Speaker 1 (00:00):
The new dators are still in that phase where they
get like a text message from their significant other and
they're super excited about it, you know, because you see
your name pop up on the phone. You're just like, Oh,
you got the butterflies in your stomach.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
You're super excited. You're like, I wonder what kind of
emotion they use.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Oh, it's a peach emoji. I'm gonna send her an
egg plant emoj you.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Know, we're flirting.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
This is so cute. You get a text message in
a long relationship, though the reaction's a lot different, isn't it.
You get a text message in a long relationship.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
You're just like a check that later.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
You get an eggplant or a peach emoji and a
long relationship.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
All it means is like, Hey, on the way.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Home from work, which you pick some eggplants up with
some peaches.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
From the grocery store.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Just throw a splash emoji and there means get some.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Bottled water too.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
We're out of bottle of water. Make an eggplant parmers
on a peach cobbler for dinner. Be a saint, appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Texting can be tricky, since you will show it's hard
to read how people are via text message. Some people
can be super short. Some people can literally say that
they hate you and then follow it up with a
bunch of emojis that make you wonder if it was
a joke. And some people get your text and then
respond five weeks later like, sorry, just saw this, but
forgot that they have red receipts on so you know

(01:23):
they saw it a long time ago, which actually happened
to me the other day. Oh well, there's a new
study out that says you can tell everything about your
personality by how you text, and we'll go over it
right now, so you can learn a little bit about
yourself and the people that you text with on a
day to day basis. So here are some of the
things that your texting style might indicate about your personality.

(01:46):
If you're a paragraph texter, oh jeez, lengthy thoughtful messages
says you might be detail oriented, enjoy deep conversations, and
value context. Oh, thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Also, I will send a paragraph, and you're welcome for
the thought out time that I just spent.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
On that for you. If I get a paragraph texted
to me, I'm skimming.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yeah, we're still irritating because sometimes you have a lot
to say.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Well now in the new iPhones. Also, if you don't
open the message, it'll give you a summary. Oh the
summary is I love the summary. It's wild what it says. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
I mean you was texting me over the weekend about
some work stuff and the summary was like, uh, like
it was so confused by what you were saying. So
it was just like a bunch of nonsensical words next
to each other. Don't understand radio right right, Like it
doesn't get what we do. So it's like something about radio.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Says hilarious sometimes when it recaps somebody's text message, and
sometimes it'll be wrong. You know, someone will type something
and it's like they're they're having a problem right now.
You're like, you open the text super quick. You're like, no,
they made a joke.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
AI, It's not that that's the only way to get
you to open the text message. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
If you're a short and sweet text someone who prefers
concise messages, you're direct, practical and value efficiency in communication.
Aoh no, you don't do that. But it's hard if
you're a paragraph texture and you're texting with a short
and sweet texture, Oh my gosh, because then you're like,
are they mad?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
What?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
What?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
What?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
What's up? Why are they? Why are they texting me short? Well,
the thing that gets.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Confusing with the short textures is the punctuation. If there's
no punctuation, or if there's a period or an exclamation point, like,
you don't know what type of like vibe you're getting
the like if it's like a yelling or like an
excitement for the exclamation point.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Or a brush off you know, if you're a rapid
fire text so multiple short texts in a row, you're annoying. Victoria.
That's not what it says. If we're going to study.
That's just my opinion. If your scientists actually said that
you're just annoying. Your personality is annoying, you're going what

(03:58):
texting says about your person.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Happens when those people do those and they add the
voice notes and a little short paragraph, they come back
with another one victory.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
It's that they're fine. I'm trying to make it a
full experience for you.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Stop it, complete the thought before you start typing.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
It says that you might be a stream of consciousness
communicator or simply someone who wants to get their thoughts
out quickly there. It is as far as emotional expression
goes in texting, Emoji obsessed Texters says, you're expressive and
use emojis to convey emotions and add personality to your messages.
I'm a fan of emojis, big fan. I like emojis.

(04:35):
I never used to use emojis, but I realize some
people they don't know how, they don't know how to
communicate anymore without emojis. So you say something, you have
to have a smiley face after it, or they think
you're upset. You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
It's like a nice thing to do though, you know,
just to make people feel a little extra better. Little
validation goes a long way.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
The worst thing is when you're having a serious text
conversation someone who's just stupid.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
I've gotten I've been in arguments before in like relationship
and they would use emojis and my response would be,
I don't know how to read that emoji. I don't
know what that emoji is. I know you're upset right now,
but you send an emoji and it doesn't look like
an angry face, So I'm like, what is that emoji? Please?
It's an eye roll? Okay, I already know you're rolling

(05:19):
your eyes. I'm going to use.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Emojis in an argument. I feel like that just diffuses
the entire situation. Yeah, I think you seriously.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, it's hard to take it seriously when it happens.
If you're a dry texter, one word answers or use
minimal language, you might come across as disinterested or prefer
to keep things brief.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
I'm busy, I'm busy, like so when you're texting me
a bunch of stuff on your time, you got to
understand that I'm not going to get back to you
and meet you where you are, at your level until
I have time to do that, which is probably three
months from now.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
That just makes me not want to text you. There's
no point to communicate with you. You're not going to
give me anything, like forget it, I'm done here.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
If I'm done here, if I get excited, that's what
I'm hoping for.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
What not with Nina specifically.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Studying about text messaging That says you can tell about
people's personality based on how they text in response time.
If you're a prompt responder, says you might be easily approachable,
value connection and have a tendency to be responsive to things.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah, if you're by your phone, response stop with the
game's full.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
If you're a slow responder, you might be busy, value
your own time, or simply prefer to think before responding
or to play games.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
I wonder which one of the people in the room
fills in the gaps, right.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I know everything they're thinking, and it's not good for me. Well,
it's annoying now. And as far as attachment style, if
you're an anxious text or says you send long messages
over analyzed responses, you might have an anxious attachment style
and seek reassurance. If you're a dismissive text there Nina's
laughing right now, reluctant to engagements, deep conversations, or express emotions,

(07:04):
and you might have a dismissive attachment style or prioritize independent.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
I'm tired now, but I need to very much be
that girl. Now.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I just go to sleep
