Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys. My name is Bradley, I'm Addie and we
(00:02):
are Halisceine and you are listening and watching or experiencing
the Kevin Powell podcast. What's up going?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
This is Kevin from the Kevin pell Podcast, Day three
Louder in Life. I'm here with HALLI scene.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
This is Addie and I'm Bradley, And what are you
guys doing the bed?
Speaker 3 (00:20):
I'm well, we.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Both sing singing, screaming, and she's like the lead singer
and clean vocals, although she's screaming lately, which is kind
of cool. And I used to be more screaming and
now I'm singing more. So we're just kind of you
guys just put out a new album, Yes.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
I know. We Well, we're always putting out new music,
did we. We're in a perpetual state of always putting
out new music.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
We released our single by My Tongue like months ago,
two months ago at this point. But we're working on
a new album that's supposed to be coming out in February.
We're going for Valentine's Day called When Love Dies.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
So it's in progress.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, you got to all planned out? Tell me what's what?
What can fans expect from that, well.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
A biography of divorce.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, So we used to be married, we have a
kid together, and we've been we've recently separated. So the
album is really just about that, and we're writing about
our personal struggles through it. It's very intimate, very raw,
and it's been extremely difficult to get through, but also
very like I think, some of the best music we've
ever made.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I see, I'm not actually with iHeartRadio or anything. This
is actually a therapy session. I don't know anything about that.
So all right, Well it's a little bit of a
unique approach. But fans you guys from a lot of covers. Yes,
So tell me about the covers. How did you kind
of get involved with that? The thing I could think
of is pop goes plunk from me forever ago. So
we've never been in a record label.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
We've been around for quite a while, maybe like sixteen
years and chains or something, and so between our original
music and albums, we do covers to kind of keep
our fan base happy. It's also kind of like a
marketing tool. Calls it like entertaining advertisements, right, But we
don't just do it for that. We We have fun
doing it, you know. Because we can knock out a
cover in a week and it's fun. You know, original music,
(02:04):
even if your songs aren't that good, you can take
you a year to write it, and you know, it's
like you never know how long original music's gonna take
sort to fill in all those gaps. So you're working
on the stuff that's really speaks to you and comes
from your heart. It's so much fun to just like
play around in the sandbox with other people's tunes and
and maybe you get some fans from them, and it opened.
It's really what drove us to be more metal or
(02:25):
hard rock is our fans were like, you guys should
try covering this, and you know we've gone from a
country cover to now ad he just did Violent Nature
by a Prevail and it was basically def core. You know,
I don't know, so it's that's that's I guess that
wraps up how we do cover.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I was about to mention the Violent Nature cover because
the Avravail shows came out.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah it's awesome, Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
It was really cool because we were just in catering
and we ran into Eric and he came up to
me and he was like, I really liked your cover.
That was so sweet. I was like, I was trying
to fan girl, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, I was like, hey, Bradley Goes, I'm Eric, and
I'm like, I know, I know who you are.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
But Eric's such a cool guy. We met him out
an incarceration this year and he's a big Nails fan,
like the band Nails. We talked about that for like
five minutes.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
And they're all really nice. Guy. I met Gabe and
Steve too shortly after, and they're just lovely people and
so talented. And I don't know, you might know this already,
but they actually come from a similar trajectory of us.
They did the YouTube cover of Tylor's song Yeah, and
so for us it's super They're way bigger than us.
It might sound silly to say I'm proud of them.
(03:33):
They feel like of the same cloth in our eyes,
and they have made it and now we aspire to
do the same thing, and so hats off to them.
Fucking awesome guys, and the fact that they have come
from a similar place, yes, and now just are killing it.
It's lovely, it's really awesome.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
So I talked I break the fourth wall. We I
talked too. When I talk to Eric. We were talking
about nails and I was like, hey, talk for males, Eric, Eric,
these guys one on iravail songs, so get them on.
Let's have some fun. Yeah see, they're all ready for me. Yeah,
I got a couple. I'm ready, right, I got a
couple of coffee. I mean, I'm ready to go. So
what can fans expect? I mean, twenty twenty five, let's
(04:09):
pretend it's over. Twenty twenty six. We got the Valentine's album. Man, Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Mean, we're looking at touring opportunities. Nothing is concrete yet,
but we are as we said, we're parents, so we
have to try to keep it pretty minimal. We don't
do anything too crazy, but definitely looking at coming doing
a nice US run. Going back to Europe. We have
a couple of opportunities there that I can't talk about yet,
but yeah, we're definitely going to be doing the thing.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Sounds exciting. Any final words you guys want to say
to fans?
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Thank you guys. You guys are our real record label
and have been all along. I mean from the bottom
of our hearts to the top of yours. I don't know.
He just on that off that we have a heart
right now, so sweet. Hell guys love our feat ours
are edit that out or turned the volume up either are.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Zoom in real close on it. Well, Alison and Gods,
thanks for stalling. Been in a little bit today.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
This was fun.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah, we'm gonna talk to you a little bit.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Alison.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
You got that Valentine's IBM coming out soon? I mean, hey,
so many covers, so many songs, so much music to
check out, so make sure you do and hey, we'll
see you later.
