speaking of today being a Wednesday, you know what that

(01:11):
means from ten until five, Tim, where are you going
to be today between.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
At the Fitchburg store, baby? Yeah, and of five Every
Wednesday ten to five, I'm getting back in the stores.
I'm loving it. You should stop in if you're listening,
and I would love to have a health consultation. You
say you have a specific problem you're battling, you're curious
on like what natural alternative can help for you or
a loved one, or you want to pop on, just

(01:35):
give me a high five. There's so many in the
community that I haven't seen for years. Each Wednesday, Sean,
it's been like a some sort of like coming together reunited.
There's ten or fifteen people each day that are like, bro,
I haven't seen you for five years type of conversations
going and I am really enjoying it. So if I haven't
seen you for a little while, pop in, give a

(01:56):
high five. Love to get caught up with you and
in general to the community. I'm My very favorite thing,
Sean has always been consultation. So if you have not
checked out the Healthy Place and you're kind of curious
what natural alternative could help you live, like maybe with
a little bit less suffering in a certain area of
your health or a better quality of life, you know,
energy focus, stress reduction. You're just curious what natural alternatives

(02:20):
have been working for our community. I am working at
the Fitchburg store ten to five every Wednesday and would
love to have a consultation and high fives.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Not mandatory, but highly encouraged. That is.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
It's just it's encouraging. You know, who doesn't like a
good high five? Even if you're gumpy, you're like high five. Sure,
you know, just feel a little better after high five.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Well, ray of sunshine. It's and it's, as you mentioned,
just a great opportunity for folks. I know a lot
of folks that have had a chance to join us
on the program each and every week, and I really
wanted to have a chance to talk with you in person.
What a great opportunity that is. Again, Tim is at
the Fitchburg location on Wednesdays, that is today from ten
until five. Love to see you if you're on the
West Side or Sun Prairie. Don't feel left out. Fantastic

(02:59):
wellness can Elton's there hanging out at both locations, all
three locations that a matter of fact for you, and
the website finds your Healthy Place dot com. That's fined
your Healthyplace dot com. And've got the phone lines open
for you also at six eight three two one thirteen ten.
That's six so eight three two one thirteen ten. Left
to have you join us this morning with your question.
And I know Tim one of the there's so many reasons

(03:20):
why folks get into the Healthy Place. One of the
things I've really loved, and a kind of a recent
addition to the Healthy Place to spend that grab and
go section of really really delicious foods great snacks that
are actually good for you, which seems like that's not possible.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yes, yeah, usually, you know, healthy foods are just super costly,
so that ties in with Becky and I's strategy of
reducing the costs of our whole grab and go section.
So if you compared, you know, say you're looking at
like go. Macro bars are popular in Madison Life aid drinks, Masala,
you know, kombucha drinks is a home to Madison here

(03:58):
and you you just compare element you know, Sparkling, Electrolyte, Guayaki,
your Ramante, Jocko energy drink, like you compare it to
anywhere else in the city, and it's thirty to fifty
percent lower price. So it just makes it attainable for
people because you know, I can speak personally, it's tough
when you got a family and you want to be
eating cleaner, but it's so darn expensive. So this is

(04:21):
one small thing that we wanted to do for Madison.
So yeah, stop in check our grab and go section, bars, snacks, drinks,
all at significantly lowered costs. We're going to try to
do it for a couple years, sean, just to invest
in the community and maybe keep it there forever is
the goal. But anyway, for at least for now.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Who doesn't love beef sticks too? By the way, I
mean chomps. Can you go wrong?

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Now?

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Can you go wrong? There?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
So good? No, there's like the deer ones and the
beef ones and the turkey ones and they're all so yummy.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah, check those out. Get in today as is you're
driving around town. If you're near the West Side, fitchburgersun
Prairie location, just stop on in, grab a couple of
snacks for yourself, say hello to the wellness consult and
then know that you've done You've done something good for
yourself and you're gonna make yourself happy. It's always a
great day to get into the Healthy Place GUD whether
it's Fitchburg, Westside, Madison or Sun Prairie location. Fold minds

(05:16):
are open for you right now at six eight three
two one thirteen ten. That's six eight three two one
thirteen ten. Love to have you joined us this morning. Also,
if you've got a question, you can always email Tim
at find your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim tim
at find your Healthy Place dot com and Nina email.
She says, with the school year underway, my six year
old daughter has already had two ear infections. I know

(05:37):
antibiotics aren't a long term answer. What are some natural
approaches for managing ear infections? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
That email from Nina, and that is a great question.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, Nina, really solid question. You know, Becky and I
have five kids and we have been down the ear
infection uh alleyway be in the past, and so we've
personally seen some great success with a few different things
they'll bring up. And it's a common battle struggle in
our community. You know, lots of kids in our community

(06:10):
and lots of ear infections pop up. So we've had
a chance to really refine this one as a wellness
consultant sort of community or resource. So garlic oil drops,
Garlic oil drops are unbelievably successful. Garlic is nature's natural antibiotic.
So you get the ear drops, you know, we sell them.

(06:31):
Garlic melane is sometimes another herb that's found in there.
Garlic drops, though you drop a few drops in each
side of the ear a couple times a day. That
has been profoundly successful. People just need to know about that.
Everybody needs to know about that. And then I like
to recommend a good immune boosting supplement because for whatever reason,

(06:52):
their little bodies are losing the race against the infection.
So elderberry supplement. I love Lama Naturals as a brand.
They use all natural, organic puree to sweeten so Elderberry
gummies and probiotic gummies. Lama Natural too. They both taste
delicious if your kids like the taste of them, they'll
be more consistent. The content quality is great. So those

(07:15):
are the three big things I recommend. And the circle
that people go and shan often with kiddos is the
ear infection takes root, you know, the caring parent takes
them to the doctor. They get an antibiotic, They administer
the antibiotic. You know, week or two, ear infection's gone. Great,
everything's back to normal. But what they don't know is

(07:36):
like that antibiotic sort of like wipes out all the
healthy bacteria in the little bodies as well. So now two, three,
four months later, the kiddo develops another ear infection. So
rinse and repeat, you know, you go back to the doctor,
get the antibiotic again, administer the antibiotic you know now
and ear infection's gone. But then two or three four
months later again, you know, another ear infection, and this

(07:58):
cycle repeats until little kiddos get tubes you know, replaced
in the ears. And if we can avoid all of that,
which we are incredibly successful in avoiding, please check out
the healthy place. Doesn't have to be my store, but somewhere,
get garlic drops, get the probiotics going the Elderberry. You
will be successful. It is so consistently successful. I would

(08:21):
highly recommend it to you, Nina, and anybody else listening
with kids.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
What a fantastic question, and it's it's interesting when you
highlight to Tim kind of that cycle that folks can
get in and getting that cycle broken and something as
simple as a quality probiotic and I know it's.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Right or garlic drops like you hear about it. At
first you think like what, but people literally just get
in this sort of cycle of just getting drugs, treating
with drugs, having these side effects, and then you know,
drugs lead to more drugs typically and then eventually surgery
later in life. So it's just if we can avoid

(08:58):
or just know about. It's not even about convincing people
to go a certain way. It's like if you can
just know about the natural alternative for your own tool
belt and then in those cases perfectly deciding like hey,
should I do this for my kid or that for
my kid? And then you know, but having that knowledge
is what's lacking right now, and that's where we're trying
to get out there.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
And that's a great thing as we talk about sharing
of that knowledge and questions and I know it's very
much at the Healthy Place a very important things. People
come into questions, getting answers and getting an opportunity. We
talk about chatting with the wellness consultants, helping helping you
live that healthy life and of course your family as well.
It's always a great day to get on in whether
it's the Fitchburg location where Tim is on Wednesdays, that's

(09:36):
today from ten until five, west Side location or sun Prairie.
Get in today to the Healthy Place, start that conversation,
make that right decision to start living healthier, being healthier
and being happier overall. Another thing too, as we talk
with Tim each and every week, is a great opportunity
to get on the air. If you've got a question

soh eight three two one thirteen ten, we'll get you

(09:58):
right on there with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.

That's find your Healthy Place dot com. Even better, stop
on in whether it's the west side of Madison, Fitchburg
or sun Prairie location of the Healthy Place. Take your

(10:19):
call next. We'll also talk I was going to want
to ask him about vitamin D. As we kind of
get into these get into these late fall into winter
kind of days, I think a lot of us start
thinking about vitamin D and sunshine and what can we do.
We'll find out from Tim on that and take your call.
Next is every day Outdoor'll excuse me? Asked the experts
with the Healthy Place continues right here on thirteen ten
wuib A thirteen ten wib A eight forty nine talking

(10:43):
with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online. Find you
your Healthy Place dot com. Let's find your Healthy Place
dot com. Great to get on in, whether it's westside,
Fitchburg or sun Prairie location of the Healthy Place. Also
learn more on Facebook social media including Instagram at find
your Underscore. Healthy Place. Got a great YouTube channel with
a lot of great information. Great day to get on in.
Grab some of those grab and go snacks, grab some information,

(11:06):
you've got a question or a concertned chat with a
well its consultant. They've got all of that so much
more covered at the Healthy Place. And tim, as I'm
looking out the window, I see their sun and I'm thinking, goodness,
I love it. I look at the forecast and I
see their snow and overcast skies, and I know that
daylight is shorter. So we have to enjoy what we can,
how we can vitamin D and just kind of sun does.

(11:28):
It's interesting to think about, but sun just plays like
an overall huge role and not only our spirit and mood,
but it also there's also for our overall health, getting
sunshiner and vitamins. These are very very important things to
our overall well being, aren't they.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yeah. I mean it's like incredible to me what the
right nutrients does in the human body and how much
that impacts how we feel. And I think a lot
of us have grown up with this idea that, you know,
food is important maybe, but it doesn't control how we
feel for whatever reason. And we kind of have drugs

(12:08):
to reach for for when problems arise. So like you know,
in a car, you're driving a car, like the engine
light comes on and that's like there's something wrong, you know,
So if you're not eating well, for example, and you're
getting fatigue and headaches. You know, that's the engine light
coming on, like hey, there's something wrong. But then we
sort of reach for drugs that treat those symptoms instead
of like the root of the problem. So you just

(12:29):
bring up something simple like sunshine. And you know we
most people I think like sunshine. But you know, in
the wintertime and where we sit on the globe with
the angle that the sun hits the earth, between those
two we don't get you know, the vitamin D we
need from the sun. In these fall winter months, it's dark,
so often we're indoors more and energy is affected. You know.

(12:51):
Seasonal depression is a thing immune system gets hit, you know,
on top of coffin cold season, overall digestion even It's
a pretty interesting how many systems have a direct connection
with your vitamin D levels, and most people are vitamin
D deficient year round, let alone in the winter time

(13:12):
gets even worse. So highly highly encourage you to take
vitamin D supplement. Five thousand I use per day is
a great amount. One hundred and twenty five micrograms is
the other measurement that's the same as five thousand I
use per day, and you want to take your vitamin
D supplement with a vitamin K two. K two is

(13:34):
the natural version of vitamin K, so your body absorbs it,
receives it, assimilates it really well. And what is interesting
is when you take vitamin D in order to assimilate it,
your body utilizes its natural vitamin K stores, which is
why you want to take the vitamin K with the

(13:54):
vitamin D at the same time, so you kind of
get that collaboration going on. So five thousand I use
for kids. You know, a thousand I use is great.
It's really difficult to overdose on vitamin D. It's fat soluble,
so it's possible, but you have to take gobs. I've
had people take twenty to fifty thousand I use per
day for weeks or even months that were very low

(14:17):
on vitamin D, so they were keeping an eye with
getting a blood test to see where their vitamin D
levels are at. So I don't just throw that at everybody.
But the point is it's difficult to overdose. Five thousand
is a great dose through winter months, even ten thousand
for adults, and then a thousand I use for kids.
Stirs Lama Naturals. I brought them up earlier with the
ear infection question. Lama Naturals makes a great Vitamin D

(14:40):
taste good. They use all organic perae to sweeten it
naturally instead of any added like sugar, cane or glucose.
So I really like the Lama Naturals brand for kiddos
and Vitamin D throughout the winter months. Huge if you're
dealing with the seasonal depression, Vitamin d's number one. Number
two you need to know about a product called chill Pill.

(15:04):
Chill Pill has magnolia bark, which balances the cortisol stress hormone.
It has alphenine which calms the mind kind of those obsessive,
sort of obnoxious thoughts that won't leave you alone. And
then it also has five HTP, which is an amino
acid that uplifts and balances the serotonin levels, so you'll

(15:24):
find it uplifting the mood. Between those couple of things
moves the needle on the seasonal depression topic. A third
supplement very helpful if you're dealing with depression in general,
but also seasonal depression, is high levels of EPA DHA
from fish oil. Nordic Naturals is my favorite because they
have a two x ultimate omega. It's called Powerhouse EPADH.

(15:49):
Between those few things, we've been really helping people year
to year. Sean on the whole seasonal depression Vitamin D
deficiency conversation.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
What about solar Power, I know that's one of those.
I think as as you were talking there, if somebody
had mentioned to me this time of year, love Love's
their solar power supplement.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yeah, power there. Solar Power is our top seller for
the Vitamin D and Vitamin K combo. So yeah, I've
loved solar Power. They do good job. Lively Vitamin co
my brand, so I kind of am proud of it.
But yeah, you'll get you you have a five thousand
IU option with solar Power or a two thousand, So
the five thousands what I recommend, probably for adults, and

(16:31):
that has that vitamin K two right in there, and
that's called solar power. So yeah, thanks for bringing that up.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
You know, somebody had I don't remember who. Somebody brought
it up with me this past week and was not
I'm not surprised by this, was swearing by just how
you know, how much better they felt, and that is an.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Important interesting Yeah, and it's from leechin to the vitamin
D or like in okay, so it's a vegan LG
source versus the typical vitamin D is sourced from lanolin
like from the sheep, sheep skin and sheep.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Well, yeah, fascinating, And that's an important distinction to people
need to understand is as I think sometimes people think
if they take a supplement, they're they're doing it and
as they are, as you're doing it for your for
your overall health, and but you should notice and that's
what I Yeah, what's shocking to me is how you know,
like like a couple of months ago, when you had

(17:22):
mentioned that, I thought, you know, I don't think a
lot of people think about that, that you should feel
something from your supplement.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yeah, it's really a pepee is probably the wrong word.
It's more of a sense of sadness. Like, yeah, so
many people are taking supplements and I always give them
a high five because they're trying to take care of
their health. So it's it's like a high five, hey,
high five, And it's like people don't know that there's
a few very important points like what form are you

(17:50):
taking of that ingredient? Like what form? So like a
common one is fish oil. People think, hey, fish oil,
I'm taking fish oil. Fish Oil in itself doesn't have
a whole lot of value. It's the active ingredient inside
that has all the value. So if you're getting a
fish oil with not the right amount of active ingredients

(18:10):
EPA dha, then you're not going to feel the benefits
that can come from a high EPA DHA fish oil.
Another important point is the potency or the amount of
nutrients in a serving. So if you take a turmeric supplement,

(18:31):
you know that's the spice that colors curry orange, and
you're taking it because you've heard that turmeric kurcumin. You know,
maybe with some black pepper or whatever is good for pain,
you might take that and see, oh I saw a
little bit, or I didn't see any results. But if
you get a form like BCM ninety five kurkuman that
absorbs literally dozens and dozens of times better than a

(18:54):
kirkuman with black pepper, you're going to feel the results
in pain relief like so much higher. And so A
little secret in the supplement industry is the form of
the ingredient and the amount of the ingredient make all
the difference. So when somebody comes in and they're dealing
with a chronic issue, we'll recommend the therapeutic dose of

(19:17):
that supplement for two months to gain some breakthrough. So
if you're dealing with chronic you know, pain, stress, anxiety, depression,
sleep issues, digestive issues, depression, immune compromise problems, there's therapeutic
approaches to this that give you mega breakthrough that you'll
feel the difference. Like the goal is to feel a
difference pretty quick. With the right nutrients. It's incredible what

(19:40):
happens in the human body if you give it the
right nutrients, goes a long way.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
It is so great to hear and as we get
a chance to talk with Tim each and each and
every Wednesday morning at eight thirty. It's always a great
day though, to get into the healthy place, especially on Wednesdays.
If you're in the Fitchburg area, stop by say hello.
I know Tim would love to see you again.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
I will do it at the Fitchburg store today ten
till five. Come give a high five, and you're the
CEO of your own health. So take some darn action.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Never never a bad day, but there's always a great
day as well. To get in again. Fitchburg location, westside
Madison sun Pray today'sday to get into the Healthy Place. Tim.
It's always great chatting with you, my friend. You enjoy
this fantastic of days you two.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Sean, thanks for everything.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
And again the website find your Healthyplace dot com. That's
fined your Healthy Place dot com. Dan O'Donnell, he comes
your way next right here on thirteen ten wiv A
