thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
Gets you on there with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.
Another way to reach Tim, as he mentioned, is via
email Tim at finds your Healthy Place dot com. That's
Tim tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. We'll
actually get right to the emails this morning because we've
got as always got a few goodies as as we

(03:22):
talk with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. James writes
in This Morning says, I've been having trouble falling asleep
and staying asleep through the night, which a little commentary.
I think a lot of folks deal with this. And
this other part too, I love, is, of course, what
could supplement options for promoting better sleep? And I think
a big part of this one, too, Tim is without
feeling groggy the next day. That's a that's a big

(03:43):
issue for folks, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Two three things really I like to bring up to
everyone in this conversation of sleep is is there's like
three areas of sleep. It's it's falling asleep staying asleep
and then deeper sleep. And the first I sort of
always bring up in the sleep conversation is magnesium, because
magnesium most people are deficient in, and there's hundreds, if

(04:09):
not thousands of actions reactions in your body. In taking
magnesium benefits in every system strengthening the body. It's like
the top mineral or one of the very top mineral deficiencies.
Taking magnesium in general, people notice a better sense of
well being. Just had a testimony last night from a

(04:33):
customer where they simply added magnesium and they couldn't believe
how much it was helpful in the area of like
calming and sort of mental calmness. And it was just
kind of a random testimony. We get them all the
time for this or that or this or that, and
it's always exciting, and so this one was like, that
is such a good reminder that simply taking magnesium, you know,

(04:54):
and get a form that is highly absorbable.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
So what's most widely.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Sold that I'm not big fan of his magnesium oxide
and that doesn't absorb very well. Magnesium bisclycinate is my
favorite form of magnesium. So write down listinate or bisclytinate
slightly better, so magnesium that's number one. Number two, I'd
encourage a product like Bestressed by Peer Encapsulations Snoozefest by

(05:22):
Lively Vitamin Co.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
We're currently out of stock, hopefully getting that back in
in two weeks, mister Sean.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
But products like those will have your top herbal content
like Valerian root and Gaba Gamma amino buttric acid gets you.
It's an amino acid gets you into that deeper rem sleep.
Also having alphenine, which is like the sunshine amino acid.
Like it's just this sense of well being kind of
calming to the obnoxious sort of like obsessive thoughts we

(05:49):
can sometimes have when we're trying to fall asleep. And
then the third product I'd bring up was one of
our brand new products is a gummy ac DC strain
driven so it has the specific end dope, you know,
the cannabinoidal or not cannabinoidl I made that word up
a profile and terpene profile of the ACDC marijuana crop

(06:15):
that's grown you know, out west. So this is deconstructed content.
So that's why it's legal, and it has been helping
people stay asleep, deeper sleep kind of that whole gamut.
So those are the three big ones. So magnesium product
called best Rest I'll say for now by appear encapsulations
because we're out of snooze fest and ac DC it's

(06:38):
a gummy has two point five milligrams THHC or ten
plus that turpine cannabinoid profile I talked about from that crop.
So those three together, Sleep health, Sean is like if
we can figure out sleep, Like, so much of your
health is connected to sleep. I mean obviously energy throughout
the day, but your body's ability to recover, your immune system,

(06:59):
how you handle viruses, how you handle stress, very impacted
by sleep obviously. So it's something I like to remind people, like, hey, okay,
these are three options, but just be aware of your
sleep health and like take actions to improve it, you know.
And I'm speaking to myself right now too, Like it
just impacts. It impacts so much, and I just don't

(07:20):
think we often, you know, connect the dots.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
And obviously we think about as we talked to morning
with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online find your
Healthy Place dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com.
We talk about the importance of sleep obviously very vital
to our overall help that relaxation, that opportunity to kind
of give your body an opportunity to take a break,
and sometimes for folks tim just an opportunity to calm,

(07:46):
to calm themselves. And you mentioned ACDC and I know
very popular Pineapple Express also a lot of folks really
embracing what you're.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Able to do with it is.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Well, for yeah, it tastes super good, but the Pineapple
Express is that that hemp derived Pineapple Express strains. So
like that, again, the terpenes and the cannabinoids have a
specific ratio and profile that really hits. I mean it,
really it really. What I mean by hits is like

(08:21):
when I first tried it, I didn't think it'd be
that different than say some of the other gummies that
we have brought up in the area of like stress relief,
Like this one is actually targeted to stress specifically versus
some of the others we've talked about over the years
are sort of an umbrella that can be used for
all these different areas. So when you get specific, turns out,

(08:41):
you know, the science shows this, it was just different
experiencing it personally. It turns out that specific ratios of
cannabinoids and terpenes very much so impact the end results.
So Pineapple Express for Stress is my favorite gummy that
we've ever made, and you can get it in a
lower micro you know, THHC does two point five where

(09:03):
you don't experience any of that high or the ten milligrams,
so you need something a little bit more therapeutic. You
would experience the high there for most people. Either way,
the stress reduction has been real impressive on that one.
So yeah, thanks for putting that out.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
And it's and one of the things to Tim is
I hope people have have experienced it firsthand or folks
that may have been been listening to the program for
a number of years. You've got a large toolbox at
the healthy place and finding the right whether it's whether
it's the right CBD product, THHC product combination and that stuff,

(09:35):
or whether it's.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I mean, that's the whole, that's the whole, that's the whole.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Coolest part I think is like having this toolbox and
that's where you know Becky and n I and early on
we're like should we do commission?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Like should we do commission?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Like every experience that we've experienced before this because I
worked for GNC and another couple of different health food
stores over the years, and you know, commission was always
a part.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Of the supplement world.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
So it was it was like what I grew up with,
so to speak, because I've been you know, in health
food store since like five with my mom's battle with
cancer and her working at a health food store. So
we talked about it, and the takeaway was like, it's
just distracting. So if you have three thousand products in
your store and you know you're electing, say ten percent

(10:21):
of those to receive some sort of commission because you
want to like steer your crew all of a sudden,
like there's hundreds and hundreds of use cases for those
other twenty seven hundred products where that would be better
for the customer. It's super complex, and that's why everyone's
you know, we already know this. Everyone's very different and
we change constantly, so everyone's different, and we change year

(10:44):
to year, month to month, I mean week to week,
like our whole body has cycles, et cetera. So you
need to be able to ask questions and then you
know with with with the science and the anecdotal evidence
and how a customer's related and connecting with a supplement
and what type of difference. Like this is what we
train our wellness consultants is we have three thousand products

(11:08):
and we have tens of thousands of customers. They're all different.
So ask questions when you when they come in, ask
a few questions. You know, understand their story, where are
they coming from, how severe is it? How how much
are you like wanting to be done with this? Because
there's you can you can approach say something like chronic
pain from a therapeutic point of view. You know, you

(11:31):
can hit the inflammation with one product and then lubrication
cushioning with another product, and then balancing the end cannabinoid
system which which controls pain, with another product. And you know,
so you can depending how much somebody is suffering, and
the questions intake you know that you get. I mean,
you can really steer it. You know, you need those
three thousand products. We have them for a reason. And

(11:51):
so yeah, I'll just amen to your statement earlier.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
It's pretty amazing what you and the wellness consultants are
at the healthy place are able to do. And that
I think is as you mentioned, three thousand products. People like,
oh my goodness, how do I know, and that's such a.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Fantastic I mean, that's why we do a three I
don't know if everyone knows it, like we do a
three month training before a wellness consultant can really work
with the community. So it's nine modules, you know, quizzes, tests,
They got to go back and do it again.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
You know, if they again again, you know they It
doesn't make us doctors or pharmacists. You know.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
All it literally is is we know supplements, and we
know good better best brands, and we know the form
good better best. You know, synthetic signed Kabaloman versus natural
methyl Kabalam and B twelve like these things make a
big deal.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
It's a It's a great day to get into the
healthy place. Start that journey, start that conversation. I don't
want to wait another day. And I think for a
lot of us, I'll get in tomorrow or I'll get
in later this week. Today is the day to get
on in, especially if you're in the in the Fitchburg.

Speaker 1 (12:54):

one thirteen ten. Continue your conversation with Tim and we'll

(13:39):
Healthy Place continues right here on thirteen ten. Dou wuib
A eight forty seven thirteen ten Wuba and ask the Experts,

O'Brien from the Healthy Place. If you've got a question
for Tim, he's got an answer for you. I'd love
to start that conversation. I got to just pick up
phone gifts call right now six oh eight three two
one thirteen ten. That's so eight, three, two, one, thirteen ten.

(14:02):
Fantastic day to get into any one of the locations
of the Healthy Place, whether it's West side of Madison, Fitchburg,
or Sun Prairie. Don't forget today is Wednesday. That means
extra specially if you get on in to the Fitchburg
location of the Healthy Place. Tim is hanging out there
from ten until five on Wednesday, so he'll be there
with you today. Of course, there are great wellness consultants
at all three locations of the Healthy Place. Also online

(14:23):
finds your Healthy Place dot com. Let's fined your Healthy
Place dot com. And I mentioned the emails Tim at
finds your Healthy Place dot com. We got another email
from another James and this is uh, these guys get
very timely with the questions because James says, with all
the stuff going around, I'm looking for ways to keep
my immune system strong. Do you have any supplements that

(14:44):
are especially good for immune support? And that email is
also from a James.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Yeah, James, you know, first thing I would do is
get get some some Elderberry Boom or a product like it.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Elderberry is amazing.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Elderberry Boom is a good formula by lively vitamin CO
and it has that active compound from Elderberry that sembucus,
which is a powerhouse when it comes to minimizing the
severity and duration of viruses. So University of Sydney I
like to point to very cool clinical trial back in
twenty twenty also substantiating this idea that Elderberry minimizes the

(15:22):
ability of a virus to get into the cell. So
that was kind of cool. Elderberry Boom product number one,
that'll boost your immune system like asap. And you can
do that, you know, three three times a day or
three four times a day. You can hit that really hard.
And in the Elderberry Boom you have a nice kick
of vitamin D, you have vitamin C, you have zinc,

(15:44):
and those three together also powerhouse for immune system. So
that's good Eldberry Boom. Second product they always bring up
in general, like we want to yes, if we're sick
right now, we want to be not sick right now.
In general, though, like a probiotic eighty percent of your
immune system. This is so this is a way to
build your immune system is with a probiotic. Elderberry is like, Okay,

(16:06):
we're getting attacked right now.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
We're sick. Right now, we let's get out of this hole.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
You know. I put like cleto silver in there too,
like b propolis in there as as a couple more.
But then when it comes to building your immune system,
that's where you want to be taking a probiotics. So
eighty percent of your immune systems directly controlled by your gut,
and your good and bad bacteria is always in a
race which everyone's winning decides the state and health or

(16:32):
the rest of your body. Great Guts Bilively Vitamin co
Clear Labs has excellent probiotics. There's you know, we have
a half dozen options at the Healthy Place. Great Guts
is my favorite. You know, I've formulated it and I
love it. It has like fifty strains, it has sacrifices Blardi,

(16:53):
and it has probiotics.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
So probiotic.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
You know, we've all been hearing about probiotics, and then
we started hearing about probiotics. So picture rainforests, you know,
all the canopy of trees in that is your gut
flora and rain to the rainforest. It's like food for
the healthy bacteria to grow. So you want to strengthen
your immune system. So probatic is big. I would I

(17:17):
would both have that, which is you know, in the
cabinet to attack, and i'd have something you're taking daily
to build.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Great question, James, And of course yeah, you ever want
any more information, not only can you stop in and talk,
you can always email Tim at find your Healthy Place
dot com. It's Tim ti am at find your Healthy
Place dot com. One of the things you know, I
obviously a lot of folks will always ask me, O, hey,
what's Tim like and what do you know about the
Healthy Place? And then to also also say, oh, I

(17:46):
you know, I was in and I love to everything
about the Healthy Place so welles consultants were great Tim.
If they had a chance to meet they always say, oh,
Tim is so great. He's so energetic, he's so positive
and upbeating. I say yeah, and they say, oh, everything
goes great. And I sometimes I say, are people just
telling me that because they know I really you know
that I really like what you do and I and
so I like reading like the reviews on your website

(18:06):
because it's like these are completely unbiased people that are
just that are just responding to, you know, what they've experienced,
and like the number of just phenomenal reviews from folks
that you guys get at the healthy place, from people
that you know that started that journey, and we're oftentimes
unsure maybe in the past to tried different types of

(18:27):
supplements and maybe hadn't seen success. And you start reading
story after story of these people that took that first step,
they got in and they got the right stuff.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I mean, I'm been transparent where like, you know, sometimes
I have that voice in my head that's like you're
you're just you know, lame, and so then how I'm
feeling kind of low, you know, I'll read through the
testimonies like helped me up, boost me up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Well, it's just neat.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
I mean, it reminds me like why we do what
we do, and like people are suffering all over the
city constantly and they don't know that there's these simple
natural alternative that can help impact their life. Is a
small way, mediumway, or large way, you know, my mom's
example with cancer is a large way with the natural world.
And with something small like like say you just have

(19:11):
like a a sniffle at.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Point, I don't know that's what came to me.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
It's like why not try, like if that bugs you
and follows you around like if you have any health concern,
like why not at least know what natural alternative has
been working for this community right here? Dane County is
the focus. So you get these, you know, thousands of these,
these these anecdotal you know, testimonies, and you just start
to get some clarity on what works and what doesn't work,
and what brands are good, better, best, and what forms

(19:37):
are better if you have this deficiency or that, and
that's what our team's good at. So you know, as
as Sean Prival says, today's the day.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
You know, you talk too about some of you know,
some of those little things, and you know, we think
about like the sniffles, it's the biggest deal in the
world now, not really what the reality is. It's it's
something that that affects our overall quality of life. And
think you along to those lines of the little things
I was reading. One of the reviews I was reading
was about about somebody that ordered online and they were

(20:07):
really happy about the shipping speed, which is which is
great to hear, but they also pointed out they say,
not only can you tell that it was packed with care,
there's a little handwritten thank you note in there as well,
and you talk about kind of those those little things
that you know that you're really not going to and
generally don't expect that anyway, but certainly if you go
to like big box store, this, this, you know, big

(20:29):
A to z.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
You know what I learned, dude, I learned this in
a book somebody super smart.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
You know.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
It was like like, if you add so much value
in a business to your community, then the money takes
care of itself. So I like heard that and internalize
that in early and so literally our top metric, yeah,
our top KPI key performance indicator that we're always pushing
on is how do we add more value to our community,

(20:57):
because like, the more we can do that, the more
we can improve their health, the more we can educate them,
the more we can inspire them, the more that we
can be a resource to them, like all the way
down to like a little thank you note. Right, It's
like because everything we do matters, you know, and it's
like why not in every action, make it be the
highest potential action that we can give in that moment,

(21:18):
Like why not? And so it's just the top metric
and it's really exciting for our team to talk about
because like it deals with things like you know, I
read a book Unreasonable Hospitality it's called, and it's like
going over the top for someone who needs it.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
You know, it's just fun.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
I don't know, I mean to me, like you can
build on yourself with negativity, like you can keep becoming
more and more negative and you can keep building on
that infrastructure in your mind, heart, life, et cetera. Or
you can do like the opposite, like what would happen
if you just keep giving more?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Like better to give than to receive?

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Right, Like we've heard those things like I pour out
my cup and my cup is fillith you know.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Or something. You know, it's just like why not create
that with the community.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
And so the more we've done that, the more it's
been rewarding for the team, and the more testimonies we
get from the community.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
It's just like a fun win win it is.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
It's great to see and it's obviously for you know, personally,
having firsthand experience success with the Healthy Place, it's always
great to see that feedback. And of course you are
lucky enough each and every day to get to experience
and see that type of thing. And that's one of
the great things too. I know, you know when you
were working in the office every day you were it

(22:36):
was not your natural environment. You wanted to be with people.
You wanted to be helping people firsthand. And what a
rewarding thing it's been. Of course, as we talk with
Tim this morning, don't forget Fitchburg location from ten until
five on Wednesdays, and today is a Wednesday, which means
you can stop on out, yes, say hello, give Tim
a big high five and start that journey again, whether
it's the Fitchburg location, Sun Prairie or west Side location

(22:57):
of the Healthy Place Online finds your Healthy Place that's
fine you or healthy place dot Com. Real quick too, Tim,
I just wanted to ask about grab and go. I
know that's been a very popular option for folks especially
you know, we have busy lifestyles. You want to grab
a quick snack. You guys have have great options for
people in that in that area too, don't you.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Oh yeah, just the little things, right, like what do
you have as a snack or a drink? And like
like why not to light drink and an Aloha bar
instead of the you know, mountain dew and Snickers bar.
It's like so just these like subtle changes and then
we reduce the costs, like we're selling those just at

(23:37):
like a break even is the goal, so that we
can make that hurdle lower because health food in general
is just more expensive. So that's something that we want
to keep growing with. Yeah, thanks for mentioning that.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
It's a great day to get on into the healthy place.
As I like to tell you, it's always a fantastic
day today today. Don't wait any longer, don't put that off.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Yeah, fine, find something little to do today, Like we
all have stuff that from us every day and then
gives to us every day, Like just do do try
to do like like like maybe remove something that you
don't have to do that takes from you, Like think
about what takes from you, and then think about what
gives to you, and like maybe just do something little
that would give to you, you know, and keep building.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
That's get on into the healthy place today, west Side Madison, Fitchburger,

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
