Beacon Hill was dragging their feet on legislation for public
schools all across the state, so local school districts are
making their own rules when it comes to placing their
own bands on cell phone use in the classroom during
the school day. Northampton is the latest school district who
now has an ad hoc committee discussing a potential policy
proposal that would ban students from using phones in the

classroom during the day from the morning to closing bell.
With state lawmaker's lack of cohesion on the issue, expect
more concerned districts to head in this direction. Jim McKay

The family members of Anastaya Morales staged a peaceful protest
outside the Kon nightclub last night. Morales collapsed inside the
club last weekend and later died. Her family is accusing
the club of negligence for not doing enough to help,
but Kon management has denied the allegations, claiming video footage

shows CPR began quickly and authorities were notified within minutes.
The investigation is ongoing and the club remains closed after
its entertainment license was suspended. The Mad Dash begins to
