A tropical wind and rainstorm moving northward toward our area

south to north. Wind's going to pick up as well
throughout the day today. While the high near sixty, worst
conditions with this storm will be tonight and tomorrow. It
will be quite windy, some gusts up near fifty bus
per hour and on the coast could cause some localized damage,
and we're gonna have some street and highway flooding issues

(03:13):
with the rain much of the time tonight and tomorrow,
and also a concern for some coast of flooding during
times of high tide. The low tonight fifty four, temperatures
about steady tomorrow, storm pulls away on Tuesday, Lingering clouds
the high fifty nine and then we'll have some sun
Wednesday after sixty two. I'm ATKI Weather's John Fierick WBZ,

Right now, most of that rain we're seeing from that
storm is focused over the islands and parts of the
southern parts of the Cape in the south coast, hitting
New Bedford now in parts of Rhode Island also seeing
some rain along the coast up here as well. Bronton, Bridgewater, Quincy, Boston, Salem,
and Gloucester are all seeing some pockets of light rain
right now. That'll be nothing compared to what we're going
to see later. Right now, in Boston, it is fifty

(03:53):
eight degrees with light rain. A Boston cafe owner says

Russ and Mimi's, so he asked the News. Boston's Logan
Hall spoke with Pepin.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
These type of incidents really do get the community together
and show support for anyone that's impacted, and that's exactly
what has happened here.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Kelly says that the response has been uplifted, reminding her
more and more that this is whole.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
The phrase is like silver lining, but it really you know,
when something happens and it makes you like question humanity
and people's you know, the hate that they have in
their heart, and then everybody just kind of surrounds you
with love and support. It just makes you be like,
you know what, like they got me. I'm in a
good place.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
She has plans to put up a new bride flag
as early as next week.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Owner Kelly Wallash first thought the wind had blown the
flag now, but later realized the braket was broken and
found the flag in a nearby dumpster. You are now
in the loop news updates throughout the day. Listen to
