Hey guys, it's Bethany from the Michael J Morning Show.
You're listening to Michael J and Bethany after Hours.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Ninety three point one w p C.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Now seven five Michael J and Bethany. And we've got
a woman who is reacting. She wants to say something
about this story we've been talking about this morning with
the National Weather Service.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Like we're trying to decide where the alerts come from
for the tornadoes. Did we get enough warning the other day?
I don't think so. Well, let's see what she has
to say. Ma'am, you're in the air well.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
My my nephew, Austin Kent was one of the homes
that was hit by the tornado.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
I'm staring story where, yes, where's his home?
Speaker 4 (00:47):
It's right in in uh Essex. They had a big
thing on the news. One of the homes got the
roof tore off and his home every surface is affected.
But he was home and he had his eighty seven
year old grandmother out on the porch and he got
an alert on his phone and the alert notified him
(01:07):
that there was a tornado in the area. So he
got his grandmother in the house just as it hits.
Thank god, they got that warning because she wouldn't be
with them because their front porch got humbled with stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh my god. And he didn't get an alert on
his phone. Okay, yes he did. Well, that's good. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
From where?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, I don't know, from service. Probably he got.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
The alert and was able to get out and he
just got through the door shut when it hit. And
he said, as he was putting her in, he had
his son's toy box fly out of the backyard and
he just pushed her in, got the door shut.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
And that was it. Well, our best everybody, we're thinking
about you.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
There's a go fund me for the Kent family. How
do we help support Kent family tornado recovery?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
If you google that.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Ninety three point one WPOC. Who's going to get the
Lee Brice tickets?
Speaker 5 (02:06):

but I can't help it because that's what the news
is all about. Friday, we told you his new album
was was out yesterday. We told you that he debuted
at number one. He threw a great, big concert over
the weekend. He's had a lot going on right in
the last few days.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Right.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Well, now, Morgan Walland's grandma is, as you say, Bethany
spilling the team.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Okay, grandma, because Grandma.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Grandma wants to weigh in.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
She's like, I got a famous grandson and his name
is Morgan Wallan.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Well, she says that when he was a little.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Boy, her nickname for him, and I'm hoping I'm saying
this right Mogi m Og. I is Mogi she called him.
She just said that's what I call he's a little boy.
He used my little Mogi. And she also went on
to say, Grandma said, Morgan Wallen has.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Never ever cussed in front of her, never.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I don't know, doesn't use a I call bs on this, Grandma,
did you see the videos of the racial slurs.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Well, Grandma says, versus her little Mogi has never sort.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
He's a true Southern gentleman. All right, all right.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Uh, the other big news today, Luke Combs has some
surprises up his sleeve. Been putting what they call those
easter eggs on it. I don't know. He's got all
kinds of tips. He's trying to like hint what's gonna happen.
He's teasing a new collaboration. You know about this guy
on Belly and yeah, he's like a pop guy.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah, he's like.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
A rapper, your songwriter producer.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I'm not up with John Belly and I'm up with
Luke Combs though.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
And Luke is apparently working with this singer songwriter producer
and he has a new song called Why and apparently,
from what Luke is hinting, it drops Friday.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Okay, hey for that, and that's going to be good.
I bet one final.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Tip in Michael Jay's Music City Minute this morning, ladies,
you might want to take a peek and you can
give me your evaluation.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Bethany I already took a peek.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Caine Brown, who he's on a fitness journey. He's dropped
twenty pounds. He wanted to cut weight and he wanted
to be in really top tip top condition for his
shows this year. He's shirtless and he's showing you the
before and the after and he is rocking a six pack. Now, Bethany,
your free day critique.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Now, you know, I am never one to objectify raw
Oh yeah, young man's body. Okay, ok but if you're
you know, pressing me to give my opinion, Okay, what
do you think? Is he a ten?
Speaker 6 (05:06):
Now?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I think he's always been cute. Yeah, but he's really
cut now look at him.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
I know.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I but his dad bot is hot too, so you
didn't have a dad bod, but he he did begin
to have a little bit of curve around the waist.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah, I see. I'm cool either way. Yeah, but look
at that man. I'm jealous.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Oh well, here at ninety three point one w POC
Michael J and Bethany. You got me over here all
excited because we're gonna be giving away Kenny Chesney tickets
hopefully very soon. The whole quest for Kenny's gonna happen
in about three or four minutes. And Bethany, you are
all whooped up about seventh.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Heaven, right, did you watch that show?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
No, but it's a big deal. I know because it's
coming back, right.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Well, they're making a reboot, and I'm like, absolutely, do
not do this.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Oh you don't want to rebook.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I don't think it's a good Okay, we need to
get some help on this. Seven seven ninety six two.
Begin your message with or hey or eight hundred three
six ninety three. I know it was big in the nineties, right, Oh,
it was like I don't know if it was just
where that's what I want to get. I want to
take a temperature. I'm right, was this as big of
a deal as as it was for me and my friends?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
I know it is for you. I don't know that
it was for me though, you know, right, So I
don't think it was for you. It was more for girls,
wasn't it. Yes, it's a kind of a girl show. Well,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
I think everybody watched it, but I I think maybe
more millennial the millennial crowd, right, So I just want
to know what people think.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
I just love us because we're we are we're we're
definitely different people, you know.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
I love how you are not the same age as me,
but you're always like remember like records, no, like no,
I don't remember that.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yo, well, I don't. Like you're, oh, do you remember
Earth Wind and Fire. I'm like, no, like I do,
but I don't. You know what I mean, you Wonderland,
it's really cute.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yeah. So you're like, I didn't watch seventh even. I'm like, yeah,
because we're not the same aids. That's okay. I know
it's all good, that's okay. But you know about it,
you know Jessica Beal.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
No, I do know about it, and I do know
about Jessica.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
And you know, the dad from seventh seven gotten to
a whole bunch of trouble.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yes, So I'm like, I don't know if we need
to bring this back.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Guys also online like on TikTok and Instagram, on the
reels or whatever, they're right, they show these clips from
Seventh Heaven that like did not age well. Like yesterday,
I saw one where Simon had like a little homeless
girl that he like pretended was.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
His pet, and I was like, oh, this is bad.
You know, like what were we thinking?
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Like some shows are not meant to be brought back, like,
for example, can I just yeah please?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Suits?
Speaker 3 (07:43):
For example, I loved now Suits Socked when it was
out originally, right, then it went on Netflix. Everybody loved it.
Then they tried to kind of reboot Suits and it
was terrible. I know, it didn't even last one season,
but you know what.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
I also think that nobody, like the pandemic our our
threshold for like good media like just went all the
way down. Like we were like, we're bored, we'll watch anything.
So that's when Suits became popular. Those we were like, fine,
we'll watch it. We got nothing better to do. I
don't know, So what do you guys think should we
bring back seven to seven? Jessica Biel and CBS Studios
(08:19):
are in early development of this reboot. It could be great,
it could be terrible.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
I don't know. All right, well let's let's find out,
because I'm telling you you are whooped up about this
seven seven nine six two.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Somebody said, hello years.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Someone said hello, I'm over fifty and I love Seventh
Heaven and I would love a reboot. Then someone else said, high,
Seventh Heaven is not needed. And also I actually really
like suits La. It's a shame they know.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
And then lastly someone said, hi, Seventh Heaven was my.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Thing, but no reboots, thank you, but they are asking
for a gil Gilmore Girls reboots sod so okay. And
then I read that Ruthie from Seventh Heaven is dating
a super fan.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
And I was in the city. Well, I was in
Ocean City, so I thought maybe that's why. But like
I was like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
We got this several blocks away from fed Hills, so
well we should have, right, I was like, what happened
to these like alerts?
Speaker 2 (15:30):
I thought we were all getting on our phone.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Well, an EF one tornado with peak winds of one
hundred and ten miles per hour, it did rip up
quite an area. The National Weather Service now is recapping
the path of this tornado, which lasted for five point
seventy five miles Bethany and a maximum with seventy five yards.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
That's a that's me right, roofs were ripped off. We
I don't have any reference point, though, I'm like, that's huge. Wow,
no IDEA football field's one hundred yards. Oh, I mean,
like compared to other tornadoes, you know, what I mean.
I mean, it's the EF one, So it's not like
an EF five.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
I saw a twister like it's not that it wasn't
that big so but but this one ripped the roof
off the Merrit Club of Canton, which was condemned temporarily,
I guess.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
But now they're saying they're going to be able to
get that roof back on this. They turned that around quick.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
Well it's the Merrit Club. I mean, it's a it's
a big place. But and in Dundock, did you hear
about that? You know, there was a row of apartments
that I mean the roofs were just ripped right off
and they're out in the Merrit Boulevard.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
But I saw family lost their house in Harford County. Yeah,
it's really sad. So let us know what's going on
in your neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
As far as storm recovery seven to seven ninety six two,
begin your message with higher Hay or call us eight
hundred three six ninety three.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
I know there was one really hard hit home on
Sunbury Road in Dundock. The roof was ripped off and
the slow boatas who lived there just say we're thankful
to be alive. Wow, Because when it's something like that
hits in your house is destroyed. You know, how did
I survive this? You know ninety three point one w
POC traffic, Well, not a whole lot of traffic problems
(17:12):
right now, but if you do know of one, you're
more than welcome to join us.
Speaker 2 (17:16):

Speaker 5 (17:18):

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Ninety three point one checking.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
Pull smar sid.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
So I think I'll still breathing. I can't enjoy that
song any more than I do. I mean, I turn
it all the way up.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
But I'm like, you know, and she's gonna be at
the anthem, Megan Morony, not just tomorrow night, but Thursday
night as well.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
That's that's interesting. Yeah, it is.
Speaker 6 (17:57):
Come on, I keep us in the loop up and
pop culture and the things we shouldn't care about, but
somehow we really done.
Speaker 1 (18:09):

thank you. Uh yeah, I got a date with some penguins. Yeah,
so go get the whales and everything.
Speaker 2 (18:18):

list of the top ten most watched Netflix shows.
Speaker 2 (18:29):

all right, all right, and then I'll let you know
at the end.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
How money are Megan Maroney in I'm not Megan Maroni,
but Meghan Markle.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
I think none.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
None.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Meghan Markle doesn't make the cause zero to one? Okay, okay?
Speaker 7 (18:43):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
A porch pirate in DC stole the doctoral cap and
gown from a George Mason University students.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Terrible.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Well, there's a plot to this. Once they realized what
was in the package, they took it back. Ah, well
that's not I was like, why do I like this story?
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yeah? That is sweet, that's kind of precious.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Taylor Swift dropped a song during a new episode of
Handmaid's Tale. She dropped look What You Made Me Do?
Taylor's version as a surprise to Swifties. She also completely
reorganized her website. I guess reputation. Taylor's version is coming
out soon during the AMAS next Monday, and she's got
(19:26):
some hints on our website. Yeah, she is a genius marketing.
I'm telling you unbelievable, unbelievable marketing. Okay, then Jeff Bezos
and Laurence Sanchez are said to be planning a ten
million dollar wedding in Italy at the end of June,
two hundred guests, including the Kardashian family, Katie Perry of
(19:46):
course her spaceflight partner.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
Ten million dollars divided by two hundred people. What are
they spending for?
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Version? That's all I can I can't even imagine.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
So I guess Lady Gaga and Elton John are going
to perfor They're gonna They said they wanted to keep
it intimate at two hundred people. I'm like, but I
got but they probably know a lot of people, so
two hundred for them is probably quite intimated.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Ten million dollars on a wedding, incredible one. You get
out in John and Lady Gaga. All right, let me
know what do you think is the most watched Netflix
show of all time? Of all time? YEP four seasons,
No Squid Game. Squid Game is.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Squid Game season one is the number one show Wednesday,
number two. Squid Game Season two is number three. I
didn't watch Squid Game at all because it seems too
much for me. I have watched it is It's strange
it's too much for me. Yeah, Stranger Things number four,
Adolescens number five, which I tried watching and I don't like.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Did you like that?
Speaker 4 (20:52):
No?
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I didn't watch it yet.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
It's weird, Like I'll put some things on that people
were talking about and I'm like, I don't really like
this and you can just skip.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Yeah you know Dahmer number six, Yeah, Oh I watched that.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Bridgerton number seven. Yeah, Queen's Gambit number eight, didn't watch.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Oh, you love that. That's great.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Bridgerton season three is number nine, and Money Heist number ten.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Do you ever feel like when you're watching something on
the stream and then it has like the continue watching?
Do you feel pressured to continue watching even if you
don't like it?
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Now, if I like it, I'm watching it.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
And the best shows I think are the ones that
there's there you have such a hook you can't help
but flip to the next episode, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
But overall overall, I'm not gonna have my TV command
me refused. Oh, I feel the pressure. Ninety three point
one WPOC traffic.
Speaker 8 (21:46):
I'm six ninety five the Interlope northbound after Security Boulevard
before Liberty Road. Broken down vehicle reported in the roadway
not causing it to way right now, So watching the
road carefully there. Interlop heading past Security Boulevard on the
way up toward Liberty Road. That's a direction of bit
slow on the outloop as you pass it Liberty Road.
And then from I seventy down to Border Route forty
just some heavy volume there from points north seven ninety
five looks good. From Reisterstown down to the six ninety
(22:08):
five interchange, eighty three Harrisbury Expressway and the JFX delay free.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
And oolady it's lone as you rat here ninety three
point one WPSC.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
We were talking about tornadoes and that f EF one
that came through Baltimore. Yeah, Fell's point through Canton and
Dundoc Friday night.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
You did get a warning or didn't get a well,
not get a warning on my phone. Then someone at
Chick fil A did get a warning. They did, but
they said.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
It was like be almost too late, like just just
a couple of minutes before it happened, which I mean,
I guess that's what happens. But then I saw a
story this morning about how in Saint Louis there was
a deadly tornade, know, and they no sirens went off
at all. Wow. And the mayor said that it was
a situation of like nobody knew whose job it was
(23:08):
to put the sirens on.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
And I was like, what I'm trying to figure out?
Is it human run or is it automated? This whole
National Weather Service tornado warning system.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
So here's what I'm seeing on Google.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Okay, they're saying National Weather Service Tornado Warning system is
a combination of both automated and human run processes.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Well, that sounds good.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
They say that that the computer models kind of layout
what is likely to be a threat, and that a
human being forecaster has the responsibility of issuing the warning
when they see. Well, look that Doppler radar says x
or we've got reports of citing a tornado on the ground.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
But you got to figure it though, Bethany, these things,
there's a lot of room for error. Yeah, there is.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
And they also land really quick. It's they come out
of the clouds.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
You know.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
I remember peacefully sitting on the beach and Grant came
in looking out at the water, and they call them
water spouts. It's basically the exact same thing as a
tonado tornado, only it's in the ocean and they come
there like you're looking and then oh, look at that.
It comes down at it connects and it's there. So
I guess what they they look at the Weather Service,
(24:25):
They look at winds and they look at.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Patterns that could develop into a into a tornado exactly.
But they never like when I was younger, Like when
I was a little girl, I remember it being pretty straightforward.
You hear the siren, you go to the basement, right,
But now it's like, well, you might get a thing on.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Your phone, but you could shut that off if you want.
And I'm like, well do we want to? I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Does anybody really know who's running this whole systems.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I'm curious because I mean, it is a matter of
life and death.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
This sun.
Speaker 8 (25:08):
Under all right.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Ninety three point one w POC National Weather Services recapping
kind of what happened Friday night with that tornado. So
we were asking the question, who is sitting there with
their finger on the switch on the button to.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Warn us when there's a tornado?
Speaker 1 (25:33):
The warning?
Speaker 6 (25:34):
Souk?
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Did we did the radio station?
Speaker 3 (25:36):
You know?
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Again, I don't know because I wasn't here.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I'm assuming we get eas which is a national warning thing.
So there are times that if something like that is imminent,
then they just they can break in.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah whatever, and you'll hear like the duc tones.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yeah, we call them. That's a very serious thing when
you hear that, and we treat it seriously. But it
com from offsite from.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Here, between not getting not hearing it on the radio
and also and or not getting it on my phone.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
I had no idea and I was like downtown.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
So I'm like frustrated about that, like like, wait a minute,
I didn't know that was happening, right, And like.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Maybe it's very millennial of me, but I don't pay
attention to the weather at all, really at all. A
lot of people, I guess get like that. You know
what's strange to me? Yeah, because I'm a year or
two older than you. The weather to me matters, you know,
like nah, I just leave the house and I'm like,
oh shoot.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
And when I went to when I got and maybe
we should ask the audience about this too. But when
I jumped to this morning show with you, I asked
a few people like should we do the weather every
time we come on? The radio and you said no,
and other people said no, and I'm like, oh, okay,
because I was brought up in a time where it
was like, hey, Sunday in seventy two, today you know,
(26:57):
you know, And I still it's the first thing I
check when I get my phone right away.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
I go, I go to the weather, and I go
what's today going to be?
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Like nah?
Speaker 2 (27:08):
And then I'm like, okay, well now I know what
to wear. And I get all excited if it's going
to be nice, you know, like today is going to
be sunny and tamps right up to around seventy eight,
seventy nine something like that.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
When people start talking about the weather, iune all the
I that is so interesting.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
I don't even know what you just said. Really, you
started talking about weather, and I was like, Max, that's
so funny. I was like, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
The only time I care is if I'm about to
potentially die, and like then I would like someone to
take this cell phone that I.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Have in my hand right here and let me know.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
I think it is so interesting that people in their
fifties and thirties and have such a different view on
it and I don't.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
I'm like the other day, I had like a little
sundress on and I was out showing houses and I
was like.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
I was like, ohday, is this why people pay attention
to this? You would have listened to the weather. You
wouldn't have been half naked. Ninety three point one WPOC traffic.
Speaker 8 (28:06):
Around six ninety five the Belimway getting pretty slow. On
the outer loop from Horford Road around to Perring Park
