Gets you right on the air with Tim O'Brien from

(00:37):
the Healthy Place, speaking of the Healthy Place. Great day
to get on in as well, whether it's the west
side of Madison, Sun Prairie or Fitchburg location of the
Healthy Place. And today is a Wednesday, And Tim, we
know what that means, don't we.

Speaker 1 (00:50):

work at the Fitchburg store. So that's just every Wednesday
ten to five. If you have I haven't pop by
and I haven't seen you for a little while, like
stop by give you a high five. Really enjoy seeing
the community. And then if you are someone that is
in need of a consultation for you or a loved one,

(01:11):
you know, that's my very favorite thing to do. So
stop on in today or any Wednesday. I'm working ten
to five and I always like to shout out our
army of wellness consultants that are at each of our stores,
Son Prairie, Fitchburg, westside of Madison. We work hard on
our education every day every week. We were learning about

(01:31):
methylene blue yesterday in a training for our wellness consultants,
and you know, we want to be on the cutting
edge when it comes to natural alternatives for your health.
There's a lot of people suffering out there, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, sleep,
and it's sort of our position linking arms with others
in this city that are working hard to find a

(01:52):
relief for people. And we have a great medical team,
we have a great university here in Adison, and we
also need to know more about natural alternatives. That's one
of our jobs and that's the resource that we love
to play. So in an invitation to stop by, call
email any one of our stores anytime. My email is

(02:13):
Tim at Findourhealthy Place dot com. Life is short, make
it a good one, and we want to try to.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Help and you do that each and that's one of
the cool things. You guys are able to do that
each and every day at the Healthy Place. And you know,
I know one of the reasons why you love love
phone calls as an opportunity to kind of demonstrate what
you guys are doing in the stores each and every day.
And speaking of those phone calls, of course, phone lines
are open right now at six oh eight three two
one thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three two one
thirteen ten. Love to get you on the air with

(02:39):
Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Get your question answered,
and Tim give a little thank you as well for
the folks to take the time to join us in
the morning, don't you.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Oh yeah, twenty five dollars gift card that can be
used on our website or in store as a thank
you for the question.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Phone lines are open. Love to get you on with
us this morning at six oh eight three two one
thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
Of course, Tim Brian comes to us from the Healthy Place.
The website Find your Healthy Place dot com. That's all
one word, finds your Healthy Place dot com. Also on
Facebook and social media including YouTube and Instagram. You can
find them on Instagram at find your Underscore Healthy Place.
Of course, they got a great YouTube channel as well.

(03:15):
And the phone lines are open for you right now.
Six oh eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six
so eight three two one thirteen ten. We'll get to
the emails as well in just a moment. But first
and foremost, Tim glucose and I feel like as I
watch like the nightly news and stuff, I'm seeing like
all these commercials with all these people that are very
happy and doing these boogies and stuff, and I thought,

(03:36):
this is this is an important conversation and an important topic.
And I know when I watch those commercially, I don't
just have a lot of questions about what's going on there.
Let's talk about some really important information when it comes
to glucose, glucose level and uh an order of eating.
This is a this is a big deal, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah? You know this is I've been looking forward to
this so I I've read Glucose Revolution and Outlived by
doctor Adia, and those two books have been sort of
turning my life around, because since twenty ten I have
been strongly and passionately educating the community around inflammation, specifically

(04:16):
being the number one sort of KPI key performance indicator
around your health. Like inflammation is the root of all
degenerative disease. Inflammation is or a big part of all
degenerative disease. Inflammation is a part of depression and things
like gut problems and chronic pain, Like all pain, inflammation
is the root of it. And so I talk all

(04:36):
the time about inflammation, and you know those things are true,
And what is the number one thing that fuels inflammation
in our life? Like ninety eight percent of the inflammation
that sort of occurs in our body is directly fueled
by glucose levels and glucose spike specifically, which a glucose

(04:56):
spike is anytime after you're eating that you spike more
than thirty thirty. I forget if it's an mg or
an mL, but anything higher than that thirty is detrimental
to your health and is like killing your nerves right now.
And then the other big metric with glucose is this
average glucose level and anything above one hundred is not

(05:20):
good you know. And I had a blood test come
back this last year where my levels were at one
oh four. I'm like, that is so interesting because I
don't eat a lot of sugar. So that sort of
started this this education train of reading some books and
gaining some more education. And I got one of those
continuous glucose monitors, you know where you kind of put

(05:42):
that in your arm, and two weeks on that, I'm like,
you've got to be kidding me, like very you know,
decent things I eat that are spiking my levels more
than that thirty level, and my average resting glucose levels
are still like above the one hundred mark, and it's like,
what is going on? So as I read, I mean
couple couple just mind numbing, sort of mind shattering pieces

(06:06):
of information that I had to get out as soon.
I'm I've been telling everyone in my family, everyone I know, like,
this is the metric to keep an eye on as
your glucose. So now on the radio here, I'm like, yes,
here's my chads. So so lost my train of thought.
Cornell Study, twenty fifteen. This is amazing Cornell University. Simply

(06:27):
changing the sequence that you eat your foods and that
is vegetables first, protein, fat second, then starches and sugars,
compared to the other group that ate the starches sugars first,
then carbs, fat, then vegetables. Okay, just this study the

(06:49):
field that you can lower two hours after the meal
your glucose levels by seventy three percent. Wow, that is
rivaling the impact of met Foreman. So in other words,
this just changing your sequence of eating was comparable to

(07:12):
taking met Foreman. And I'm not a doctor, a medical professional,
so please talk to your medical professional if you're you're
struggling with some of these things, just changing your order
will reduce your You know, doctor Audio is talking about
reducing the degenerative diseave of one of the four horsemen,
which is cardiovascar disease, dementia, cancer, and type of diabetes.

(07:35):
That's the four horsemen. Like reduce it by some obscene percentage.
I don't remember the percentage, but bottom line is the
most important KPI in your health is average resting glucose
levels and minimizing glucose spikes post eating. So highly encourage
you to connect with your medical professional on a CGM.
I mean I'm buying one for everyone in my company.

(07:57):
I mean, they got to go through the medical side
to get it prescribed, I believe, but we're gonna purchase
one for every employee or at least imitation with expect
you know, no expectations that I going to force people
to wear on the real time insights sean on your
glucose levels, like like for example, eating a bagel by itself,
or eating a bagel with almond butter on it, like

(08:20):
almond butter naked spike, almond butter with bagel with almond
butter on it, no spike, and you just start to
see some of this real time information which I have
more energy. Now. I've been wondering this last few years,
why is my energy down? I thought it was because
of babies, because I got a you know, we have
five kids, and we have a three year old that
still gets up once a night or so. And then

(08:40):
my you know, infant is you know, seventy four times
a night, just not a good sleeper. And I'm like thinking,
it's no sleep and it's like my average resting glucose.
So the more you learn about this, these glucose levels,
the more it impacts your health. So I want everyone
to know about this and that is my speech for today,
and I'll probably be talking about it next week too.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
That is well, and it's it's interesting when you it
makes as you kind of talk through this, it starts
to make sense as well about kind of that sequence
of eating and really you know, getting some of those
that fiber and those vegetables and kind of kybra caybohydrates
to hold.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You get out order, because like when you have starches
and sugar, so even a piece of fruit, right, we'll
have your sugars in it, so that that that you know,
say you're gonna have some orange juice. When you drink
that first, that goes straight to the you know, bottom
of your gut. I don't know the right way to
say that, and then then quickly is up into your
your blood streams spike in your insulin levels. But if

(09:33):
you have, say, say, your your eggs first, now that's
sitting and sort of sort of slowly being uptake, you know.
And so then the orange juice sits on top of
that and is more slowly released in the bloodstream, which
minimizes the spike, so you can still the really cool thing.
I mean, Okay, now I got to share my Mazirella sticks. Yes,
nights ago, I'm eating Mazzterrella sticks. You know, okay, I

(09:56):
know is junk food. This was so good though, So
I'm eating Mozzarelli sticks. And I did this twice in
the last month. Mazzarelli sticks drinking a protein sheet shake first,
no spike, Mozzarelli sticks by themselves, massive spike.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
So you know, while I shouldn't be eating Mozzarelli sticks
a whole lot, the point is you can still eat
the foods you love. Eating in the right sequence can
change everything around your health.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
That is absolutely amazing. And we talked to as we
get a chance to talk with Tim O'Brien from the
Healthy Police Place each week here at thirteen ten Wui
b A. We talk about obviously what goes on with
wellness consultant, what goes on at the Healthy Place locations
and stuff like this, these conversations where it's you know,
it's not all about well, what can we sell, it's

(10:44):
how can we help you? And I know that the
big mission for folks that may not be aware of this, Tim,
is the big mission at the Healthy Place is literally
that healthy part is it's really about healthy lifestyles and
helping people improve their overall health.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Is you know, that's why this all started answer and
she found some natural alternatives that helped her through the
chemo and radiation, and that was sort of inspiring growing up,
you know, And then I kind of caught a little
fire in the sense of when I was eighteen nineteen,
I'm like, Okay, life's a gift, and I think I'm
supposed to help other people realize that, and so then

(11:17):
how can I do that best? And it's like, oh, well,
supplements I'm kind of passionate about. So it's always been
more about life than it's been about you know, vitamin C.
I love supplements more than that I love people. And
it's always been incredible to me if you give your
body the right nutrients, what the body can do and
how much better your quality of life is. Like the

(11:38):
energy I'm feeling now, even after getting my glucose levels lowered,
is remarkable to me. And that sort of empowers me
then to bring that message to other people. And so
our wellness consultants we call them that instead of salespeople
A because we don't do commission, but be because we're
actually consulting with people. We're asking them questions around their

(11:58):
health and their history first, and then based on our experience,
we are giving our best recommendations around quality of products, supplements,
amino acids, herbs, antioxidants, sports products, even into the beauty
category in the sense of you know, hey, aluminum in

(12:19):
your deodorant is not great. There's an author of science
showing that connected to X y Z and the education
is around your whole life. And that's where I'm sort
of excited about this next season that we're moving into
because the question is is how can we link arms
with the community. How can we build a system of
sorts that helps educate our community, because folks have a

(12:43):
lot of struggle right now in relation to their health,
and a lot of folks in our communities don't really
understand that their energy being solo doesn't have to stay
that way forever, or their depression or their gut problems,
or their pain in their body, their immune system struggles,
and folks kind of keep driving every day on the

(13:05):
belt line one way and back of the other way
in the afternoon, like sort of accepting their lot in life.
And it's like we need to remind each other that
life is a gift worth fighting for health a gift
worth fighting for, and that's what our goal is at
the Healthy Place is sort of to be that reminder
to the community.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
And it's a great day to get on into the
Healthy Place. Whether you're on the west side of town,
Sun Prairie area or the Fitchburg location. They'd love to
see your smiling face. Great deal too. On a Wednesday,
that is today, Tim hangs out at the Fitchburg location.
Love to see you, love to consult with You'd love
to give you that high five. Stop on end. He'd
love to see again at the Fitchburg location between ten
and five. That's ten am until five pm every Wednesday

(13:44):
at the Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place. Of course,
wellness consultant standing by at all three locations as well
as online. You can start a conversation right at find
your Healthy Place dot com. Let's find your Healthy Place
dot com. I know big anniversary coming up for the
Healthy Place. We'll talk about that, we'll talk about some
other great stuff with Tim and take your call as
well as ask the experts with the Healthy Place. And

(14:05):
Tim O'Brien continues right here on thirteen ten WUIBA eight
fifty two thirteen ten Wiba and ask the experts brought
to you by the Healthy Place. Hanging out with our
good friend Tim O'Brien. Of course, Tim comes to us
from the Healthy Place online find your Healthy Place dot com.
That's all one word, finds your Healthy Place dot com.
Facebook and social media media including Instagram and YouTube you

(14:26):
can find at your Healthy Place there and a great
day of course to get on in say hello, they'd
love to see you. Whether it's Westside Sun Prairie or
Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place. Don't forget Wednesdays. That's today.
Tim O'Brien hangs out at the Fitchburg location. He would
love to see if you haven't seen him for a while,
we'd love to get caught up. Of course we've never
met Tim before. A great opportunity to get on in again.
Today's at the Fitchburg location until ten until five today

(14:50):
and Tim one of the things too as we as
we kind of talk each and every week about the
Healthy Place and we get a lot of great emails
and a lot of great calls. You guys really get
a chants each and every day. And we started this
conversation off this week talking about things that you've been
learning when it comes to order of eating, when it
comes to glucose levels and those type of things. This

(15:11):
type of information obviously you share with folks that come
into the healthy place, But you guys, as wellness consultants
and the team around you, Tim, you guys share this
information as well quite a bit with each other because
just the sheer number of folks that you guys are
working with.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Yeah, yesterday, every other Tuesday morning, we meet over at
our office in Fitchburg, all the wellness consultants and I
am at most of them, And yesterday we were doing
a training on methylene blue. And we meet every two
weeks on how can we add The question is how
can we add more value to the community. How can
we help them actually take more action on their health.

(15:50):
How can we actually move the meter when it comes
to say suffering or say quality of life, total amount
of pharmaceutical drug intake. You know, obviously they're working with
their medical professionals, and we want to encourage or at
least educate around natural alternatives to a lot of the
drugs out there and say surgeries. You know, we want

(16:11):
to educate and connect them with the medical professionals that
can help guide them away from unneeded surgeries. And there's
just a marriage of the medical community in Madison and
the Healthy Place. We've been working hard to link arms
with them as a natural alternative. Like I always like
to say, we have some of the most brilliant and

(16:33):
educated medical community in the world here in Madison. Such
a privilege, such something to be so grateful for. And
natural alternatives the education around that are also transformative. So
partnering with those in our community that are educating around
integrative or natural alternatives, and so yeah, the Healthy Place,
you know, the goal is to sort of be that

(16:55):
resource first and educate around the most important thing that
people need to.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Know, and it's it's it's a really great One of
the things I love as well is I get to
talk with folks that have had a chance to stop
on in and a little bit about their experience. And
I love hearing that feedback and learning about from other
people just what their experience was all about. Real quick
tim too. As we start this morning, I think a
lot of folks have noticed the past few days air
quality is is no bueno. And I know you have

(17:23):
you have asthma. I've had battles with asthma as well,
real quick. I just want to I just wanted to
ask you about that for folks that are that are
having concerns right now, maybe they have breathing issues and
other things you really want. Obviously one want to be
very very cautious with this, with this type of smoke
and soot in the air. But there are things you
can do to really help your body and and really
help your lungs as well, aren't there.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah, yep, a couple of things a big time. I mean,
my life as as growing up was plagued by asthma,
and you know, kind of grew up on predna zone
and beauter all the answer all servant, you know, all
the inhalers and and we didn't really know about natural
alternatives when I was very young. It's kind of like
as we were growing up, we learned more and more.

(18:06):
But Bosuilia from Frankinsonse is one of the most therapeutic
anti inflammatories that targets the inflammation in the lungs called
five locks, which is just different than say inflammation in
your joints and pain. Bosuelia a big one mulane lung
extract that is amazing as an herb for strengthening your

(18:29):
lungs and your airways. Time is another herb, very strengthening
to your lungs. So I take all three of those.
Another one, though, Sean, that I've been learning about, which
we don't currently sell, but we will starting maybe next week,
I think, is methylene blue. It's been a little bit
of a research train to dig into that. At first glance,

(18:51):
you know, hey, it's a die, it's synthesized in a
lab like be twelve shots, Like why is this have
twenty thousand published clinical trial and why do a lot
of natural paths work with it? And functional medicine doctors
And so I kind of started that education a couple
months ago. And it brings oxygen into your cells. So
you know, with asthma, obviously your blood oxygen levels are

(19:13):
pretty important to keep an eye on. So methylene blue
and same with sports athletes or COPD, some of these
aspects where you need more oxygen. It brings oxygen into
the cell, which has been remarkable for asthmatics, COPD, sports
athletes that are looking for increase endurance. So I'd put
that one on the radar and make sure to get
a pharmaceutical grade. We're working with a company called three

(19:35):
sixty five labs, which we'll have in stock, like I said,
like next week, and I would love to educate around
that if you.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Have questions that is, that's a great opportunity and a
great option as well. And that's a great thing too
about speaking of all the greats getting into the Healthy Place.
Fantastic day to do that. Start that conversation real quick, too, Tim.
I know we were getting tight on time, but this
is important. Of course, you guys are coming up on
fifteen years at the Healthy Place, and then it's so

(20:02):
cool to see. I was gonna say, isn't that amazing?
And I'm like, that's not surprising that the kind of
work in the what you guys do with the Healthy Blaze,
it's not surprising as well. But I'm gonna guess that
you guys are gonna have gonna have some some stuff.
Folks really want to be paying attention to follow along.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yep, June twenty sixth, the official day. Fifteen years ago,
we were just running, running, running, like Pittsburgh Store was first,
like let's get all the last second stuff and why
isn't the paint done? And you know, trying to get
all the deal details. So fifteen years later, I mean, wow,
so much has changed. You know, we have three stores now,

(20:39):
we have a beautiful website and warehouse in Fitchburg. We
have five kids that we didn't have fifteen years ago.
Becky and I are still together, So that's the plus
and rock and rolling like like never before with like
new ambitions and you know, a clinic we're working on,
and you know, conversations around how to add more value
and like the joy factors gone up compared to fifteen

(21:00):
years ago, just in a few different ways. And it
is a celebration. So the week of the twenty third,
Becky and I with our kids and our team will
be celebrating that whole week of fifteen years at the
Healthy Place, bringing value over one hundred thousand unique customers
that we've been able to serve in our area. Like
what a dream, something to be thankful for. And I'm

(21:23):
just rolling up. We're just rolling up our sleeve, Sean,
because the next fifteen years we want to triple our
effectiveness in overall educating and empowering and sort of inspiring
our community because they matter, and folks need to remember that.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
It's exciting times and it's of course it also reinforces
for folks that don't currently follow the Healthy Place on
social media. Make sure you're doing that. It's always a
best day though, to get on and say hello. They'd
love to see you. Whether it's West side Fitchburger's sun
Pray location that the place. Don't forget Wednesday's Fitchburg tim
ten am until five pm. Love to see you there.
Stop on end. Mister O'Brien, always gret chatting with you,

(22:01):
my friend. We'll talk real soon.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Thanks for the time showing YouTube brother.
