in other ways to reach out. Love to have you
join us this morning. Of course, we've got Tim O'Brien
from the Healthy Place on with us. And if you've
got a question for Tim, love to have you join us.
Tell when I'm gonna get on there. Six oh eight

(00:26):
three two one thirteen ten. That's six oh eight three
two one thirteen ten. We get down the air, Tim
will give you a little thank you. We'll talk a
little bit about that in just a moment, but first
I want to mention to you the three locations of
the Healthy Place, west side of Madison, Sun Prairie in Fitchburg,
and something special about the Fitchburg location on Wednesdays, Tim,
what goes on on Wednesdays?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I get to be there.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
And I say get because I've you know, in some
ways I've been stuck about a mile down from the
Fitchburg store in my office since twenty nineteen, I had
to step out to organize the company and streamline management
and figure out how to manage because we grew kind
of fast in that CBD bum And so then five
years later, I'm back in the stores. I feel like
there needs to be some sort of joke cartoon made

(01:09):
of like I am back and ready to attack because
I missed my community. And it's been really rewarding to
be at the Fitchburg store ten to five every Wednesday,
and I will be doing that for the foreseeable future.
So if I have not seen you for years and years,
come out to the Fitchburg store today, give a high five.
If you have a consultation or you're wondering about natural

(01:33):
alternatives for you or a loved one. I love giving consultations.
That's why Becky and I started the company, is really
to guide the community towards natural alternatives that work. And
that's always been my favorite part of my job is
getting to work with you. And so come on out today,
tend to five every Wednesday for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
It's a great day to get on into the Fitchburg
location of the Healthy Place or West sid or Sun location.
But again, get into the Fitchburg location. On Wednesdays, Tim
is hanging out from ten until five. You can learn
more online find your Healthy Place dot com. That's fined
your Healthy Place dot com. Don't forget as well to
check them out on social media, whether it's the Facebook page, Instagram.
They have got a great YouTube channel as well. I

(02:16):
can link to those right from find your Healthy Place
dot com or if you're on those social media platforms,
you can also search for them there as well. Instagram
for example, let's at find your underscore Healthy Place. Maybe
a need what is that? What song is said? It's
an M and M song. Guess who's back?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Beck? Oh yeah, yeah, yes, come on dude, there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
A little walk up music for when you're when you're
coming in in the start.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
So yes, yes, And.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
As mentioned also we take phone calls and Tim of
course phone number three two one thirteen ten. That's three
two one thirteen ten. Love to get you on there
with Tim O'Brien and Tim. When folks do call in,
not only do they get a great answer, they get
a little thank you from you.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Don't give a twenty five dollars gift card. It's kind
of a thank you because questions lead to direction answers
and if you have a question today on natural alternatives
that are working for our community for any health challenge, small,
medium or large, now's a good time to call.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
In six So wait three two one thirteen ten. That's
three two one thirteen ten gets you right on the
air with Tim O'Brien from The Healthy Place. Another way
to reach Tim is via the email Tim at find
your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim tim at find
your Healthy Place dot com. As a matter of fact,
Sarah took the time to type out an email send
us a question. She says, I've been trying to eat healthier.

(03:29):
That's good work, but I struggle to get enough vegetables
in my meals. I've tried smoothies and salads, but it's
hard to stay consistent with my busy schedule. Do you
have any simple ways to get more greens in my diet?
And that email is from Sarah.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Sarah, that is a brilliant question, and that is a
common one. I mean both for adults and kiddos. You know,
Becky and I have five kids and it is tough.
I will absolutely testify getting all the right amount of
foods and new nutrients into our kids with busy life,
and so I in first. I like to remind people

(04:06):
that I'm passionate about diet first, then exercise, then supplements.
That's sort of my priority. That's the order that I
love to kind of preach, if you will. And in
the supplement space, there are greens powders, phyto nutrient powders,
fruit powders that are freeze dried in a way that
is similar to juicing, So you can get the very

(04:29):
similar dense, dense nutrient from the greens that's comparable to juicing,
which if you've ever juiced before, it is very expensive,
it's very time consuming the cleanup. Becky and I have
done it for times on and off, and it is
an ordeal. So I am passionate about these greens powders.

(04:49):
So Lively Vitamin co. We came out with the greens
powders last year and it tastes really good. We sample
it every day in our stores because people don't believe
us that it tastes it until they taste it. So
come into one of the stores, say hey, hurt him
on the radio, I guess you guys got a sample
of the greens powder that tastes okay, you know, come
into the stores, get a free sample. But this greens

(05:12):
powder is dynamite. I mean, there's a number of them
in the industry, and there's a number of really good
ones in the industry. So I'm not pretending that this
is the only one, but one that tastes good is
kind of essential to retain people on. So for years
I recommended greens powders that they you know, my joke
is it tastes kind of like the front lawn, kind

(05:32):
of like that part of the you know, if you're
mowing the lawn, you got those chunks of grass that
fall off the mower, you know it just take a
bite out of that.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
That's most greens powders.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
So when we engineered Lively's Greens, that's the one we're
sampling in the stores. We wanted it to have the
fruit phyto nutrient antioxidant component because it helps the taste
of the greens so much. So when you taste it,
you're like, oh, that's actually kind of fruity, kind of
like a fruity blends. It's sweet, not too sweet, naturally,

(06:06):
there's not extra sugar in there anything like that.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Forty two superfoods.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Phytoonutrient content, so you have I'm getting over excited here, Sean,
I gotta take a breath here, but you feel good
on it, so I'm drinking it right now actually, so
you get an energy boost. It cleans your system out,
so it aids your digestion. Natural energy has probiotics in there,

(06:31):
healthy neotropics, so like cognitive mental clarity, focus, but you
get all of those greens, which is really the important part.
You know, you can take a pH strip about an
hour after drinking a green shake like this and see
it move towards alkalinity. So in the battle of cancer,
for example, you know that's why. You know, one of

(06:52):
the reasons vegetables are so good for you is anti cancer.
It alkalizes the body. So cancer thrives in an acidic
environment and it dies in an alkaline environment. So you
want to be aware of you know, that's why steering
clari sota for example, like, we don't want to we
don't want a body that's more acidic. We want to
move towards alkalinity. So doing a greens powder like this

(07:12):
every day will alkalize the body and give a nice
boost nutrents like alfelfa in here, wheat grass, barley grass,
by relina, kale, dandelion, oat straw, astragulus, and you know
that's the greens portion, and then you get the reds,
the fruits that are the red fruits, so asai berry,
your your beetroot, your om la fruit, your cranberry. So

(07:34):
it's just golden, has a ton of goodies in there.
I notice that my stress comes down when I drink it,
and that's because the adaptogen blend, which has like maka
ashwaganda cordyceps from the mushrooms, and then the Focus Memory blend,
which I turned forty sean, so I start watching my
memory health and my brain health.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
I mean, it's a topic that needs attention.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
And you know the Focus Memory blend in this greens powder,
you know, ginko and Lion's main mushroom and foscuto, al
serene and rodeola just our top brain foods for your body.
And then you get a digestive support too. And so
I'm kind of amped about powders in general because I've
been I've been recommending supplements, you know, since I was

(08:15):
like six years old.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
My mom at our health food store in Muskigo, Wisconsin.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
And you know, I'm passionate about the topic in general,
like what and when you give your body the right nutrients,
what your body can do in areas like immune system
or recovery or reducing inflammation or cleaning up gut health Like,
it's an incredible topic for me, giving the body the
right nutrients what it can do in the body. And

(08:39):
so bridging off of that, you know, a powder, if
you get a scoop of powder, it might take sixteen
capsules to equal one of these scoops of this Lively
Greens powder I'm talking about. And so this idea of
powders mixing in a shake where you can get so
many goodies in one scoop is pretty cool. And then

(09:02):
so I have well this is you know, bridging off
the question here, but you know, I have seven different
powders that I mix together in my morning shake and
one of those scoops is this Lively Greens. And I
love how much nutrition you can get in your body
in a quality shake. So you know you're looking for

(09:22):
more greens in your system, try Lively Greens, you know.
And then bridge off that, like what other struggles challenges
do you have health wise and then ask our team like, hey,
you know, do you have another powder that would help
with with this issue. You know a lot of people
are low on protein. They're not getting enough protein in
your your their meals daily. I was talking to my
mother in law a couple of nights ago about that

(09:42):
she's struggling in so why not get a scoop of
protein with your greens powders, you know. And then I'm
always looking for more cognitive help between my kids and
my business, and so I love those amino acids, you know,
taurine and tyrosine, and you can the goal acronym glue
to meine, ornithine, argentie, lucien, you can anti aging benefits, cognitives,

(10:06):
you can stimulate your body's natural growth hormones with those
amino acids.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
So then you're getting deeper rest.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
And I've been like surprised waking up in the mornings,
and I think it's from this lively greens and those
amino acids I just mentioned, Like I'm waking up feeling
more vibrant, more alert, more energy, and I'm not historically
a morning person. So getting the right nutrients is very cool,
and so I would invite you to pop in one

(10:33):
of our stores. Call us, send me an email Tim
at find your Healthy Place dot com. You know what
health area do you struggle in? Is it energy? Is
it stress? Is it cognitive health? Is it digestion? Is
it something more serious and concerning? Like ask the questions
are the Healthy Place? Is business set up literally to

(10:55):
be a resource, like it doesn't cost money to ask
these questions. Are wellness consultant army studies this stuff every
day and it doesn't make us doctors or pharmacists. I
always like to say we have some of the best
in the world here in Madison, Wisconsin. You already have
that on the supplement side and the natural alternative side.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
We no nutrition.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
We know what's working in the supplement space, what forms
of ingredients absorb better. You know methyl kabalum and B
twelve versus sign cabalum and B twelve like like, use
our resource called the Healthy Place to ask questions. Get
alternatives in your back pocket doesn't mean you buy them,
doesn't mean you switch to them. But you have this

(11:39):
understanding and knowledge in your back pocket which is profound
over the years, and you know it's all about living
a better quality of life and being healthier and feeling better.
We all know people that are alive but are not living,
and so we want to thrive, not just survive.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
It's you talk about ively greens as well, and I
think yeah, the typically the big complaint for folks with
these with powdered supplements, green supplements is the taste you
offer in the store, a free sample that people can.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Taste and.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
The kids, oh that's good, and then there these kids
into getting all these goodies.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
The other great thing it does is it frees up
counter space. Tim. One of the things I know about folks,
they're juicers. You buy them and then you use it
and then they just sit there and take up counter space.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yes, yes, and juicer right now.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, that win win on every level. It's a great
day to get on into the healthy place. They love
to see your smiling face, whether it's sun Prairie, West
Side of Medisine or the Fitchburg location. Don't forget it's Wednesday.
That means Wednesday. At the Fitchburg location, Tim O'Brien will
be hanging out looking for high fives, looking to talk
with you. Between ten and five, So get on in
Love to see you. Of course, Welm's consultants standing by

(12:54):
at all the locations of the Healthy Place. Also, you
can start a conversation on the website find your Healthy
Place dot com. That's fine, your Healthy Place dot com.
If you've got a question, we've got a line open
for you. Love to get you on the air with Tim.
Six oh eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six
soh eight three two one thirteen ten. We'll take your call.
We'll continue our conversation with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy

(13:14):
Place as ask the experts with the Healthy Place continues
right here on thirteen ten Wui b A eight fifty
thirteen ten Wui b A and ask the experts. Hanging
out with Tim O'Brien. Of course, Tim comes to us
from the Healthy Place. I am having a hard time
getting everything perfect this morning, but that's that's part of living. Tim.
You know we talk about spending time and hanging out

(13:36):
in the at the Fitchburg location. For folks that don't
know this, I will tell you that the excitement is genuine.
I will I will share a little thing. I remember
talking with you when when you made the decision to
start getting back into the stores regularly, Tim was little
like there was a glow coming off of you because
you were so excited about it. But you really do love,

(13:58):
love meeting with people. And it's not only meeting with people,
helping people, but ultimately seeing results for people, don't you.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
You know, I don't know when it started in my life,
but people are my favorite thing and I like people
a lot. You know, I'm obviously an extrovert. I don't
even like it's not even like that it's anything good
in me, Like it's like a physiological response, like when
I see another human, I'm excited to see you. And
it's just true, Like that's just so being in the stores,

(14:27):
like I just get to see my community, you know,
And every Wednesday that I'm there, there's another dozen people
that it's been like five years since I've seen them.
And for those that don't know how a health food
store works, you know, you have somebody at a health
food store that knows nutrition or knows supplements, and somebody
in the community connects with them and a recommendation is

(14:49):
made that impacts their life, and it might just be
something small like a Greens powder, you know, that we
were just talking about, and they struggled with energy and
digestive problems and maybe stress and maybe this greens power
helped increase their quality of life by two percent let's
just be super conservative. So now that person has this
consultant that they know of that they can ask questions too.

(15:10):
So from twenty ten to twenty nineteen and to twenty nineteen,
so nearly a full ten years. Like you work with
the community every month, Like you're seeing these people like
every month or every other month, and you're having you know,
sometimes two minute connects, sometimes hours of connection every month
to deal with these more serious issues. So you develop

(15:32):
these relationships and many, many, many many of these relationships,
and you know, each one is special to me because
that's like what I'm supposed to do in life is
help people and care for people and love people. I
mean that's just what gets me out of bed in
the morning, making a difference. Same with my own kids,
my own family, Like that's my mission. It's it's people.
And so love being in the office. I mean when

(15:54):
you get to you get to help guide the company
from where I get to sit and helping more. You know,
last year I think I was pretty vocal about us
hitting one hundred thousand unique customers with their health. I mean,
that's a dream that when I was nineteen years old
just getting into this business, like actually working and getting

(16:14):
a paycheck for it. Like, I never dreamed about helping
that many people. And that's what I get to do
over at the office. But something about the power of
one and having one person in front of me that
I can maybe serve and help is so different than
helping you know, might be tens of thousands of people
over at my office. There's just a very different transaction

(16:39):
that happens there. So coming into the story. So like
I said, if I haven't seen you in a little
while and we journeyed together for those ten years, like
pop back in, give a high five, It'll make my day.
And shout out to Roseanne who came in last week
and I haven't seen her for five years, just as
an example, Jake the week before. I mean, there's a
dozen names that I could shout out, and I am

(17:00):
grateful for it. So pop in, if I haven't seen
you in a while, high five. And to those that
are like, who is this kid? Like way too excited
about supplements, I'd love to meet you if you have
a health consultation for you or a loved one. Just
like a question like what I challenge the community, sean
pretty regular, is what's your number one health struggle? Just

(17:22):
think about that for a minute, like maybe there's a
few of them, But my challenge is your number one
health struggle for you or a loved one. I challenge
you to it and if not my company, that's fine,
go somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
It's not about the healthy Place. It's about you, and
it's about empowering you and educating you to become the
CEO of your own health. And my challenge is that
health condition that bugs you. Maybe it's just energy, maybe
it's stress, maybe it's sleep, maybe it's something more chronic.
Stop in the healthy place, ask the question, so what's
the community doing for this fill in the blank. And

(17:57):
our wellness Consultant Army like, we don't do commission. I
came out of a commission structure and it's distracting, you
know over at GNC and a commission it can.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Just be distracting.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
So our Wellness Consultant Army will respond with what's working
for our community? And the very cool part about that
recommendation is it has been tried and true because there's
nothing new under the sun, and the conditions you bring
up are very common. I mean, it's the eighty twenty rule.
So there's definitely less common conditions bring them up though,

(18:31):
as the point, like over the last fifteen years, June
will mark fifteen years the Healthy Place has been in
business starting in twenty ten. My journey started, you know,
far before that, with my mom at the Muschigo GNC
back in goodness. You know, I was five six years old,
so I would have been nineteen nineties when my journey began.
And so the response that comes back will be tried

(18:52):
and true, tested again and again. And we meet every
two weeks as a wellness consultant team over at our
office in Fitchburg to ask the question, how can we
better educate the community, How can we increase our success
in their health struggles and challenges? How can we better
partner with our medical system, our amazing set of doctors

(19:16):
and pharmacists and nurses and surgeons in Madison. How can
we better partner? How can we be more successful in
helping them find their healthy place? So that's my challenge.
You have a health condition, like what's your top struggle.
Everybody has something, and that's a great way to start
that journey of finding out what natural solution could help me,

(19:37):
and maybe it helps you get away from a pharmaceutical
drug that treats a symptom but damages your body. You know,
why not find or try at least a supplement or
a nutraceutical that treats the same symptom but then offers
health benefits and increases your quality of life, increases your
life expectancy, maybe decreases your maybe chances of of needing

(20:01):
pharmaceutical drugs or surgeries in the future. Like prevention is
where it's at, you know. Doctor Ajail Gul is one
of my heroes. He works out a Baylor University and
was trying to find the cure for cancer for the
first ten years of his career. And the more he
became educated on nutraceuticals, big pharma, pharmaceutical drugs, chemotherapy, radiation,

(20:22):
et cetera, He's like, I'm going to shift into the
world of prevention instead of trying to find a cure
because I can save one hundred thousand times more people
in the prevention space. Because it's something like nineteen percent
of people are walking around with the terminal illness that
they don't even know about. So he's like, I'm going

(20:42):
to go after prevention and the science that's coming from
around the world on epigenetics, which means above genetics. You know,
genetics you can't change. You might develop a disease that's
you know, one hundred percent from your genetics and you
can't control that. Well, there's the the top scientists in
the world, like the belief structure around that which can

(21:05):
be prevented has turned up side down on its head.
Eighty percent of disease is now being said to be
more in the epigenetic space, which is that which you
can prevent, decrease the probability, decrease the severity of it
developing in your body. And so early detection is cool.
If you can get blood tests like a full men's

(21:27):
or full women's panel once a year. You know, I'm
always encouraging people like get the testing that's needed to
detect these things early. And then what nutrients you know
are backed by significant science and healthy reason to believe
that it will protect your body strengthen your body. Nutrients

(21:48):
like BCM ninety five curcumin that clean your body of inflammation,
which inflammation is the root of all disease, all pain,
digestive disorders. Why not clean your body of inflammation every
day with like kirkhuman you know, fish oil. There's a
whole list, and then that's your foundations. But what about
your specific struggles. You might have lung condition, well, five

(22:12):
locks inflammation is very common in the lungs asthma, COPD
and be bosuelia. Boz peer is my favorite form of busuelia.
Targets that five locks inflammation. I have asthma, grew up
with asthma. It's helped me a lot. It's helped me
get away from the medication s, theian haalers, et cetera.
So that's my challenge for you, if you're listening, you know,

(22:34):
take your top health condition, bring it into the healthy
Place and just see what's been working already for our community.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
It's pretty amazing. It's a great opportunity to get on
in today. Is today to do that. Whether it's the
West Side location, sun Prairie or Fitchburg location of the
Healthy Place, they'd love to see you. Wellness consultants standing
by mentioned Fitchburg. It's a Wednesday. That means Tim is
hanging out from ten until five. He'd love to see you. You
can learn more online on the website find your Healthy
Place dot com. That's fined your Healthy Place dot com.

(23:00):
It's always great talking with you, my friend. You enjoy
this beautiful day. We'll do it all again.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
In a week. You too, Shan, Thanks so much, brother, and.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
