four o'clock. Good afternoon. I'm Suzanne Sosville. Here's what's happening.
After getting fired for inappropriate behavior during the investigation into
John O'Keeffe's death, State trooper Michael Proctor wants his job back.

Former mass Day police trooper Michael Proctor is making his
pitch to get his job back, appealing his firing this
week to the Civil Service Commission. Hearing is set for
Tuesday and Wednesday. Proctor led the investigation into Boston police
officer John O'Keeffe's death, but was fired for his conduct
after derogatory texts he sent about Karen reading a group
chat came to light during the first trial.

without pay and later fired. Reid's defense team accused Proctor
of planting evidence during the investigation. Reid was ultimately acquitted
of second degree murder during trial number two those who
was found guilty of in oui and sentenced to a

Police are investigating a shooting in Dorchester. It happened at
around eight o'clock last night at Harambe Park. Officers found
one victim who was hospitalized with non life threatening injuries.
Police say they arrested a suspect and did recover a firearm.
Police have not released the name of the alleged shooter,
what charges they're facing, or if they know the victim.

Israeli officials are denying a new report on famine in Gaza.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification says over half a
million Palestinians are facing catastrophic conditions starvation, destitution and death.
CBS's MTAs Taieb has the latest.

Famine that will and must haunt us. All undated and
highly edited video just released by the Israeli government claims
to show an abundance of food across Gaza a claim
echoed by the US ambassador to Israel, but the UN
insists Israel has sharply restricted the amount of aid for Gaza,

which can be seen loaded onto trucks that's it just
yards away.

Palestinian health officials say more than two hundred and fifty
two hundred and eighty people have starved to death in
Gaza since the start of the Israeli Hamas War. Meanwhile,
Israeli airstrikes have hit the capital of Yemen, just days
after Hoothy rebels fired a missile toward Israel. The Houthi
say the strikes hit multiple areas across the city of Sanah,

including a power plant and gas station. Two people were
reportedly killed and five others injured. Israel's military says it
targeted the Houthy's military infrastructure, including a site in the
presidential Palace. The forecast partly cloudy and humid overnight, with
a low of sixty seven. It'll stay that way for tomorrow,

Monterra was eleven weeks pregnant when she was reported missing
August seventh. Twenty two year old Gregory Groom arrested last Tuesday,
charged with her murder. At the vigil, a balloon release
to honor Kylie and her unborn child. Many who attended
the gathering said this violence could happen to anyone.

One person remains missing after a boat capsizes off Salisbury
Beach late yesterday afternoon. Officials in Newbury Ports say a
boat left the Salisbury Marina, took on water, and began
to near the mouth of the Merrimack River with two
people on board. The Coastguard was able to rescue the

owner of the ship and take him to the hospital
with non life threatening injuries. A second man is still
unaccounted for. Neither man has been identified. A high surf
advisory was in effect yesterday because of remnants from Hurricane Erin. Meanwhile,
first responders in York, Maine rescue a boater after his

sailboat capsized in rough surf. York Beach Fire says the
harbormaster reported a sailboat in distress off Central av yesterday morning.
During the response, a strong wave capsized the boat and
knocked it into rocks. Officials say the boater was found
conscious and alert and was taken to a local hospital
