Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, yo yo, mister Privil, howre you doing good? Sir?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm doing great. It is so exciting to talk with you.
And we got a lot of cool stuff to talk about.
Exciting times at the Healthy Place. I know last week
and we talked a bit on the program celebrating fifteen
years with the Healthy Place, which is just awesome. Sixteen
years of marriage. Congratulations again to both you and Becky
and and your great family. And we've got a lot

(00:25):
of fun stuff to talk about this morning as well.
Speaking of fun stuff and great opportunities, great time right now.
If you've got a question for Tim, we would love
to have you join us this morning, get you right
on the air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.
Helpful number six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
That's six so eight three two one thirteen ten. We'll
get you on the air with Tim O'Brien from the
Healthy Place, and Tim will give you a nice little
thank you for taking the time. Tim, let's talk a

(00:46):
little bit about a little bit what you have in
store for folks when they call in with a great question.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yeah, I like questions.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
The Healthy Place, you know, we're a supplement vitamin store,
so we have thousands of products and there's a lot
of people suffering different conditions, issues, problems, chronic pain, uh,
or they just want to live a better quality of life,
and a question is kind of the starting place, like
how do I naturally treat my chronic pain? You know,
there's very successful natural alternatives, inexpensive ways to treat pain,

(01:16):
and really most of what's in the human body, there's
there's natural alternatives that are working in our community. And
so we give a twenty five dollars thank you for
calling in with your question, and that can be used
on our website or in our stores for that twenty
five bucks. But I love to demonstrate Sean what our
wellness consultants do in our stores hundreds of times per
day because the community comes in asks the question and

(01:38):
because of the education that we've worked so hard on
figuring out and what's natural alternatives to recommend, we've been
real successful in helping people those questions.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
So now's a great time to call.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Prime opportunity to get you right on the air with
Timobrian from The Healthy Place telf pH number six SO
eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six so eight
three two one thirteen ten. You can learn more about
the Healthy Place right on their website, find your Healthy Place.
That's all one word, finds your Healthy Place dot com.
Great website and resource. You can start a conversation also
on a chat with the Wills consultant right online. You

(02:07):
can also order online as well. Again that website finds
your Healthy Place dot com. Speaking of being on the
internet and the computers, if you're on social media, and
who isn't these days, you can find Tim and the
team at the Healthy Place. Whether it's their Facebook, they
got a great YouTube channel Instagram. I know Instagram is
such a cool platform at find your underscore Healthy Place.
You will find them there. Speaking of finding the folks
the Healthy Place, whether you're on the West side of

(02:29):
Madison or sun Prairie or Fitchburg, they've got wellness consultants
standing by at all three locations. And Tim, I'm looking
at the calendar. It says Wednesday, which leads me to
believe something specially goes on Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
We got ten to five every Wednesday over at the
Fitchburg store, and Sean knows it's my favorite day of
the week. Yes, because I get to work with all
the community that I spent ten years with six days
a week from twenty ten to twenty twenty before I
got an office and started working in the office a
little bit. So every Wednesday, I'm at the Fitchburg store

(03:01):
ten to five. Like, my sole goal in being there
is to be a resource to the community, connect with
the community, connect with other businesses in the community, and
work together because we have this huge mission shone of
minimizing suffering, increasing quality of life, working with our medical professionals,

(03:24):
linking arms to minimize the amount of unneeded pharmaceutical medications
which has all of its host of side effects and
damages the body, and some of the unneeded surgeries going on,
working with our medical professionals that know what's going on there,
like how do we take dang County and move the
meter on like total life expectancy and total quality of
life and such like that. So I'm like, you know,

(03:45):
I'm just a little business, right and Dan, but I'm like,
come on, if we all get you know, get a
plan and work together, maybe we can do something beautiful
in the next ten years.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It's really exciting. And of course, speaking of marking time
and of course this past week celebrating fifteen years. We're
going to get a full recap of all the cool
things that went on at the Healthy Place. Also some
great stuff for you today as well. Always a good
day to get on into the Healthy Place, whether it's
the Fitchburg location. Given Tim that high five again Wednesdays
to that's today, he's out there west side of Madison
sun prayer and real quick Tim before we talk about

(04:16):
what a great week it's been with the Healthy Place
marking fifteen years. I had a chance. I think I
brought this up on the show. If not, I'm bringing
it up now. I had a chance. I stop in
from time to time to hang out, say hello. And
a couple of weeks ago I had a chance to
stop in and say hello, and you and I got
a chance to do a little bit of talking. And
one of the cool things that I really love to
see is when we get into it, when we get
into the store, and for folks that haven't experienced this yet,

(04:39):
the real community of folks is when you come into
the Healthy Place, you really are embraced. And there were
a lot of folks that I saw coming in. They
knew their wellness consultant on a first name basis. You
knew the folks as they were coming in, really helped
guiding them. It's a very personal environment as well, and
that doesn't come easy. That is really done through passion

(05:00):
and really hard work and knowledge and being willing to say, hey,
I am opening myself up to you. Just comment and
come on into the doors.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Thank you so much, man.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I mean, John Maxwell is like one of my favorite
leadership gurus. You know, he's written all these books and
three sixty degree leaders sort of impacted my life because
I'm like, oh, you can lead up, you can lead across,
you can lead down. You know, you can lead anywhere
and everywhere you go, you know, family, work, life, and
so he would talk about how in general in your leadership,

(05:28):
whatever you're doing, whether you're at home with the kids
or whether you're running a business or working with the community,
is that you need to ask questions first, you know,
lead with the questions, touch the heart before you ask
for the hand, you know, souls before sales, so to speak. Like,
how do we orient our company and our wellness consultant
framework in a way that the community can come in

(05:49):
there's no commission. We don't do commission where there's not
a distraction in dollars because this stuff is all expensive.
So for the consultants, we don't want to distract them
with dollars or commission. And so then you know, you
want to create a safe place for people to come
in and ask questions. They don't have to buy anything.
They can gain intel, gain education for the health challenges

(06:10):
that they deal with, for their loved ones that deal
with issues like there's a lot of people stuck, a
lot of people not feeling well, a lot of people suffering,
and so creating a framework where folks can come in
to one of our three stores, you know, some prairie
west side of Madison, Fitchburg here and they can be
honest about some health concerns they have. And we don't

(06:32):
pretend to be doctors or pharmacists. You know, we have
some of the best in the world here that we
lean on in Madison. And you know what we know
is supplements and forms of ingredients that absorb good better best.
And then we know what natural alternatives are working for
our community. And we keep getting better at that. We
every other Tuesday, So yesterday was another Wellness Consultant Strategy

(06:53):
meeting on how we can better educate the community and
how we can bring them.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
So thank you. You know, we've worked really really really
really really.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Hard on the environment that the community walks into. I mean,
we're a supplement store, so people have a couple in mind.
You know, they think a GENC, they think of vitamin shop,
and that's pretty much their landscape. You know, maybe one
of the others. But we're different in that. The whole
goal is to ask questions. The whole goal is to
make a recommendation that will work, even to our return policy,

(07:22):
where folks can bring stuff back that doesn't work, because
just like in the whether you're talking about pharmaceutical drugs
or natural alternatives, everyone's so different. So you can make
a recommendation based off what's working for others, and it's
true that it might not work. So even to our
return policy, we want folks to be able to bring
stuff back and get a credit towards another idea that's working.

(07:43):
So that way you can try, as the community can
try everything that we have and then bring it back
and then try another thing and see if it works
better keep that one. I mean, you know, my point
is that if it doesn't work, you bring it back,
so then as you go through life, you know, Sean,
you just think about life like you have an earache,
and then you know, here later you have this like

(08:05):
gut thing and we kind of just sort of maybe
tell our significant other or friend or you know, or
deal with it.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
You don't tell anyone.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
And so what we want to be at the Healthy
Place is like a place you can whether it's sending
an email, submitting a ticket online, calling one of the
stores you know, or coming in physically, which is our favorite,
either one of those four you know, interact with the
Healthy Place to gain intel. Right, you don't. You're not
obligated to buy anything. And the business model has worked
great for me because the more you give, the more

(08:34):
you receive. It just works out that if we add
a ton of value. So how I want the community
to work with us is is use the service like
and be free with it. Don't feel obligated to buy anything.
Learn every time you have a condition that kind of
bugs you or a loved one, find out what natural
alternative can help with that. And a lot of times
it's very inexpensive and very quick in helping. And the

(08:55):
lights go on they're like, my goodness, I could have
done this two years ago and I could have been
off this ibuprofen or whatever. And that happens dozens of
times per day.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
It's pretty amazing hearing stories as well. And I know
we've had folks call in with one week they'll call
in with a question or a concern, and a couple
of weeks later they'll call in with a result and
talking about their experience and their journey. And it's a
great day to start that conversation. Get on into the
healthy place, whether it's West Side of Madison, Fitchburger Sun
Prairie location. Don't forget it's Wednesdays. That man, it's a Wednesday,
and that means Tim O'Brien he is at the Fitchburg

(09:28):
location from ten until five. Great day to get that
high five, start that journey, start that conversation again. West
Side of Madison, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie Online, finds your Healthy
Place dot com. Let's find your Healthy Place dot com.
I mentioned also folks that have called in asked the question,
started that journey, started that conversation, then called back with
their amazing results. The great opportunity for you to start
that journey. If you got a question, get you on

(09:49):
the air six eight three two one thirteen ten. That's
six soh eight three two one thirteen ten. Tim and
everyone at the Healthy Place have been celebrating with the
community for the past past week, of course, marking fifteen
years serving Dane County, serving Madison and southern Wisconsin at
the Healthy Place. We'll talk a little bit about what
a great week it's ben and also for those of
you that you know it's summertime, I can speak to

(10:09):
this as well. Sometimes you head out of town, got
some stuff going on, there's still great opportunities at the
Healthy Place. We'll talk with Tim looking forward and some
of the cool stuff on the horizon with the Healthy Place.
But we'll also review this past week and take your calls.
So much stuff in store for you next as ask
the experts with the Healthy Place, and Tim O'Brien continues
right here on thirteen ten double UIBI eight forty five

(10:31):
thirteen ten WIBA and ask the experts with the Healthy Place.
Hanging out with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online
find your Healthy Place dot com. That's all one word,
finds your Healthy Place dot com, Facebook, and social media.
You can find them there. Of course, if you're on
Instagram for example at find your Underscore Healthy Place. You
got a great YouTube channel as well. It's always a

(10:51):
great day to get on into the Healthy Place today,
especially great if you're in the Fitchburg area stop buy.
I know Tim would love to see you. Give him
a high five again. Tim and Wellens Consultants all stand
by at all the locations, specifically Tim the one here
in Fitchburg and speak of getting into the stores. What
a week it has been. Oh my goodness, Tim, are
you I mean, I mean, let's be honest.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
I know you love it.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yes, yeah you First, let's talk. Let's talk about this
celebration that's been going on at the Healthy Place.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
It's been so cool, you know.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Of course it's started months ago for us, and we
try to make a splash. Every June twenty six is
our official anniversary, and then Becky andize wedding anniversary is
the twentieth of each June. So it's kind of fun
because we celebrated sixteen years of marriage and then fifteen
years for the business and are all this is turning fourteen,

(11:43):
so it's like, wow, we thinking all together there, but
we're surviving and what a fun week. Our team I'm
so proud of our team from front to back. There's
so much that goes into it, so many details and
so many variables, and you know how it is with
any celebration or thing you throw, there's new is that
pop in last second and you got to pivot. And

(12:03):
I'm so proud of our team's commitment to making this
a great fifteen year because it's for our community and
it's also celebrating like each other because we've worked so
hard as a team to build what we have built,
you know, over one hundred thousand unique customers served and
climbing and plans to you know, work in opening this

(12:24):
foundational care clinic that we're looking at later this year
into early next year, like asking questions and what's the
next fifteen years look like. So that's just been really
fun to interact with and my customers and community, Like
I can speak for our whole team like thank you
so much, Like thank you for coming in, thank you
for the support, thank you for the smiles, thank you

(12:46):
for the business. When there's so many places you can
get your supplements, and one thing we do work hard
to do is add so much value. That is it
is a win win and I'm so thankful for all
the affirmation you gave this last week just speaking to
our community, like thank you for the affirmation of like, hey,

(13:07):
we're doing a good job, we are adding value to
the community.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
We have made a difference in your life. And Sean,
it's like my one of.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
My favorite parts of Wednesdays is folks tend to share
their testimony with the Healthy Place, Like the thank yous
that come in to me are so consistent every Wednesday.
I can count on like five to ten of these
stories where we helped somebody with dramatic health challenges and

(13:34):
they were sort of out of hope and in a
corner and someone at the Healthy Place made a recommendation
that brought light into their world and changed their life.
And that's sort of like the goal of the Healthy
Place is to be a resource, you know, whether it's
a small change or a huge change, like I just
shared that were making a difference.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
So last week was very fun. You know. We had giveaways.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
We had coupon books which we bring out one per
year and they're packed with like very good things like
free items. I mean, come on, just like free a
free bar, or like a seventy percent off a beauty
item or like forty percent off one of your favorite products.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Like there's just good stuff in there.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
So we don't have this week, we're gonna run out
and I don't know which day, but come in uh
still for your coupon book as soon as you can
grab one of those, because we only do one per
year and it's good for a full year. We had
five Golden Ticket winners, so each one of those is
like inside these coupon books, there's like golden tickets.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
So it was so fun on social if you got
to see.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Some of that, like these winners two hundred and fifty
dollars gift card that they get with the golden and
then we did an e Byke giveaway like super fun.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I didn't get to ride it, so I was bummed
about that.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
But and then twelve hundred dollars worth a gift card
giveaways just in the healthy place, a gift cards, just
sharing the love, and I could not be more grateful
to the team and the community. So it was such
a splash, And I'm very proud of fifteen years and
even more excited about the next fifteen years because you
want to take what you've learned right I mean in parenting, right.

(15:00):
I know you just did a did some touch ill
time with your kiddo, and.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
It's like, you know, you want to be strategic.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
You want to be successful, and you want to be
you want to look at what your time is going
to and your energy and you want to increase the
ROI on that, like whether it's in a personal relationship
or business or like wherever you are in life. You
want to take what you've learned and then double down.
And so that's what we're doing. We all have like
the Eyes of the Tiger. We got the song playing
and everything.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
It is such an awesome and we talked to you
and Tim. I know. One of the things that anyone
that's had a chance to meet with you and get
to know you is you're always working. You're always going,
and people say, well, how does he keep that up?
You genuinely love what you do, and I think that
it inspires you and carries through. The Other thing is
you're not one to rest. You and Becky are not saying,

(15:47):
you know what, We've got this this fantastic business. We've
got this great place for folks to come. We've got
this great team around us, We've got this great. Everything
is going great. You guys, don't just sit there and say,
all right, everything, everything is just going to run itself.
So set it, forget it, let's walk away. I know
that there's we've hinted at some things, and I know
that there's new developments coming every single day with the

(16:10):
Healthy Place. It's important for folks to you mention the
social media and seeing some of the winners with the
golden tickets and things.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
It's impowerful on Instagram yea book, Yeah, yep, yep, thank you.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Because big announcements, big announcements and cool things always more
cool things going on at the Healthy Place. Make sure
you're following them, whether it's Facebook, Instagram, YouTube channel, all
that great stuff, because there is some very very fantastic
stuff going on real quick too, tim as we get
into the summer months, and as somebody who was I
think I did like sixteen thousand steps each day, which

(16:41):
is like five six miles of walking. Yeah, out of music, parts,
hydration and keeping and like some fairly like basic things
that our body needs to keep going during these months.
Like a little bit of prevention can go a long way,
and I think a lot of folks are avoiding things
like you know some of these over the counter pain

(17:04):
relievers and other things. There are things folks can be
doing to really prepare for those type of endembers.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Aren't there.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Well three things I'll give you a tip, and then
the previous statement I want to comment on too because
it's even bigger. So going back to the first thing
you said about plugging in like following us right, It's like,
what I'm trying to do is help plug people in
like you meant you kind of throw things out there,
like Tim Loves's job, and it's like that's like one

(17:30):
of my jobs is to work with my team to
help their jobs become better. You know, that's like one
of my And so whenever I'm talking to anyone, I'm like,
let's let's get you in your like top quadrant zone,
like the things you love to do and and you know,
so it's all connected, like your health, your your energy,
your passion for life, like these challenges that come up,

(17:50):
So interact with the healthy place because it's one thing
that might help you in one percent towards your goal
of like becoming the CEO of your own health, or
taking joy in your work or like lively like really
truly liking life, liking people, loving life, loving people. I mean,
these are all things that like, and when you give,
you receive, right, it's just this, And if you don't

(18:12):
have your health, it's kind of hard to do anything.
So to your next point, like some little things you
can do. These are just free things. You know, drink water,
Like it is so hard to stay consistent with the
water consumption, but figure it out, like you have to,
like if you're not hydrated, like your whole body. I mean,
imagine if you weren't watering a plant the right way, Like,
you know what happens. And our bodies are amazing, so
they sort of carry on with twenty five percent of

(18:33):
the water that they need, but like what would happen
if you had one hundred percent? Like, just get the
cup by you and make it your job to drink water,
you know, and then get sleep for goodness sake. You
know why why we sleep? There's a great book why
we sleep? And you know, you double your cancer risk.
I was gonna say overnight by not hitting at least
six hours of sleepy. So I'm speaking out a passion

(18:55):
because I haven't been well hydrated in this last fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
And I have not valued sleep the way I need
to value sleep.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
You know, I have baby's business, whatever the excuse is,
but it needs to be a priority. Like you will
die sooner if you're not going to in your quality
of life and you're not gonna like beat it, you know,
that's what I thought. I was like, I can beat it,
you know, as I have this natural so okay. And
then the third thing you can do is change the
sequence you eat your food. Oh, Like the Cornell study

(19:22):
twenty fifteen super clearly substantiated this idea that eating your
vegetables first creates a mesh on the bottom of your stomach,
and then you eat the proteins and the fats and
that's slower to digest, right, and then all the starches
and sugars on top, which would include fruit. It doesn't
rot like the includes fruit high sugar. You don't want

(19:42):
to be spiking your glucose all day every day and
increasing your average glucose level. Like again, hit me personally,
I'm forty. I got my test back. I'm like averaging
one all three. I'm I don't even eat that much sugar.
But the way I eat the sequence in that I
that I have eaten has messed with my average, which
opens the floodgates of inflammation, which is the root of

(20:03):
every degenerative disease.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Is that something? Is that something to Tim and I
we talk obviously inflammation and and you know the importance
of of of fighting back and pervent. You mentioned too
about about you know, simple things that folks can do
about about sequence of consumption and what you're eating and
and how you're eating it, that type of stuff as
we as we talk each week. I think sometimes people

(20:27):
think that that uh, you know, it's it's everything in
life is there's a cost to it. The reality is
some of these things that you that learn is just
it's just sharing that information of saying, you know, what
you mentioned, drinking more water not going to cost anything,
learning how to learning how to eat, you know, in
the proper order not gonna you see pretty significant and

(20:47):
substantial returns by these lifestyle modifications.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
You really do.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
And it's like this, I like to think of it
as like fanning a flame. Like we all have this
flame and it's some that's it's almost out or it's
even smoking.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
You know, got a.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Relight, but you know, you take a lighter by a
candle that was just blown out and it'll light back up,
So don't give up, is the point. And then there's
folks that have this roaring bonfire of like people I
look up to, these these health enthusiasts that are incredibly
disciplined in every area of their life, you know, And
that's but you can fan the flame no matter what,
and you can help somebody and encourage somebody and take

(21:22):
them where they're at and ask questions and touch their
heart before you ask for their hand, and you can
be a resource. And like if we can do this
in the healthy place, you know, for people, then it's
like we want to fan the flame so then they
can fan the flames of the people around them.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
It's like the butterfly effect.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Like we're like three or four people away from knowing
everybody in the earth or something, and we all know
a thousand people that they know a thousand people, so
two away from a billion or whatever. It is, like
we can make an impact, you know, you can make
an impact, and we get rooted in these sort of
and we need people around us that are gonna pull
us out of those those holes that we just get

(22:00):
stuck into. So if that's you this morning, like whether
it's sleep, water, food, relationships, like the quality of how
are you ham? I mean, there's all these spectrums of life.
I'm just in the supplement one. But what I'm really
passionate about is your life at large and how we
can help fan the flame to help you reach your
healthy place. That's why we named it the Healthy Place,

(22:22):
is to help people find their healthy place because it's
different for everybody, and we don't want to pretend like
we know. So the point is, like pick up your
sword today, like take an action, whether it's small and
trying to cover water or stopping in the store calling
like use us as a resource, look at other resources
like life is a gift, health is a gift.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
They're both worth fighting for it.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Today's day to start that, and it's a great day
to do that as we think about this week and
of course Independence Day coming up here on Friday. Great
day to be independent and start doing the right thing
for yourself, for your body, for your future, for your family,
think about your health. What a great day to get
on into the healthy Place. Whether you stop by the
West Side sun Praierurg location, they'd love to see you.
Don't forget today as a Wednesday. That means Tim speaking.

(23:03):
Loving to see you. Tim would love to see us
stop at all the time. Fischburg Fitchburg location today, get
