Speaker 4 (00:13):
She gave forever to me? Ninety three point one w
p O C.

Speaker 5 (00:32):
Now truly we sum up what happened in the last
half hour real fast. Sure, because we had asked, what
is it that you never should say when you're fighting?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Bethany?

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Yeah, the phones have been a little incredible.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
What should he not say? I don't want to hear
that gravity is winning because my thought is sagging.

Speaker 6 (00:55):
You don't say that in an argument, says that, Oh
he's cheating on you.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Oh my god. And what did you want to add, ma'am?
Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
I don't want to hear my unemployed husband tell me
he doesn't know what's on his schedule this week.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Oh, well it's Monday. He's just getting things figured out. Oh,
those are some things not to do.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
In an argument. This is aggressive and there is a.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Big argument going on between Lamar Jackson and Dale Earnhardt Junior.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
We got a lot of response to this earlier this morning. Well,
at least their attorneys are. They're in court Yeah. Yeah,
so they're right.

Speaker 6 (01:31):
You know, the two men are actually arguing. They're people.
They're fighting over use of the number eight.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, they both kind of want the trademark to the
number eight. Dale's been selling his merch for quite some time.
But Lamar's people say he has two.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
But we say, what about cal Ripton, We say what
about Ovachkin right after what he did over the weekend,
now with more goals than anybody else in the history
of the world.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
But they're not trying to monetize their number.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
No, but they also had the number eight. What about
Kobe Bryant was number e what about all the other eights?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, I don't know. It's interesting, but a lot of
people are very angry with Lamar on our text.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
Yeah, I mean there's no support for Lamar. They're all
saying go Dale Earnhardt Junior. So that is where the
number eight battle stands. This morning, ninety.

Speaker 4 (02:17):

Speaker 1 (03:28):
I think that we're going to be seeing It's my
opinion that we're going to be seeing a lot more
three in a row concerts or week long.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Because you know, they save a lot of money busting around,
and they can make more money when they're in one place.

that's going to be Amber and Matt's baby was born

(04:19):
over the weekend. And a new study says that men
are overconfident when it comes to their running skills. I
asked you if you thought that you could outrun a horse.
You said, it depends on the horse. No, it doesn't
depend the horse got a broken leg. Maybe it's worth
mentioning that the fastest horse ever recorded had a speed

(04:39):
of forty miles per hour.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Usain Bolt's fastest time was twenty seven miles per hour.
About mister d come on, I can still be a horse.
Is a horse, of course.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Of course, it says that women don't think they can
outrun any non human competitors, but men still eleven percent
of men think they think they can.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Outrun a house cat. We can't run the cat.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
No, And twenty seven percent of men think that they
could out run a crocodile if you zigzag.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
You know, yes, here's the whole thing about crocodiles and alligators.
I lived in Florida, Okay, and the whole They always said,
if you're on a golf course or whatever, if an
alligator chases you, they can run really fast in a
straight line.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
But if you can zigzag, they can't cut because they
and they don't have the peripheral their little stubby legs.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
And you know, ninety three point one w POC traffic.

Speaker 2 (08:28):

Speaker 1 (08:32):
And question number three, if you had to rate your
sex life on a scale from one to ten.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Right now, one number? Would you give it? That's pretty good?

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Do you have any Do you have any advice for
people who are a little a little lower on the
scale than you.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Love an affection and give your partner everything that they need,

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Any good advice is wise. Beyond our years. You're going

Speaker 6 (09:03):
Carley Pierre day nice in ninety three point one w
POC traffic.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Have you ever want to weigh in on any of
our hot seat questions? Feel free to text us seven
seven nine six two. Begin your message with hi or hey,
all right. There's an accident on the outer Loop after
seven oh two. The left lane is blocked and things
are crawling from Eastern Boulevard. On eight ninety five northbound
at Child Street, there's a disabled vehicle. The left lane
is blocked and things are stopping and go back to
the steel Bridge. There's also an accident on three oh

(09:31):
one eastbound of Davidsonville Road. It's moved to the shoulder,
but still causing quite a bit of a delay there.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Ninety three point one w p O c Now, Trudy, Hi.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Michael, Jane, Bethany. What is on Bethany's mind this morning? Okay,
A couple things, don't don't love the rain. Okay, it's
supposed to be kinda yucky, a couple of days, not
fun to drive in and it's cold. But here's the
good news. It only lasts into the middle of the week.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, so I don't see if I look at the
extended forecast, though, I don't see four cat like the.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Highs in the seventies anytime soon. No, it's going to
be a minute. It's gonna just put away all my sweaters. Okay,
So now I'm gonna have to get some back out.
Welcome to Baltimore, I guess so. Uh. So I watched
the ladies Cuba for something. Oh my goodness, So that's
done on the lady side.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
So I watched the game yesterday yukon South Carolina. I
was sort of rooting for South Carolina because they beat us,
they might as well.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Go all the way.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
They didn't show up though, Oh boy, they didn't know.
They did not look good, and their coach was fit
to be tied down. She was ticked off.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
At them every time the camera would cut to her.
She'd be cussing. They'd be like, cutaway, cut.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
Away, get it off the coat.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Because she was just yelling at them and the men's Uh.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
There were some good games. I mean, Houston went right
down to the wire against Duke. It was anybody's game
right till the end. But Houston got to cut the
nets down. And then they're gonna go against the Gators
from Florida. That was a great game. The level of
intensity that I saw. I was really into the Gators game. Yeah,
and their intensity is just man, it looks like the

(11:10):
best NBA you've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Oh it's you know, it's better. It's way better. Yeah,
I mean it is. So who do you like for tonight?

Speaker 6 (11:15):
Then?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I my gut is the Gators. What do you think?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
I think that's probably what's going to happen. I was
going to make a little wager with you, but we
both agree. We both think it's going to be Florida.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
And lastly, I feel like the only thing falling faster
than the rain out there the stock market, sck market.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
So listen, here's the thing.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Just don't look at your investments, retirement and can we
ask this question really quick? How many of us really
are paying attention to the stock market or are you
more concerned just with getting your job done and paying
the bills?

Speaker 2 (11:49):
You know what I mean? Yeah, Like when do you
have stocks? Do you have? Is it mostly retirement? Feel
like what's going on out there?

Speaker 5 (11:55):
I would be willing to bet they say, like less
than fifty percent are in the stock market. Let's let's
take a little poll. Seven seven nine six two. Are
you in or out on the stock market?

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Does it?

Speaker 5 (12:07):
Does it matter to you as the stock market royal
that's going.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
On when we say the stock market's falling? Like, what
does that mean to you? Exactly? Seven seven nine six two.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Start with Hey, ninety three point one WPOC traffic.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
As we mentioned, it.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Is rainy out there, so please be careful as a
little slippery out there. There's an extent on the interlop
the off ramp to the BW Parkway. Looks like the
accident's on the ramp and it's causing a little bit
of delay onto the main highway itself. There's some debris
in the roadway on three oh one westbound after Business
Parkway in Stevensville and then Telegraph Road at thirty two

(12:43):
an accident.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
There are you ready for what's about to happen?

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah? Do you love.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Jelly roll and post malone? This is exciting every morning
this week, at this very moment. The ninth caller, simple enough,
just be caller number nine. You're going to see jelly
roll and post malone. Eight hundred three two one thirty
six ninety three.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
Our legal studies program can set you up for a

a law office and a government office.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
You can do civil, you can do criminal. That's Carolyn History.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Michael Jay's Music City Minute in sixty seconds. You don't
know like you own music, grow well.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
The story I was following over the weekend.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
We mentioned last week that Alan Jackson is at the
end of his career. Yeah, he's retiring because he's got
a medical condition. Yeah, so on stage in this show
over the weekend. I don't know, he just fell like
breaking the role. Maybe he's been listening to us too much.
But he told the audience on the microphone. He's like, Hey,

(14:06):
we're gonna have a good time. That's the name of
the song he was gonna do. Yeah, everybody just jump
over the barriers. You know they have like the metal light.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
He's like, don't worry about it, just jump over it
and move them, and we want you to dance. So
the problem was everybody did that and on the other
side of the metal barriers was photographers and security.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Oh that sounds a good nightmare.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Yeah. They weren't supposed to have people in that area,
but he's like, I'm come on down and dance.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
That seems like I wouldn't expect that from him. It
was chaos.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
So they actually, the producers of the show or like,
we got to stop this. So they put a great
big red sign up on the on the screens that
said the show is temporarily.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Delayed until you get back down where you're supposed to be.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Yeah, they got everybody back and they let Alan go on.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
It sounds like a mess.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
And he finished the show. So that is your music
city minute. I don't know that artists should be able
to just like say things like that.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Yeah, that's that's why, because that could lead to some problems.
I mean, it's his show. I guess he can do
what he wants.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
I guess people had a good time.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
And then he said, what are they gonna do stop
everybody from dancing?

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Sounds like funny against Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Ninety three point one WPOC traffic.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Okay, ninety three point one WDPOC one of your all
time favorites, some of the great Garth Brooks rain is
certainly the forecast today, dreary, the high forty eight.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
So we got to talking about the stock market investments
a few minutes ago. We wondered, is this something that
you pay attention to or not so much?

Speaker 2 (15:50):
And it seems mixed.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
It seems like most people are paying attention to it,
but they don't necessarily have anything tied up in it.
Somebody said, I lost ten thousand dollars. That's what it
means to me. That's Teresa, she said. And then someone
else said, I took a ten thousand dollars hit in
two days.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Love your show, all right, we love you too.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
Hey.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
The reason the reason we mention this is because, you know,
it turns out that one of the biggest sticking points
in relationships when people fight.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Is over money. That's true. Money.

Speaker 6 (16:21):
It causes so many, you know, arguments, and we on
Friday we were wondering, you know, what are some of
the things that you definitely shouldn't say in an.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Argument because you can't.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
As my wife Cheryl says, you can't unring the bell.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Gotta be careful what you say.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
She likes to say that to me. I can't unring
that O. I'm like, oh, did I ring the bell?
You don't want to ring the bell all the time?
I don't think so she's gonna ring my bell? So
what are some things? And we wanted to get ideas
from you on this, you know, and you can text
us at seven seven nine six two or eight hundred
three two one thirty six ninety three. What is something

(17:01):
that you absolutely should not say when you're fighting.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
When you're fighting with your partner? Is there a specific
thing that you say to Cheryl that she hates?

Speaker 5 (17:09):
No, but I do you really got to take a
breath and just take that second, because because when you
really get into a nasty argument.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
And we don't have these too often, we really don't.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
I've been But when you have a disagreement, you can
tend to just reflex. Yeah, you know what I mean,
just like, yeah, regard you.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
You don't want to do that. Think before you speak.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
Yeah, right, So it's take that deep breath and just
hold on for a second.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
However, do not tell your partner to calm down.

Speaker 6 (17:41):
No, that's not a great idea, No, but it's good
if we each can calm tell yourself to tell yourself
to come down. And also, don't say things like you
always or extremes. Yeah, the extremes are you never? Yeah,
those are two things you never want to say. I
don't like dismissive that. That really gets my goat. Like

(18:04):
if you're like, okay, do not say okay to me
calmly right, Okay.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
I got it, I understand. No, you have to you
have to hear each other. And this comes back to
the thing where I'm ALSTI learning from my wife that
you have to listen to understand, not listen to respond.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
That's my How are you doing with that? I'm working
on it. It's working progress.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
No, it.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
I admit that it's my it's my cross to bear,
it's my you know.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
What I mean.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Yeah, Well, self awareness is key, it is, Yeah, it is.
And you're you know, honestly, you're teaching me this.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
Yeah, you know, because there was quite a transition going
from being just a guy on the radio, you know,
in the afternoon by myself, and now I'm with you
and I'm looking at you and listening and I'm listening
to understand, not listening to respond.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
At least I'm trying to do that. I have a
better job of that.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
But what is it that you should never say in
an argument or a disagreement?

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Somebody said when in an argument you should never say
permanent words based on a temporary emotion.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
Oh that's good, that's good. Or eight hundred three two
one thirty six ninety lost even.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
That dirt on the carr hit hidden out of the
baby cass, that word car to the one foods and.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Then ninety three point one w POC Michael, Jay and Bethany.
You can crash our pizza up a los A party. Hey,
the fantastic four have been selected based on your votes,

(19:44):
and those are Pizza John's, Frank's Maria D's subshop, Len
Bernie and deep A squells or deep a squalies, I
should say deepest qualies. Those are the top four and
we will continue with the voting tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yes, all right now we're.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Talking about phrases or words you shouldn't say when you're
arguing with your partner on the text. Our number one
rule is that we do not say the D word divorce. Right,
that's not good. Don't ever threaten that. That's not a
good idea.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Someone said, what an argument you should never say?

Speaker 6 (20:21):
Is?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
I can't say the rest of that?

Speaker 5 (20:24):
No, you can't. No, don't say that one. How about
this one? Never ask if I'm about to start my
Oh no, never do that.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Guys. Oh is it that time of the month. No,
it's not. I'm gonna punch you, guys.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
Do not That is a really good way to go
right down the hole of you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
That's not you do not go there.

Speaker 5 (20:45):
All right, now, let's see what's what's happening on the
phone lines here at ninety three point onepoc Kim, So
would you want to say, Kim, you.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Should never call one or the other stupid?

Speaker 6 (20:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yes, stay away from stupid.

Speaker 6 (20:59):
Huh m, yeah, that's fighting words.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Okay, all right, Ken, thanks for calling. Thanks gas. Second,
we grab another line here. Good morning, w POC. What's
your name, Kathy?

Speaker 5 (21:11):
So, Kathy, what should you never say in an argument
with your significance?

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Really?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Yeah, it just makes you crazy, right, It's like it's
like it's al much like a crime extending ry.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Oh really?

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Ninety three point one w POC traffic.

Speaker 2 (21:30):

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
