Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome back to the Hub on Hollywood and iHeartRadio podcast.
I'm your co host James.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Rojas and I'm Jamie Blanco.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
On this week's episode, the best movie of the year
may be about a friendly robot in the forest who
will have a non spoiler review for the Wild Robots,
the Nickelodeon classic rug Rafts coming to live action. Is
this a good idea? I'm not sure, but and I'm
sure a completely unrelated topic. But we will be going
(00:33):
over the worst and scariest CGI babies in the cinema,
a totally unrelated We're also going to be hitting on
the hottest cast of actors and movies out this year.
Do you like that? Hy on the hot cast this year? Apparently,
(00:54):
apparently there's no there's no limit for artificial intelligence, because
that's how this list was put together. That's how you know.
We are in the end of days for a terminator
to judgment. Day hits us before that hits us, Jamie,
we are officially in the Halloween spooky season. Do you
do you feel the terror, the horror, the vibes you
(01:20):
are you feeling all that right now?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Jamie?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Sure? But you know what those vibes they're giving me life. Okay,
they are invigorating me. The leaves are changing, James, It's
just it's a beautiful, beautiful time in New England. You know,
Salem is doing what Salem does best. You know the
witches are out the you know, the coffees are are
(01:42):
out and people are doing there.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yes, you the pictures or video of Salem so far,
like the first weekend of Halloween, it's already chaotic. It's
already crazy filled and packed. And again the Mayor's reminding everyone,
don't drive here. You will not fine parking. You'll be
driving for five hours. And when you do get to
walking around, everything is already reserved. So you have to
(02:08):
have a game plan. You just can't wander into Salem.
You need reservations for certain attractions or events or tours
because they're all packed, they're all filled.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, you needed to have booked this like two months ago.
But you know, take the train like we did the
Hub on Hollywood. We went down to Salem last year.
We took the train. That took what an hour and
a half to get there on the train, but we
made it and it's such an experience, it really is.
It's worth it. Though it's worth it. It's great out
(02:38):
there right now. So yes, feeling it. I'm feeling it.
What about you, James?
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I am feeling it. And I'm a big horror fan,
a big horror movie fan. So this is peak horror
movie season. And so for the rest of the horror
fans in Boston, you are in luck because there is
this spine chilling festival of sorts that's going on. You
can watch it from the comfort of your local AMC. Blumfest,
(03:04):
put together by Blumhouse Studios. They are all across the nation,
but also here, of course in Boston. They are screening
their best, their favorite, their top grossing, most spookiest Blumhouse
Nightmares back on the big screen. And here in Boston
they're gonna be participating at the Boston Common Liberty Liberty
(03:25):
Tree mal Methuin over in your neck of the woods, Jane,
and also framing him at the MC's they're going to
be having Insidious two showings back on the big screen.
Happy Death Day. I haven't seen that, but I heard
it's really good. The Black Phone with Ethan Hawk another
really good film. And also you saw this one. We
reviewed it on the Hub on Hollywood five Nights at Freddy's.
(03:48):
I was gonna say freddy Knights at Freddy's, but it's
five nights of Freddy's.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Five Nights at Freddy's, which was pretty fun. That was
a great movie.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yes, yeah, So right now if you are a big fan,
they're having a weekly screening, so each Wednesday of this month,
so the next one will be October ninth, October sixteenth,
October twenty third, and the thirtieth. That's when each of
these movies will play. So check out your local listings
at your AMC, whether you're in Boston, whether you're in
you're in New England, or anywhere across the country. Check
(04:17):
out your AMC if you are a big fan of
Blumhouse because those are coming back right on time, right
in the nicked time for spooky season. Speaking about spooky
and scary movies and another Blumhouse studio film, this movie
coming out is called A House of Spoils and it
stars a local Beverly native, Savage Bridget Savage Cole. She's
(04:43):
the director of this film and she along with Academy
Award winner Arianna de Bois. They will be in Beverly,
just north of Boston over at the Cabin Theater screening
House of Spoils. It's already on Amazon Prime, but you
can watch it right there on the big screen with
the director, with the star and then afterwards, after the
(05:04):
screening there will be this Q and A. So this
is a really cool movie and for those who are
not aware, House of Spoils follows an ambitious chef as
she opens a restaurant on a remote estate, where she
battles kitchen chaos, crushing self doubts, and a haunting presence
who threatens to sabotage her at every turn. So again,
(05:24):
this is on Amazon Prime right now. But if you
are in the area, if you want to meet these locals,
celebrate the locals and their hard work, and watch a
great movie on big screen, check out the Kaba Theater
in Beverly, Massachusetts. Again, that is happening next week next
week Thursday.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I love that it's hard enough being a chef without
having a ghostly presence also messing with your recipes and whatnot.
That sounds that sounds like a great one. Sticking with
the North Shore, James the Hub on Hollywood has been
doing a series of Instagram videos where we are going
(06:04):
out to film locations around Massachusetts. The last couple of
weeks I've been in the North Shore. I was down
at Crane Beach in Ipswich and on Revere Beach where
they filmed Little Women and A Fall Guy, respectively, respectively.
(06:25):
Right anyways, So, but if you are into film locations,
of which there are very many, many many in Massachusetts,
there is an upcoming event that you do not want
to miss. It's called Made in Massachusetts one hundred years
of Filmmaking in the Bay State. This is so up
(06:46):
our alley. It is upcoming Sunday, October thirteenth at two
pm at the Triplex Cinema in Great Barrington, So go
to the Triplex dot org for tickets for that is
a three plus hour chronological compilation of scenes from over
(07:07):
two hundred films and TV shows shot in the Massachusetts
from nineteen twenty two to twenty twenty two. Incredible, so
you definitely don't want to miss that. We're going to
be talking with the organizers of this event next week,
so check back in with the Hub on Hollywood next week.
(07:28):
That's going to be a really fun interview and you
don't want to miss that event either.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
So I was just googling right now. I was trying
to see if we had California beats because you said,
what the first movie stretches back to like nineteen twenty two,
you said, the.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
First movie in that they're going to be showcasing right
with locations filmed in Massachusetts.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Right right, So nineteen twenty two. I was trying to see,
how do we compete with Hollywood West akaog Hollywood. And
apparently they had a film in nineteen ten, so they
kind of have us beat by ten years or so.
But that's a look at that long, beautiful history of
filmmaking here in Massachusetts in New England going back to
(08:11):
the twenties. So you know, we're right with the Hollywood.
You may have had your time in the shine for
decades and decades and decades, we're right behind you. We're
gonna get you.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Hollywood East is coming for you.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Absolutely absolutely. Yeah. Now, as for a movie that I'm
not sure is or maybe should be filmed not only
in New England but anywhere.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Anywhere, is Jamie.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Jamie. When I first sad you the story, what went
through your head? Because the headline read rug Rats Live
Action movie and works okay.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
And then it said CGI babies CG.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Did you watch rug Rats growing up? Oh?
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Absolutely, yeah, yeah, and you know, and I loved the
rug Grats, absolutely regular rotation. I love Tommy Pickles, I
love Angelica and Chucky and you know, and the twins
and everything.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Wil and Phil, Yeah, Will and Phil.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
And you know what's so wonderful about it, it's, you know,
hand drawn animation. It meant a lot to people back
in the day, and it should stay that way. I think,
I think James, for some reason, for some reason, in
twenty twenty four, right, it's twenty twenty four, we have
(09:30):
gone back to like the Uncanny Valley kind of movie
creations of the early two thousands. For some reason, a
lot of the movies that are coming out recently, I
don't know if they're they're relying more heavily on on
AI or what the heck is going on, but the
CGI is just getting it seems to be getting worse
(09:54):
and worse and worse and more overly done, like filmmakan
has gotten lazy, like they're trying to pump these out faster,
Like I don't know what is happening, but for some reason,
we are revisiting that territory, and I would just absolutely
hate to see Tommy Pickles be this become a CGI abomination, uh,
(10:17):
like so many things that we've seen recently or that
are coming out, like the Snow White movie. And I
especially don't want it to look like the the image
that you created CD if you check out our social media,
h James created this this kill it with fire abomination
of the Tommy Pickles.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
So what I did I want? Because because AI is everywhere,
apparently we escape it in Hollywood wants to use it
so much so, but I use an an artificial intelligent
program and I just put in live action Tommy Pickles,
rug Rats baby, YadA YadA, Yeah it popped out. I
(10:58):
will say this is the one that is posted that
that is either the thumbnail for the YouTube video or
on our social media. That was maybe the seventh or
eighth try at trying to find like a normal as
normal baby live action Rugrats as possible, because the previous
ones were just horrendous, like monsters from the movie The
(11:18):
Thing John Carpenter is the thing where they have extra
arms and limbs and toes of the nerves and just
like it was weird. So the one that I posted,
believe it or not, with how weird it is and
how it looks, that was the best version. It is,
but that is it's terrifying. But basically Paramount is the
one I want to find out who's behind the scenes
green lighting this stuff because Paramount putting together the film
(11:42):
as you mentioned, featuring CGI babies in a live action world,
pitch perfect director Jason Moore helming the project, with Saturday
Night Live actor Mikey Day writing the script. Rugrats debuted
on Nickelodeon in nineteen ninety one and ran for several seasons,
inspiring three different films. Come out with more films like
like the animated film, or like come out with like
(12:04):
a soft reboot of the show, put it off the
amount plus or what have you, and then come out
with the movie, but the live act like you know,
you know Sonic, right, you know Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Yes,
that works because you know everyone else. Yeah, it's a
real world and you have like this this you know,
two and a half foot three foot tall Sonic and
it works because like it's it's a character that doesn't
(12:27):
resemble anything else in the world. We know what babies
look like, we see them every day and seeing a
CGI baby crawl, walk, talk, you know, whatever, what have you.
Whatever the rug Rats will be doing in this movie.
It's it's terrible and it gets spotted every single time,
so much so that there is there are lists everywhere
online and videos about the top ten facused looking worst movie,
(12:52):
worst acting movie babies out there, And so I figured,
let's go down the list. Let's find some of the
worst CGI movie babies out there and see these will
remain the worst or will the rug Rats end up
on this list and supersede and you know, surpass every
other one here. Okay, let's start with there's one. There's
(13:14):
that nineteen ninety four Arnold Schwarzenegger movie called Junior where
Arnold his character a I think as a scientist. I
haven't seen it in years. Maybe I saw as as
a child. But in this movie, he impregnates himself with
the magic of science and he gives birth. But during
before that happens, he has a dream about giving birth,
(13:35):
and then he pulls out like he's holding a baby,
and then it shows the baby's head and it's literally
Arnold Schwarzenegger's head is super imposed onto this baby and
the forehead's huge, the eyes are bulging these he's screaming.
It looks horrendous and it does not age well at all.
So that's that's That is Rifley on the list of
(13:56):
worst CGI babies.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, I'm seeing the picture. That is a that is
the stuff of nightmares for fuel Lord. Let's see what
else we've got here on this list. There are a
number of interesting ones, but I think one that I
agree with. Let's see. Oh my god, yes, you you've
(14:22):
watched Twilight, James, right, it's your favorite movie series of
all times. You know what?
Speaker 1 (14:27):
You know what. I don't think i've watched Twilight. I
think I've just absorbed information and knowledge and scenes through
osmosis of pop culture. Yeah, I don't think I've actually
seen a whole movie, but I've seen memes and clips
and everything else in between. So I think I feel
like I've seen it, but without actually watching the movie.
So that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Right.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
So at the at the end of the series, right
the Twilight saga Breaking Dawn part two, Bella gives birth
to this vampire right hellish child, which is supposed to
be so cute and beautiful, but it was so badly
(15:07):
animated and the film would go back and forth between
this super fake baby with a weird face and weird
movements to just a straight up doll, and there was
no in between. It was obvious doll that's not even
moving and has a fake face, or you know, cgi
(15:28):
nightmare baby that has these creepy movements and and talks.
And so that was just very very I don't even
have words for for that. One.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Another one is I actually really enjoy this movie. But
and and in hindsight and watching it, I thought the
effects were great. And this may get some leeway just
because it is a weird movie based on aging and
reverse but Benjamin Button The Curious Case of Benjamin and
starring Brad Pitt. So there's the there's the old baby.
So the baby, you know, is born but is an
(16:05):
old man kind of a thing. So it looks like
this kind of do you remember the movie, Oh, it's
that the Harry Potter movie is with with what's the
name Baltimore. Like there's a scene where like Baltimore is
all crank lee and like old yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
that's what old baby Benjamin looks like. And so I think, however,
it works with this film because it is kind of
(16:27):
working with this weird old and aging into young and
this old baby going into a young So it's it's
a weird movie. I'm gonna give that one a slight pass,
but it does. It is kind of jarring if you
haven't seen the movie, or at least in a long time.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Magical Realism also my favorite Brad Pitt movie of all
time because he gets hotter and hotter and hotter as the.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Movie goes on, but then he eventually becomes a baby.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah that's weird.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Yeah, I think it's so weird.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
The meeting in the middle part is where you want
to be.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Right right exactly, Yeah, just like had him stuck at
that pristine age.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Right.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Let's see another baby movie. No, this one I haven't seen,
but again it gets talked about so much, so it's
infamous for for being how bad it is. But it
is the Son of the Mask, the semi quasi sequel
to Jim Carries the Mask, which is fantastic, but some
of the Mask starring Jamie Kennedy, there's this child, this
(17:27):
baby who was born with the powers of the Mask,
and so he kind of transforms like it's a cgi baby.
But then he turns even more cartoonist, just like you
know Jim Carrey in The Mask where they really play
with the cartoon animation of it all. And so this
baby does it, but every scene looks terrible. It's a
really really bad movie. So ALV from Son of the
(17:50):
Mask is is one that makes this list.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Okay, and now I've got one that's not on this list,
but it's definitely on my personal list. So do you
know about Pixar's Tin Toy? It was Pixar's one of
their very first animations. It was a short film that
they created in nineteen eighty eight when computer animation in
(18:16):
CGI was brand new, and the story follows a little
baby in a diaper playing with toys. This was the
precursor to Toy Story. However, talk about Nightmare Fuel. I think
this is worse than the Arnold Schwartzenegger baby. And I
need you to look it up really quickly so that
(18:37):
you look at this because just it's not only the
look of the baby, because back then, I mean CGI
was brand new, animating human beings extremely hard, especially they
with the antiquated programs back then. But it's the movement
of the baby.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Yeah, that is like baby's head and face so lumpy
like everything's like indented in his mouth and he moves
again again eighty eight, So amazing given the times. Yeah,
this would not pass at all.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
This is but when it crawls like it doesn't even
bend its elbows and it's like just like a demon
spawn moving across the screen. So definitely tintoy a marvel
for its time in nineteen eighty eight. But looking back
on it now, nightmares, nightmares, nightmares. Hey, but it brought
(19:34):
a toy.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Story, so absolutely it was worth it. That horrible baby,
horrendous baby worked out paid off. Speaking about another baby,
I guess we're all just talking about babies and kids
in this one. But the baby and this one again
I have to give leeway too and in a full
past too. But have you seen the movie one of
(19:55):
my favorite stupid movies of all time. I love this movie.
Uh it is the the martial arts parody Kung Pao
Enter the Fist, No. Two.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
This is not Kung Fu Panda, is.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Not cong is not Kung Fu Pana is Again I'm biased,
but I would watch the movie ten times more than
a Kung Fu Panda. But basically it's about you know,
it's a martial arts parody about this this chosen One
was was going to be executed by this this clan
of martial artists, these evil ones. But the special baby
is like is like the chosen One and like very
(20:32):
good at fighting. So even as a baby like start
to escape like fights like martial arts, other like this
other guy. And then eventually the iconic scene where the
baby is rolling down the hill for like an excessive
amount of times and it's like it and in that
scene that's adult. But there's another scene where like it's
cgi baby fighting and it's I love this movie. It's hilarious.
(20:53):
The scenes, Yeah, they don't look that great, but this
is a parody, so I'm gonna give it that that
wiggle room and it's still great. Yeah, that is a
baby that does not age well. If they redid it, maybe,
but again, just see young babies in general. It just
doesn't work. And most recently we saw that with the
(21:13):
Flash movie where you had like fifty babies being rescued
by the Flash in the opening sequence and they all
looked not good, very cartoonist but not in a good way.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
So that yeah, no, they can't, they can't.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
I don't have much faith in the rug Rats live
action movie. Yeah, I don't see why, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Why would they would even take on this endeavor? And
you know, hopefully that they don't add on to this
list of horrific CGI babies. But James, I just wanted
to give a nod to one last original CGI baby
that made a huge impact on the national psyche. Let's say,
(21:56):
back in the day, it was the Alley Feel that
Ali Manbill dancing Baby from nineteen ninety seven.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Dancing Baby, an improvement baby they do.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
They love it so much and it's just, you know,
obviously not at all natural or normal, but dancing and
people loved it.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
So, yeah, what's the story with that baby? Wasn't that
wasn't she like having like a favor of a thousand
degrees and she just saw that baby or something like.
I don't know the story of the baby.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
You know, I don't remember the story of the baby either.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
A real baby, so I think, like, no, yeah, she
was no, I guess she donated. On the fifth and
final season ally mcbeil, a girl named Maddie shows up
at Allie's doorstep claiming to be her daughter. Is because
Allie donated an egg for research while in college, and
the egg was fertilized. Where does the baby come in?
Why was she sing a baby? The baby showed up
as a symbol of Allie's fear about her biological clock,
(22:53):
as a metaphor that hasn't aged well, but was still
sort of charming at the time, as charming as that
show got anyway. Yeah, everybody's talking about that baby. I
was like, so young. I don't what year did this
come out, because I remember being so young ninety seven.
So yeah, just like, exactly weird. Exactly, humans are weird,
Babies are weird. Cgi babies are weirder.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
And but you know what, who is a beautiful baby?
Your baby absolutely gorgeous.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
She's like she's she's a year and a half right now,
but I still call her a baby. I refuse to
not call her a baby because.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
She's still a baby.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
She's still a baby. He's a baby. Yeah, well, your
kid's uh, nothing to sneeze at either. You pop out
some pretty uh pretty good looking babies yourself.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Exactly. That's right, that's right, That's why I'm the rizzler. Right.
My son was saying, you get no riz, Like we're
all Wrizzlers in here anyways, Moving on CG CG. Baby's bad,
real life Baby's good. And I hope that Hollywood gets
the message from the hollywoods.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
But you know what they should take a message from
or get a message from, is the positive reviews of
this new movie, The Wild Robot. I have yet to
see this, but it's been It's being called possibly the
best movie of the year, and I can't wait to
hear what you think about it, James.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Another masterpiece from dream Works, The Wild Robot out in
theaters right now, ninety eight percent on Rotten Tomatoes, very
high scores across the board, critical acclaim across the board.
My husband went to go see this movie with my
(24:42):
son and he declares. My husband declares that this movie
is better.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Than Wally Wow.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I saw it with my son. I'd say it's it's
pretty close. It's pretty close. I still think that Wally
kind of ekes it out, but I don't no. This
could be one of the best animated films to come
out of DreamWorks yet overall Barnum hands down, so.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Even better than Shrek two Vampire Strikes Back of the
Shrek franchise.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
God, yes, a lot, but yeah, m you mean that's
not your favorite Shrek movie.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Is the best?
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Yeah. I can't wait to see Wild Robot incorporated into
all the other DreamWorks properties. I don't know if you've
ever been to the Nickelodeon World. They're in the American
Dream Mall in New Jersey. They also have a DreamWorks
water park with all of the characters. I think this
would make for a great ride. There's water scenes you
(25:48):
can add to the water park that has nothing to
do with what we're talking about right now, though. However,
let me give you a synopsis of the Wild Robot
before we talk about how they're gonna be making theme
park ark rides of this. But Shipwrecked on a deserted island,
a robot named Ros must learn to adapt to its
new surroundings, building relationships with the native animals. Ras soon
(26:12):
develops parental bonds with an orphaned Gosling. I don't want
to get too much away. Hmmm, I mean I would
watch that too, But no, Ghostling.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
What's that you wouldn't mind getting stranded with? With Ryan Gosling.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
I'm not gonna say no. I mean that that sounds
that's amazing, That sounds fantastic.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Survival skills. But I'm sorry, go on.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Now I'm distracted. Now I'm like, that would be a
really great thing. Now you're trying to get me in
trouble with my husband. Anyways, So the Wild Robot is, uh,
it is amazing. I'm not gonna get to give too
much away. I thought the visuals were spectacular, the music,
(27:00):
the story, the pacing. I feel like there were some
people who have a little bit of an issue with
the animation style. I thought it was gorgeous. I didn't
have any criticism whatsoever about the animation style. There might
be a little bit of pacing issues towards the end,
(27:20):
I feel like things could have wrapped up a little
bit more climactically. But other than that, I feel like
this is close to a perfect movie and that everyone
should go see this with their kids, you know, with
their families or just by themselves. I think it's inspirational
and entertaining for all ages. In particular, parents are really
(27:45):
really going to enjoy this movie. It is going to
have you laughing, like I was bark laughing at some
of the things that the robot was experiencing in her
journey through this movie, and other parts are going to
have you, you know, sobbing, and it was just the
emotional beats were really well done. This is expert writing filmmaking,
(28:10):
and I'm really really happy to have seen it. I've
already seen it twice and I'm probably gonna see it
a couple more times with my son, who really also
enjoyed it too, and he's he's nine years old and
he absolutely loves it, loves it, loves it, wants to
go back again. So The Wild Robot in theaters now.
(28:31):
Ten out of ten, Shirtless Kylo Renz. I guess for
the purposes of this film, ten out of ten shirtless
Ryan Goslings, let's say, very very good movie.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Ten out of ten. That's uh, that's hard to compete with.
So there be matter not be another movie this year
that is better than that or else. You just put
yourself in a corner.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
I'm confident. I'm confident, James. I don't foresee anything else,
you know, blowing this out of the water. I need
you to go see it so that we can dissect
this and see if you feel that this is better
than Wally or some of the best animated movies that
have combo.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Okay, okay, yeah, I'm down and watch this movie because
it looks so good. The reviews are really good, glowing
and very shirtless ten out of ten times so well
speaking about a shirtless Adam Driver who many may consider
hot or attractive, maybe some of them who are in
this very podcast itself.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yeah, but yeah, is it you?
Speaker 1 (29:35):
We have a list. We have a list. I'm not
gonna say anything about it, and I'll almost anything bad
that He's just not like aup of Tea in that regard.
He's a great actor. Again, anyway, we do have another
hole to dive into, and that is the list, this
list of hottest movie casts for twenty twenty four. But Jamie,
(29:59):
the thing about this list of hottest movie casts, this
list was not made with human eyes, if that makes sense,
because this was made with AI artificial intelligence. This is
insane and so we had to talk about this. But
according to an AI beauty calculator, they've ranked the movies
with the hottest cast members this year. And let's see
(30:22):
if we will agree with them. But we won't linger
too much because you know, they're like fifteen of these,
but maybe near the top we'll.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Get more into the weeds.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Yeah, So with the cast coming in at number fifteen.
For the hottest cast members Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice, we have Jenna Ortego,
Wenona Ryder, Michael Keaton, and Monica Balucci helping them come
out with a six point fifty four rating out of ten.
Next next Poor Thing, starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe,
(30:53):
Margaret Qually, Quayley, Willem Dafoe. You know, add five points anywhere. Yeah, yeah,
movie he's in, He's a.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
One and.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
He was also beat just beata just yeah, look at that.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
So yeah, if you, if you put Will in to
phone your movie, you will make it on this AI
generated Hottest Movie list. Okay, all right, all right. Number
thirteen The Substance starring Demi Moore, Margaret Another, Margaret Quality, Quayley,
Dennis Quaid, and Hugo Diego with a seven point zero
eight rating, coming in number twelve. It ends with us
(31:32):
Blake Lively, Justin Baldini, Brandon Scanner, Skyner something like and
Jenny Slate's Yeah. Number eleven, Transformers one. I don't think
this count me. I guess it counts because they're part
of the cast. You don't see their you don't see
their faces.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
But no. Also, it's an AI generated list, so maybe
it's attracted to the Transformers. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Yeah, this AI is is a bias towards Transformers. I
think this is the should be knocked out. But it
stars Chris Hamsworth, Brian Tyree, Scarlett Johansson, and Keegan Michael Key.
Coming in ten Joker Fully Adieu, starring Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga,
Zazie Beats, and Catherine Keener. I'm not sure about that one.
(32:18):
Mandy Go gets attractive, but I'm not sure Jaquin Phoenix
would be like, he's not a bad not as.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
The Joker, like the way that they got in character.
Not attractive.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
So no. Number nine Speak No Evil starring James McAvoy,
Mackenzie Davis, Scott McNairy and Alex west Leffer, coming in
with a seven point eighty three rating. Next number eight
Godzilla versus Kongzi Kong alone No but the stars Rebecca
(32:51):
Hall also Brian Tyree, Dan Stevens and Falla Chen.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
Yeah, but I mean that Zilla's hot, right.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Godzilla is hot, he's cold blooded, so blood. I don't
know what that means. Number seven Deadpool and Wolverine. There
we go finally, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma coryn Matthew mcfatt, mcfaden. Okay,
now now these this lesson is making more sense. That
definitely more sense. Yeah, yeah, maybe for well, yeah, were
(33:28):
Hugh and Ryan?
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Oh yeah, yeah, that should be like number one. But
I mean, did you see Hugh Jackman's apps, Like, just
Hugh Jackman's ad should be at the top of this
Love the Internet.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
Yeah, just his abs alone should be number one. Number
six Twisters starring Glenn Powell, Daisy Edgar Jones, Anthony Ramos,
and Brandon Perea very hot. I believe Brandon Perea is
the new Superman. So there you go. Number five coming
in a number five for the hottest cast members of
(34:03):
twenty twenty four Challengers starring a Zendaiya, Mike Faced and
Josh O'Connor.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Yeah, okay, all right, and anything zendaya's in. But I
think I think Twisters should be higher on this list.
But let's see what.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Else should be higher. Yeah, I think there's more sweating
and Challengers, right, I think that's what you said.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Yeah, it's all sweat. It's just all like slow mo
shots of like sweat. It was weird. Yeah, I think
twisters very Yeah, it should be higher. What's next? Well?
Speaker 1 (34:33):
This one? What this one? I'm not sure if anybody
would disagree with this one, but anyone but you for
number four, starring Sidney Sweeney, Glenn Powell again we go
Jerman mulroney and Charles Frasier.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Yeah. Yeah, that was a very you know, attractive cast.
Not such a watchable movie. Not such a watchable movie.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
It's an interesting movie. My wife and I watched it
recently and we're going back and forth, like it was fun,
had good laughs, but like it started out strong but
then kind of like kind of started just losing strength
like a hurricane as a little the longer it wents,
still still enjoyable, but you know, they threw in as
many shirtless and underwear scenes as possible to you know,
(35:13):
to get people to watch Sidney Sweeney, Glenn Powell. All right.
Number three? Ironically, number three is ugliest the movie Ugliest,
starring Joey King, Keith Powers, Chase Stokes, and Laverne Cox.
What is ugly is about? I feel like it's look
this up because if the cast is beautiful, then I
(35:34):
would it's.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
A futuristic world where when you become of age, it's
like it's aesopian novel.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
I did hear about this, and the thing is everybody
so again, So the premise of this movie, yeah, as
I'm sure you're about to describe, is that a world
where people are not that good looking. They get they
get picked, and then they get beautified and pretty, which
is pretty much like put make up on and like
botox whatever, and then they get to live in this
beautiful world. But all these main actors, they're already very attractive,
(36:07):
like all they all that happens is they just put
him in better lighting and they say, oh you went
through this amazing transformation. Now you're beautiful. It's like, okay,
you just changed the light. It was interesting. Yeah, okay, okay.
Number two nice curiosa a mad Max saga starring Chris Hemsworth,
Anya Taylor Joy, Aligue Brown, and Tom Burke.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Okay, y y yeah, sure, yeah yeah. But what is
number one? What is number one on this number one?
Speaker 1 (36:42):
This one? I think I agree, I think I agree
with the AI on this one. So coming in and
number one is with a nine point zero nine overall
score is Dune Part two starring Zendaya, Timothy Shallow, May,
Florence Pew and our Austin Butler.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Oh yeah, oh my gosh, okay, fine, so AI can
recognize some, you know, forms of attractiveness. I don't know
that I would agree with all of the rankings on
this list, in particular the order of of how this
list is, but I can absolutely give done everything that
it deserves, including being at the top of the most
(37:25):
attractive list for sure. Anything zenda is in really, I
mean Zendia already several points.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
I like how we see like actors in multiple movies.
So yeah, so we see Chris Ham's Worth and Transformers furiosa,
we see Zendia in at least two movies.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
And traditionally who you would think fabulous man?
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Uh slay indeed, But you said you have a movie
that you would put above the rest or movie cast. Yeah,
that you that you would recommend to be on this list.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Definitely. So I know this is a twenty twenty four list,
but I have my most attractive movie of all time.
I wonder if you can guess it. But I don't
think that there is any cast anywhere where every single
character was so extraordinarily attractive as nineteen ninety nine's The Mummy.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Oh my yes, I have The Mummy on my list.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Ye, yes, right, my single. I mean, who can argue
with that? No one can argue with that?
Speaker 1 (38:40):
Who could argue with that?
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Brenmand Fraser, Rachel Weiss The cast list goes on and on,
every single human being.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Odad Furr, who played Rdith Bay. Yeah, this is a
great cast, and yeah this is peak Brennan Fraser, Rachel
Weiss Era. So yeah, the hottest cast, the hottest cast.
I'm looking at you over there off screen, the hottest cast.
The Mummy nineteen ninety nine. One of the best movies ever.
It's a mix of Indiana, Jones and and looks like
(39:16):
a good like horror movie. It's a good mix of
like everything.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Of everything.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
It's such a good.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
Movie, extremely entertaining. It's eye can be, it's fun. This
is the way that moves up should be made. It does.
It absolutely holds up even though this was nineteen ninety
nine CGI. It holds up because it's what is it.
It's character first. You follow the characters, you care about
the story. And it wasn't overdone. It was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
(39:41):
The Mummy nineteen ninety nine. I dare you, I dare
you to find a hotter cast in a movie you know,
ensemble anywhere else? Fight fight me out.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I was listening those watching. Let us know right down
in the comments, who is your top hot movie cast? Pick?
Because I think AI, I think our eyes are better
than AI. That's right at choosing this, So let us
know common down below. I'll be sure to follow us

Speaker 1 (40:29):
You know what else is amazing?
Speaker 2 (40:30):
What else? What else?
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Don't forget? Movie trivia specifically is what is amazing. And
we are going to be playing be on a nine
game win street.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Do you believe I can't believe it? No, Okay.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
We have an eighty two eighty point twenty three percent
win rates with an average of two point eight eighty
eight guesses per game. Yeah, that's pretty good out of
five guesses. Not bad, No, you're bad. No, but today
I didn't just jink.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Well, today's a Sunday STUMPA.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
It is the Sunday STUMPA. Dang it, I did just jinxus.
I shouldn't have How could you should stop me? Damn it? Okay, Well,
if you want to help us, those listening, those watching,
if you are able to, we are playing game six
sixty one. Yeah again, if you don't know, send a quote.
Every day a new movie is selected, a mystery movie,
(41:23):
and you have to guess what it is based off
the quotes that they give you. There are up to
five quotes, and of course the fewer guesses the better.
That's how it works. But let's see if we can
if lightning can strike ten times in a row.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
All right, all right? Or are we done for.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
So today's are we done?
Speaker 2 (41:40):
So?
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Okay? And we got a warning quotes could be considered
by some to be non suitable for work. So again,
if you are in church right now listening to this,
lower the volume, don't pause, just lower it a little
bit more and then play along with us. I don't
like how they've added flames to Sunday stumper. Now I'm scared.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
Right here we go.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
We can do this, okay, Guest number one in three
two one, good first day.
Speaker 5 (42:05):
Guys, keeps up like this will all be dead by monday.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Funk you.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
This sounds very familiar, does it? Good first day guys? Yeah,
keeping this will be dead by monday?
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Could it be like a war movie?
Speaker 1 (42:20):
Or ah? Good first day guys, Yeah, keep us up
and will be dead by monday. I'm playing one more time.
Speaker 4 (42:34):
Good first day guys, keeps.
Speaker 5 (42:36):
Up like this will all be dead by monday.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
I fuck you till oh that sounds so familiar.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
All right, let's go to the next quote. Let's see.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Okay, next quote, let's see if this gets easier. In
three to one, eighteen hundred and seventy one, that's when
she went up.
Speaker 3 (42:53):
Gentlemen, we called her the Kirkbride Building, named after Dr
Thomas Kirkbride.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
Well, that's a pretty simple layout.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
You know, if you consider a giant flying fact, you know,
the main staff buildings in the middle, the bad body
and slanting off to each side of these like giant
crooked fat wings, you know, one for female patients, the
other from male.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
You know, a bat Okay, I don't know this one.
I don't know. We're not allowed to cheat, no, Jamie,
we can't, all right, No, I mean the voice sounds
kind of familiar, though, I'm just can't put a finger
(43:37):
on it yet.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
So next quote, Okay, next quote. Let's say in three
to one, when was.
Speaker 5 (43:46):
The hospital actually closed?
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Eighty five?
Speaker 5 (43:49):
Eighty five? Yeah, because you know, I'm curious, because you know,
they got you and you got the firearm on, and
it's not like people are trying to get out.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
Right, No, no, not out in.
Speaker 6 (44:01):
The kids, delinquents, homeless.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 6 (44:06):
A lot of patients ended up in the streets when
this place closed down, and some of them they come back.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
I found half a dozen squatting up their last spring.
Speaker 5 (44:16):
Patients come back, and they come back.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
I mean, god knows, why where do you see the place? Jesus,
I'd rather sleep in the street personally.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
But then, you know, I'm not nuts. What could what
could this be?
Speaker 1 (44:30):
I don't know. Maybe it's like what's the nuts? The one?
It's it's not the movie I'm thinking of, but I'm
trying to think of like something with like an a
an insane asylum. So the one with one one flew
over the Cuckoo's nest. But I don't think it's that.
Maybe Shutter Island, but that's not it's not Shutter Island
for sure, because they're on the island people want to
(44:51):
be going in. It doesn't soun familiar asylum. Asylum, I
don't know. Son's tough.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
And it sounds like it's an older movie too, maybe
like in the eighties. Oh, you jinxed it all right.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Next I did dink.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
So next quote, next quote, there's got to be something
that gives it away.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
One quotes too, Yeah, all right, three to two one.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
Nearly all these places got closed down in the eighties
and all the budget cuts. Defense called it the institutionalization.
Speaker 6 (45:28):
So they just dumped the people on the street.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Some went to like home care type programs. So the
loonies are outside in the real world and here we
are with the keys to the looney bin.
Speaker 6 (45:39):
Boys.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Well, it wasn't just the budget cuts, you know, Oh
was it? Then?
Speaker 1 (45:45):
Mike Patricia Willard's kind on nineteen eighty four.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
Patricia Willard.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
I don't recall that.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Patricia Willard.
Speaker 6 (45:55):
She was committed here in the nineteen seventies by her
parents manic depression. That's the thing typical adolescent crap. But
in the nineteen eighties, this new kind of therapy took
off for pressed memory therapy. See, these shrinks figured that
with these new techniques they designed, they could release hidden
memories of traumatic events in your life.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
I'm just gonna guess won't flow over the coocas nest.
It's not but okay, submit, that's not okay because that's
just like in my brain and like I just want
to go away, but I don't have anything else. So
our final guest, Jeames, Okay, Final guests, Okay, go for it, alright,
(46:43):
three two one, Mary.
Speaker 5 (46:45):
I want you to try to remember what happened twenty
two years ago Christmas night.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
Lowell.
Speaker 5 (46:55):
Yeah, and you tell me what happened that night, and
Lowell happened, Mary, something did happen. That's why we have
these sessions to help you remember so you can get better.
Speaker 3 (47:09):
Remember patient.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
I'm thinking black Christmas, Black Christmas, unless you have another.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
I have no other guests, no other guests. Let's give
it a try.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
Okay, Black Christmas nineteen seventy four, submitting no session. What
even is.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Never never heard of, no me neither. Anyways, we've been defeated.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
So check this out. Check this out. So it also
shows the top incorrect guesses for this game, and the
top three were one flow over the Cuckoo's Nest and
the third the third guess is black Christmas.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
Wow, every every one of your guesses was a top right.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Well, yes, top incorrect. Yes, that's crazy, that's funny. Now
I don't feel so bad because we're in good company.
If we're gonna lose as well, be in good company
of other good.
