Speaker 2 (00:20):
Horrible?
Speaker 3 (00:21):
You just plained, how can you be horrible?
Speaker 4 (00:24):
It was really good?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
So you walked off? Well, you walked that's good at start.
He walked on stage. Yes, what'd you see? What was
it like? Paint the picture?
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Well, that was the sea of people.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
And I don't think you can ever really prepare yourself
for that when you like walk out and you're like,
oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
It's it's people like physically showing up to see you.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
It's not just like on my numbers or streams or whatever,
and so it's really visceral to see like that.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Many people.
Speaker 6 (00:46):
People have hated me my whole life. So it's very confusing.
Woh the polarity, Oh is that possible?
Speaker 5 (00:51):
I'm annoy as fuck a little bit at sibling sibling
here verifying this information suitcase.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
I literally I have no word. It's amazing, Like you're
so appreciated.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
It well, you mentioned it's not just streams, it's not
just no.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I mean, you have those, but let's be real seeing
the people in front of you and how to feel
see people sing songs.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Back to you.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
I mean that that's really cool. But this is a
first show.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
I mean, Jill can correct me if I'm wrong, but
this is the first show I've ever seen people CrowdSurf too.
They didn't crowdserve at Rockville, So like for me, I
was like, what you know. I mean, I'm no stranger
to i'mashpit. But like, when you see people crowdserving to
your music, it's a whole nother thing.
Speaker 6 (01:28):
I think when you see people singing your words that
you wrote I don't even have, I'm very confused.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
It's very humbling. I mean you look at and you're like, wait,
you're here from me?
Speaker 6 (01:38):
Yeah yeah, oh yeah, I am on stage.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
I forgot about that.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Okay, So with that being said, you just did it.
What's coming up next? I mean, any bigger festivals, any
school I mean you're on tour of course.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Yeah, we're on here right now with a Hell Half
No Fury tour. This is like an entire like front
women led tour, which is really cool. It's in this
moment Worgasm and cat Vonde and then we are, you know,
the first one of four, and it's it's just been
incredible soufar.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
We've done a total of one date.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
We had to sit out a couple of dates for
Ink today, but we're back on the road with them.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
In Nashville on Tuesday. Yes, And it's just.
Speaker 6 (02:15):
So cool being taken under the wing of so in
a like powerful women.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
I've really led that, you know, it's really cool.
Speaker 6 (02:22):
It's really cool seeing just like how happy the whole
crew is and playful Internet is and this is really fun.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Hal's Maria.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
How's meeting her house, seeing her being around her or anything.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Icon I mean her her vibe is very cool. I
haven't officially gotten to meet her in the Sugar Hand yet.
We had her an icon, Yeah, I mean she is
an icon. I got to watch her set, but I
haven't gotten to meet her yet in person because it was,
you know, I mean, load in the first day is
kind of chaotic. We're you know, we're there to you know,
fill in the gaps. But I'm excited to get to
know her.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
And Horror is like one of my favorite songs.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I so, well, yeah, yeah, well, given, I mean, let's
pull up the numbers.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
It's probably okay. So actually you bring that up. That's
a great dynamic. I mean, you're on tour with this
band and you haven't even met the lead singer yet.
Take me behind the scenes. What's going on back there?
Speaker 5 (03:08):
A lot of roadcases, a lot of tour buses, and
then you see our scraphy setup that's like a bit
a bit more humble and modest, which is cool. I
mean that's the stage where you know in our career
right now, and that's it's really fun and like everybody's
just so welcoming though, Like everybody from Kavand's team has
been like very like nurturing warg asmthing.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Really cool and even in this moment's crew has been really.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Like everyone there makes you feel welcome.
Speaker 6 (03:31):
You don't fee uncomfortaby And yeah, it's honestly so, we've got.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
More faces to meet person to person, but I mean
we'll get there.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
We have some surprises we can't say yet. Yeah, some
things will be happening a lot on tour.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yep, right, there's gonna be more surprises in the future, right,
you already.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
Planned, Yes, absolutely too many where our producer is getting stressed.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Okay, I mean speaking of producer, you guys just release
a new material, right, yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Yeah, Our first full length album is about to come out,
is called Zero Point Genesis, and it's gonna come out
later this year, so you know, the date is still
being kind of hammered out. So maybe the more pressure
be it from fans. That's where you guys come in.
It might come out sooner than then.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
If any of them are like my ADHD brain, I
want to release it faster.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yes than Siverian.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Probably will be comfortable with Sumans are label but yes,
but they're they're really great people. But yeah, we're trying
to We're trying to go as fast as we possibly can,
as humanly possible.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
But most see how it goes.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
I mean, did you think you'd be here when you
guys released Sleepwalker? No?
Speaker 5 (04:32):
I don't think Sleepwalker's even written a year ago from
like today's date.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
I could be wrong. I written it was written, it
was like very close.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Why it it's very caustic today, so like maybe but
maybe not.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I have to know.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
July and I life has gone fast. Like I said,
people hated well hated me.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
For us by this, I'm very confused this is occurring.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I don't believe that, not at all, truly.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I'll ask because she knows, you.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Know, is a well we don't, so don't worry about it.
So I mean also, looked at all the people having
in front of you when you performed it in they
didn't They loved it.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Yeah, oh no, they were so nice. They were in safe. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Jill said, people hater that they were throwing like wristbands.
It like little like friendship racist that said, Jill on
them ch like they were throwing. They were throwing Jill
wristbands at me, so they don't hate Jill.
Speaker 6 (05:20):
They were throwing I was throwing out them and then
they were throwing them back like new ones back.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I was like, what is going on? Okay, amazing.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
That reminds me of John Seena back in two thousand
and five and the ec W.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
You kept trying to throw his shirt out and everyone
was like no, fuck you and a coup throwing it back.
But that's our That's another thing.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
That's the whole thing, you know. Anyways, So what is
you know? You really sleep walker? After that? Was it
right into album time or like tell me about that.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Hell, I mean we went from we wrote a few
songs after Dad, but for the most part, we ended
up like transitioning into album time once we did commit
to a label, and once that like committal period happened,
I guess like we did turn our brains more towards
like label focused and clean album But yeah, I don't know.
I mean, nothing ever stops, like it's a constantly treadmill
(06:05):
you're on, so you know, social media never stops, like
live performances never stopped all the.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Way we wrote Vessel after Sleepwalker. Yeah, never made a
lot of videos for it. But Bess is one of
my favorite songs.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
And I mean, I love Black Ops. Two Black Ops
is dope.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
But that was gonna you what I asked, you know,
what's your favorite what was your favorite song perform at ink?
And what's your favorite song in general? Why you guys
so far that you can say I beg you.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
You can say, oh, okay, I right now. I mean,
I love the playfulness of button Eyes, but I love
the streaming aspects of some of the other songs.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Whenever I get to growl and that's my ship.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
You can't. I just said fuck a second ago.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Okay cool, Yeah, yeah, fucking yes, shit, I love button
Eyes personally.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I call it tumblr core.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, it's a tumbler cord all right, all right?
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, Now the girls in No No Space have moon core.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Now you have tumbler core.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
How long their cough core?
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Cough core? Yeah? I want two. When it down to
all the stress and all the oh.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
We got this album coming out, and we have the label,
and we have this.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
And we have the tour, it's all worth.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
It, right, yeah, one hundred percent.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Like we get up every day and we choose to
do this and like I don't I can't imagine. I mean,
Jill and I have done this like against all odds
for so long and the most like pathetic, scrappy way
you could ever imagine that, Like for us, like it
was never an option not to do music, and it's
kind of.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Being it was our cathartic outlet as you're going through life.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
And I sound so hokey.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
You always have like you process things that you sometimes
you don't have logic for, you know, and I think
for us.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Like music has always done that.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
So to see people really resonate with something that you
know was really out there. Yeah, but sleepwalk around like,
oh shit, people really want okay, yeah where I like
us that?
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Yeah, Well then then they resonate with that.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
They're also at that space, right, you know often this
week well wonderful.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
I mean, I have a couple last questions for you guys,
And the question I ask every band, no matter where
in their career, is if you had to give advice
to a band just starting out, they're a little bit
along the way now, or you know, they want to
see themselves on a stage like incarceration or something huge,
what would your advice be and why?
Speaker 5 (08:16):
I mean my advice would be to block out all
the noise and not listen to any anyone outside of
your own personal team that you trust and really value
their opinions, because like, at the end of the day,
if you make music, you're doing it for yourself and
it should be only for yourself, and then people will
resonate with that because it's authentic. So I would just say, like,
(08:36):
when you when you stop caring about other people, is
when it's going to be the best.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
That's when we found success.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
H Yeah, when you stop caring about what other people
think of you, and you do it from like a
soul real level, like you're like, what am I really
going through?
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Not what will sell, not any of that, just what
am I really feeling?
Speaker 1 (08:53):
You know?
Speaker 5 (08:54):
And weird or like dynamic or a traditional host on
genre like right boxing, Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
And like do your thing, do be weird and own
your weird ship.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah, be weird, have fun and played incarceration. Have you
guys go toward the president or anything yet? No?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
So we've had a session at five, so we're really excited.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
You cannot wait.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Okay, we're giving the scary one. With the scary one.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Good because no offense, but I would like there to
be a little bit more room. During the normal one,
you are first in the person the entire time, and
it's a little hotter. But the scary one is a
lot more fun. So how about the tattoo expo? Have
you guys seen that yet?
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Not yet? We're kind of nude if you haven't notice.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Well, I got my first one here wait ye here? Yeah?
This was twenty yes, last year last year at ink
Is it dead?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Is it dead?
Speaker 3 (09:44):
I mean it's not moving? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Ok, that's an omen.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
What band is this from?
Speaker 1 (09:50):
You?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Even say's trivia show?
Speaker 1 (09:51):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
I feel like I should know.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Okay, I got it.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
It starts with an A the A something? Wait what
the A something?
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Hey?
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Hold on, hold on me.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
They're a heavy band. They've been around a while.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
I feel like an idiot.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Well, they just put out a new song.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
More clue, clue, more clue, when more clue.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
They're on rise Rocker.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
I don't know that they don't pay attention to labels.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Wait wait, well okay, okay, the Acacia strain a cacious straight.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
No, we're close. All right, you're pulling it. A Corey
that goes to the prison.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Gets out here.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Sorry, all right, we have now broken incarceration fest with
a pretty wild Any final words you guys want to say?
Speaker 4 (10:37):
The fans, We're so sorry about the XR.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
We love you.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
I'm just kidding. No, thank you for supporting us.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
We really appreciate it, and we will do our work
on the Acacia strain for research.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
The camera guy over here is like, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (10:49):
It's been wild?
Speaker 3 (10:50):
All right?
