Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know. Yo, good morning mister Sean Freebot. Thanks for
that very warm welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Oh it's great to be great to talk with you.
It was great to see you too. By the way,
I got a chance. For folks that don't know, of
course we talk about you're at the Fitchburg store on
Wednesdays and I get in from time to time, and
I got a chance last week Wednesday to stop on in.
Great getting caught up, and I gotta say, Tim, the
store looks phenomenal as always, and I want to ask

(00:28):
you a little bit about that in just a moment.
But I do want to also mention to folks if
you want to check for yourself, by the way, don't
take my word for it, get on in. It's a
great day to get into the Healthy Place, whether the
West side of Madison, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie location. Of course,
day is a Wednesday. That means Tim is at the
Fitchburg location from ten am until five pm. I'd love
to see you. I'd love to see you out there again.
Wells Consultants also standing by online find your Healthy Place

(00:50):
dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com, Facebook
and social media as well. You'll find you'll find the
Healthy Place there and phone lines are open as well.
Six so eight three two want thirteen ten. That's six
eight three two one thirteen ten. I get excited about
that also. But I'm always impressed when I when I
come into the store and get a chance to see you,

(01:10):
or when I'm in there meeting with with some of
the other folks at the Healthy Place. I know, I
like to talk about and hear about, you know, other
people's experiences at the Healthy Place, but it's something else
to be said for firsthand experience and getting in the
stores look absolutely fantastic, and I know you put a
lot of work into into kind of how they're laid out,

(01:31):
how they're set up, and they do really look really,
really comfortable and inviting.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I mean, the the interest I mean, I came from
sort of a corporate franchise of you know GNC approach,
where you have a consultant salesperson of sorts and their
goal is to sell and they receive commission and uh

(01:56):
GNC ultimately dictates what categories go out the door because
that's what's incentivized to the salesperson and that's what's sold
to the customer. So I operated inside that framework and
many you know, I came from GNC, so I bring
that up, but you know there's many expressions of that.

(02:17):
So then when we came to the Healthy Place, Becky
and I sat down and started noodling out, you know,
what do we want our framework to be. And I
was very motivated personally by commission as a nineteen year
old working for GNC, and I remember there being times
that I'm embarrassed to admit that I recommended something based

(02:41):
more on the money than on the customer's needs, you know,
and they're literally coming to be trusting me, right. So
I talked about that with Becky, and so we're like
from the beginning, let's not have a commission structure, because
it's not that commission in itself is bad. It's that
it can be abused or it can be a distraction,

(03:01):
especially in the area of health. I mean, if we're
selling tires, that's a I mean, it's still the same
sort of integrity concerns, like is this tire being sold
to me for the money or for the.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Best for my vehicle? But it's not your health.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I mean, people are coming in because they're literally suffering,
like they're literally their quality of life is literally cracked
or minimized. They're they're having a hard time, or they
want to simply thrive in life. They want they are
doing pretty well, but they want to thrive. And supplements
take care of a variety of deficiencies that can allow

(03:38):
people to live a better quality of life. There's herbs
that can strengthen certain systems that change everything, and there
is conditions that people are facing where they're suffering, where
supplements can can can treat and bring pain down and
increase your body's ability to do what it's supposed to do.
It's like healthy fuel. So when we're approaching the framework

(04:00):
of the healthy place, like people come in, it's important
what for them to feel, for them to feel care,
for them to hear questions first like how can I
help you? Or how you're doing? And then when they
ask for something, to ask for us then to ask
another question like oh is that B twelve for low energy?

(04:21):
We're asking questions why because we care? Why because people matter?

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Why because life matters, you know. It's like this sort
of sort of connection.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
So that's important when a customer walks in, and then
it's important for the customers to know that there's not commission,
so there's not a financial sort of control on the
sales team to sell in this certain way. You know.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
It was meeting with the team yesterday.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Every other Tuesday, we have a wellness consultant meeting, and
we started selling methylene blue. And methylene blue is great
for a lot of things, and it's a new nutrient.
And I was reminding the team that just because the
Healthy Place is now selling methylene blue does not mean
you have to promote or get behind like methylene blue.

(05:07):
Like there might be another nutrient that you use for
add you know that you like better, like rodeola, you know,
fish oil. And it's like but it's not even just
what the wellness consultant thinks. It's also the customer because
humans and bodies are so different, so what works for
one person doesn't necessarily work so the Healthy Place, it's
the whole design has been this. The goal at least

(05:29):
has been to create this inviting framework that can lead
the customer through a strategic educational process that hopefully empowers
them to be the CEO of their own health. And
then the wellness consultant at the Healthy Place becomes one

(05:51):
person on their team that has a voice, and then
they look at the other voices in their life that
they trust and make a decision.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Is there the CEO of their own health? And that's
sort of the goal.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
The goal is if I can get a customer to
become more of the CEO of their own health. A
lot of these folks have more of a CEO on
their health than I am. You know, I'm convicted by
a lot of these folks. If I can help people
get to the next level, and if our team can
help people get to the next level through supplements. Man
that it's pretty cool what happens when you give the

(06:22):
body the right nutrients. And we've been getting to see
those testimonies coming in for fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Team twenty six is going to be next week. Yeah,
so go Team, Go Team.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
And I know you've got a lot of big stuff
planned for next week, and of course we'll get into
that as well. And I mentioned too as we talk
with Tim. Great day to get on into the healthy place,
whether it's West Side, Fitchburg or sun Prairie. Meet with
the Wells consultant today being Wednesday, Tim is at the
Fitchburg location. Love to see your smile and face you
can also stop buy five.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, it's my favorite day.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Man come home by the website. Also they've got Wells sell.
But again, it's a great day to meet with Tim. He'd
love to see you. And that was one of the
other things I love seeing is all the folks stopping
in saying hello, and you can do that as well. Again,
just get on in today if you've got a question
for Tim, We've got phone lines open for you. Is
six o eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six
oh eight three two one thirteen ten. Haven't I had
a chance at all? This excitement is as we're thinking

(07:18):
about the fifteen year uh birthday celebration, the anniversary of
the Healthy Place forgot to mention. Speaking of cool gifts
and celebrating folks that call in, Tim, you give a
little thank you for taking the time, don't you.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
We do Yeah, twenty five dollars gift card as a
thank you for calling in with a question. I really
like questions because it often leads to me being able
to help somebody. The other reason I love questions is
it helps demonstrate to others sort of like what we do,
how we do it, our approach and we don't pretend
to be doctors or pharmacists or anything. We just know
supplements and forms, ingredients, sourcing, et cetera. I've been able

(07:52):
to help a lot of people. So now's a good
time to call six.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
O' eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six so
eight three two one thirteen ten. Go to Mike from
Mattison said, Mike, welcome to the program. You're on there
with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Hey Mike, how you doing, Bud? I'm doing it. Just
the question about protein. Do you have anything you can
recommend for high intake of protein? Yeah, certainly.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
We sell a brand in stores called Intech I N
T e K and online though so Intech's are top seller.
We don't sell it online but online. We also have
Solgar Blue Bonnet. All three of those examples, and those
are way protein examples. We have plant based protein examples

(08:36):
as well. Truvanni Organify taste really good spiroutine. But regardless
of which, when you get in the way category like
rbga's free grass fed is really nice, and then you know,
plant based sourcing is obviously important.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Organic, but yes, sir, we have both. That's to come
in tablets form too of just powder. Good question.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah, you can get amino acid capsules. You know that
that create you know, the building blocks of muscles, protein
building blocks, proteins, amino acids. So you can get capsules
of quote unquote protein amino acids, but you'd have to
take you know what is it to get say, thirty
grams of protein, you'd have to take like forty five capsules.
So that's why most people take a scoop of protein

(09:19):
coller throwing in the shaker cup. You're off to the races.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, good question, Great question, Mike, And of course you
get more information just email Tim at find your Healthy
Place dot com. That's Tim ti am at find your
Healthy Place dot Com.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
For you a couple examples, Mike, if you shoot that
Tim at find your Healthy Place dot Com.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
So, yeah, thanks for the good question, and it's.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
It's a great opportunity to be like Mike. If you've
got a question. Is that the old Michael Jordan?

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Commerce you? Like Mike? I was literally going to say that,
but I was like, is this the right time?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Now? I love that I watched that movie too recently,
the Nike One, and Michael Jordan's a sort of inspired Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
That is a great story. Yeah, and of course Mike
gets twenty five dollars gift card for calling and you
two can do that as well. If you've got a
question for Tim from the Healthy Place, love to talk
to you this morning six eight two one thirteen ten.
That's six soh W eight three two one thirteen ten.
We're going to continue our conversation with Tim O'Brien from
the Healthy Place. Love to hear from you as well. Again,
phone lines are open even better if you want to

(10:09):

conversation at find your Healthy Place dot com. That's find
your Healthy Place dot com. We'll continue our conversation with

(10:31):
Tim from the Healthy Place. We will do that next
as Ask the Experts continues right here on thirteen ten.
DOUBLEUIBA eight forty six thirteen ten WIBA and ask the
experts with the Healthy Place. Talking this morning with Tim
O'Brien from the Healthy Place, three locations westside of Madison, Fitchburg,
Sun Prairie. Today is, of course Wednesday, That means Tim
is hanging out at the Fitchburg location from ten until five. However,

(10:55):
you can also find the Healthy Place online that website
finds your Healthy Place dot com. That's find your Healthy
Place dot com. Started this week's talk talking about how
great the stores look and what a great experience you
get to witness. Sometimes it's nice to kind of be
that outsider looking in, is just there to hang out
and see what was going on, and just seeing all

(11:15):
the great folks getting in and working with their wellness
consultants and the great relationships that develop and a very exciting,
exciting time for everybody at the Healthy Place. Tim fifteen
year anniversary is just days away, and let's talk a
little bit about about your journey and the Healthy Place
and where you began and kind of where things are

(11:38):
and maybe a little hint as to what the.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Fu Yeah yeah, man, I mean, it is pretty cool
to see fifteen years later. I mean, Becky and I
were talking the other day a couple of days ago,
you know, fifteen years ago.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
What were we doing?

Speaker 1 (11:50):
And we were running, running, running, trying to cross the
t's and dot the eyes, and you know, we had
the Fitchburg store was our first location, and it we
had so much to do and to bring together, and
we had boxes of products that we hadn't even put
into our point of sale yet and gotten on the shelves,
and I remember it being like a like a literal
race to the finish line because June twenty six, twenty ten,

(12:14):
we had postcards, you know, hitting the mailboxes and it
was our first marketing sort of you know, four thousand dollars,
you know, an unbelievable amount of money to spend on
something like that, and the postcards were going to hit
the mailboxes, so we had to be open and it
was so crazy, and I remember, you know, the family

(12:35):
came together and Becky and I figuring it out and
not getting sleep, you know, And that was a good
preparation for five babies that we had over the next
fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
And now we're done, Seeanne.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
But it has been super rewarding with the kiddos, and
we homeschool them and they worked in our business with us,
and we are are sort of operating as this team
and it's been super awarding. And then twenty fifteen was
when the Sun Prairie store was open, and that was
pretty special because then for the first time I noticed

(13:10):
that I had this team growing. You know, it was
Becky and I in the beginning for years, and then
this team started growing. In twenty fifteen is when it
kind of hit me where now I have this third group.
Because when you first start a business, it's kind of
about your family. You're the only one there, so it's
about your family providing for your family, and then it's
about your customers and that's where it starts. So in

(13:32):
twenty fifteen is where all of a sudden, I had
this aha moment of like, Okay, this is for my family,
this is for my customers, and this is for my team,
because all of a sudden, we have career paths being created,
we have goals, and we have folks with different strengths
that can work in different positions like inventory or operations

(13:54):
or the warehouse or with more customer focusing, and you
get to figure that out with them. So it's this
relationship and there's this fulfillment that comes from that component too,
And so then when we're looking at the situation every day, you.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Know, you look to the future or you bring up
the future.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Lord Willing January, we are opening the Healthy Place Clinic,
which we have started to you know, and we're not
primary care primarily, you know, we don't we're not can
market that way, we don't not set up that way.
We're not urgent care or sort of that acute care.
We are foundational care. So we'll have functional medicine doctors

(14:35):
and natural pathic doctors and wonderful our ends and a
lot of these folks.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
We've already known for years.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
So we've grown this relationship in the community, which is
what kind of excites me is fifteen years I wouldn't
have i wouldn't have thought to myself like, oh, I'm
going to be building relationships for the next fifteen years
and that'll lead into having this amazing team at something
called the Healthy Place Clinic, you know, and like what
that that sort of season did in just trying to

(15:03):
care for people, and it's amazing, And it might be
the encouragement that I'd say to those listening is like
when you sew into something like we've all heard it,
like everything good in life takes like a tremendous amount
of work and a tremendous amount of pain and a
tremendous amount of sacrifice, and what you see on the

(15:24):
other side, you know, it's of course all worth it.
And after having five kids, like the main example I
think of is Becky's face after having a baby, like
those are my five favorite.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Moments in my life.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
And when you do that in different areas of life,
you say, hey, you look at all the pain and
all the time and all the sacrifice, and you say,
like this is this is worth it, you know. And
so that would be my encouragement today in whatever area
or sphere of your life if you're listening, is like
take action, Like your health matters and your life matters,

(15:58):
and they're worth fighting for. And I think that's what
Becky and I have kind of done this last fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
And we've been married sixteen you.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Know, so we got that anniversary coming up on Friday,
married sixteen years. So it's just radical and I'm grateful
and thankful and I looking to the next fifteen years.
I'm sort of you know, like John Maxwell is one
of my favorite authors. And he's like a leadership author
and he's written like forty best selling books or something crazy.

(16:26):
And so he says every time he like receives a
published book, he holds that book like in his office
sort of like a loan, sort of like maybe giving
thanks or maybe like thinking through the journey to create
that book. Like he didn't talk about like what he
does in that moment, but he takes a minute and
then he puts it on the shelf, dude, and walks away.
And then it's like what's next, Like how can I

(16:50):
be a better writer? How can I be a more
effective communicator? And that's sort of how I'm feeling right now,
is like I'm so grateful for what we've done, and
I have this sense of, man, we have so much
to do, Like there is so many people in Dane
County and I'm not pretending like I have the answers.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
It's more like, how do we fix this?

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Like there's so many people in Dane County that are suffering,
And there's so many people that are in Dane County
that are sort of not living quality of life, not thriving,
and they don't They're stuck they're in sort of this
state of not a lack of awareness or education or
encouragement or empowerment. I don't know what it is, but

(17:31):
like that's the mission to figure out this next fifteen years.
I'm not satisfied with the dent we made in Dane
County the last fifteen years. I'm thankful for it, made
a dent one hundred thousand unique customers, like holy buckets,
more than I ever would have thought a lot of people.
That's great, But I'm like the level of suffering, how
much have we actually lowered that in Dane County?

Speaker 3 (17:51):
And the level of quality of life?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
How much have we actually increased the life expectancy for example,
or the on of pharmaceutical drugs that aren't needed and
people are sort of stuck in the side effects but
they don't know how to get out, you know. And
we have a lot of good doctors and we don't
have the education or pieces what have you. Or the
amount of surgeries that are sort of so the list
kind of can go on, like how big of a

(18:15):
dent have we made? And you know, it's like the
next fifteen years, Like I'm going for the sledgehammer man.
We're gonna get because it's about the whole community, link
in arms. It's not about just Dust. I can't do
this alone, and so I'm on fire, dude. This is
gonna be good.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
It's it's it's been a great it's thank you so
much for what you've done for the area and Dane
County and everyone. And also it's been great to be
a very small part of what you guys have done
at the Healthy Place, and it's it's so amazing to
see the growth and see how how well everybody has responded.
And as we talked this morning with Tim O'Brien from
the Healthy Places, it's a great day to get on

(18:48):
in whether it's the West side, Fitchburg or sun Prairie location.
Also got time if you got a quick question, get
you on the air. Six SO eight three two one
thirteen ten. That's six SO eight three two one thirteen ten.
And Donald joins us from Edgerton. Donald, welcome to the program.
You're on there with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Hey Donald, good morning morning, Jim, great show. I really
enjoy Thank you to you guys.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Thank you so much, man.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
And congratulation on the anniversaries.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Thank you thank you.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
So I called.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
I called about a year ago asking about alternatives for
a d D from you know, the over the counter stuff,
and I you just mentioned something about that meth laid
them blue. Yeah, could you go into a bit more
than that abs and just listen?

Speaker 3 (19:38):
So, but well, yeah, thank you Donald Dan, thanks for listening.
All right.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Methylene blue is a mineral salt, and it brings oxygen
into the cell and it brings out the trash, which
is oxidative stress or free radicals. And that is tremendous
for every system in the body because every system has cells,
and every cell has mitochondria. So this methylene blue recharges

(20:08):
strengthens the mitochondria, one of the most effective nutrients for
doing this. It brings oxygen into the cells. So it's
tremendous for endurance athletes, anyone that needs endurance oxygen more
oxygen than the brain, which is all of us. So
your focus goes up. You notice this the first the

(20:29):
first dose. Part of why I like methylene blue after
I vetted the nutrient the mineral salt, is because it's
immediate and you feel it so quickly, and so I've
battled you know, if I were to go to a
doctor and get sort of diagnosed. I would get diagnosed
with like ADHD. You know, I haven't officially done that before.

(20:52):
I have every symptom to the extreme, so I know
I have it. And I've been sort of on a
search in the supplement world for something a little bit
more powerful, like a little bit more successful. And cretom
is something that is not illegal or is not legal
in Wisconsin that that I've sort of looked a lot
into and thinking, hey, maybe when it's legal. But it

(21:14):
has side effects and there's drawbacks to it, but you
feel it immediately and it really helped me with my
ADD focus, et cetera. So not taking creative but trying
methylene blue. It's been the most successful thing for me.
And there is a plethora of brain foods out there.

(21:34):
Fish oil is amazing for add foster, tutoil seerin cool quarantine,
a lot of good nutrients out there and a lot
that work. Alphenane is amazing, especially with the little caffeine.
Methylene blue has been the most successful thing for me,
and it's safe for all ages.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
We have been giving it to Oliver who's eleven and
had a concussion because it's the studies on light therapy
with methylene blue anti cancer are remarkable. There's twenty eight
thousand published studies on PubMed dot com on methylene blue,
So highly successful nutrient and very very successful with add ADHD.

(22:15):
And I would add to it that it launches the
absorption of other ingredients as well, other nutrients suticles. So
if you take other brain foods that are good for
add like fish oil, hosphial seien, etc. With methylene blue,
now you'll have enhanced benefits. So yeah, I'd love to
chat with you Donald two if if you want to
stop by the Fitchburg store, I'll be there ten to

(22:35):
five today. Also my email Tim at find Your Healthy
Place dot com would be happy to help you.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
