I'm Charlie Burger on. Here's what's happening. Two workers killed
after a crane collapses yesterday afternoon in Everts CBS News

came in and the urgent response began. A crane crashing
onto a barge.

Their rescue efforts happening on land and water. But after
rushing one man to the hospital where he later died,
the operation quickly turning into a recovery mission cruise working
to remove the body of another man trapped under the crane.
The mayor saying a cable snapped and fell on workers
cutting pipes off the dock.

to provide probably for their families, movesday life at work. Yeah,

It's Everett. Mayor Carlo Di Maria. The Middlesex County DA's
office is investigating President Trump on his way to Malaysia,
first stop of his three nation trip to Asia.

It's a long flight to Malaysia, so President Trump won't
arrive until Sunday local time. While there, he'll meet with
Malaysia's Prime Minister in Kuala Lumpur and attend the ASSION Summit,
which stands for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The
President attends the summit at a time when he's trying
to exert pressure against China through the use of trade tariffs.
Trump will get to meet with China's president she in

person in South Korea, where he will attend the Asia
Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit. After stopping first in Japan, he

The White House firefighter from Ireland charged with raping a
woman in Austin last year, found guilty yesterday. Terence Crosby
arrested back in March of twenty twenty four on suspicion
of assaulting a woman at the Omni Parker House hotel.
This was the second time the Commonwealth had gone to
trial in this case. That first court case ended in

a mistrial. Crosby scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday. The
President says he is canceling an immigration enforcement surge in
San Francisco.

When President Trump assured San Francisco's mayor that he was
calling off plans for now to send a surge of
federal agency and it wasn't clear if the President meant
only in San Francisco or the entire Bay Area region.
Agents have been in the area. They've been amassing at
a Coastguard base in Alameda, across the Bay from San Francisco,
but now the Alameda County Sheriff's south He says it

Two officers posted up in the parking lot outside Dedham's
Public Safety building are accepting anything unused or expired. Detam
Police Chief Michael Dontrumont says holding on to medications around
your home can be dangerous, even if a doctor prescribed them.

The research has shown that a lot of times when
people first start taking drugs illegally, that they get them
out of family or friends medicine cabinets. So if we
can take them out of circulation, last chance people trying
drugs that they're not supposed to be taking.

And the take back day also helps to ensure medications
are being safely thrown away so they don't end up
in the trash or in a water supply. But Chief
Dontrumont says, if you miss it or end up going
through the medicine cabinet a different day, that's okay too,

in the lobby so drugs can be turned in twenty
four hours a day, seven days a week for safe disposal.
