We are certainly aring off looking like another drury morning
out there. We've got a whole lot of fog and
some cloudy skies, but also some cooler air and we
will certainly be seeing some sunshine once again today, and
boy do we deserve it after all of those rain
showers yesterday, the flooded roads and different areas. The cleanup
was lasting all day on Thursday. But we've got that
(03:21):
in our rearview mirror. Luckily, the clouds will break off.
We should have a really beautiful afternoon highs around eighty
degrees for tonight, partly cloudy, lows down into the sixties.

against her thrown out.
Speaker 6 (03:58):
Sharon Reed is moving to dismiss a wrongful death lawsuit
against her that was filed in August of twenty twenty

police officer John O'Keefe. Reid was acquitted of the murder
of O'Keeffe last month, and she was just found guilty
of OUI. The civil suit was also filed against two
Canton bars, c F. McCarthy's and the Waterfall Bar and
(04:20):
Grill where O'Keeffe and Reed were drinking the night before
he died. The latest filing by Reed does not cite
a reason for her request to dismiss the lawsuit. Back
on July third, Read added three additional lawyers to her
team to represent her in this case. The O'Keefe family
is seeking at least fifty thousand dollars in damages for
what the lawsuit calls pain and suffering, emotional distress and more.

And we continue now at six seven. The Market Basket
saga continues and another senior manager has been benched.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Market Basket has been in the throes of a leadership
upheaval for months since the board there suspended CEO Arthur T.
Demoulis and several other execs. The latest casualty Paul Quigley,
a supervisor who manages twenty two.
Speaker 8 (05:03):
Stores, and I was calling them out and questioning and said, hey,
what are we doing here?
Speaker 3 (05:07):
The forty four year veteran has been suspended until the
end of September, and he says that's because he was
asking too many questions about where the change popular CEO was.
He describes the current situation as a kind of power vacuum.
Speaker 8 (05:19):
The reason for my dismissal was that they said I
was being disruptive. In fact, I was asking questions and
regat to my boss. Mister Demillis wanted to know when
he's going to be back.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
The leadership struggle touched off in May when the board
appointed by Arthur T's sisters accused him of planning a
work stoppage.
Speaker 8 (05:35):
I covered twenty two stores. If there was any type
of a planned walkout, I think I would know about it.

start exercising.
Speaker 4 (05:49):

death by thirty to forty percent later in life. I
study published by the British Journal of Sports Medicine found
people who were consistently active got the most benefit, but
even people who did not exercise but started becoming more
active had a twenty to twenty five percent lower risk
of death.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
CBS's Michael George. Recent numbers claim about a quarter of
