Sunny and seventy degrees in Boston at four o'clock at afternoon,
I'm Suzanne Sausville. Here's what's happening. Boston is bracing for
a potential surge in immigration enforcement from the Trump administration.
CBS News Boston's Paul Burton reports.

The Trump administration plans an immigration crackdown and so called
sanctuary cities. Reports say in the coming weeks, Boston could
potentially become a target or a surge of ICE agents
or arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
All these sanctuary cities that refuse to work with life,
where we know public safety threats are being released every
day into this country, especially those cities.

We're going to address that.

It's these actions that have forced many nonprofits that help
the immigrant community to be on edge.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
These crackdowns are making the city less safe, They're endangering
families and children, and they're harming the economy.

Chief operating officer of Lack Collaborativa and Chelsea. Train says
the Chelsea community is already reeling from the immigration crackdown,
and a surge would be devastating to families. In the
past six months, they've seen a forty percent increase in
immigrant families asking for assistance.

Boston Mayor Michelle Woe says her administration will protect its citizens.
Chicago's mayor is also pushing back on a potential federal
immigration crackdown. ABC Selina Weng has that.

Law enforcement officials telling ABC News the administration plans to
surge immigration enforcement operations in Chicago as early as this week.
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, fighting back, signing an executive order
to resist the order, says Chicago police will not collaborate
with federal agents on civil immigration enforcement and urges federal

law enforcement to remain uniformed and unmasked.

President Trump says he's cracking down on crime. This just
into the WBZ newsroom. Former New York City Mayor Rudy
Giuliani is seriously injured after a crash in New Hampshire.
A spokesperson says Giuliani's vehicle was on the highway last
night when it was hit from behind at high speed.

Giuliani was taken to a nearby trauma center, where doctors
diagnosed him with several injuries, including a fractured vertebrae. The
spokesperson says this was not a targeted attack and asks
everyone to respect Giuliani's privacy and recovery. Again, former New

crash in New Hampshire last night. If you're traveling this
Labor Day, be prepared for long lines at the airport.

The TSA says it's going to be a record weekend
for airline travel. The Transportation Security Administration estimates that over
seventeen million passengers will be screened at America's air ports
through Tuesday, making it the busiest Labor Day travel period
on record. The good news is that Triple A says
ticket prices for domestic flights are down six percent from

And checking Logan airport right now, according to flight Aware,
there are ninety five delays in and out of Boston
and seven cancelations. Few clouds overnight. We'll see a low

Well, the tiny streets of the North End need to
handle move out Day and Saint Anthony's Feast in the
same afternoon. Well you'd better have legalized to land a
parking spot.

and I get I'm a hunt up, so I'm getting
out there early.

The final day of the festival is when the frenzy
kicks into its highest gear. It's Precession time. A dedicated
troop of volunteers carries a huge statue of Saint Anthony
around the North End for the entire day.

For about ten hours, we walk s Anthony on our shoulders.

The festival honors the patron scene of Montefacione, a town
in southern Italy where many in the North End trace
their roots. They call it the Feast of Feasts, and
this is certainly the biggest of the late summer celebrations

Boston police are investigating a shooting in Mission Hill. It
happened just after three this morning on Tremont Street. The
shooting left one person injured and damaged several vehicles and
to business say the victim took themselves to the hospital
with non life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.

Nearly twelve million people are living with Parkinson's disease, and
while there's no cure, more and more treatments are focusing
on movement to control the symptoms. CBS's Vicki Barker has more.

Doctors in Argentina are running tango lessons to help keep
Parkinson's disease at bay. The dance workshops at one Buenos
Aire's hospital have helped some two hundred patients control the
symptoms of this neurodegenerative disease. Apparently, the starts and stops
that characterize tango help sufferers better control their gate and
