Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ah me, sure, Sean for you.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
I mean, every week you come with the energy, and
then I'm even if I don't have the energy, I'm like, okay,
timmy step it up, leave a lot.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
We got Sean pretty well.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
And we're in the studio, which has been a couple
of years, and I'm so excited.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Awesome to see you. It's great to have you in studio.
And I told you about why so you've you've got
this high energy intro because when you and I first
how we've been doing the show like ten.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
It feels like ten years. But I don't think it's
ten years.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I will have to look because it's it's been. It's
it's it's been. We've been doing a minute. Yeah, And
I just remember those first couple of shows. I would
come in and I kind of on air have a
natural energy. But I'm like, I've got to I've got
to match Tim. It's sat down and I scripted out
an intro and I'm like, we've got it. We've got
to get Ayea the Tiger, and we've got to really
give it all each week.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Matt, thank you for that, dude.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
As I've journeyed through the last maybe five years, of life.
You know, life hits you between the eyes. I'm in business, uh, family,
five kids, homeschool, right, you know, we're all the social life,
like all the mumbo jumbo that we all deal with
every day, and that's hit me between the eyes shot
of the last five years. So it's interesting because I
get very excited about life and about people living life

(01:15):
like to their full potential and adding value to people
is kind of what John Maxwell early in my life
sort of started this engine for of like adding value
to as many people as you can, and even the
register person at Target, you know, when you're buying your
your what have you. And so then I started doing
that early in life, and it just started increasing energy
because like the more you give, the more you receive.

(01:35):
And so then well what do you do in life?
So I started praying, like, you know, what do I
want to do with my life? You know, I was
like nineteen and and so then then you know, I
met Becky and that was cool because her vision and
my vision and our goal together to build something in
the community was very exciting. So then life hits me
between the eyes over the last five years, and all

(01:56):
of a sudden, I'm like, maybe maybe I need to
remove some explanation points, you know, maybe I need to
to sort of bring down the laser. And that's where
we started getting real serious about impact. You know, our
mission statement is impact empower and educate every customer to learn, grow,
create this lifelong foundation of health and wellness. And when

(02:19):
I say things that hit me in between the eyes,
you know, things like my three year old son developed
are always had an anaphylactic allergy to peanuts and cashews
and pistachios, and I always kind of like heard of
that and sort of felt the weight of it, but
you never really know until you experience something. So like
right now, the doctors say the allergies, say a piece

(02:43):
of glitter that size in peanut, cashew or pistachio. And
now I found out environmental can kill George. So we've
had like these two skit you know, we're near death experiences,
rush into the er ambulance EpiPens and you know that's
like one story, right, and so now we're sort of
it's level six, so it's pretty intense for him, like

(03:04):
different than level one, two, three, four, five, And they
can't do the microdosing, so we're just like trying to
keep Georgia alive.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I mean, it's kind of a big deal.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
And so we found this Food Allergy Institute in California,
ninety five hundred success stories, wow, forty five hundred currently enrolled,
and where the current medical system says, hey, his seriousness
of allergy is too high to do the microdosing approach.
So this Food Allergy Institute and Becky and I are
becoming advocates because of our son. Obviously we'll use will

(03:35):
build a gummy with a protein molecule. I failed chemistry
in school, so I can explain this. But they build
a gummy with a similar protein molecule, so it's a
different food than the peanut, but a similar protein molecule.
So it's like a microdose of a micro dose. And
we have a flight path for the next four years.
So praise God for that. Because ninety five hundred success stories,
forty five hundred currently enrolled. I mean, that's the big

(03:55):
prayer right now. So hey, if you're listening, I'd ask
for your prayer. So my point though, wasn't to go
down this heavy. It's just like life hits you in
between the eyes and so then you got to go, Okay,
what am I gonna do with all this? Am I
going to continue to advance right? Father, husband, business, owner, work,
whatever social right. You can either be torn down by

(04:16):
it and destroyed, or you can can reflect for a moment,
you know, recalibrate and and say let's go. And so
that's that's kind of what my message is now.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
But I'm like.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I am personally going through a lot. So that that
was a lot for you, Sean, bring us back home,
bring us back to the focus here.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Well, what's and and and of course we've George is George.
We've we love George and love to hear more about him,
and of course follow along with the journey. And one
of the things I love talking to you, that's for sure.
And one of the things Tim, I love talking with
you about. We talked about about what you guys do
at the Healthy Place of course, find your healthy place
dot com. Let's find your healthy place dot com. Of course,
great day to get on in westside Fitchburg Sun Prairie

(04:56):
location Today is a Wednesday, which means Tim's gonna be hanging.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Outing for high five, stop by for high until I'm
giving so many high fives days.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
It's super fun.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
For folks that don't know. Tim's hand is actually just
like permanently in the high five position. But it does
show like there is this commitment to fight for health.
There is this commitment universally with what you guys do
at the Healthy Place to really help improve lives and
for people that get a chance to get on in.
And we talked the other week a little bit about

(05:28):
the clinic Foundational Care Clinic that you're bringing into the
to the Healthy Place, and all it all fits in
with this this real high priority of making sure that
we are all living our healthiest lives.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Really, I mean, you nailed it, and it came out
of I guess that's why I brought up George too,
is like it came out of that, like, okay, like
people are dying that we care about, and let's trace
that back fifty years, right, and we're talking to all
these twenty year olds every day, thirty year old's forty, fifty, sixty,
seventy eighty, right, and they're each at a different decade
and each has the ability to massively influence their health

(06:04):
through epigenetics. And that's like a term that people need
to know about. Like this thing I brought up with
the food Allergy Clinic. It proves this idea of epigenetics,
and the epigenetics just means above genetics. So we all
have a genetic profile we're given at birth, and there's
some pros that are great and there's some negatives.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
That are less great.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
And what epigenetics says is you can turn those bad
genes some label them dirty genes on and off.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
You can literally turn them on and off.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
So if you're prone to X y Z, you can
turn that off, and you can turn other genes on.
And these genes sean massively affect everything in your life.
You know, some genes affect personality, like some of your
personality traits why we loves come on like those like

(06:53):
that actually flows from some of your genetic makeup. And
you can turn some of those genes higher on and
some of them lower and you can.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Get real mic grow.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
So when we get into the strategy session where Becky
and I are sitting down with our leadership team where
they're playing to win team or management team, and we're saying,
how can we actually help Dane County move forward? Right,
we own supplement stores, and supplements are incredible. I've always
been pretty enthused with the idea that you can take
a supplement or a nutrient and it can massively affect

(07:22):
your health. And I love that and that's also just
a part of the health journey right. Activity is essential,
diet is essential, Knowing what your genetic profile like data
driven for you. So that's where the clinic came in.
We're like, we literally Becky and I came down to
it where we like, we felt obligated and passionate to
open this clinic January fifth, because people are just needing

(07:44):
more education.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Like I want people to be the CEO of their
own health.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Like when you come into our clinic, it's like patient focused,
when you come into the Healthy Place, it's customer focus.
We ask questions before we give answers. We're not driven
by commission because that's just a distraction. And there's all
these parts of the strategy that's like how can we
advance Dane County. So thanks for pointing out.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Something I say all the time. And I may have
even brought this up with you, but I don't even
know who originally said it, but they said, you can't
manage what you can't measure. And I think about that professionally, personally,
is like, how do you how do you manage your health?
How do you manage your day to day life. Well,
you've got to have some tool to gauge things by.
And as you talk about foundational care and the clinic

(08:26):
and the understanding of that stuff, having knowing biologically what's
going on can help you make those improvements, can't it.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Really? I mean it's all about information and education and
that's what empowers people to be able to be the
CEO of their own health. You know, I heard a
term or a phrase or a quote there it is
that said, hey, you're the best doctor in the room
when it's about your health, and you want to build
a team around you. Right, we have some of the
best medical doctors and nurse practitioners and pharmacists and surgeons

(08:56):
in the world. And I've gotten to see that firsthand
with five babies and multiple er visits and like I know,
over them over at the children hospital, given high fives everywhere,
and it's like, we have the best medical teams in
the world I think in Madison, and that's amazing. And
so then natural alternatives, right, partnering with natural alternatives so
that the community has education. So when you come into

(09:18):
the healthy Place for a B twelve, you'll meet a
wellness consultant. I call my wellness consultant Army because we
talk every day as a team on our hangouts thread
and we talk every two weeks strategy. Okay, where are
we failing? How can we improve and what metrics can
we use? Like you said, if you care about it.

(09:39):
If you care about it, you know, I think of
something like my relationship with my five kids. If I
care about that, I need to invest in each one
of them directly, which is really hard when you have five.
So I went years with like dozens have eyes looking
at me right and all sort of asking for something. Yeah,
And then all of a sudden I talked to this dude, Tony,
and he's like, bro, I got a lot of kids too.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Once a week do a body date with a kid.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
And so then every five weeks you'll have a buddy date,
which were growing up, I had like three buddy dates
and they're like the best memories of my life. I'm like, okay,
so if I can score like four a year, no,
I'd be more than that. Right, whatever the number is,
it's working, And it's like these mini hacks. So you
come into the store. You ask for a B twelve
because you're low on energy and maybe I'm deficient in
B twelve, you might say. So, then we say, okay,

(10:24):
well here's a higher absorbing B twelve methicabalomin form versus
sign kabaloman synthetic. Your liverist to convert it, you lose
a lot of that methic ebalmen form you absorb because
it's the natural form. So okay, So now at B twelve,
just on that level, we've quadripled your results from that
B twelve supplement. But then we ask a question like, well,

(10:44):
most fatigue is related to the adrenals. Have you ever
thought about that? And then we educate, give them an
education sheet. They learn about adaptagens. Adaptagenic herbs help your
body adapt to stress, lowering stress increasing, strengthening the adrenal glends,
increase energy. So now they take an adapt with the
better quality B twelve and their energy is profoundly different

(11:04):
now with the clinic opening. So that's the healthy place
our supplement stores.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
I love them.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
That's the service we provide. Now with the clinic, it'd
be like, well, maybe check out the clinic because if
you've been suffering in these three or four areas, it
might make sense to do an intake with one of
our natural doctors for two hundred bucks and then get
a battle plan based on your health, your history, your data.
So it might turn into a lab, you know, one

(11:29):
hundred and fifty dollars lab for full women's panel for example,
to discern what is deficient. If you're deficient in something
that can drive so many of your problems, we got
to identify that. What if you have something else going on,
we got to identify that too. Nineteen percent of people
are walking around with a terminal illness that they don't
even know. So there's these truths we have to get out.
You know, you heard me going off about glucose, Like

(11:51):
glucose is the primary creator of inflammation, which leads to
the four horsemen, which is what the people we care
about are suffering. Cardiovascar disease, cancer, diabetes, dementia.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
So we have to it.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
If you don't educate on what's creating those four horsemen,
which is inflammation that's produced by glucose and balances, then
people don't know it and they just keep walking around
doing the same thing until their doctor says you have cancer.
So foundational care means we're looking at longevity. We're like,
not primary care, not acute care, which is like emergency room,

(12:22):
foundational care, longevity, et cetera.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Getting to the root of problems.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
And that's for folks that don't know. That's been a
mission of yours for a long time. And as you
get more tools and more, as we learn more and
discover more, I know that one of the great things
I think that for anyone that's had an experience that
healthy Plays knows that is you guys are always working
for the for the latest, greatest, best information, cutting.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Edge it We're starting education Fridays, so two hours every
Friday where our team, we're starting with the management team
and going to see that how that goes for the
next three months and so two hours every week.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
It's literally like, how can we stay on the cutting
edge of health, Like whether it's supplements, whether it's foundational
care clinic, whether it's labs or nutritive ivs, Like, how
can we stay on the cutting edge And what does
Dane County currently have a bottleneck in.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
That we can really service.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
So we're going to be a lime literate clinic for example,
because well, one my daughter is chronic lime, my mother
in law's chronic lime, and my sister in law, so
those are it's a personal drive. And there's also such
a need for lime literate education in Dan County.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
That is amazing stuff. So we talked to smarring with
Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place, the website find your
Healthy Place dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com.
Great day to get on in. Whether it's Westside Fitchburger's
Sun Prairie locations of the Healthy Place, don't forget. Today

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Great data, dude. Just that again. Tim will be at
the Fitchburg location online too. I've mentioned find your Healthy
Place dot com. You can order online, you can chat online,
you can learn more online. It's even better though, to
get on in. They'd love to see it. Westside Fitchburger
Sun Prairie. We're here. We got conversation with Tim O'Brien
from the Healthy Place. We will do that next as
ask the experts with Tim O'Brien in The Healthy Place
continues here on thirteen ten Double U IBI eight fifty

(14:11):
three thirteen ten Double U I b A and ask
the experts. Hanging out with Tim O'Brien from The Healthy
Place online find your Healthy Place dot com. Let's find
your Healthy Place dot com. Facebook, social media including great
places like YouTube. They've got a great YouTube channel. They've
also got great presence up on Instagram at find your
Underscore Healthy Place Facebook. I mentioned they are at Backslash

(14:31):
Your The Healthy Place THCHP. You can find them there.
You'll see their beautiful logo as well. Talking this morning
with Tim about some of the great stuff going on
today at the Healthy Place and what they're looking towards
in the future. And Tim, one of the things that
always impressed me about The Healthy Place is your mission
specifically for folks here in Dane County and southern Wisconsin.

(14:54):
You really want to see and this is this is
something I absolutely love. You really want to see, and
this a great mission. You want to see impact you
want to see. Going back to that management can't manage
what you can't measure, you want to see data coming
back saying Dane County has improved overall in hell.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Yeah, well that's just that's just kind of it too.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
So fifteen years we just celebrated at the Healthy Place, Like,
I'm so grateful, like the amount of people, the feedback
we received from the community was fantastic, and if I'm
real honest, I'm I'm also frustrated with the reality that
so many people are still suffering, so many people are
still not living quality of life. So many of the
customers I'm talking to, like I might fan the flame

(15:36):
of their health, is kind of how I put it,
because everyone's at a different place. You know.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I have people like.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Way smarter than me and way more health enthusiasts than
I am. You know, Becky might be one of those
examples where I'm like, oh, I'm really not healthy compared
to Becky. You know, it's just all that compared to
who you measure yourself to, which comparison is the thief
of joy. Right, So I'm attempting to take away, like,
stop comparing yourself to whatever or whoever this is you. So,

(16:01):
for example, I'm like a small guy, I'm a short,
smaller guy, and I you know, sure I'd rather be
as buff as Sean prebl you know, but that's just
not the cards I'm dealt right. So then you know,
through my teen years, right, I'm trying to like bulk
up and try to weigh more than eighty pounds freshmen
in high school. Right, Like that was terrible to kind

(16:23):
of deal with. Why because I was constantly comparing myself.
So it you know, I see my kids doing that.
I'm like, it's it's such a plague to compare ourselves.
So stop doing that. You look at what your cards
you've been given, like your genetics, your your body type
or whatever, and you don't don't label yourself anything. Just
become driven to be the best you you can be.

(16:44):
So when people come in, it's like, how can I
how can I always view a customer coming into the
Healthy Place stores and in the future to the clinic
as like there's a tiny or a large fork in
the road for them. Right, the tiny fork in the
road might be I have a B twelve deficiency and
getting them on a getting them on a B twelve

(17:04):
that absorbs and maybe they're just fine, right, and that's fine, son,
Then it's like, how do we fan the flame of
their health?

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Right?

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Because I'm passionate about the connection between health and life,
and life is such a gift and it can be
so bright and you can burn so bright, and you
can be yourself refreshed daily and give out like a
fountain to those around you.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I mean, that's my hope right now.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Beact you were listening, she'd be like, ah, step it up,
buddy around the house, you know, and it's like, well, hey,
I want to hear that.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
And so then you start to receive feedback anyway.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Education we want to be that place for Dane County, Sean.
We want to be an education powerhouse. So take all
the education for free, take all the wellness consultant education
for free. Add it to your back pocket. Right, you
have your an amazing medical doctor, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, surgeons,
right and allergies maybe for us, you know, you have

(18:00):
your your supplement kind of wellness consultants or find another shop.
You know, Holly and Pothecarrey like to talk about Willie
Street Community Pharmacy. Do a great job. Find a spot
for supplements so that you can trust. Don't go mass market.
It's just not worth your money and it's not helping
your body most of the time. Mass Market, you know,
is Target, Walmart, Sam's Closet, So yeah, okay, we'll just

(18:22):
say mass market.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
So yeah, we've talked tiny.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Actions today, like take tiny actions on your health. It
starts to fuel itself.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
And we've talked in the past about absorption and other
issues with some of those mass marketed products out there.
And if you want to listen back, you can always
head on over to WIBA dot com. Also, you can
listen back to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app as well.
And Tim's got a lot of great information up there.
Speaking of seeing Tim, he'd love to see you, love
to get that high five. Get on in today Fitchburg location.
He'll be there from ten until five. He does that

(18:51):
each and every Wednesday. Don't forget wellness consultants. They are
standing by looking forward to meeting you, getting to see you,
vamping in for a while. They'd love to see you again,
whether it's the West side fitchburgers on Prairie location of
the Healthy Place online finds your Healthy Place dot com.
That's find your Healthy Place dot com. Tim, my friend,
it's always great seeing you on person.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
