question right now at six oh eight three two one
thirteen ten. That's six soh eight three two one thirteen ten.
(02:27):
Another way to reach Tim is via email Tim at
find your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim Tim at
find your Healthy Place.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
And Becky and I did create a new social media channel,
mister Sean. So this is sort of you know, we
haven't really dug into it yet, but you know, we
have the Healthy Place and then we have these different
brands Lively, Vitamin co and Wild THEORYCBD, and then we
have some new exciting things coming down the line. We
announced it Monday, the Healthy Place Clinic. So we are
(02:56):
going to have a clinic, Lord Willing by the end
of the year. Super excited to talk about that in
the future. So anyway, we have these like different businesses,
and we have like our heart, which mine is sort
of passionate about life and how life is a gift
and beck Becky's always been passionate about like how health,
health is a gift. And so those two married together
are sort of where we came up with this social media.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Channel for Fantastic Holistic is the name of it.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
So if you go to Fantastic Holistic, you will find
us there, and you should follow us there. You know,
we want to be an encouragement from each of our side.
You know, I like the joke that Becky is, you know,
our home doctor here. I mean, her education is thorough
and constantly studying it. She just is about completing her
first little book. I'm so proud of her.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Wow, and I go in a little book.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
I mean, it's sort of a very cool We're going
to get to share that later this year. And from
my side of things, you know, I just know the
world of supplements. You know, I barely graduated out of
high school.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
So I'm not a doctor. I'm not a pharmacist. I
happen to have grown up in the world of supplements.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
My mom managed a supplement store six seven years old.
Now I just turned forty, so that's a thirty plus
years just growing up in the supplement industry. You start
to learn, you know, what brands are good, better, best,
what forms of ingredients are more absorbent if you have
a deficiency or a specific issue. So that is my
knowledge and I'll be sharing from that. So anyway, yeah,
(04:15):
lots of cool things in general. And my reminder to
you if you're listening, is to take action. I think
for me the hardest thing sometimes is just taking action
on something. And there's so much you know that sort
of holds you down in life and holds you back
and stresses you out and pulls your focus as like
a distraction away from the most important things in life,
(04:36):
which you know a lot of times is it is
your family, or it is your health, or it is
your dreams that you sort of get pulled into stress
this or that, and taking on a regular basis just
taking a step back and saying, like where am I
like where do I want to be? And what's like
a small step I can take to like move in
that direction. And obviously life and health are two big
(04:59):
ones I like to remind people of.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
And something you're very passionate and everyone at the Healthy
Place is very passionate about as well.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
If you got a question. Love Davie joined us this morning.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
You get on the Eric Tim O'Brien from the Healthy
Place help of number six O eight three two one
thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
Head on over to Verona and Randy joins us. Randy,
welcome to the program. You're on the Eric Tim O'Brien
from the Healthy Place.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Good morning, Tim. I'm glad you guys are up and around.
You sound real great.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Oh, Randy, I recognize your voice. Man, how are you?
Speaker 4 (05:28):
I'm doing great? Hate Tim, I'm a big proponent of
Omega three supplements. In the standard American diet. We get
too many Omega six, so I'm a big proponent of
Omega three supplements. How do you pick the correct supplement?
You know, the best ones, the ones that are not rancid,
(05:49):
you know the ones that oxidize over time. How do
you figure that out? Tim? And how do you decide
which ones to have in your store?
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (05:58):
I mean, what a what a great question. And thank
you Randy for your support for many years. I appreciate
that omegas are a top studied nutrient on the planet
number two, only two vitamin D studies. So the body
of science around what you're saying, Randy is absolutely been
(06:19):
substantiated by tens of thousands literally clinical trials. So every
cell in your body is surrounded by essential fatty acids.
So taking omega threes from fish is my favorite, will
nourish and strengthen every system in the body. So DHA,
you know, is kind of primarily known for brain health,
(06:41):
and EPA is primarily known for heart health, but both
are good for many systems. Every cell and that which
is widely distributed, widely sold is often rancid or sourced
from farmed fish, higher mercury concerns. FDA doesn't regulate the industry,
so you can have higher levels of concerns when it
(07:03):
comes to you know, we want to work with brands
that sort of have gone that extra mile of third
party testing or NSF certified or GMP certified.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
And there's nuances to every supplement.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
So fish oil, how I choose a you know, I
want it to be naturally sourced, sustainably, naturally sourced. I
don't like this farmfish idea. So like Alaskan or north
of Norway, Nordic Region. Nordic Naturals happens to be one
of my favorite brands. Or A New Life does a
good job though too. Terry Naturally has a different approach
(07:38):
to the omega conversation, which is kind of interesting. Their
claim would be that it's better than fish oil. It's
a whole food phospholipid sourced from salmon heads, which is
the most nutritionally dense part of the salmon, which is yummy.
But the idea there is it's bioidentical. It just means
it's like similar to your body consuming six on flay
(08:00):
of salmon.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
It's in that whole food form, so passing the blood
brain barrier very freely. That's the first one I took
that I really felt like a brain difference, which is
kind of interesting.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
So I love vect Omega by Terry Naturally is the
name of that product, A vecto omega by Terry Naturally.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
It's a whole food omega three.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
And then Nordic Natural's ultimate omega is in its natural
triglyceride form source from North and Norway, Nordic region and
quite clean, third party tested. I foss I f OS
is a specific certification for fish because of the mercury
and kind of contaminants and concerns.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
So those are my top two very favorite fish oils. Randy.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Thank you, Randy, great question, great call, and a lot
of great information. And what tim something you said there,
and I know I've I've caught it you saying it
before as well, and I think it's important to highlight
you had mentioned. You know, when you took your supplement,
you felt it, and that is a big thing is
if you're taking supplements, you should you should feel results.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
It's not feel it, and it's usually the form that
prevents people from feeling things. So when you take a
KSM form of ashwaganda, which is an herb that's good
for lowering stress, it's it's night and day different than
taking a standardize, regular fingerprinted, powdered whole plant as ganda.
(09:19):
It's just like very different. So thanks for pointing that out.
It's like the form of the nutrient is the most
common for sort of preventing people from feeling benefits in
the natural supplement industry. And then the other thing that's
that's just almost always a part of the problem is
the potency, is the strength, is the amount of milligrams.
People will take, say kirk Cuman and they'll take, you know,
(09:42):
a Walgreens one. Don't mean to pick on Walgreens. Uh,
take a sort of a mass market kirk Cuman. And
then they'll be like, you know, it didn't really help
my pain. It didn't really help my arthritis, it didn't
really help my fibermalgia or my my neck pain.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
And it's like, Okay, what kind did you take? Okay,
that's that's.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
Problem number one. And then how much did you take
of that? Okay, that's problem number two. So by this
form of kirk Human BCM ninety five and take seven
hundred and fifty milligrams a day and then see what
you feel. And that's where we get these testimonies like, hey,
my pain has been lessened, I feel better.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Thank you. That's nice.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
It's pretty amazing.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
As we as we talk with Tim O'Brien and we
mentioned last week, and it definitely bears repeating. If you
haven't been over to find your Healthy place dot com website,
when you do, head on over there, next scroll down
read some of the reviews, and that's I know all
the products also have individual reviews, but like an overall
review that folks have taken the time out of their
day to talk about their experience at the Healthy Place.
(10:34):
It's really really reassuring to see that again. Just head
on over to find your healthy place dot com. Let's
find your healthy place dot com com. Great day to
get on in. Whether it's Westside location, Sun Prairie or Fitchburg.
Of course wellness consultants standing by and speaking of the
Fitchburg location, it is a Wednesday, Tim O'Brien.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Will be there it, Yes, get on out, do the
high five. Ten it till five Today'd love to give
you that high five. Love to see you again.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Have questions, you know, like I want to lower the sean.
You know, when you have a health condition, it's like, okay, whatever,
I'm fine.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
I can do it, you know. Or you have your
over the counter drugs. You just I'm fine.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
I'm too busy to go, you know. So Fitchburg store,
just make it easy, pop on in. Okay, you kind
of know me from the radio, so that makes it
a little easier.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Ask your darn questions. Just ask the question. Get it
in your back pocket.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
You don't get to buy anything, but don't just keep
suffering for the rest of your life or taking you know,
things that aren't good for your liver or kidney, like,
is there a natural alternative that works?
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Like check it out start that journey.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Today is the day to get on in or head
on over to the website find your Healthy Place dot com.
Of course, the best thing is to get on in.
Whether it's west side, Sun Prairie or Fitchburg location. We're
going to get you our conversation with Tim O'Brien from
the Healthy Place. We're gonna do that next and take
your call as ask the experts with Tim O'Brien and
the Healthy Place continues right here on thirteen ten wibi
eight fifty thirteen ten doubuib a and ask the experts
(11:52):
with Tim O'Brien and the Healthy Place online find your
Healthy Place dot com. That's fine, Your Healthy Place dot com.
Find on Facebook and social media including Instagram, Fantastic Holistic
as well. You can find them and follow them on
those social media platforms. Great day to get on in,
whether it's the west side, Fitchburg or Sun Prairie location,
(12:13):
the Healthy Place. Don't forget on Wednesdays. Today is a Wednesday.
Tim O'Brien is at the Fitchburg location from ten until five.
He'd love to see you out there. And again, there's
wellness consultants available to you at all three locations. So
if you're on the West Side or Sun Prairie, yeah
you may not get to see Tim, but you'll definitely
get to hang out with a great, great person and Tim.
One of the things too, speaking of the great people
at the Healthy Place, I'd mentioned, you're in your natural environment.
(12:35):
You love working with people, you love talking with people,
you love connecting with people, and that runs throughout the
entire Healthy Place. Is everybody there really really has a
great enthusiasm for helping people live healthy lifestyles.
Speaker 5 (12:50):
Yeah, it's sort of It's been really an interesting thing
because I sort of naturally like people, so I just
enjoy that. And everyone in the world isn't necessarily like that,
So you can you can hire someone that is not
a great fit for the Healthy Place because the Healthy
Place way is sort of like this, touch their heart
before you ask for their hand, like ask a bunch
of questions like souls before sales. You know, how can
(13:13):
we guide this person? You know, we don't have a
commission structure, so it doesn't like fit this like certain
persona of a salesperson that you know, So we needed
to sort of strategize around that, and like, are we
hiring for knowledge, are we hiring for people skills? Are
we hiring for integrity? Are we hiring for sort of passion?
Speaker 4 (13:32):
You know?
Speaker 5 (13:32):
And those are the four buckets I think that are
important for a wellness consultant position. So we had to
prioritize integrity and passion over knowledge, per se and people skills.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Because you can kind of sometimes teach people skills, not always.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
And then then you can certainly teach the education side,
which we have a pretty robust training program about three months.
It takes a wellness consultant to get through it quizz tests,
they have to move through nine different modules vendor trains, manager,
role playing as a customer, etc. And so we had
to prioritize that integrity and passion side, because integrity is vital.
(14:09):
If you don't have trust, you don't really have anything.
And then passion, like you got to care enough to
be like when you're passionate about something, you talk about
it differently. So you have to have a passion around life,
around health, around helping people. We're something related to that
in order to work at the healthy place. And we've
had some situations where we've had to ask some folks
(14:30):
to leave, and you know that's never easy and fun,
but it protects our model what we're doing in the city.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
And you know, we're just getting warmed up.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
We're fifteen years in and I'm thrilled with the results
that we've had in this community. And we keep getting
better because our wellness consultant team we meet every two
weeks on what's working in the community, what's not working,
what conditions are challenging, how can we better work with
the medical side and be a better partner in Dane County,
(14:56):
and how can we add more value to our community.
I mean, we're getting better every year, really enjoyable, and
we're going to continue to do that. So we want
to invite people in general into it. It's like it's
like one resource, right, We're not the only one. There's
a number of very good resources in Dane County. And
like my larger voice is saying, like, like get some resources,
(15:16):
Like get some people on your team that can guide you.
And you have chronic headaches when you have a health
like everyone has health problems. Like if not now later,
Like get somebody on your team that can guide you
in the supplement space.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
If it's not the healthy place, that's fine.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
Get somebody though that can be on your team in
supplement space because it's a part of the puzzle, just
like having a good MD, having a good a pharmacist,
having a good maybe chiropractor, having a good acupuncturist. Right,
Like you need somebody on your team nutritionists, like you
need a team around you because you don't always have
the time to study each one of these areas. So
(15:48):
in general, we want to be that resource to the community.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
First. It's like it's like free resource to the community.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
And I kind of want to highlight that because it's
been intentional of what we've attempted to create. So whether
you call in the store, ask questions with submit a
ticket on our website, come into our store, like my
team's time is yours, and we know supplements, we know
forms of ingredients, and we know what's been working for
(16:15):
our community. So that's the three things we have. We
don't pretend to be doctor's pharmacists. That's the resource. Like
take my team's time, like use it for your benefit.
And what I've seen over the years is the finances
takes care of themselves. But don't feel obligated to spend
money research, Like, just ask the question from one of
our wellness consults for you or a loved one, what
has been working in this area, Take that recommendation, put
(16:37):
in your back pocket, check out the price.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
And that's kind of what I'm inviting people into.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
And you mentioned too that relationship and one of the
things people that I talk to outside of the program,
but also anybody that's been listening to the show knows
we get people calling in all the time and they
talk about their wellness consultant, who they've worked with, and
how much that relationship that really does that true connection
that develops, and you talk about really forming that relationship,
(17:03):
start that conversation.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Have that trusted person in here.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
I have somebody on your team, right And it's just
like you said, you know, I get feedback all the
time on my wellness consultants, you know, Jordan Ali Penzi,
Brandon Ryan, you know, I just it's just a rary
regular multiple times a week, somebody will reach out through
some platform saying like they've really helped me in my
journey and here's how, here's why because people are kind
of like after a year, for example of sort of
(17:27):
you know, maybe maybe you've popped into our store three
four times for a specific health challenge, and the wellness
consultant you've worked with, which you can work with all
of them, right, and you do over time, but people
also build relationship with the same so then they'll say, like,
Ryan's helped me like solve my headache problem.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
It's really neat.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
I've had it since I was seven, you know, and
I just get these testimonies all the time. And that's
kind of what I want to hopefully inspire somebody with today,
because it's like it's about taking action. It's about taking
a step back and seeing like where am I? Where
do I want to go?
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Health wise? Where do I want to go? Life wise?
Speaker 5 (18:01):
And not letting all the excuses and reasons why you
can't go there get in your way, but prayerfully advancing
because life is short and how life is a gift.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Health is a gift, and they need to be fought for.
Speaker 5 (18:13):
It's not something that just falls into place, Like it's
like actively pursuing these things, and we want to like
sort of add value to you and help you do that.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
It's a great day to take action, as you point out, Tim,
and it's a great day to start that journey. Get
on into the Healthy Place. Don't wait any longer if
you haven't been in again, it's really a great journey
to go on. It's not going to cost anything. The
Willness consultants are simply there for your benefit to really
help you find the perfect solution to your problem. Again,
all I got to do is stop on in. Whether
it's West side of Madison location at the Healthy Place,
(18:44):
Sun Prairie or Fitchburg. Of course today it's Wednesday. That
means Tim O'Brien he is hanging out at the Fitchburg
location from ten until five. He is there to help you.
He's there to say hello, he's there to give you
a high five. If you haven't seen him for a while,
great day to get on in. If you've never met
Tim before, it's always he's always a fun guy to
hang out with, have a little conversation with.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
I love you too.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
You know.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
It's funny because because one of the things I get
I get to see is sometimes when I'm in the store,
I'll get to see you interacting with folks, and that
instant connection that you have, and I think it goes
to the you know, the passion for what you do,
and also the fact that you've seen results and you
know what you're talking about works, and I think that's
got to really drive you as well and everyone at the.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
Health I'm want to get you right out of bed
in the morning. Yeah, you know, because you just know
there's all these people suffering and it's sort of fun
to minimize that suffering or increase somebody's quality of life
where you you know, they come in and they thank
you a year later and you're like, Yes, this is
what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Today's the day to take action again.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
West side of Madison, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg location of the
Healthy Place.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Of course, Wealth's consultants.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Also online you can order or to find your Healthy
Place dot com. That's fine, your Healthy Place dot com.
Tim it's always great. Enjoy this beautiful day and we'll
talk soon.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Yes, enjoy the beautiful weather and thanks for the time. Brother.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Vicky McKenna has your chance to win one thousand dollars
next right here, I'm thirteen ten DOUBLEU ivy I
