A Gloucester police officer is placed on paid administrative leave

Jay Willett WBZ, Boston's news radio tragedy on the roads
of Boston. A young boy is dead, hit by a
school bus in Hyde Park. The neighborhood, the school district,
in the entire city really in a state of disbelief
this morning. Neighbors say the boy was hit while being
dropped off on Washington Street just before three o'clock yesterday. Afternoon.
Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office continue an

investigation they both say will take some time. The bus
driver is cooperating. Boston school officials and Mayor Michelle wou
say they are devastated beyond belief. The lights are back
on in much of Spain and Portugal this morning, after
a painstaking night of complete darkness for many some eighteen
hours without power, which ultimately grounded planes, trains, and took

a toll on automobiles too, and messed with mobile communications.
It is still not known what caused the power outage.
