Is that right?
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Well, they had that baby giraffe we were talking about recently, right,
the little giraffe. They had a new chimpanzee born last summer,
and now they have got a brand new safoka lemur. Oh,
I never heard of us so much, fato, real quick,
cute little fella. The lemur was born to first time
(00:36):
father Terrence and mother Arcadia, who had not met until
the zoo introduced them. They were picked to breed together
as part of a nationwide species survival plan.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
Okay, the leamurs are endangered.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
So you'll be able to see the lemur and the
baby in the zoo's chimpanzee forest at the Baltimore Zoo.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
That might take a take a gander. Cute, right, that
seems really cute.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Okay, Hey, now you know there was a story I
think I shared a while ago. Several years ago, we
had an electrician at our house and one thing led
to another, and we found out that the electricians stole
a four thousand dollars tennis bracelet that I had bought
my wife. Yeah, so obviously we got into a situation
(01:23):
where we wanted to find out what was going on
when things are disappearing. Well, they found out that this
particular gentleman who was stealing had also stolen from the
company and had stolen copper wire. That's when I learned
that there's the whole thing around copper wire.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Oh yeah, well it's in the news.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Two ball fields are now off limits after dark because Bethany,
someone stole the wiring right out of the light poles
at a public park in a.

Speaker 6 (02:10):

Speaker 4 (02:10):
And they stole the lighting wiring right out of the posts,
you know in Annapolis.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
Yeah, that's not the kids can't.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Play at night, so Anna Rondo County police are looking
into it, and they're gonna find their man or woman.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
You never know.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Can you imagine stealing the wiring right out of a
light poles?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Times have gotta be tough if that's where you're headed.
All right, Thanks Diesel for texting in.

Speaker 5 (02:56):

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I mean, come on, yes, she doesn't give grandma energy now.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
But her daughter is expecting her first child in the fall.
Speaker 5 (03:07):

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Ninety three point one WPOC Traffic.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
There's a brush fire on Maryland.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Is it surprise you when you hear.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
That Shania Twain was the second highest earning female country
star last.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Year, You know it doesn't because where are the girls?
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Well, Dolly is number one, Shania is number two. That's
on top of Carrie Underwood and all these other stars.
So not really touring, you know what I mean. Yeah,
but Shania still has it going on doing it. Ninety
three point one WPOC Michael J and Bethany. We have
been following this tragic story, you know, and the police
(05:45):
have got so much to take care of on a
daily basis. When you go out to a call, you
don't know what you're facing. Yeah, and you get a
call like this in our Beutis where there's a man
who's you know, walking around with a bow and arrow.
We find out that he had I mean, obviously there
were some mental issues something was going on.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah, So a man wearing a ski mask, armed with
a bow and arrow was fatally shot by Baltimore County
police and ar Buddhists after allegedly firing at passing cars.
Here's so this is that was the news article, right,
firing is what I have trouble with in that sentence
because he has a bow and arrow. He wasn't firing.
(06:26):
Well no, but if he's shooting arrows, he is. He's
firing arrows, I know. Yeah, but well maybe that's sensational. Yeah,
now I get it. But then that's what they said
that he was shooting. I mean, listen, a bow and
arrow can take you out like a gun can. That's
a serious thing.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
So officers, there were two officers on the scene.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Right.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
One of the officers shot and killed the man.
Speaker 5 (06:51):
Right.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
But the problem or the situation is with the cams,
the body cams.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
What is going on with us?
Speaker 3 (06:58):
So this is.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
This is the question I have and we'll take your
opinion on this or anything. Seven seven ninety six to
who begin your message with hi or hey or our
number is eight hundred three to six ninety three. So
one of the officers was not wearing a body cam,
and the second one was not activated until after the incident,
and I think I misunderstood.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I guess I don't understand the bodycam thing.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
So that's kind of what I'm looking for, is some clarity,
like is it optional to wear a bodycm? Does it
protect the officer, does it protect the people the civilians?
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Does it or both?
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Right?
Speaker 5 (07:35):
You know what I mean? And is it.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Optional to turn it on? I just have a lot
of questions about it.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
I don't have any of those answers.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
I was at an ice cream store the other day.
It's getting a milkshake, and an officer came in. He
was going to get some ice cream, and I thought.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Are we on this bodycam having ice cream together? We
weren't together, But you don't go to ask him.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
I mean, we have a lot of officers who listened,
a lot of state police, a lot of troopers. We
would love to hear from anybody in law enforcement who
can kind of fill in the blanks.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
I also have several other follow up questions, For instance,
do you like wearing a bodycam? Do you do you
forget that you're doing I forget that it's there, Like
you know, I just kind of wonder.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Well we got to find out. Well, we'll definitely get
response to this.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
I got a feeling, I hope, So seven seven nine
six two begin your message with higher hay or call
eight hundred three two one thirty six ninety three.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Especially if you're in law enforcement and have to wear
a bodycam.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
We'd like to hear from.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Seana Kuzka, Jasey Yadam Banks Soun ninety three point one, WPOC,
Michael J.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
Bethany And questions have been brought up after.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
A shooting in Baltimore County and our beutis earlier this
week a man who was armed with a crossbow an
arrow and was alleged to have been shooting at traffic.
Police respond, and we have questions because apparently, Bethany, you
say the officers one of.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
The officers didn't have a bodycam at all, and the
other one had one that he turned on after the incident.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
So I just pulled up some field manual information and
this is all public.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
It's on the internet.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
This was revised in twenty twenty four on duty members
wearing any class of uniform, and this is in Baltimore County.
They say are required to wear their BWC, which is
the body worn camera, and there's all these different stipulations.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
I mean, if you go to a restroom, you can
turn it off, okay, but.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
You know, outside of that, it sounds like it needs
to be fully charged and you've got enough memory space
on there you're supposed to check before you start your
tour of duty. And then it looks like officers are
required to have those bwcs on.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
So so according to the text, someone said, hey, as
an officer, body cams are mandatory. Some turn on at random,
some are on all the time. Both of these officers
will see reprimands. And then I was questioning the bow
and arrow thing about the story. They said that they
were firing a bow and an arrow. Right, It's like,
(10:23):
but someone said, a crossbow is not a bow and
arrow that you use in high school. It's a weapon
with high pressurized release people hunt large game with.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Right.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Someone else said, firing firing is the correct verb. A
crossbow is fired by pulling a trigger. It's a deadly weapon.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Exactly.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Thank you for clarifying, because.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Absolutely that is the thing.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
You know at guntry, just to say this really quick
or I shoot, they now have crossbow and they've expanded
to that, so it's it's become kind of a popular activity,
you know. But why this man was walking around our
butus with a cross.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Scheme, you know that, you know?
Speaker 2 (11:02):
So I mean, and that's like, you know, I'm glad
to clarify that, but I guess I'm more interested in
clarification on it.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Well, it seems that the officer who texted us is correct,
and those officers will be reprimanded or.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Lose their jobs. I mean, because it appears it's very clear.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
It seems like this is exactly the incident that we
would need the body case exactly one WPOC traffic.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Little Garth Brooks to ease you into a Friday morning
here with Michael j and Bethany.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Ninety three point one WPOC.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Now right, NFL drafts started last night.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Now, of course, we're not the first team to pick
because we were in the thicke of things at the
end of last season, so that puts us I think
we were the twenty seventh.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
But we did get a guy who people seem to
be impressed with.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Georgia safety Malachi Starks is now a Baltimore.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Raven, so that feels right just hearing you say that, Yeah,
you like that.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
I like that. Well, here here he is, let me see.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
No, Yeah, we're good.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
There he is with his Ravens.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
He looks he's got the number one because he's the
number one round pick, first round picks.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
How exciting it is.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
It's cool for his family, it's cool for him, but
it's especially cool for the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
What do the folks think about this guy?
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Malachi Well, Brian Whacker who is a reporter, and Mike
Preston who's a columnist, and Sam Cohen, they all talk
in the Sun about how they think this is a
very strong pick for the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (12:40):
We need help in the you know, in the defense.
What's his he's his safety.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
So he's going to play so like you know when
they when they kick off and you know the guys
are in the backfield.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
Yeah, I never understood that. Well, he's on the defense.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
He's going to be doing the running.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah, well he's he's going to be playing like with Hamilton,
like they're they're like they're like the safety. They're like
before you get to the end zone when the team's
running towards us with the ball, we got our guys in.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
The back Okay, see, okay, Malkai.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
All right to go Malakai in there.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Yeah, anyway, Landing Starks Baltimore got not just a productive
player his seventy seven tackles led the Bulldogs last year,
but a defender who can make plays on the ball
and is versatile enough to play multiple spots in the backfield.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
Let's go, Ravens.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
It's gonna be a great season.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
You feel better?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Now?
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Are you bumped up? Are you ready to scream? All right?
We're good?
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Ninety three point one w POC traffic.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Wait wait, what what sound does the raven make? Well,
there's a number of difference. Now you mean you mean
the bird, actual bird. I can do my dove.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
I gotta work. I gotta work on the ravens.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
There.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
You got it right.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
That was good. Do that again.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I keep up in the loop of entertainment and pop
culture and the things we shouldn't care about.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
But some we really do. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Ninety three point one.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
So over one hundred thousand mourners have crowded Saint Peter's
Basilica in Vatican City since Wednesday. Wow, so many people
that now they're keeping the tomb open through Sunday, even
though The funeral is.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
Tomorrow morning.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
For the Pope.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Of course, I don't know if I mentioned that, Yeah, no,
you did, But I'm just so, how do they keep
it open after the funeral?
Speaker 5 (14:28):
Did they return I wonder if they return his body.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
There and they're just not sealing it yet.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Oh, okay, okay. So we talked about the draft a
little while ago.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Shaduur Sanders, which as Dione Sanderson, went unselected in.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
The first round as well. That doesn't mean he's not
going to get drafted still though.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
And Gilbert Arena's former NBA star, his son Elijah, who's
an eighteen year old USC basketball recruit, was in a
really bad Tesla cyber truck accident yesterday morning. He had
three thousand career points in high school.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
Isn't that any idea of his condition?
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Or is he's in a medically induced coma?
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (15:04):
I know, I feel terrible. So that happened.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
And then in entertainment news, the thriller You, the fifth
and final season has dropped on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Everybody's excited about that.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
McKenna Grace is going to star in The Hunger Games
Sunrise on the Reaping movie The California Bar has used
AI to write its latest exam and people are very
upset about that. Billy, a woman's body care brand, launched
a new advertising campaign in New York City. Scratch and
(15:37):
Sniff deodorant ads their giant armpits and you scratch and snow.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
I don't want to smell that.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
And lastly, if you're looking for in addition to your
new spring wardrobe, Donald Trump's online store is now selling
clothing with Trump twenty twenty eight on it.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Well, hopefully it was made in America.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Ninety three point one WPOC traffic Slow traffic on b
Tow Parkway South between a Rundomme's Boulevard and NSA.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Right ninety three point one WPOC Michael J. And Bethany. Now, Bethany,
tell me about this. You you think that some people
are keeping secrets from their spouses.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
I can't imagine.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Yeah, I went down a rabbit hole.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You know how the internet will suck you in right
now and again, And so I ended up on Reddit
and was reading responses to what is a completely harmless
secret you keep from your spouse?
Speaker 4 (16:28):
Now, I don't think secrets ultimately are a good thing
because when they do come out, and they always do right,
then it ends up backfiring on you.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
Right.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
In other words, if you just reveal everything up front
and you're completely transparent, you know what.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I mean, well, and you're completely right.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I think when it comes to like big things, you know,
these are like I think, kind of cute. Okay, well,
you'll let me know what you think. I'll read you
a couple of them. By the way, weigh in seven
seven ninety six to two. Begin your message with high
or hey, if you're keeping a secret eight hundred three
two one thirty six ninety three if you want, if
you're brave enough to tell us on the phone.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
All right, here are some of the cute ones.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Okay, I always get a hot dog when I go
to Costco solo, right, But then when I get home,
I pretend I haven't eaten so we can eat together.
Oh yeah, that's not the end of the world, dude,
I gotcha. I pretend that I'm asleep when he leaves
for work. He always gives me a gentle kiss on
the forehead before he leaves when he thinks I'm still sleeping.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
But maybe she just doesn't want to talk, or she's
got bad breath or leg.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Right, I think she just wants a little cute kiss.
Oh that's sweet. How about this one?
Speaker 6 (17:35):
I love it?
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Okay, we live in a condo. I send the elevator
to the lobby right before she gets home from work.
She thinks she's so lucky every time. That's fine, Well,
that's thoughtful, right. No, this one guy, her tomato seeds
weren't growing, so he went to the store and bought
tomato plants and made her feel feel like and didn't
tell her.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
Yeah she grew, honey, Look they grew really big overnight.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
You gardener, baby man, you got a green thumb.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
So I just wondered if anybody out there has like
a all right, you know, harmless secret you're keeping from here, gotcha?
Speaker 5 (18:09):
All right?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Well if you if you have a cute little secret
like that or a big scary one, you get it
off your chest.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
And maybe if you just.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
Want to tell us you have a secret and not
reveal a secret, that's okay too.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
We want to hear from you in six lame backed
up traffic. Ay.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
So for the guy who says, honey, I haven't eaten,
I'd like to have dinner with you, secretly had a
hot dog at Costco.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Yes, there's a song from Zach Top You Never Lie.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
There's somebody texted and said, I she loves to find
a dog toy in her purse because it makes her
feel like the dog likes her or whatever. So sometimes
if she's having a bad day, I'll throw the dog
toy in her purse to make her smile.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
And then somebody just said, before we got married, I
slept with her sister. No, no, no, no, no, that's
not what we're talking about. That's the secret he slept
with it. No, that is not a harmless secret, right,
I mean you do you reveal that? I think I
think you've got it before you before you get married.
Awkward for everybody at Thanksgiving, you know.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Oh my god, I mean, how would that's two people
keeping that secret too?
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Right?
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Is that your sister's lying to you and your.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Yeah, well, we have not heard any texts from anybody
keeping secrets, so maybe that's revealing on the fact.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
That we're all revealing, they're they're not willing to share.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Yeah, but we would love to hear from you this
morning seven six two. If anyone this is your last chance,
if you want to let it out of the bag.
Get it off your chest. Right if you're keeping any
type of secret that you have felt for a long time,
I really need to get rid of this secret. Tell us,
dump it on us, and we promise we won't tell anybody.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
We'll keep it. We'll keep it between the three of us.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
All right point one W POC traffic.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
There's a
