively Greens sort of
took off in our stores is people in general have
this lower energy overall.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Their stress tends to be a little bit high. Overall.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Sleep is on and off for different people. But your
bodies adrenal, glands, and glandular system is all affected by stress.
So we're all at sort of a different place on
this continuum. And for James's question, the Lively Greens has
this adaptagen blend in here, so you have these herbs
that are helping your body adapt to stress and strengthening

(11:30):
your adrenal glands, which launches your energy production. And then
you get all of these phido nutrient rich you know,
greens and fruit extracts, similar to juicing those items and
then freeze drying them, and then you have this brain
new tropic blend in there too, so then your mental

(11:52):
clarity and focus. So anyway, people feel this nice burst
from the lively fruits and greens powder. And then I
like to recommend this. It's called Fatigue to Fantastic. It's
on our websites and our stores. It has a full
like amino acid blend profile, and it's in a powder
as well, So you do a scoop of the greens,
scoop of the Fatigue to Fantastic.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
It's an energy revitalizer.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
It rebuilds your body's ability to produce energy, which is
really cool. So between those two powders, we've had such
a success in folks really feeling the difference because everyone
knows about caffeine and we don't really need more caffeine.
And then and then we've been working with a lot
of other neotropics and herbs and recharging mitochondria a lot

(12:36):
of different angles you can take on building. But these
two products, these two powders, the lively greens and the
energy revitalizer fatigue to fantastic. Those two powders mix together
like I feel a nice boost every day, and when
I don't take it, I really feel the difference. And
I like knowing that I'm doing something to rebuild my
body's natural energy production. And so those are a couple

(12:59):
of good points for games.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Talking this morning with Tim O'Brien fro.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Email me to Timatt find your Healthy Place dot com.
I could shoot you a few links and anyone else
that's listening tim Att find your Healthy Place dot com.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
I can send a couple links.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
And you can, of course I mentioned the website the
email tim at find your Healthy Place. You can also
call in this morning love to have you join us
six oh eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six
oh eight three two one thirteen ten. Love to get
you on the program with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.
He will hook you up with twenty five dollars a
little thank you for taking the time to join the program.
And Tim, I look at the look at the forecast

(13:34):
and uh hot, humid and I start thinking about electro lights,
and I also start thinking about staying hydrated and doing
good things for your body. And I obviously when we
think about sports and fitness, we think about that stuff.
But even just overall, people don't seem to be drinking
enough in the right stuff when it comes to keeping hydrated,
do they yet?

Speaker 3 (13:55):
No, And I have actually gotten into trouble myself shown
in the past with severe dehydration. And it's one of
those reminders that we sort of shelve and say, oh,
you know, yep, I should be drinking more water or
up you know, the Wisconsin up. I should be getting
decent sleep up. I should be managing my stress up.

(14:19):
I should be planning my meals, you know, and we
sort of can be doing a lot of the right things.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
You know.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
I've been, you know, just thinking to myself, I've been
working out consistently. You know, my my wife Becky and
co owner you know, the company. She's an amazing chef,
and you know, cooks very clean for our family. And
there's some things I'm doing that are healthy. But but
these other areas like staying hydrated, or like managing stress
or like you know, choosing sleep over more work.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Things like that are really important.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
And I think what I'm you know, I'm forty now,
so I've been sort of reflecting, and you know, you
just start to consider like you can't get away with
not prioritizing those basic health responsibilities, Like if you care
about your loved ones and if you care about yourself
and your future, then you have to prioritize those things.

(15:13):
That's not like a for me, at least I did
it for the greater good.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Right.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
I have five kids, and I have a business, and
I have a mission and a vision and something I'm
trying to do in the community. I'm trying to help
people like whatever help, you know, educate, and I can
place that in front of my basic health. And I
used to kind of laugh at on the airplanes with
the parents. You know, hey, adults, put the action mask on,

(15:39):
oxygen mask on yourself first before you put it on
your kid. Like I'd almost make fun of it, like
I would die before i'd put it on. You know,
It's like, well, no, if you care about your kid,
you actually do put the oxygen mask on first. And
that's just I think a good reminder for all of us.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Really great ye hydrate.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Really it's important stuff stay hydrated, and of course they've
got great stuff the Healthy Place to help you.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Whether you're g's some electrol I mean for me, I
just share this real quick. I when I am consistent
with electrolytes in my water, I drink so much more water.
And it's sort of embarrassing to say. And I think
it's because it tastes soed aren't good. So whether you
get a brand like Element or Noon Tabs or Great

(16:26):
naturally we have a bunch of options at the store
and online, but you can buy them everywhere, Like if
that helps you stay hydrated, like get some electrolytes in you,
and that creates what's called a hypotonic solution in your bloodstream,
which means your bloodstream is fully hydrated with the minerals
you really want.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Talking this morning with Tim O'Brien from The Healthy Place too,
got time for your question. Your call I gotta do
is pick up phone dial in six eight three two
one thirteen ten. That's six so eight three two one
thirteen ten. You can learn more about The Healthy Place
on their website, find your Healthy Place dot com. That's
all one word, Find your Healthy Place dot com. Follow
them on Facebook and social media including platforms as well

(17:04):
like Instagram and YouTube as well against Find your Healthy Place.

Side location, sun Prairie or Fitchburg. Never forget today being
a Wednesday. Tim is hanging out at the Fitchburg location
every Wednesday, that includes today from ten until five. Love
to give you that high five, Love to see you
this morning. You can samp a little bit those green
the greenspowder and of course I start that journey today

(17:26):
as well. More of our conversation with Tim O'Brien from
The Healthy Place comes your way next here on thirteen
ten wib e can't touch this, can't touch this eight
fifty two thirteen ten WIBA hanging out with our good
friend Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online. Find your
Healthy Place dot com. That's all one word, Find your

(17:49):
Healthy Place dot com. Great day to get on in.
Whether it's the West side of Madison, Sun Prairie or
Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place. Cool thing. If you're
in the Fitchburg area on Wednesdays, that's today. Tim hangs
out there from ten until five. Love to see you,
Love to start a conversation with you love to give
you that high five, get on in again, whether it's
Fitchburg to see Tim, and of course the Wells the
consultants there also Wells Consultants at the West Side location

(18:12):
and Sun Prairie as well as online find your Healthy
Place dot com. Let's find your Healthy Place dot com. Uh, Tim,
Before we get back to the emails, I was going
to ask you a little bit about the Healthy Place,
And of course Fitchburg is very special to you. That
is the that's the original location of the Healthy Place,
isn't it.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Oh yeah, yep.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
We opened in twenty ten and that was the Fitchburg store,
twenty fifteen was Sun Prairie and then twenty eighteen was
our beloved West Madison over on Junction Road store.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
So yeah, Fitchburg also.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Happens to be the closest to my home, so that
works out, and the office over here in Fitchburg. So
I have been very much so enjoying being in that
store because twenty ten to twenty twenty I was there
like near every waking hour, six days a week, closed
on Sundays, and then transitioned over to my office to
work on the company. And then five years later, like
I said about six months later or six months ago,

(19:06):
came back into the stores on Wednesdays, and it's just
I didn't realize how important it was for me to
stay connected with the community, Like I didn't realize how
much I enjoyed that and how much I enjoyed being
able to guide somebody specifically in their health. I work to,
you know, train our wellness consultant army on asking questions

(19:27):
and you know, touching their heart before you ask for
their hand, like its souls before sales.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
This is about.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Finding help for them. You know, we intentionally don't do commission.
So I'm just training all these things for these last
five years and to get to do it again is
just like stepping into or getting on my old bike
that I had as a teenager and cruising around my
subdivision and towards Mukwanago is where I grew up, towards
Waukeshaw and it's just been a blast on Wednesdays. So

(19:54):
so if you have health challenge, you know a loved
one or yourself, you know, all of our stores and
our wellness consultants are standing by and specifically if it's
helpful to talk to somebody that you've you.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Know, you know, on the radio.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Here Sean, I'm thinking, like, we get to know each other,
we get to know the community. And as they've been
coming into the stores introducing themselves and like, hey, I've
listened to your show for some years. You know, I've
found encouragement on this area or that area is helpful
to me. And that stuff makes my day when that's shared.
But the other thing is it makes that that entry
point maybe easier for some people where it's kind of like, I.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Don't want to be sold. I've never been in the
Healthy Place before.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
I kind of want to see stick the big toe
in you know, the Fitchburg store on Wednesdays when I'm
in there, you know you might you might know me
a little bit through the radio and maybe I can
help you in a health challenge. So it's sort of
an invitation.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
There and it's a great thing too, and it's it's
no pressure. It's really about what's best for you. And
the other thing to Tim, I know, we talk about
about your personal story and in the background of the
Healthy Place, the other thing too, using that word personal,
I also think about what you're doing for folks that's personal.
As we talk about you getting back into the stores.

(21:05):
This is you know, people's health. People that come into
the healthy place, it's important to you. It's a personal
mission of yours to make sure that they're leaving there
in a bad place.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
They're literally so many in our community are suffering, and
that's real. And then the other thing, the other half
is living a quality of life that could be better.
And a lot of folks sort of get used to
the equality of life that they have and they say, okay,
until my doctor says, I have some sort of red

(21:35):
alert going off, and the alarms are going off, I'm
sort of gonna maintain what I have going on because
there's a lot of pressure, you know, people have families
and community stuff and busy lives.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
So health is just the easiest to say nope.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
And the body is so resilient and so incredible how
it maintains itself. You know, sometimes we look around, we're like,
how are we all still alive? With the amount of
chemicals and toxins and and the way we sort of
abuse our bodies sometimes and not pay attention to x
y Z even though we know x y Z, you know.
And so that's the whole thing is if we can

(22:14):
spark that in people in general and educate them on
basic things like the sequence of that which you eat,
you know, like vegetables first, then proteins, fats, then then
your your carbs, and your your sugar starch.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Because if you do it.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
In that order, you'll you'll lose weight and you'll have
less brain fog and you have less sugar spikes and
glucose spikes just because of how it digests. You know
that twenty fifteen Cornell University study that sort of substantiated
that idea and hydration. You know, we just sort of
remind where we want to be that resource where we
sort of remind the community of these most important things

(22:52):
and like challenge them a little bit, like your life
is a gift, your your health is a gift, and
they're worth fighting for, Like, don't give up. There's reason
to believe that we'll find some breakthrough. If this idea,
this supplement doesn't work, then come back. I'm here every Wednesday,
like ten to five.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Bring it back.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
We don't want you to waste your money on something
that doesn't work. Like we'll try this second idea and
between you know, a couple of different ideas and a
few months journying with people. The amount of success we
have is remarkable, and I like to go to my
reviews you know, on Google and Facebook and just what
I personally need a little bit of encouragement, like, Okay,

(23:29):
we are making a difference because you can just see
the greater need in Dane County, which is a lot
of suffering in people not living quality of life, which
is why we're opening a clinic you know in some months,
and why we're hiring functional medicine doctors and license natural paths,
and why we're gonna, you know, help help educate more
around why a full women's panel once a year is

(23:49):
so important, why a full men's panel once a year
is so important, So you can know what's going in
on your body, because there's like nineteen percent of people
out there that have a terminal illness that literally don't
even know it. And if we can find these things,
and if we can strengthen and influence epigenetics, which is
above genetics, it's that which you can influence through supplements
and diet and healthy activity. If we can sort of

(24:12):
connect these dots for the community as a community, right
because it's like we can't do it alone. So we
have all these other warriors out there that are educating
around natural alternatives and healthy living and you know times
and you know, I love our medical system so much.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
In Madison.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
We have some of the most brilliant doctors and most
kind nurses and you know, intelligent pharmacists like in the
world in Madison, and we get to partner with them.
So the big question is like the next you know,
we just celebrated fifteen years for the Healthy Place, and
it's like the next fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
What, Okay, We've moved the needle.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
Fine, I'm like, okay, grateful for that, and how do
we move the needle not more the next fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Because like the amount of pharmaceutical.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Drugs with side effects of people not living quality of
life and their bodies being ruined over it, and like
the amount of unneeded and unnecessary surgeries and x Y
where people are living with these things, Like it's what
they're sort of that our system is sort of set
up for. And it's like education. I'm so thankful for

(25:16):
medical intervention all over the place, and it's like, how
do we live healthier lives? How do we plant our
plants into healthy soil? And so as a team, as
a community, that's our mission is to educate around that
