to get into this college football playoff situation because what
we're about to witness is something that has never happened before.
And what I mean by that is it has never
happened before. It's a twelve team college football playoff and
it starts tonight as Indiana travels to Notre Dame seven
pm kick and it is going and Notre Dame is

favored by seven and it is going to be twenty
seven degrees. The first college football playoff game is played
in the Midwest, and it is.

And one of the things that I was thinking about
during this matchup Cincinnati one of those teams that has
had not Cincinnati, I'm sorry, Indiana, one of those teams
that we've talked about a lot this year. This is
a coach that has done some things Signetti, who is like, no, no,

we're just we're that good. Have you seen us, Google us,
check me out, check me out. I've done some good
things in my career. And he was upset because they're
not going to be a team that is hosting. He
thought that they should have hosted over some of these
other teams. And I'm just like, well, whatever, dude, We'll

And then you have Notre Dame.

Notre Dame is just that team that everybody either loves
or hate. They're pretty much the same as Texas. You
either love them or you hate them and the Golden

a big rooty guy like you are you like that
rut movie? I'm not that guy, but I pay attention

This is a team that has been independent. They've done
some amazing things throughout their time. You've had some Heisman
Trophy winners and the history is what it is is,
but they've always come up short in a lot of

lost the Rose, the Cotton, the Fiesta, Orange, Peach, and
Sugar and it is the longest streak in such history.

Winning. But you sit there and you look at this team.

But there was somebody that talked about Texas's defense and

was wondering if Texas defense can hold up to what
this game was going to be against Clemson Clemson's offense
is special, but ken Texas defense played to that level.

And so when you look at their defense, KG and
Texas who they have played, the average offense that they
play all year long is eightieth in the country. Clemson
is seventh. This will buy far and away be the
best offense Texas has seen all year long. Kate club
Nick is third in the country, third in the country

and touchdowns thrown with thirty three. He also has the
least amount of interceptions of anybody in the top ten.
And so this guy takes care of the football, pushes
it into the end zone, really makes it happen.

So this is what I'm fascinated.

To see because we do have a massive body of
work from Texas where you think you know and you're like,
this is it, this is who they are, this is
their elite. But then you kind of dig into and
you're like, maybe maybe they're not, you know, And so
I'm fascinated to see that aspect KG and how does
Clemson operate offensively against those guys.

That is funny to me because that was part of
acc network who will be here at the State. It's
that optimism, right, you try to punch holes in some
of the theories, and that's okay. I mean, that's what it is,
and that's how it goes down a lot of times.
But you still look at Texas and we've seen it
because now how all of a sudden is the SEC

not the top conference. Now all of a sudden, Texas
is in it and the SEC is anymore.

Yeah, I'm like, oh my gosh hard. Yeah.

The number one thing that said about defense is what
it travels. Defense regardless of how potent your offense is.

You know who had a.

Real potent offense in ninety six, the Houston Cougars. I'm
talking about throwing it all over the field. They played
Florida State, the number one defense in the country that year.
They scored twenty two points. They was averaging almost fifty.
Defense travels, defense always gonna show up, and Texas is

arguably the best defense. It's definitely the best defense that
Texas has ever had statistically. And now we get to
see if this defense travels and prove it to the
nation that there's a reason that Georgia and Alabama won
all those years, and it wasn't because they had great

offensive play. It was because of their defenses and Texas
is the only team outside of Georgia that had as
that balance. So let's see what Clemson's balance looks like.

Yeah, and the nightcap will be the final game of
the first ever college football Playoff Round one where teams
get home games. It will be Ohio State versus Tennessee.
Tennessee is an explosive team, got a great running back
in Dylan Samson. The quarterback Nico not gonna mess up

you can't let one thing, you know, mess up a play,
like little little details matter even more, you know, like
you can't let a guy maybe come inside on a
block or you know, you know, blow up a bubble play.

You know they're gonna be a little quicker. And you know,
I think number three their corners a really good player.
I think their defensive front is unbelievable. I think they've
got some really stout guys inside they're a little harder
to move for the old lineman, you know. So whether
it's you know, getting getting some double teams on those
guys or getting some finding some ways to move them
or slow them down, there's different things to go into schematically.

But at the end of the day, you're still playing ball.
And I don't really think about it that much, you know.
I mean, maybe the windows are a little tighter, but
at the end of the day, football's football, and you
got to execute the players that are in front of us.
