Speaker 2 (00:11):
Now, all right, good morning, Michael, Jay and Bethany. Getting
things going on a Monday morning at six oh five.
We should start with the biggest story, obviously, the passing
of the Pope.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yeah, Pontiff was eighty eight. He had been ill.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
For some time and we had heard that he was
seriously ill, and then he recovered, so everything.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
It looked like it was, you know, gonna be okay
for the Pope for at least a little while, and.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Then he was.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
They say he was not himself on Sunday, Easter Sunday,
but he did deliver a message and then he didn't lead.
He didn't lead the whole service, though, he just gave
a message. I guess he's got like that balcony. Yes,
so he did a prayer. But then we learned that
the Pontiff passed at around thirty five in the morning
(01:01):
Easter Monday in Rome, which would have been about five
or six hours ago.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
So that is the big story we're following.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Also, the weather seemed to be an issue for most
of Baltimore County on the north side.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Uh late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
There's about one thousand power outages still yeah in the area,
so I know b Genie is working on that. We've
learned a little bit more about the water outage that
we've been telling you about. Apparently that is now affecting
two one two oh four, two one oh nine three

It's out there and we earned it. I am proud
to say we are a Baltimore personal orangury law firm

law firm in the universe and posts thousands of five
star Google reviews. Digest that it's not real, it's born.
Let me emphasize another important thing. When other lawyers talk
about past results, who cares. What matters is what my
firm does on your specific case and the result you
get on that case. Compassion We're not in the business
to be compassionate. We're in the business to get you

waking up, Pope France has passed early this morning on
Easter Easter Monday morning at the Vatican. So we've learned
(11:19):
that we're trying to find out how your Easter went right.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
I was going to make the traditional you know, Easter
dinner or whatever, right, but everybody was like, no, we
don't want that, and.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
I was like, okay, I aimed to please, let's go
pizza of eighty.
Speaker 3 (11:58):

Hey, we're going one uh, we're going contry crazy this morning.
We want to hear about your Easter highlights yesterday. So
hit us up eight hundred and three two one thirty
six ninety.

we just watching? You see?
Speaker 13 (12:19):
And I promise you you're going to have one bund
of just the things that you need.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
We ain't got much now ninety three point one wpo.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
C Now, Trudy, all right, we're looking into what's going
on with the passing of the pope uh and the
process that is going to be followed now to find
a new pope.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
He's actually going to be the first pope to be
buried outside of the Vatican. He'll be laid to rest
uh in Rome On in a simple white castle. Oh wow, yeah,
just in a nearby basilica, near a nearby basilica. Okay,
Then they have to pick a new pope. So what
they're going to do is they're going to have a conclave, right,
(13:11):
all the cardinals get together, all the cardinals, any cardinal
who's under eighty years old, bry be summoned to the Vatican,
okay to vote on the new pope, and any baptized
Roman Catholic mail can be elected pope.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
That means I could run for pope, you could. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
However, right since thirteen seventy nine, every pope has been
selected from the College of Cardinals.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Well that cuts me out, not a cardinal, but I am.
I am baptized. Well, so we're gonna find out about that.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
And then they have that whole ceremony where they put
smoke up because I guess, all.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
The cardinals they vote on secret ballot paper and then
once they count the vote votes, they burn the ballots
to make smoke.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
If it's white smoke, there is a new pope.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Right, and if it's black smoke, they got to keep
going at it, keep going to get a vote again.
So that whole process is going to be happening in
a few days. But I think first we have to
go through obviously burial. Yeah, so very sad news around
the world with the passing of our eighty eight year old.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
And it's so poetic that he died Easter weekend money, Yeah,
that is, that's very ironic.
Speaker 9 (14:23):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
And the other big story, there was a bus that
was driven by a well actually it's a professional bus driver,
but I don't know if he had a medical emergency
or whatever, but he was driving Hopkins students crashed into
a bunch of buildings, ye, just north of North Avenue,
and I don't know. They had the whole thing shut down.
(14:43):
They had to tow the bus out. Wild Yeah, there
were a number of injuries, people taken to the hospital,
but no one seriously. I understand ninety three point one
WPOC traffic.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Okay, we're heavy on ninety five before the Harbor tunnel,
but it doesn't look to be backed up.

Waiting all weekend for this moment, because you promised on Friday,
Miss Bethany, that you were going to tell us this
secret about jelly roll here at ninety three point one WPOC.
And I've been waiting to find out what it is,
and I thought maybe it had something to do with
what he talked about on the on the show with
did you see this with.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
Jennifer Hudson, Oh yeah, with Luke Bryan.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Yeah, they interviewed Luke and Jelly Roll and they said,
give him a bunch of questions, and she asked, Jelly,
what is one bad habit that you have that really
irritates your wife Bunny XO. He said, Oh, he's got one.
He says, I had this problem that I leave a
trail of clothes from the front door to the shower.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
So what does he do?
Speaker 2 (18:46):
He strips when he walks in and starts getting undressed
till he gets in the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Yeah. The amount of men that take their pants off
immediately upon entering a home, well.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
You want to get comfortable, but that is wild to me.
Drop him at the front door.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
I bet that's what he does.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah, he drops him and he just starts taking stuff off.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
The doc Yeah sure, oh my underwear chants.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Well, I hope he makes it to the bathroom by
the time he gets to that point. Yeah. So, so
is what you've got anything close to this?
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I mean so, So I heard him on a podcast
and I thought it was really fascinating because he was
talking all about prison.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
He was talking all about you know, becoming a musician.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
And you know how it's so, you know, when we
start playing an artists on the radio, it's like they're
they're new, new on the scene or whatever.
Speaker 5 (19:33):
But he's been he's.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Been uploading videos of himself singing since YouTube started, right,
So it's not new.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
It didn't just happen. It took It took good ten years, uh,
he said.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
He said on this podcast that I was listening to
that he made seven figures before he even got a
record deal.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Seven is that's a million or more more?
Speaker 4 (19:55):
And he yeah, he said the record labels kept coming
to him and offering him deals, okay, and he was like,
I already made more than that, Like you're gonna have
to do better. So he was making a million bucks
just from you, just from YouTube, and it took several
years for a record label to be able to give
him the kind of money he was already making.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
And I thought that was really fascinating.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
But the host of the podcast said that he they've
known each other for a long time and they said,
Jelly Roll is just the kind of guy that makes
your life better when you know them, and I was like,
that is such a nice compliment, And then I was wondering,
for everybody listening, who's the person that you know in
your life that just makes your life better just by
(20:36):
knowing them?
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Like, that's a really nice compliment.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
It is, and it's powerful, and hopefully we've all got someone.
So for you, who would it be?
Speaker 4 (20:44):
Oh god, I feel like there's so many people that
I meet that make my life better. Oh God, let's say.
Speaker 6 (20:53):
I think.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
I'm gonna say my mom.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
I was gonna say the same thing to minute.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Really I was thinking, because you asked me before we
came on the air, Yeah, I thought my mom, you know,
to get to this point.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
And then on some level, my wife.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Yeah, I mean I should say not on some level,
but it's at a different level than your mother, because
you're you know, you go back to your mom, and
I think you think back when you were little and
lessons that you learned, and then things will happen as
an adult and you're like, you know what, always done
it that way because of the way I.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Was raised, right, right, Yeah, So you think your parents,
But then on some level, I mean.
Speaker 5 (21:33):
I was my dad. I could say him too.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
What about Jeff Kbuji though he's our boss. No, I
don't mean that sarcastically. I mean nor your boss on
some level, if you have a good relationship with the
people that you work with, you know, like that's important.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
We just talked to a caller a minute ago who
said that she loves the people she works with. So
that's awesome the people you work with me because look
how much time we spend together, right, you know what
I mean? And your your job almost becomes your life.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
And lots of people spend more time at work than
they do, right.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
So if that's not three point one w POC.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Your buddy's Michael j and Bethany getting your day started.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Here, here's Luke Bryan.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Now we ask a question because you tell me Jelly
Roll yeah inspired you.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Because the people who were interviewing him on the podcast
said that just because they know him, their life, their
lives are better.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
And what a nice compliment.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
And I can see how he brings that energy into
a room, like he elevates the energy.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
You know, it's almost like you got to hit rock
bottom in order to turn your life around. And I
mean he he got to that point where he was,
you know, dealing with drugs. He was in prison, he
had really.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
A rough He said, you know, when I was growing up,
that was just the way of life, right, there wasn't
he said, like, you know, as a teenager, it was
like you either sold drugs or you did drugs.
Speaker 14 (23:10):
Right.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
So he in that case, he felt like he was
on the better side of things.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
You know what else is interesting about him?
Speaker 2 (23:17):
They asked him the other day, They said, would you
get rid of any of the tattoos you've got, and
especially the ones on his face? And he said, you
know what, I like the ones on my face. He goes,
I've got some really bad art on my arms. He
said he would get rid of okay. But it's interesting.
I mean, you know, he the part of who he is, Yeah,
it is who he is, and and I think that's
(23:38):
part of it because he's he comes across as as
a very genuine, very real person, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
There's there's nothing fake about him.
Speaker 10 (23:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
I was really confused as to how he did such
a such a turnaround. Yeah, but he told he says
that he his daughter was born when he was in prison,
And he said, when he found out that his daughter
was born, right, I said that changed everything about him,
and he was like, I don't want to be this
(24:07):
person anymore.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
I want to be someone she can be proud of.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
And yeah, and that's interesting.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
But he said it took a long time to become
that person. And I thought that was interesting too.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
It sounds like he grew up on text.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Somebody said God is the is the presence in their
life that makes them.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Well, that's hopefully true for all.
Speaker 5 (24:23):
Cowboy Mike said, uh, Bethany, thank you, Cowboy.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
Mike, look at you. You're the person that makes his
life better. He is kidding.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
And then somebody else said, my boyfriend, Matt, this is sweet.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
I never met someone that was so selfless and came
into my life at such a dark time and he
took on the role of stepdad and he's shining.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
He never complains and he's always helping me.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Oh that's sweet, he says.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
I love this man.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
You know, you bring up a good point.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
It's an opportunity for all of us to think about
who is that person who makes your life better?
Speaker 1 (24:55):
And maybe you want to tell him today. Ninety three
point one w POC
Speaker 4 (24:59):
Traffic eight and ninety five south between O'Donnell Street and
the Harbor Tunnel backed up just a little bit
