Speaker 1 (00:04):
This is the Hub on Hollywood and iHeartRadio podcast Sam
Her co host James Drohas.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I'm the other co host, Jamie Blanco.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
On this week's episode, the Oscar goes to YouTube literally,
it will be host to YouTube. Literally. We'll we'll talk
about that and what it could mean for the awards season.
New York Times Best Movies of the Year. The list
is out. We're getting into it, including some films made
locally as well movies we've seen in the movie theater,

(00:31):
the actual physical theater experience. Yeah, go AMC stub Hub.
Kudos to you guys. You guys are the real MVP.
Also movies we're looking forward to in twenty twenty six,
A review of Wake Up dead Man, a Knives Out
story and Knives Out Saga That is Out Trilogy, Zach
and more that and much much more. But Jamie, this

(00:53):
is our final year, final episode of the year, your
final year ever. I sprung this up on you. But
speaking of the future.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Funny you mention that the final.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Episode of the year. But fortunately, and it was a
great transition because we're talking about astrology. Ooh astrology. Okay,
are you a big believer of astrology?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Oh? I don't know about believer, but like I know
a lot about.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
It, yeah and stuff. So sure you're like influence. Yeah, yeah, Well,
according to astrology, twenty twenty six is going to be
the year of major changes, growth and evolution.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Okay, like there hasn't been enough of that.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
There hasn't been enough yet. We need more apparently, but
we are sticking this to the movie theater industry, the
movie theater going experience, the film studio and all that jazz,
and so some major changes for movie theaters coming up
this year, people and experts are suggesting. Is one for
the movie theater more laser projection upgrades, so better projectors,

(01:59):
reaching to more movie expanding the Dolby Cinema experience, the
Dolby Sound luxury seating bars movie theaters maybe going in
this direction, pro exactly. Yeah, and the screen X projection,
that one that kind of goes around like the walls.
I haven't done that, I think, have you.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
That's a totally disorienting. Yeah, I've seen videos of it.
I haven't actually experienced it, but that one looks like
really trippy and disorienting. I feel like I've had nightmares
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, but I feel like the like. The format of
the ratio is also kind of distorted from the video.
I've seen online of people, you know who bring their
cell phones out during the movie theaters. But because of
them and their their sin, we were able to see
some like you know how it looks like in the theater.
And I'm not sure if I'm a big fan, but
forty X, Yes, you're a fan of forty X.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I'm a forty Listen. Listen. I haven't actually gone yet,
I'm gonna be honest, but I have wanted to. I've
been dying to go see like a movie in forty X.
And the closest theater I believe to us is like
Connecticut or something like that. I'm not going to Connecticut.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Not nobody. Nobody likes Connecticut.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
You are in Connecticut right now listening to or watching
us exactly. But that's what I would like to see
more of in twenty twenty six. In the following year, James,
I want to see forty X come to New England.
This far up in New England.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
That's the one where the seats shake, they rock, they
shake you far.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Right exactly like Indiana Jones.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I think somebody posts a video again another sin. They
posted a video of themselves watching Avatar the new one,
Avatar ash and Fire and that the seats are just
out of control, rocking as he was.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Trying to like drink a drink? Is that the one
is because like don't don't try to eat your.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Is what you said?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, So how many people do you think like puke?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Oh during these too many? Like one too many? One
is too many? Wouldn't want to work there and would
not want to work there. Growth. Speaking about growth experts
in the industry, the forecasts that they suggest twenty twenty
six could be one of the strongest theatrical years since
before the pandemic. Yeah, bringing in what could top ten

(04:15):
billion dollars at the domestic box office next year.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I love that and I feel like, besides domestically locally
here in New England, this year has been so robust.
We've had so many projects that are going to be
coming out in the next year year and a half.
So I absolutely see that trend and trending up in
the industry overall, and here in New England, like we

(04:38):
beat out La we Ba, we beat out like a
lot of other places in the country for filming. So
I'm just really excited to see that trend continue. And
I want to see all of the projects that come
out next year because I might be in a few
of them.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Oh right, our lips are sealed. Our lips are sealed.
But what we're not ceiling is the latest. It is evolution.
So the evolution of twenty twenty six movie theaters, movie
theaters and film studios, they will need to evolve and
treat movie going like a night out, not just content creation,
but make movie theaters an experience again and not routine.

(05:17):
So whether it's like a Barbenheimer campaign which needs to grow,
you know, organically, or yeah, just making a movie where
you know you have to see it in theaters to
experience it and appreciate it. Yeah, a couple of movies
that are the best movies of the year, Centers and
One Battle after another. Those are movies that I think
you have to watch in the movie theater because watching

(05:39):
on the big screen, these amazing sequences, you can't get
it anywhere else on your on your phone, on your couch.
You know, you still appreciate the story, but the getting
absorbed into the world that they created.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
And also streaming is not going anywhere, right That battle
between theater and streaming and home experience versus the community experience,
which we we've got the Pope on our side, just
to be you know, honestly, so I think it's gonna
be okay.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, we're glad on this topic on.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Our side, right, yes, But that's something that the theaters
really have to continue to step up their game. They
have to evolve. They have to create the sorts of
environments and things that will draw people back into the
theater or else it's gonna go, it's gonna die, it's
gonna fout. Netflix CEO is out there trying to take scalps, right,

(06:33):
trying and take Warner Brothers and take Warner Brothers exactly. Yeah,
and and minimizing that that communal theater experience. And I
think theaters need to step it up, and honestly, movie
goers need to step it up also.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Oh so apparently there's been some some articles about this
generation Z is there going out to the movie theater?
Oh okay, great, Yeah, so there is. Yeah, so there
is a younger dance numbers increasing and boosting up attending
attendance numbers in theaters. So hopefully that continues into next year.

(07:08):
So Gen Z, we're counting on you because Lord knows,
expectations are low. I'm kidding.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yeah, we're just we're stuck at home. The millennials are
stuck at home with their kids, so exactly we need you,
gen Z.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, I didn't go out to those many movie theaters,
movies at the theater that I wanted to. But we
will try to boost those numbers up next year. But
speaking of boosting numbers, the Academy, the Oscars, they've been
for a long time seeing their viewership numbers tank and
go down, lower and lower and lower. Connor O'Brien hosted
last year, so hoping he'll return once again and boost

(07:42):
those numbers up again. But the folks at the Academy,
they say that they are They have agreed to a
multi year deal with YouTube once their current global rights
expire with ABC. Through twenty twenty eight, the Oscars will
begin streaming and twenty twenty nine on YouTube for the

(08:03):
one hundred and first Oscar ceremony through twenty thirty three. Okay,
do you think this is good? Well?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Or bad?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Or bad? Well? I H James, I don't know how
to feel about it. Quite honestly, it's it's YouTube. I
think it's a ploy. It's it's a ploy to get
people to subscribe to YouTube TV, which I've been holding
out on, and I just I don't want to. I
don't want to. I don't want to subscribe to YouTube.

(08:35):
I don't want to pay for YouTube, you know what
I mean. But I get that it's like a platform
that's more accessible instead of like trying to pull up
a network on your on your smart TV and trying
to get it to work, and oh my god, is
it on my cable plan? Or am I subscribed to it?
But as far as like you know, so maybe YouTube
is more accessible, maybe they could do more fun things

(08:57):
with it. I question whether the quality of the broadcast
is going to be the same.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Or it's Google money. It's Google YouTube. Google owns YouTube,
and so that's that, you know, they have a lot
of money to devote to it. I'm curious how the
commercials will go, because it'll be like a live stream,
of course, and so will they have like built in
commercials on the stream or will we be interrupted with
like pop ups that pop up. I don't know. I
have YouTube subscription or YouTube plus whatever I do pay

(09:24):
for that, so I don't want to. I know, I
don't want to. I subscribe to it with that, you
know you're thinking eventually I'll like unsubscribe to YouTube plus
or whatever it is. And but it's so nice to
not have commercials or ads. It's so nice and plus,
like when you're playing music, like it just plays the
music and you play it's like YouTube music you had
that also, you really could.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Just not do that. I mean, how like the birth
of the two earlier to that that didn't exist.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Agree, it's the theory, but they they're a company. They
need to make money. They need they're they're shareholders need
more money, and so like I so that you know,
they have to make money. So unfortunately, you know what.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
The evolution I would like to see. I would like
to see us evolve our economy to a point where
we don't need money, where we all just get what
we need, get what we want, and we all live
together in harmony, kumbaya, and yeah, we don't need money anymore.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I'm not probably going to get that.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
To get that part, but if I could just like
not pay for YouTube, we'll see. I just hope I
don't have to pay for it in order to see
the Oscars one thing I am looking forward to as
far as awards seasons goes. However, the SAG Awards this
year now called the Actors Awards.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Right, that's March first, and we're gonna have a big
local party for that, the local SAG AFTRA.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Actors Award Viewing Party March first. So if you're a
SAG person out there, act unite, you know, just make
sure to sign up. Well, that's like the fancy night
where we all get to dress up, walk the local
red carpet and if you've had like your moment on
the big screen in a movie that was filmed here
in New England like that, that gets to be like

(11:14):
the moment that you get to shine and show off
and have your own red carpet moment. It's nice. It's nice.
So are you gonna dress up your SAG Awards? Oh?

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Yeah? Do you have an outfit ready?

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Oh? I'm I have a couple that I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
To decide for Taylor Swift over here, gonna be changing
outfits during the night. No, No, I'm just saying I'm picking.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Okay, should I go floor length or should I go
like Minnie?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
I don't know, Mini Mouse. You should not go like
Mini Mouse, Disney will sue you.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I'm sorry anyways, Okay, Yeah, to see all of you, folks,
And if you're nominated, or if any project you've worked
on has been nominated, reach out to us.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
We love to talk to you, potentially get you on
the episode, or at the very least give you a
shout out.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Exactly here on Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
We know people, so you know, you know, our vote matters,
our vote counts. We're we're both part of the union,
so we do take bribes. Speaking about bribery, we don't
take No, No, we don't take bribes for legal purposes. No,
we don't. You know who doesn't take bribes? The New
York Times, I'm sure they don't.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Sure they don't.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I'm sure they don't. But they are out with their
best movies of twenty twenty five. Yeah, and I know
I listened it one through ten. But let's start reverse.
I suppose I think people like ten through one. It's
easier to make.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Yeah, you got to like go back.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, because after you you read the first best movie
of the year, people are done listening. Yeah, they need to.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
You need to build up right Exactly, these are the
secrets to retain listeners.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Yes, all right, starting with number ten. Starting with number ten,
The Mastermind.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Oh I didn't see this one. I did not see
this one either, The Mastermind, followed by who's Kelly?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I think that's these are all the directors? Okay, great, Yeah,
so number ten The Mastermind, Number nine Caught by the
Tides to jump in if you've seen any of these movies.
Number eight The Secret Agents, Secret Agent Man. Yeah, the
sequel to the beloved Austin Powers trilogy. Number seven, Sorry Baby.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Sorry Baby, which filmed here in New England. Also principal background,
other casting all done by Boston Casting, our biggest local
casting agency. Shout out to them. So this was a
really exciting one. I don't have the plot pulled up
on that, but I believe it was about a woman

(13:37):
who has someone very close to her who passes away
and then she has to deal with her grief while
everyone else sort of returns to real life. This one
receiving a lot of critical acclaim and again just very
proud of our of our local talent that was a
part of this project, including local principal talent, which we

(14:00):
love to see and we want to get more of.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Actually, this is the sequel to Boss Baby. Boss Baby,
It is not the sequel to Okay, sorry I misread that.
Let's see I hopefully I don't misread this. Number six,
My Undesirable Friends Part one, Last Air in Moscow.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
That is a very long title.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Too long. Number five This b l k n w
S terms and conditions.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Sure you didn't just like miss.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Stroke while I was while I was copying this down.
Have we seen any of these? No? No, not until
we get to the top three exactly. Number four it
was just an accidents.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Also did not see.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
But you know what was not just an accident. Timothy
Shallow may picking to star in this Marty Supreme, which
is also being considered, as you can tell right here
by this list, one of the best movies of the year.
Five eking In, eking In at the very last Yeah,
week or two, I'm gonna I'm I watched this Monday. Okay,
So come back next week, come back next year, see

(15:05):
you next year when I talk about Martya Supreme. But
one thing. Two things I've been talking about, and I've
been you know, you know, chewing everybody's ears off with
this thing. Number two one battle after Another by directed
by Paul Thomas Anderson and written by him as well.
And number one, drum roll please, Ryan Coogler's Sinners.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Oh yeah, yeah, we've been singing the praises of that
one most recently.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Most recently, I would say Sinners was number one, and
then One Battle after another close, close too. But the
longer I think about it, then the more. And I
rewatched Centers recently too, and One Battle after Another just
came on HBO Max. I think it's switched like like
this like that, like its switched. And so one Battle
after Another is my favorite of twenty twenty five, followed

(15:52):
by Sinners.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Awesome.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
So you've seen none of these movies.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
I've seen Sinners.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
What would what is not on this list that you
would add?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
I would add the movies that were made in New
England onto this list. Isn't that beautiful? It's a beautiful transition.
And in addition to Sorry Baby, some just some just
some things that wanted to mention Happy Gilmore too came
out these years. I'm not saying that these are critically acclaimed, Okay,

(16:25):
I just want to give a shout out to the
projects I'm going If you're watching us on YouTube, you
saw his face.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Anything.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
But what I I I always love to mention about
Happy gilmore about Adam Sandler whenever he's in town, uh,
is that he tries to get as many local people
hired as possible. I mean there are hundreds, if not thousands,
of you know, background folks that make it on screen,
not even to mention you know, the thousands of crew

(16:57):
people that work behind the scenes to get these things made.
Aftermath was another film that made here. Came out this
year Ella McKay's and theaters right now not doing so well.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
But that is not well at all.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I still really want to see it.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
That made like two million dollars, I.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Think, yeah, yeah, but you know what else it made
jobs we Go. A few other things that were made
here this year, the parenting Newport Christmas is always a
Christmas special or a Christmas movie or like a rom
com that was made. But one of the more critically

(17:36):
acclaimed ones Ethus. Yeah, Ethus, an indie movie that was
made here, made the rounds and all of the biggest
film festivals. Critical acclaim that has made across the board.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
That has made different publications top ten lists, yeah the year,
like top movie of the year. So New York times
are Sleeping on Athos.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
You're Sleeping on Ethos, which has been called one of
the best baseball movies to be made, ranking up there
with like The sand Lot and uh, what's the other
one there you Go?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Yeah, those are the only bill dates they ever made.
And the one with the boy who can throw a
ball fast, I'm gonna say it right now, is the
best baseball movie.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
There we Go, ever ever made. And we had one
of the one of the main cast, Russ Gannon, on
the show. All local talent love to see it ephis
just wanted to give a shout out to them made
this year. A lot of great television came out this year.

(18:39):
Blue Bloods. We had Mark Wahlbert Donnie Donnie Donnie running
around the Boston Common chasing after people.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Before filming, coming out that.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
He's just chasing people down. Walking Dead. Season two came
out earlier and they've been filming season three here all
year long. So that's amazing. Deli Boys not necessarily shot here,
but starring Shaja hon Khan who we had on the show.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
On the program, I love that showy prood first season
two yes, yeah, yeah, so I get Telly.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Boys and hoping to see more of sha Jahn.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
We'll have it back on.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
So those are just a few of the things I
wanted to give shout outs to at recovering from COVID,
recovering from the dual strikes, like, things have been starting
to ramp up, so it's nice to see them coming out.
And this year, James, this year we filmed so many things.
We filmed so many things. There were so much work.

(19:43):
So twenty twenty six, like we mentioned before, we're going
to see so many more projects coming out, lots of
people getting their big breaks. It's just it's amazing to
see and hoping for more, more and more of that.
In twenty twenty six. We already know a few more
projects are are coming back. Widow's Bay is going to
be back Walking Dead potentially, uh coming back, and a

(20:05):
few other projects getting underway in the spring. So uh,
stick with the Hub on Hollywood because we will continue
to let you know when those projects are here, who
the big stars are and how you can get cast.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, Texas is seeing a big boom in movie. Really,
Texas making film filmmaking right now. I have a buddy,
my best friend, actually he works and he moved to
Texas because jobs over there are booming, they're growing, and
they're exploding. So watch out, Texas. Watch your back because
I don't know if' ahead of you or behind you,
but either way, watch it.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
I don't think we need to be a we should
be threatening Texas because they'll come for you.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Bro, they say, don't mess with Texas. I say, bring it.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
You were trying to this is when you, like, when
you were trying.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
To get the swift fight Fight Fight, Fight, Fight.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
And James Rojas's address is bring it.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
I live in Giddy. All right, Well let's see. Let's
talk about the movies we have seen in the movie theater.
And the only way I remember most of these that
I've seen is because I'm an AMC stub Hub member
and they keep a list of the movie. Yeah, the
tickets you've purchased, and so some of these this go
back from like, yeah, you know what's funny? Okay, So

(21:20):
you may or not No, you may have beside sinners,
but you may or may not know. I'm a fan
of Paddington you know what. Again, I don't tell everyone
hardly men never, but I'm a I'm a fan of
that little bear. Every episode exactly my daughter and I.
My daughter and I just watched the first Paddington. So
we read the books and we we like, we have

(21:41):
all these different so many books. And she recently got
into like the book with like no pictures in it,
like it's like the novel with all the stories, and
she's like she's the super Trooper and so, but she's
into Paddington. And I was like, you know, what is
Christmas time? We're all home, but let's let's put let's
put on padding tame. So we put it on and
she has the best like gut busting laugh in the

(22:03):
world watching Paddington getting to his antics, falling down things,
you know, flooding a bathroom with you know, the water
and the tub going down. It's a her gut busting
laugh is like music to my ears, yea. And the
very fact that it's happening during Paddington, it's even it's
the cherry on. So anyway, that transitions to what I
watched this year beginning of the year, Paddington in Peru,

(22:27):
the third Paddington in the Paddington trilogy, Paddington Verse. I
liked it. I enjoyed it again. Paddington too, I said
it once. I say it a million times is the
Empire strikes back at the Paddington Universe. But Paddington Peru
is a good movie. It does suffer that they didn't
bring back Sally Hawkins, the one who plays Missus brown

(22:47):
Is because of medical reasons. She could be there. That's
like my biggest you know, unfortunate gripe with a movie,
you know, who replaced her blanket on her name. But
you know, you know, isn't bad. It just wasn't Sally Hawkins.
That's the one thing I missed. But Pattinson Peru, it's
a fine movie. But go watch Pattinson one in two.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
All right. Yeah, And we've talked a lot about Sinners,
one of the greatest films of the year, if not
the greatest film of the year. Just just the the
the Irish jig dancing.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Of the the.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, the vampire out there like I'm gonna get you,
but I'm gonna have a party.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
First, exactly what he says, get this first.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Yeah, spectacular, spectacular. I can't wait to watch it again.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
You saw Ballerina, Ballerina, the John Wicks spin off. Sorry,
that was good, you know, I liked it. It was
basically it was as simple of a story as the
first John Wick was and that and for that kind
of movie, that's all you need. Don't over complicate the plot,
don't over complicate characters. You're just look good. You're going

(23:58):
in there for the action and the revenge story. That's
all you need, so exactly, and an Armistead did a
good job. It didn't do great numbers at the box office,
but I thought it was I thought it was worth
a watch.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yeah, and I really enjoyed watching like the behind the
scenes and all of the work that went into her
action sequences and whatnot. On our Yes on Hollywood we
do on the Hub on Hollywood, which you can check
us out on the YouTube, Facebook, Instagram. Why not threads
Blue Sky everywhere, wherever, wherever you are, that's where the

at none OF's video and so.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Follow, subscribe like et cetera. And also Anna come back

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Let's see how to Train Your Dragon. Yeah, adaptation. I
think at the time I reviewed it, I had just
seen it, and you know what, it was fun. I
loved the animated the original How to Train Your Dragon movies,
and I watched this and this is literally like a
beat for beats, make like of the scenes, the sequences. However,
you know, on reflection, it's not a bad movie, but
it is a remake, like.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
It is almost shot for shot.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, shot, Like yeah, when I say remake, I'm meant
shot for shot, and so it's basically that and so,
but it's but it's like it's missing ten, fifteen, maybe
twenty percent of its charm that you get from the
original one. Just watch the original one. Okay, let's watch
the original one.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
That's his recommendation. But my son absolutely loved the soundtrack
and it's the same, you know, sort of soundtrack from
from the original. You can enjoy it either way, you
know how. I'm a terrible parent.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Yes I'm when it comes to but it comes when
it comes to movie, when it comes to movie selections,
I do this in.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
The wrong order, right, It's like the remake and then
I maybe show them the original because I'm just traumatizing
them in that way.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
It sounds like you did not show them the original.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
We did, I think we we we did, we did,
But it was after watching the remake first. Yeah, so
I don't know how to stop myself from doing this.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
But what would James do?

Speaker 2 (26:08):
What would James do?

Speaker 1 (26:09):
The podcast right now? What would James say?

Speaker 2 (26:12):
See, it's kind of fun getting yelled at too, So yeah,
but you know what we were yelling, Oh is it
a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Superman, Superman.
It was super Superman. He was like the best most
super Superman that you could get. I really really really
loved the Superman that came out this year. Uh, David Corn,

(26:35):
Sweat and all of them. You just get the heart,
you get the soul of what that comic and what
that character really stood for in a really beautiful way.
So I was very happy about Superman. I would say
that was one of my favorite movies of the entire year.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yeah, it was high up there, just because you know,
he brought back hope. You feel, you feel energetic. And
this is one of the movies where in the middle
of it, I'm I step out, I step back in
my mind, and I'm like, I'm enjoying this movie. This
is a fun movie. So this is one of those
movies where you're watching it, you're so like engrossed in it,
and then you just take a moment for yourself, take

(27:12):
a little second, little breather, like I'm having fun right now.
People are having fun right now too. This is a
good movie experience. So that was great. One thing I
couldnot say that for is Jurassic World rebirth. M Yeah,
why why why are we doing this?

Speaker 2 (27:27):
We didn't, We don't need to. We need to stop.
We need they need to stop. Let the dinosaurs lie.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah, Dressic Park and all the makers over there need
to take a step back, unlike the folks override The
Fantastic Four, the Fantastic Four first Steps. I enjoyed it.
I thought it was really good. A Pedro Pascal, You
have Joseph Quinn, Evan Moss, you have the main woman,
Missus wasn't an invisible woman. I'm forgetting her name? Oh boy,

(27:57):
oh boy, so did I Hey this is this is
the quiz part of the show. You know, I don't
know her name, but I'm blanking. But fantastic movie. I
want to say, the best Marvel movie. But it's a
solid standalone film. Of course, they have a little teaser
at the end, you know, yeah, yeah, you gotta do
that for Marvel, but for like a self enclosed story.

(28:20):
I think it works.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Vy Storm and the Aesthetic. Oh yeah, that was my favorite.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Part show Futuristic. Yeah, the Jetsons.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
What we could have had, right, what could have been.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Been twenty twenty six. We're shooting for the Fantastic four
verse future the Naked Gun Sorry, Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson.
I enjoyed it. It was really fun. It was really you know,
slapstick stupid humor, not stupid dumb, but like stupid fun
kind of stupid. Smart. You had to be smart to
write a stupid joke, is what I mean.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Yeah. See, this is the one one of the movies
that I almost took my kid to, but I figured
it was not like kid friendly humor.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
It's not you know, it's there's a lot of there's
a lot of potty humor. But but you know, I
wouldn't say, it's what's the other movie? You that terrible
movie you took your child to? Scarred him recently recently.
I don't know there were a lot that scarred him. Yeah,
I don't know. This would not have scarred your children.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Yeah. I sent to Trained to Boost, so we watched
Trained to Boos song when he was six, so yeah,
but what about.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Nobody, Nobody too, Uh, Nobody the sequel that's the one.
I am blake on his name he is. He's in
the you know, Breaking Bad, He's in Better call Saul
that actor. It was good, obviously a sequel following the
first one, where like this guy he's a dad with
a family. He used to be an assassin or he

(29:48):
still is technically, and you know, he's like, you know
what I worked to much a egle on vacation and
then the small podunk town that he used to go
do as a child, Uh is being run by like
corrupt cops and and a drug gang and you mean
Bob Odenkirk and Bob Odenkirk there again, I swear, I
know movies and actress, but not always at the proper

(30:10):
appropriate time. But Nobody, it was good. I think this
one thing I wish nobody had done is if they
stuck with the John Wick routine of like simplify the plot.
You are a guy, you're an assassin who who has
been working too much, decides to take your family out

(30:30):
on vacation to like a watertown, water park kind of
place for the summer. But then you get caught up
with the local riff raff and then you have to
start killing people again. One problem with Nobody Too is that, yeah,
you run into kind of like corrupt cops doing like
a little drug thing, but then it turns into a
much big, deeper like drug syndicate like that that you're
you're throwing too much. You're throwing too much at the

(30:51):
wall right now, just keep a simple little pot on
town with corrupt cops and whatnot, and and then you
have to you know, kill people while your family, you know,
tries to survive. Like, oh, that's all you got to do.
But I feel like they over complicated the plot. Yeah,
that's the only big ripe. Bob Bone and Kirk, he's fun.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Kick some butt and also kicking butt. Weapons.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Weapons.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
These were great horror movies that came out this year.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Yeah, Yeah, Josh Brolin, Josh Brolin was fantastic in this film.
And basically, yeah, in case you don't know the premise,
this school teacher one day her class doesn't show up
because at two seventeen in the morning, every child just
runs out of their home at the same time and
into the woods, never to be seen again. And then

(31:35):
the whole town kind of turns on her and then
like this kind of mystery unravels, you find out who's
behind it and then what the what the main end
game is. So Weapons was good. It was solid kind
of horror body horror, and also a little slight humor,
you know, sprinkled in throughout. So that was a good one.

(31:56):
One thing where there was little to any humor in
was The Long Walk, the Stephen King adaptation of of
like basically the Hunger Games, but instead of like killing
people that you that have been you know, drafted into
this game, you have to outwalk everybody. Yeah, and if
you stop walking like slower than three miles per hour,
you get shot in the head. You die.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
That sucks.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Yeah, but it's a movie. But it's a very good movie.
He's very compelling. The actors are great. One of the
actors he was in the latest Alien movie and he
is fantastic in this film. And so Long Walk, if
you haven't seen it yet, don't walk run to your
couch because I'm sure it's streaming somewhere. One battle after another.
But more can I say? I absolutely love that film.

(32:40):
And the last film I watched in theaters was Predator
bad Lands, The latest Predator movie good. I liked it
all right. Yeah, so little son trying to trying to,
you know, prove proof to his dad he's not a
little torp of a predator and then goes to Jeff Planet. Yeah,
I'm a big boy predator. And it goes to death Planet.
Everything literally tries to kill you. Yeah, and he has to,

(33:03):
you know, kill the biggest, baddest thing there ve story.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
On the horror monster sort of theme. Continuing some really
great television this year too. We've been talking the last
few episodes about it Welcome to Dary.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
It's Welcome to Darry, another Stephen King of course adaptation
spin off from the It's It one and two movies,
like you know recently this movie I'm so movie, this show.
I'm so conflicted on Jamie.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I'd it now what happened?

Speaker 1 (33:34):
I did love it? So I love hear me out.
There are so many great parts of the show. There
are so many great things of the show, Sequences, acting
in this show, so many great stuff you can sink
your teeth into, like Pennywise. However, there are subplots, including
one major one with the military, that are just dumb,

(33:57):
that are just so dumb. It's smart. Now it's just
dumb as I was, as a Benoit would say, Ben
wi Blanc would say, again, there are so many high
highs in this when it comes to penny Wise, you
know Bill Scarsguard as that character, scary sequences, the CGI
all that's great, but like instances where it involves like

(34:19):
subplots regarding like like a father that that needs to
be his innocence proven, or this other subplot where the
military is trying to use penny Wise as a weapon,
but then it becomes this weird thing where they're trying
to fight the civil rights movement, Like it becomes so dumb,
It becomes so dumb and so so I really enjoy it.

(34:42):
And again I we talked about several episodes like midway
through really enjoying it, but the military subplot just kepd
of getting worse and worse and worse until the very
end of the show, which which I had a problem with.
So unfortunately, not a great story. But there are a
lot of great thing is about this world, including Bill

(35:02):
scars Guard, who I think deserves an Emmy nomination because
he is fantastic.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
As we love all the scars Guards, all the.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Scars Guards they're great.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
So maybe we can just run through a couple of
these very quickly. It's just a lot of good good
stuff to talk about.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Task Task starrying. Oh my goodness, I'm blanking, I swear,
it's just a lot of He played the Hulka played
the whole He played the Hulk. Yeah, yeah, you don't
even know his name right now. Oh my goodness. Okay,

(35:44):
to be fair, I've been up since three am. I've
been up since three am today working. So yeah. Mark
Ruffalo plays an FBI agent in this show called Task,
trying to find a missing kid and intertwined with this
big drug you know, gang warfare. Fantastic The Pit also fantastic,
the greatest, like most accurate emergency room doctor show ever,

(36:05):
according to medical experts who watched the show. Also Peacemaker
starring John Cena, season two. That was a great show.
I loved the ending for that one as well. The
rehearsal starring Nathan Fielder and HBO Max where he's literally
trying to save, like improve aviation safety and he does
it in the most Nathan Fielder kind of way. Watch

(36:25):
that show. And Alien Earth Sidney Chandler, she is fantastic
in this show Alien.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Come to Earth related to Predator.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
This world, no, this universe, though, there are connections to
Predator Badlands via the company that operates an alien, but
there's no direct connection at this moment, and at least
in this version of the universe. There are different iterations.
It's messy, it's sloppy. Yeah, won't get into it right now.
All right, what have you watched? What shows and stuff
have you seen?

Speaker 2 (36:59):
I've watched a lot of Piece over and over and
over again, and the new season is coming out March
tenth on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Thoughts on this oh no. We also have thoughts on
on Avatar Last Airbender.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Not the yeah, oh yeah, the live action one. I'm
not going to watch it. No, yeah, I was very
disappointed they have they don't.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
They have the Stranger Things problem? What is that where
the kids grow up into full grown adults nine years old?

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Aang was twelve and now he looks like he's twenty.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
He's like, I'm a.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
I'm just watch the cartoon.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Yeah, just watch the cartoon.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Just watch the.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Originally say that again, watch the watch the original.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
What did you say, watch the original animation? That's just
me beating James. But yes, you're you're right, you're right,
you're right. And when you're right, you're right. When you're right,
you're right right? You know what else is right?

Speaker 1 (37:52):
What right?

Speaker 2 (37:53):
These movies that we cannot wait to see.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Next year, So many great movies, so many great movies.
We were talking about Barbenheimer a little while ago in
this episode Christopher Nolan, He's coming back, baby this ti
Ime'm telling one of the oldest stories in history, The Odyssey.
So this is coming out on a shot on Imax,
a seventy millimeter film. Starry Matt Damon, Is Zendaya and Hathaway,

(38:17):
Tom Holland who else. Everybody in this movie. Everybody is
in this movie, just like in Oppenheimer. So Odyssey fantastic.
I wonder what movie is coming out the same weekend
as The Odissey Are they try another Barbenheimer and then.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
We can Yeah, then we can meld those names together.
Will it be Auto Wolf, Werewolf?

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Where Wolf? Yeah? Robert Eggers, director of Nosferatu, The Witch,
He's coming out with another horror movie, this one based
off The Werewolf the you know, yeah, the wolf Man.
This one is set to be released in December of
next year, Christmas Christmas Day of next year. I love
Robert Eggers. Nosa Too was one of my favorite movies

(39:01):
of twenty twenty four. Yeah, so anything that he is doing,
anything that he's at the helm at of I am there,
So Werewolf, all right? Am I continuing? Yeah? Avengers three Day,
Avengers Doom.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Day Never don't listen to me. I got a little
drunk hold on Dune, Dune Part three, Doomsday.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
It's Doomsday people Done'sday part Avengers, Yeah, Unite Assemble Dune
Part three and then Avengers Doomsday, both of those, both
Gray movies.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Spider Another Spider Man, Tom Hollands back, Tom.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Holland's Everywhere, this Boy, this Man, this many Yeah. But
you know who is a Supergirl? Supergirl?

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Yeah, So we're gonna have a Millie Alcock starring as
Kellow's jaded party girl cousin Karen Danvers.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
That's now looks very Guardians of the Galaxy.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Very Guardians of the Galaxy. James Gun is not directing yet, however,
he is behind, of course the creation and the style.
So looking forward to that. If you enjoy Superman, I'm
sure you are looking forward to super Girl. The Legend
of Ang The Last Airbender in animation. Oh it's animated.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Oh okay, yeah, yes, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Then this is the starring is India and Robert patt No, sorry,
this is really the next movie.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
The next movie is the Drama, which was filmed predominantly
here in Boston, starring Zendia, Robert Pattinson, a bunch of
other cool people.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Watched the trailer last episode.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Yeah, yeah, this one's from A twenty four. They are
a married couple or there are a couple who's on
the way to the altar something something and they are
both melting the frick down and it gets really weird.
Very much looking forward to that one because we always
love one. Zendia's in town. This is like her second

(40:58):
or third movie in a row.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
If Zendaya's in town, just just like like staying near
your your nearest tap bakery because she loves Tate Bakery.
She loves being seen, not being seen there. I'm sure
she hates being scene there, but.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
She likesing there.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
Yeah, so, oh my good do we just got docs her.
But the next time she comes here, people are gonna
be like staking out alone. What if I just bleep
out which bakery we just mentioned?

Speaker 3 (41:20):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Everybody already knows. Everybody knows she's always there every time.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
So we you do know, you do know our power
though our influence. We're basically influencers. Whatever we say, it's
gonna be flooded.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
How can we influence Pixar to stop making Toy Story movies?

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Can we? I'm kind of like, kind of like Avatar three.
I'm not planning to watch Avatar three just because I
think I feel like I'm over it. Mixed feelings, mixed
mixed reviews for Avatar three. Same thing with Toy Story
five and then.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Look at look at Us after that, Shrek five starting
Z starring.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
Zenda starring ZENDEYA five filmed here and Boston.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
No, no, it does have Zindia, right.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
But you know who are from Boston? The Boston Boys,
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. They are starring in The Rip.
They're back together. The duo Coolt starring in Joe Carnahan's
action thriller starring Steven Yen Or Yun and Kyle Chandler,
the father of Sidney Sidney Chandler, who is in Alien Earth.

(42:26):
Cool It all comes together, full circle. It's amazing, baby.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
And I just I love the plot of that one
because it's all based in Miami, and I'm like, this
is like the most Miami thing ever. This would absolutely
happen there.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
This was your life. This is like an autobiography.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. I left my life of crime to
come here and talk about movies.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Well, guess what, I'm an undercover cop and you're going down.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
That would be great. We need to get like some
AI up in here and we'll just we'll just make
a movie.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
Yeahliday, Yeah is great.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
We love it.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
But you know who we love. We love it when
stars break out and have a fantastic year. And so
he was a short list of some people who have
made big waves in the film industry with some big
Oscar or Emmy worthy performances, starting with Owen Cooper, star
of Adolescence, the movie Sorry, the show that shook the World. Like,

(43:22):
he's like sixteen years old right now, but I think
when he filmed the series, he was like fourteen or fifteen.
And basically he's like a child. He's a child who
murdered someone. And it's a whole thing of like a
cat and mouse game of the people trying to prove
that he did it. But he's very like he's like
a sociopath and very creepy.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Performance creeped me out because he looks exactly like my son.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Or it was your son during the filming of Adall
My god.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Yeah, it's very creepy. But you know, fantastic Chase Infinity, Yes,
is that a real name?

Speaker 1 (43:55):
It is, okay, as far as I know, which I
don't know much, but Chasing. She played the daughter of
Leonardo DiCaprio in one Battle after another. And I mentioned
this during my amazing review of this movie, is that
she is a rising star. Keep an eye out for
Chase Infinity. She was fantastic in this film. It is

(44:16):
hard to stand your ground on a set next to
Leonardo DiCaprio, but she does it. She does a fantastic
job when Sean Pen as well. She's mostly with Sean
Pen in this movie, and he plays like this deranged, chaotic,
militarized man break amazing performances all well, all around, but

(44:36):
she holds her own. Fantastic Chase Infinity, Ben Wang Ben Wang,
The Long Walk, and The New Karate Kid Karate Kid
Legacy with Jackie Chan and Ralph Machio. Yeah, Jimachio Ralph Macchio,
who has not aged in fifty years. Yeah, well again,

(44:59):
Ben Wang also in The Long Walk. Very fun guy.
Miles Catton Cayton who plays Sammy and Sinners. This guy,
this is his first movie role, twenty years old, first
movie role. He's actually a singer and so no surprise
on why they cast him. An amazing voice and he
sings during that mesmerizing hypnotic sequence that everybody's talking about

(45:23):
after watching Sinators. So Miles Cayton or Catton, sorry, fantastic,
can't wait to see. I really want him to appear
in more stuff.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Yeah. And David Korn Sweat Superman obviously sweetheart and an
incredible actor.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Korn sweet. No, Yeah, there's so sweet, shouldn't. He wants
to be a Jedi. He wants to be in a
Star Wars movie. He's day. He was asked if you
would if you had to pick between being being in
another Superman sequel movie or being a Jedi, what would
you do? And he just said straight out I'd be
a Jedi. Yeah, he says, like, I love Superman, I

(46:00):
love all that stuff, but I grew up wanting to
be a Jedi, growing up watching Star Wars and all
that stuff. So he said, I love Superman, but I
will be a Jedi over that in a heartbeat.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
A Superman after our own hearts.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Yeah, I love that and coming back full circle again
Sidney Chandler. She starred in an Alien Earth, the series
with Timothy Oliphant. Fantastic in that show a font Timothy Oliphant, wonderful, breakout,
breakout role, breakout character for her as well. I'll let
us know. But right before we do, sen a quote,
let us know who you think is the breakout star

(46:34):
of the year. Do you have any nominations, any honorees?

Speaker 2 (46:37):
Not off the top of my head, but so let
us know.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
Who your breakout stars are, what movies you are most
excited to watch, as well as what shows you are
planning to binge if you are gonna be binging around.
And also you would your top movie of the year be. Yeah,
let us know.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
And I just wanted to give a quick, quick little
view of Knives Out.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Absolutely, yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
It's gonna be quick. It's gonna be quick. But wake
up dead Man. As far as what we're watching, I
just got this movie in right and you know, right
right before the wire, right before the end of the year.
You know that I love Ryan Johnson. I don't know
if I've mentioned our Lord and Savior, Ryan Johnson. You
do have like and how much I love him and
how much he loves me because we did talk Star Wars.

(47:29):
We did talk Star Wars on this on the set
of the original Knives Out, which was filmed here. But
this is a wake Up dead Man, a Knives Out mystery,
third film in the series, which I hope will continue
to continue out on a Netflix. And this is very different.
It's very different from the previous two Knives Out, much darker,

(47:54):
much more like a noir, much more like a classical
traditional noir, which is the theme sort of of all
of these movies, the classic who Done It? But this
one is definitely more on the darker take of a
traditional noir. So basically, the baffling death inside a quiet
church draws Benoi Blanc into a tense investigation where faith

(48:16):
secrets and a suspicious blur. A suspicious blur is a
close community turns against itself. This was, like I said,
not as bright and poppy and exciting and funny as
the previous Knives Out movies. You definitely have to go

(48:39):
into it with patients, because I can see how it
feels long in the beginning, and it feels drawn out,
and you really have to give the story a chance
and sort of immerse yourself in it and be patient
with it. But I love that because it is a
perfect reflection of what the lives of these characters are

(49:01):
in this very isolated church, in this very small world,
in this very you know, small community. So it's a
beautiful representation of that, and it's lovely filmmaking and storytelling
in that way. But you have to come patient, you
have to wait because as the story ramps up, it

(49:23):
is delicious. It pays off, it pays off, and it
ramps up and it ramps up, and then you're at
suddenly at the edge of your seat and you're like,
but what, but how?

Speaker 1 (49:33):
But what?

Speaker 2 (49:34):
And like you genuinely it gives you these like genuine
twists that you don't know what the hell is going on?
Amazing cast I wanted to say, Glenn Close is in this, Yeah,
Glenn Close is in this.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
Sounds like.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
Yeah, Mila Kunis is in this. Jeremy Renner, Thomas Hayden,
Church going Close, Josh Brolin again, Josh O'Connor. Uh, who
plays Judd.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
Yeah, he's in everything this year. He's like, isn't he wicked?
It wasn't he?

Speaker 2 (50:11):
Also he just doesn't amazing.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Yeah, wasn't he in? Uh? The one was and THEA
also the tennis one is.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
Yes, Challengers, Challengers.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
I loved watching him in this as well. He did
an amazing job. Kerrie Washington also, uh, but it really
pays off. This movie really pays off. I will say
that minor critiques, I think that it's a little heavy
handed at times. Was sort of the social commentary, which
I think isn't pretty much every Knives Out movie. But

(50:45):
if you can get past that, a little bit of
the like church commentary and social commentary.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
On that isn't like the main not like the main message,
not main the main, but among the main messages of
the first and second ones, like rich people bad, rich
people bad, And this was church bad.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
No, not necessarily, but in power bad, meg super dogmatic,
people in power bad.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
Gotcha who are also greedy? Powerful people bad?

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Yeah, greed bad. And it's a very satisfying mystery. It's
a satisfying mystery, and that is at the heart of
every Knives Out. Movie.

Speaker 1 (51:20):
Now, Well, you saw this mystery for me? Because I
have heard reviews. I've read reviews. Someone told me a
review once and they said this movie is better than
the First Knives Out.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
Nay woy nay, I say wow, I say nothing beats
the first Knives Out. I don't think that this is
better than the first Knives Out movie.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
The second second one.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
I'd say it's on par with the second or maybe
a little better.

Speaker 1 (51:51):
Maybe, except for like the last ten minutes. Seriously, Yeah,
it dropped off so hard for me. I'm like, oh,
that's how it ends.

Speaker 2 (51:58):
But it's such a radically different tone that it's hard
to compare. But I don't think anything beats the first
one with Anada Armas and her incredible, amazing body double
Jamie Blanco.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
Yeah, saw this other mystery for me? Benoi blanc outfits.
How I want to know his drip? How is his
drip in this movie? Is it dripping? Yeah? I suppose
it means a good thing. It's a good thing from
my understanding. From what kids are saying. Yeah, I mean
like in all the movies, he's like he's just very sharp,
like he's this movie.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Yeah, he looks good.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
He looks good, he's disappointed or not impressed.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
The thing is, we don't even see him, and so
like the second you know, they're the second act of
the movie, if a third act first, like the forty minutes,
we don't even see him.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
Yeah, we don't.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
We don't even see him. So be prepared to have
a different kind of knives out experience.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
M that's all all right? So it is on Netflix
right now, right, yeah? Netflix?

Speaker 2 (52:58):
And I think that we should out this year, James, Yes,
with our final game of sine quote will we win?
Will we lose? How will we end twenty twenty five?

Speaker 1 (53:09):
We will win victoriously.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Naturally natural question morek question mark Rklee.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
So let's see, all right, So yeah, we I'm playing
in a while, but I think let me go back
to our record because I think we're on a streak.
Best streak is twenty one.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
I feel like we lost recently.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
Do we lose recently? Well, guess what. We're here. We're
here for keeps, We're here for wins. We're here for wins.
We're win for games, all right.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
For all that.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
For those who want to play along with us, this
is game number eleven O seven, So one one is
zero seven Today's game if you want to play with
us again. Basically, it's like it's like word ole, but
with the movie of the day. Guess it. Given the
quotes you are given, here we go, here, we go
three two to one. People don't understand. Oh it's much high.

(53:55):
All these ten pin assholes coming in here like this,
slumming it the hell. Yeah, it sounds like they're playing
candlepin bowling.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
Yeah. The only other bowling movie I know other than
like The Big Lebowski is I was one with Bill
Murray both both not both finger? What is it? I
don't know Bill Murray not sure, bullpen is it?

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Let's give a guess.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
No, that's not a movie. It doesn't possible. Is it
bo finger? I think it's bow finger or like that's
I think it's both fingers.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
Okay, let's give it a guess some guests, No it is.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Oh that was not the movie I was thinking about.
This one stars Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin. Okay, so
we're gonna go to quote number two, ut number two.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Let's go. Can you not talk? Please?

Speaker 1 (54:49):
You don't catch you alone, because I will full it down.
Jesus can hear you. Holdovers, Yeah, Holdovers, I got that.
Let's see.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
I wonder where The Holdovers was filmed?

Speaker 1 (55:03):
Well, yeah, no one knows. It's actually a.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
Mystery here in Boston, Boston.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
In Massachusetts. The Holdovers best movie, my favorite movie of
twenty twenty three and three two one.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
Yeah, look at that skill.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
No one is to know. I mean no one, angus entrepreneur, sir,
love that movie.

Speaker 4 (55:27):
And uh, what a wonderful way to uh to end
the year. Not only did we get it, but it
was a movie made here in New England. Yeah, I'm
so excited for the year to come, James, and uh,
the interviews that we're gonna be getting, the events, we're
gonna be going to, the film.

Speaker 2 (55:42):

continue kicking ass into the next year. I don't know
if I can say that. Yeah again, right, I.

Speaker 1 (55:55):

Speaker 1 (56:09):
I'll be at home, you know, asleep in bed by
eight o'clock. Okay, yeah, that's what watch. I don't know
about movies, but my wife and I are already planning
like our big dinner feast and so there's a local
place in Arlington that they make bomb bomb bomb like
bomb food and we are gonna pig out. That's how
I want to enter and leave, leave this year and

(56:31):
enter the next year.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
How do you We're probably gonna have like, you know,
like a kid's New Year's at like ten o'clock.
