Family couldn't have asked for a better day.

Speaker 3 (00:39):

I Also, I'm very excited because after this interview I'm

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Well, shout out Dave. They're playing right now.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
They're one of my faves. So love those dudes. And yeah,
White Chapel Suicide Silence for sure.

Speaker 7 (01:05):
Lamb of God was epic last night and Laurena Shore.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, have you had a chance of doing anything at
the Kentucky Kingdom yet?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Not yet.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Some of the guys want to go over there.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
We watched a slayer from the top of the Bears
Wheel last night. Go a little earlier, like not when
it's dark, but like as the sun is setting. It's busy,
but like today is a lot busier than yesterday. I've
been shooting this way so everyone can see what the
background's like. It's like twice the amount of people back
here than it was yesterday. I can only imagine the crowds.
It's it's wild.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Yeah, it's pretty fucking insane, man.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
So what do you guys got going on? You got
a whole new record out right, correct?

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Yeah, we just dropped a brand new album called Monument
Get It Anywhere, and we are. This is actually the
first show of the Monument album release tours. So we're
out for about five weeks, check our.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Dates and if we're coming to a city near you,
come check us out.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
When it comes to touring, what is I don't know,
the mental preparation of the physical pro What do you
guys go through to get ready for something like this.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
I'll let you take it, Mike.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah all right.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
I mean for me, it's like it's a lot, right,
We're living in a huss yeah, like eight nine dudes.
So for me, it's like working out a little bit,
trying to get the cardio up, mental health preparations before
you get on the road because you're in a get
tight space. You're doing you're not at home, You're not
you know, like your routines.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Everything switches. You got to get acclimated.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
And so I just try to like eat healthy before
we go out, get prepared mental health stuff, and working
out a little bit some partio awesome.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Now, what do you guys make sure no matter what
that individually you make sure you bring with you on tour.
I'm not talking about the classics like underwear, tooth brush, whatever.
What's something that you're like, I cannot forget to bring
this towel?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yes, okay, easily forgettable, dude.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Our first couple of toys back in the day, you'd like,
just like, fuck, I forgot a towel.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
So that's a big one for me.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I forgot my towel. For me, it's trying to eat
clean on the road. So I try to bring like
cooking stuff, a little stove, some spatulas, you could do
some grocery shopping.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
So just seem clean when we can.

Speaker 7 (03:02):
Definitely my contacts because I'm blind as a bat without them,
and definitely Xbox for the bus.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I was gonna ask.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
The next question was if you're not in this rock
metal world, what are you guys doing to keep yourself saying, well,
what do.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
You mean so Xbox lifting? Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, man.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
I think it's all about taking care of your mental dude.
It's like whatever works for you to kind of get
your mental clarity, you gotta just do that.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
Yeah, to spend time as much time at home with
our dog and girlfriend and family and stuff like that.

Speaker 7 (03:33):
Yeah, enjoy the home time before you leave. But you know,
this is also what we love to do. This is
our second family. We all love each other, we all
get along great, and it's just like I'm away from home.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
What is a favorite track off this new record for
each of you, and why.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
I'm probably gonna go Judge Me.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
I just think it's a nice combination of the two
genres we're going for, and something about it just hits
for me.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Man mine's also and judge Me.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Since the demo days and playing it live for the
first time tonight and just hearing those harmonies and the riffs,
I was like, Damn, I think we look at each.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Other like this is cool.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
We waited for the first time today.

Speaker 7 (04:11):
So I have two. They would definitely be Villain and Nightmare.
Why Villain is just a great blend. You know, the
message is there. You know a lot of people have
villainized us in Nokauer reggae scene for doing what we
do with the metal and everything like that. Yes, so

(04:32):
it's kind of just like, if you want to point fingers,
then go ahead and point them Nightmare because it's next
to next to one of the other songs on the album.
It's the heaviest on the album, and really like pushing
the boundaries of what we want to do and what
we can do.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Yes, I mean we're gonna get into the genre blending here.
Reggaecor what's going on with that? What made you guys
wake up and go you know what, Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
We're all kind of like unique in a sense where
it's like we all spend time in both worlds. Most
of us grew up playing metal and heavy stuff, spent
you know, I spent a decade in the reggae scene
doing like a pure reggae band, and when that was over,
it was like, let me just combine the two loves
of my.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Life that I've had. You know, most of the guys
have a similar story.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Well, any advice you guys would give the fans or
band up and coming bands rather be reggae, rock, metal, whatever.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Keep going, man, hone in on your.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
Craft, don't let anybody tell you can't do it.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
And just fucking keep going.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Just put in the work, like, don't stop.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
If you love it and that's what you truly want
to do, just maybe get a mentor, but just do
what you have to do to get to your goals.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Just don't stop working, stay true to.

Speaker 7 (05:43):
Yourself, don't let anybody tell you what you can or
can't do. Like Nathan said, if you want to do it,
do it and keep doing it.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Awesome. What can fans expect from you guys in twenty twenty.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Six new music and touring?

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Man easy enough? Any any final words you want to say?
Two fans, thank.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
You guys so much for allowing us to do what
we do and live our dreams.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Man awsible anything for you guys. Sorry, we just love
you guy. I mean, the fans are what make this possible.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
So thank you so much. We love you.

Speaker 7 (06:13):
Yeah, thank you to everyone, the lovers and the haters.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
We love you all. Facts. You keep the numbers pushing,
so it's fine.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Appreciate you guys a little bit your time today.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I appreciate you guys for checking out.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
This is an awkward thing we're doing right now, but
appreciate you guys for checking this out.

Speaker 1 (06:28):

bands like this, hit that fall a Button. Before you go,
