We've got championship weekend. We have a lot to get into.
But last night the Texas women's basketball team ended up
falling to Notre Dame in overtime seventy I mean eighty

to seventy to fall to seven and one on the
season matter. Some booker led the team with twenty points.
But it was one of those games, Mark that we
we look at and we're like, it got away from it,
got away from it, It got away from you. And
I'm sure Vic Schaeffer felt the same way. You know,
you watch the game and you understand that that mission right,

You knew going into the game it was going to
be a challenge. Yeah, we needed some Dan Campbell energy.

about that life and she was the whole game. This

son is an NBA player, Coach Ivy, really good coach.
You could tell inbounds, plays every facet of the game.
She was more than aware on every situation. She added
confidence to her players. And I think that that's the
one thing that Texas was missing last night, is that

spark that we're gonna come to your house and we're
gonna snatch your curtains off the wall. Well, you gotta
have some attitude, man. Well I think some of it
was the fact too. I mean, we see this a
lot because snatched your curtains off the wall through you
a little bit. It did, It did just a little bit.
But you look at the game and how it unfolded.

Texas is a team that they have so much talent
and they're trying to find a way to match it, right,
like you want to make sure, like Madison Booker, we
know who she is, She's gonna get her shots up.
But she took twenty one shots and nobody else was

the game, going three or six.

was like she wanted to facilitate last night when she

more than a supporting actress.

And it could have come down to this, and coach
Vick probably mentioned this. They didn't shoot the ball in overtime. Well,
they were one of eleven. They got two points in
the overtime, so that is something to address. But you
also looked at the third quarter they were oh of
one from three point land. They shot fifty percent from

the field, They shot fifty percent in the fourth quarter,
but they were two or five in the fourth And
you start to look at this team and you say,
all right, where would it have gone wrong? Texas had
twenty three turnovers in the game.

I could not believe it.

And I know the first thing that Kochvig said when
they came in the back, Hey, good effort, but we
cannot turn the ball over twenty three times.

They did the things that they needed to do to
be able to be in that position. But coach Vick

get to the point of all the time it's been.
You know, we down and let's let me teach you
something out of this. No, you want to have that
sweet taste of victory. But it's the purpose. They got
out scored in the overtime twelve to two, and that
was the big difference. I mean, you go to overtime,
you get there, and Texas was battling, battling, battling. They

won the fourth quarter, but lost, They lost the second order.
The second quarter was the difference to be able to
to get to that overtime and then they just took
off in the fourth.

to this point, and no, it's going to be a
heck of a challenge as well on Saturday.

I think Kirby and the University of Georgia have been

years or so. National championships and conference championships, have recruited
